Sitapatr School Anuban Weekly Outline This week we are learning: Prepositions of place
Circle Time Review Activity Time
TPR Students will race from one side of the class to the other in the mode of animals and transport shouted out by the teacher. Good fun game to get the students warmed up. Locations game The students have to find classroom objects as the teacher calls. Stop the songtaew. Students are split up into 5 groups and compete to write down a set number of words from a given topic i.e. 10 words from 'animal.' Pass the word/sentence Divide students into two teams. Have them stand in lines. Pass the two front students a flashcard or a piece of paper with a sentence written on it. They have to race each other to say the vocabulary or sentence then pass it back to the end of their line. The students will complete a 7 word spelling test this week from the focus vocab. The words are: in, on, under, above, in between, in front of, behind, next to.. The students will do 2 prepositions worksheets which include writing out the correct preposition in relation to a picture and drawing the correct preposition down.

This week we are going to review the focus vocab from last week. And also to review the vocab words that we learn at the start of this week. In phonics we will recap the sounds and words from last weeks phonics lesson. We will also be reviewing of classroom objects and play a game where students have to race around the class to find various objects, such as pens, pencils, rulers, erasers etc. We will practise a set of sight words and review the days of the week and months. students are called to place the fish in various positions around the bowl, asking the question where is the fish? and replying the fish is.........the bowl.

Phonics
Review This week we will have a recap week, where we will review all of the sounds covered so far in phonics book 3. This is to ensure the new sounds are all retained and the students are able to demonstrate them in spelling, reading, pronunciation. We will complete worksheets that include the covered sounds to further develop understanding.

Up, down, in, out, inside, outside, upside down, right side up, beside, next to, on top of, under, behind, in front of Grammar: the book is inside the bag, the pencil is under the box, the chair is on top of the table Where is the.......? The (noun)... is ..(preposition)..the..(location).

Writing Practice Students will practice writing out the focus vocabulary words. We will also practice handwriting in our handwriting booklets.
