Argus relay racks and box bays are flexibly designed to suit almost any communications application and integrate seamlessly with other Argus products.
Relay racks and box bays Argus relay racks and box bays are designed to provide outstanding strength and durability. Constructed of formed 10-gauge steel, each rack will support a high compressive load and has a highly resistant powder coat finish. The racks are untapped and easily bolted together for rapid on-site assembly. Box bays have an adjustable rail to provide equipment mounting flexibility. Tapped racks are available upon request. While most units mount flush to the front rails in a bay, heavier units can be center-mounted to provide increased stability.

Battery Shelves Each Argus battery shelf is constructed of formed 10-gauge steel and is braced to provide a rigid platform for batteries. Scratch and corrosion resistance is accomplished by the application of a tough powder coat finish applied to each component. Argus offers battery trays for 19 and 23 relay rack mounting. Batteries are typically configured for rack power systems in groups of two or four (12 VDC). Up to four, 345mm x 172mm (13.8 x 6.9) batteries can be positioned on a 23 battery tray. Consult factory for details on various battery mounting options.

Battery Base Plates When modular battery assemblies are mounted in a rack, a base plate should be specified. The plate is mounted in the base of the rack and will support the full battery assembly weight.
