What is Injoos?
Injoos is a comprehensive and Easy to Use collaboration platform for teams that combines
the simplicity and UGC features of social networks with the power of enterprise document,
project and knowledge management tools in a single, hosted web based application.

By Registering

Follow these simple steps to register in Injoos:


1. Enter the URL as www.injoos.com in the Address field. The Injoos landing page
appears.

2. Click the or button on the Injoos Landing page. The Join

3. Enter a username in the Choose a Username field (minimum of 5 characters).


Note: Click Check Availability to see if the name has already been taken. If yes, then
give another name.
4. Enter your first name in the First Name field.
5. Enter your last name in the Last Name field
6. Enter a password of minimum 6 characters both in the Choose a Password and the
Re-enter Password fields.
7. Enter your registered email address in Email Address field.
8. Enter your mobile no in the Mobile Number field.
9. Enter the letters displayed in the Security Code field in the Enter Security Code
field.
Note: The letters in the Security Code are case sensitive.
10. Read the Terms and Conditions and Privacy Policy, and then select the I have read
and agree to the Terms and Conditions and Privacy Policy checkbox.
11. Click Register.

Note: Now you can either Create your own group or Join an existing public group.
Note: The fields marked '*' are mandatory

By Invite

To join Injoos by invite, you need to receive an invitation from a member of an Injoos group.
The process is pretty simple. The invite to join Injoos is sent to your email address (e.g.,
john@yahoo.com). Click on the link provided in the invitation message, which leads you to the
Join Injoos web page.

1. Enter a username in the Choose a Username field (minimum of 5 characters).

Note: Click Check Availability to see if the name has already been taken. If yes, then

3. Enter your last name in the Last Name field.
4. Enter a password of minimum 6 characters both in the Choose a Password and the
Re-enter Password fields.

6. Enter your mobile number in the Mobile Number field.
7. Enter the letters displayed in the Security Code field in the Enter Security Code
field.
Note: The letters in the Security Code are case sensitive.
6. Read the Terms and Conditions and Privacy Policy, and then select the I have read
and agree to the Terms and Conditions and Privacy Policy checkbox.
7. Click Register.

Note: Once you complete the process of registration, you become a member of Injoos as well
as a member of the group from which you received the invite.

Login and Password


A registered member needs to enter the username and password in the appropriate fields and
click Login to log in to Injoos. Topics related to log in and password are given below:

Remember Login
If you do not want to type your username and password every time you log in to Injoos, you
can select the Remember Login checkbox while login. Your computer will remember both
your username and password. So the next time you enter the URL www.injoos.com, you will
directly enter the Injoos group page.
Note: For privacy and security reasons, do not select the Remember Login check box if you
are using a public or a shared computer.

Forgot your Password?


Relax! Just click the Forgot your Password? link on the Injoos Landing page. The Request
for a new password screen appears.

1. Just type in your username or the email ID that you provided while registering at
Injoos and click Request.
Result: You will receive a link to a unique verification page on your registered email
account.
2. Click the link. You will receive another email with a system-generated password.
3. Use this new password to log in to your Injoos account.

Invalid Email Address


You can log in to an Injoos account only with a correct username and password. If you enter a
wrong username or password during log in, an Invalid username and/or password
message is displayed.

Change Password
An option to change your password anytime is available under the My Settings link on top-
right of the page.
To change your password:
1. Click on the Account Settings tab. The 'Change Password' page appears.

2. Enter your password in the Old Password field.


3. Enter a new password in both the New Password and the Confirm Password fields.
4. Click the Change Password to change your password.

Mast Head links


The Mast Head links provide links to My Groups, Create Group,Browse groups, My
Cabinet,My Settings and Log Out. These links always appear at the top right corner when
you navigate through the Injoos pages.

My Groups

My Groups gives the user, the list of groups he/she is a part off.

Create Group

Create a group of your own using the Create Group link. Invite members of your choice by
making it a Private group or allow any member to join by making your group Public. You can
even have the option of accepting or denying memberships. Click here to know more about

Browse Group

Use the Browse Group link at the top of the Injoos landing page to explore groups. Injoos
allows exploration of only public group profiles.

Using Browse Groups, you can search for group based on the categories of the
groups.

My Cabinet
The My Cabinet link provides access to your Injoos mail box, your items, calender,Invites and
Memberships.
In the Messages tab, you can Compose your mail,check your Injoos mail and view your sent messages.
In the Items tab, you can view the list of all the items posted in your groups by you.
The Calender Tab gives you a list of events you have registered to help you organise better.
The Invites tab gives you a list of invites you have invited to your groups.
Finally, the Memberships Tab gives you a list of all the Groups you are a part off.

