The Department of Civil Engineering is approved as a State Technical Agency for Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana, by both, the Central Government and the UP Government IET is one of the top 3 colleges in UP identified under Technical Education Quality Improvement Programme (TEQIP) phase 2 (subcomponent 1.2) for the transformation of the Technical Education System in India in partnership with the World Bank Owing to its excellent track record as a model educational institution, IET Lucknow has been given academic autonomy by the UP Technical University (May13) Paper titled Bending of Light near a Star, Gravitational Red/Blue Shift & BlackHole presented by Dr. R. C. Gupta (Professor, Mechanical Engineering) at International Conference on Relativistic Astrophysics at Stanford University, US IET has been proactively leveraging its IEEE students chapter over the last 9 years to organize multiple events (e.g. Ethical Hacking & Cyber Forensics Workshop; Autonomous Robotics Contest) to provide students a wider technical perspective

The Placement Cell is well equipped with the necessary infrastructure to support every stage of the placement process. Following facilities are made available for the various activities: Well furnished Lecture Theatre to conduct Pre - Placement Talks Air-conditioned rooms for conducting interviews/ group discussions Facility for online tests at our Computer Centre Manpower support wherever needed
Invitations are sent to the Companies by the Placement cell Post receipt of intimation by a company, a list of interested students satisfying the companys criteria is prepared Tentative date for the company s visit is worked out After confirmation, the office arranges a Pre-Placement Talk The company conducts its selection and shortlists students for the interview The results are announced usually on the same day Students who receive confirmation letters are reserved for the company and not allowed to sit for any other visiting company Also, once into the selection process, no candidate can drop out at an intermediate stage
