ENERGY STAR® Rebate Criteria
1. Only makes and models on the current ENERGY STAR® eligibility list qualify for a rebate.
2. Appliances installed in rental properties qualify for a rebate.
3. Appliances for resale, rental, or lease do not qualify for a rebate.
*Dishwasher criteria will change August 11, 2009, some dishwashers will no longer be
eligible for a rebate on that date.
WINDOW CRITERIA:
4. Only replacement of single pane window(s) qualify for a rebate.
5. Window efficiency requirements: U-factor .40 and Solar Heat Gain Coefficient
(SHGC) of .40 or less.
6. Save all window NFRC stickers to send in for proof of U-factor and SHGC or
confirmation sheet with efficiency of U-factor and SHGC.
7. Window rebate maximum is for the life of the program.
Calculating square footage: if window size in inches 36 by 48 (36" x 48") divide 36 by 12 to
equal 3 feet, (36" ÷ 12" = 3 ft.) for one side, do the same for the other side of the window to
give you 3' x 4' = 12' for a windows square feet. If more than one window add all windows
together for a total window square footage of your project.
ELECTRIC WATER HEATER CRITERIA:
8. Qualifying electric water heaters MUST have an Energy Factor of .94 or greater.
9. Must provide proof of Energy Factor.
TERMS and CONDITIONS
Funds for these incentives are limited. REU reserves the right to change and/or terminate
incentives at its own discretion based on availability of supporting funds. REU also reserves the
right to inspect and verify installation of any energy-efficiency improvements. Customers who
reject REU’s verification process may be subject to rebate denial or reversal. REU does not
guarantee any equipment or energy savings. Only current REU customers qualify for a rebate.