My Settings

The My Settings link provides access to Profile Settings, Account Settings and
Preferences.
In the Profile Settings tab, you can view your Injoos profile as well as group profiles . Injoos
allows you to update/edit your profile except Username, Email and Password and if you are
the Moderator of a group you can edit your group profile. Click here to view the process of
editing your profile.
In the Account Settings tab you can change your password, set your time zone, select your
primary email and also set your open Id settings.
Preferences tab helps you to choose your email notifications group wise.

Log Out

Injoos makes it easier for you to log out from whichever page you are in. The Log Out link
appears on all pages and you have to just click on it.

What is a Group?
Group is a association of people coming together with a common social or professional interest
and/or background to share their views and learn collectively.
The real-world groups need a home online and Injoos provides them the platform with rich
interactivity that these groups can use. An Injoos member can join any number of groups.

What can I do with 'My Group'?


There are a host of things that you can do with your group. You can invite your friends or like-
minded people into your group. Injoos allows you to invite friends from your address book of
your registered Email accounts such as Gmail, Yahoo, AOL, etc.
You can post news, events or have a discussion within your group. When you add an event,
other members of the group would join the event and you can have the privilege of knowing
who and how many are coming to the event. You even have the control of accepting or
denying new members who would like to join your group.

What are Public and Private Groups?


Injoos offers a unique feature that allows you to make your group either public or private. This
option is offered when creating your group. However, once you have designated your group as
public or private, you cannot change the status later.

• Public group: Members can view and join your group by clicking on the Join button
and answering questions that you or the group moderator has set.
• Private group : Members cannot see any information about your group. Neither can
they join the group. The only way that a member can be part of your group is by
getting an invite from either the moderator or a member of the group.

How to Navigate among Multiple Groups?


If you are a member of multiple group, you can easily navigate among those groups by just
selecting them from the My Groups link. You can view any groups by selecting from the drop
down.

How do I Create a Group?


To create a group in Injoos:
1. Click the Create Group link at the top of the page. The Create a Group screen
appears.

2. Enter a name in the Name of Group field.

name once you have created your group.
3. Enter a web address for your group in Pick a Web Address fied

4. Select the Public or Private from the radio button.
o If you want to provide unrestricted access to your group to new members, select the
Public radio button.
o If you want to restrict access to your group to only invited members, select the
Private radio button.
5. Set the Group Membership as ON or OFF using the radio buttons. The default
setting is OFF.
o If you want members to join your group without the moderator’s approval, select the
ON radio button.
o If you want the members to join your group only after moderator’s approval, select
the OFF radio button.
6. Set the Group Content Creation as Yes or No using the radio buttons. The default
setting is Yes
7. Select a category from the Choose a category drop-down menu. If you do not find
an appropriate category, you can select others and type the name of the category in
the Details for Others field.
8. By default, the Founder field will have your user name. You can change the user name
to a name of your choice.

How to Join a Group?


To join a Group:
1. Click on Browse Group and search for the group of your interest by categories, most
recent, most members or most active.
2. Click on the desired group and the group profile appears.

3. Click the button.


4. Answer the joining questions if the moderator of that group has set and click Save
Answers.
5. Once the moderator approves your request, you become a member of that group .
Note: You cannot view private groups by searching for them. You can join a private
group only if you get an invitation from the moderator or a member of a private group.

Browse Group
Use the Browse Group link at the top of the Injoos landing page to explore groups. Injoos
allows exploration of only public group profiles.

Using Browse Groups, you can search for group based on the categories of the
groups. To search for groups in Injoos, click Browse Group and use any of the
methods mentioned below:

1. You can easily check out groups from the random groups by category provided in the
side panel. Click on the any of the category to get a list of the groups.
2. You can also search within the category by clicking on Recent,Most Active and Most
Members links.

3. Clicking on Recent link will the list the most recent groups in that category.
4. Similarly the Most active and Most Members lists the groups with most members and
most active group in the category.

My Group
Know my Group

Know more about a group by taking a look at the group profile.


• Group Charter - This gives you an outlook on purposes and aims behind the group
creation, as entered by Founder.
• Group Description - You get a brief description of the group.

View all Members of a Group

Find all the members in your group by using the Member Directory tab. This allows you to
view all the members of the group along with their roles in the community.
Click Member Directory in the Member Center tab. This displays the nicknames of all the
members along with their image and role in the group.
• Click Moderators to view the names of the moderator/s.
• Click Members to view the names of all the members including the moderators.
The Member Directory can be viewed in two different ways:

• Alphabetic &endash; lists the members in the alphabetical order


• All &endash; displays the members in a list format.
Use the navigation links explained below to get to the desired page.

