Canada Students Visa Requirements Applicant

o o o o A valid passport with adequate pages to endorse visa. All cancelled or expired passports if available. Work permit/student permit or temporary stay permit if you do not reside in your country of citizenship. Signed and dated two passport size photographs. KSHS 10,340/- Canadian High Commission student visa processing fee payable by Bankers Cheque payable to: High Commission of Canada (with principal applicants name in brackets). If you require our assistance in preparing the bankers cheque we can do so for you. In this case, the bank charges for preparing the cheque will be Kshs. 500. VFS Canada Application Centre processing charges of Kshs. 2,685 payable by cash. Fully filled up, dated and signed Study Permit Form IMM1294, Schedule 1 Form IMM 5257B, Use of Representative Form IMM 5476 if applying through a representative and Consent Form if applying through VFS Canada Application Centre. If you are unsure about certain areas to fill leave them blank and our student recruitment officers will assist you. Marriage Certificate, Birth Certificates and passport copies of spouse and children, if any, whether they are accompanying you or not. Other documentation like family, financial, employment, property ties in order to satisfy the visa officer that you will return to your country of residence after your stay. Original and a photocopy of the Letter of Acceptance from an educational institution on Canada. Proof of tuition fees payment. Proof of current and previous studies One page Study Plan containing the following information:1. Why do you wish to study in Canada in the program for which you have been accepted? 2. What is your overall educational goal? 3. Why are you not pursuing a similar program in your country of residence? 4. What research have you done into studies in your country of residence/citizenship? 5. How will this program enhance your employment opportunities in your country of residence/citizenship? 6. What ties do you have to your country of residence/citizenship? 7. If it has been more than 2 years since you have left full time education, please provide your Curriculum Vitae. 8. In the case of a minor applicant, what are your reasons for studying in Canada? What is your parents/guardians immigration status in their current country of residence? Notarized authorization by father AND mother for any unaccompanied minor under18 and an Affidavit from the guardian in Canada (Custodianship Declaration) and present original authorization upon entry to Canada. If a minor is travelling with only one parent, custody documents or notarised letter of consent from the other parent is required and the original of authorisation should be presented upon entry to Canada. Original birth certificate for minor children. Copy of plane ticket or reservation. Proof of scholarship, if any.

Sponsor
o Proof of financial situation from you or your parents in form of recent bank Statements of between USD 30,000 35,000 or a bank book for the past six months from financial institutions. You will need about CAD 10,000 a year for your living expenses, plus tuition fees and the airline ticket. Fixed deposit accounts, if any. Copy of sponsors ID card or passport.

If the sponsor is employed, a letter from the current employer is required and this should state the job position, years of service and salary. Pay slips for the past four months, pin number certificate and proof of income tax Payment. If the sponsor is self-employed, the business registration certificate, Memorandum of association, financial statement, pin number certificate and proof of income tax Payments are to be presented. Completed Undertaking of Support Form.(please find attached the form) Lawyer sworn affidavit of support, stating that the sponsor will be paying for tuition fees and living expenses during your studies in Canada. (Sample attached) If third party is sponsoring you, he/she must provide a letter explaining why he/she will be financing your studies. If that person is a relative, proof of relationship inform of birth certificates. Other supporting documents like investments, properties, income from rental properties, share certificates, lease agreements e.t.c.

Submission of fraudulent documents or misleading information will result in a rejection of your visa application. In addition, applicants may be determined to be inadmissible to Canada.
