Login Information: All student accounts are monitored and filtered automatically and manually. Gaggle administrators may conduct a random check of your inbox at any time. Student accounts are to be used for professional, educational purposes only. You will be subject to disciplinary action for failure to follow the terms of service or the FBISD acceptable use policy. All language is filtered, both in the content of the e-mail and in any attachments or documents uploaded to the digital mailbox, posted on message boards or blogs, or turned into homework drop boxes. Profanity or abusive language is blocked. Some words that may have educational applications may be blocked. (example: Nazi, gun, perro). If an attachment or e-mail is blocked, an administrator on campus will review the content of the e-mail during school hours. If it is deemed school appropriate (for example, a school-assigned paper about Nazi Germany or Gun Control) it will be unblocked. This includes uploading presentations to digital lockers or homework drop boxes. The pornography filter scans all images and blocks any images that might be inappropriate. Images such as faces may be blocked because the amount of flesh tone triggers the filter. If your message or file contains material, images, or language that is not specifically for educational purposes, it may be blocked and it will be referred to your assistant principal for disciplinary action. Gaggle accounts are not to be used for casual correspondence between you and other people. Gaggle is not for discussing social events, plans outside school, or even to say hello to your friends unless you are given an assignment to do so by your teach er. Gaggle accounts may be used to : communicate with experts in an academic field to ask questions communicate with colleges or universities to seek or reply to information directly related to the process of college admission, scholarships, or participation in athletics collaborate with other students on group assignments communicate with teachers or other school staff members Gaggle is a powerful tool that, if used properly, can enhance your learning experience by allowing you to be an active participant in the global community.
DROP BOX:
For students to send to Teachers Drop Box: 1. Log in to Gaggle 2. There are 2 ways to access the class drop box; (1) click classes on left hand side or (2) on the main screen, click your class and it will go to drop boxes 3. Open designated assignment folder and click submit assignment (above folder) 4. On the next screen, you can attach your file (with paper clip). Wait a few seconds to see that it is attached. 5. Click submit
