Alcott is about family relationships and explores family life thoroughly. It also reflects issues of feminism, as Jo consistently struggles with the boundaries 19th century society placed on females, including not being able to fight in a war, not being able to attend college, and being pressured by her Aunt March to find a suitable husband to take care of her. Jo are 2nd daughter, 15 years old, very tall and thin, long limbs, decided mouth, a comical nose, sharp grey eyes, has long, thick hair, big hands and feet, she is tomboy or boyish. The good qualities in Jo, she does not like others say about their family, afraid losing Meg who had grown up, bookworm and loves to write book. The negative qualities in Jo, she could not control her tempered , a quick temper, sharp tongue, and restless spirit, hate romance in her life. She is importance in this story because she is brave to meet, talk and come to Mr. Lawrence house, friendly, feel pity at Laurie at first, likes to give and lend, liked do to daring things. Second main character is Margaret or Meg. She is the eldest, 16 years old, pretty, being plump and fair, large eyes, plenty of soft brown eyes and she has white hands. The good qualities in Meg, she always follow her mothers instruction or keep her word. Besides, she grown up lady, and she also low profile. She is important in this story because she battles her girlish weakness for luxury and money and at last she ends up a poor man she loves. Next, the main character in the Little Women is Amy. She is ten-year-old Amy, artistically talented but impractical, must overcome her thoughtlessness and learn to help others. The good qualities in Amy is less selfish, less concerned with her appearance.

Besides that, the main character is Beth or Elizabeth. She is thirteen-yearold , an excellent pianist, must overcome her shyness. The last main character is Laurie. He is charming, fun, intelligent next door neighbour, like to be friend with Miss Marches. Besides, he is rich boy, loves music, he is born in Italy and not very strong. The good qualities in Laurie are struggles with his grandpas expectation of him, has good heart, polite, kind-hearted, he has give all Miss March presents.I think he is important in Little Women because he likes Jo. Jo also loves him. He always lends his shoulder. Meg is the first daughter, Jo is second, Beth is third and Amy is the last one in their family. In my conclusion, this story is very amazing and bombastic. This is because it can makes me happy and sad when read it. I think this story brings out the reality. Besides that, I think this story can makes us likes to read it. The plot of this story is very smooth and easy to understand it.