View List of My Groups

Look for groups that you are part of under My Groups drop-down list, which appears at the
top right corner of your Injoos page. My groups also provide you options such as:
• Close Active Tab - closes the active group tab.
• Keep only Active Tab - closes all groups tabs other than the active group tab.

Invite People to My Group

Make your friends, relatives, or people whom you know a part of your group by sending invites
to their email account. To invite:

1. Click or clicking on tab. This displays the Send


Invitations window.

2. You can enter the registered Email addresses in two ways:


o Enter your friends' email addresses in the Email Id field and click Next.
OR

o Click . This displays a window from which you can choose your
email account.

o Select from the list of services and click Next. This displays the login page of your
email account.

o Enter your username and password and click Sign In. You will be directed to your
address book.
o Select the email addresses of your friends and click Next.
o Click Done or Back to go back and select again.
3. Confirm your selection and click Next or Cancel to select again.
4. Click Send to successfully send invitations to your friends.

Announcements
Use the Make an Announcement to the Group feature to convey a message to the
members of your group. All the members of the group will get the announcement. Follow the
simple steps provided below.
1. Click on Make an Announcement to the Group in the Manage the Group in the
Moderator Central page. The Compose Message page appears.

2. Enter the name of the group, subject and message.


3. Click Send to make the announcement or click Cancel to cancel your announcement.

Subgroup

What is a subgroup ? When do we have subgroups with in a


group?

Subgroups are created under groups to logically group people, information or a project with in
a group. Sub groups will have discussion forums, news, library etc by itself.

Subgroups can be created when multiple projects are running under a main project in
corporates, NGOs or any other organization. When Information needs to be logically
segregated with in a group.

How Do I create a sub group?

Subgroups can be created only by the moderator of a group. Moderator has to click on
moderator tab , go to manage the group tab and then create a subgroup.

Quit a Group
You can leave the group if you are no more interested in being part of a group. To leave a
group:
1. Click My Settings -> Profile Settings. This displays your profile in the group.

3. Click Leave to leave the group.


4. A popup appears to confirm your answer, click OK to leave or click Cancel.

If you want to leave from some other groups also then,


1. Select the group from the list box
2. Click Leave button
3. Confirm your answer, click OK to leave or click Cancel.

Memberships
View all the groups of Injoos in which you are a member from the Memberships tab.

1. Click the button at the bottom-right of the page, select My Cabinet and click the
Memberships tab.
2. Click on My Cabinet -> Memberships. This displays all the groups in which you are
a member, your nicknames in each group, your role (Moderator/Member), status
(Active/Suspended/Quit) and the date when you joined each group.

Messages
Check out the latest messages you have received on your group and also compose and send
messages from the Messages tab.

View Messages

Click the My Cabinet tab or click on icon to view messages that you receive on your
group.

• You can view the messages that you received or sent by clicking the Received or
Sent tabs.
• Use the drop-down menu to sort the messages as Announcements, Invitations,
Message or Notifications.
• Delete the messages by selecting them individually or use the All | None buttons and
click Delete.

• Use the navigation links to go to the other pages.

Compose Messages

Compose messages and send it to your group members using the Compose link.
1. Click the My Cabinet link at the top of the page.
2. Click the My Stuff tab.
3. Click the Compose link under the Messages tab. This displays the Compose Message
page.

3. Enter the details in the To, Subject and Message fields.


4. Click the Send button to send the message to your group members or click Cancel to
not send the message.

Items
You can view the news, events and discussions that you posted on your group in Items. To
access Items:
1. Click the My Cabinet link at the top of the page.
2. Click on the Items tab to view the items that you posted to the group.

OR
1. Click on icon on the Notification Bar. Click on View all to view all your
items.

Calendar
View events scheduled on Injoos calendar by your group members using Calendar tab. To
access Calendar:
1. Click the My Account tab at the top of the page.
2. Click the My Stuff tab and then click the Calendar tab to view the events scheduled
in your group or you can also click on the icon on the status bar below to view your
events.

Invitees
View details about the members you have invited to become a part of your group under the
Invitees tab. To view the invitees:
1. Click the My Cabinet link at the top of the page.

2. Click on Invitees tab. This displays the names of members you have invited, their
email address, date when invited and the status of you invitation
(Accepted/Rejected/Expired).

My Settings
My Stuff provides the option to view, compose and send messages. You can also view items
posted, details about members whom you have invited, and events scheduled on your Injoos
calendar.

mProfile Settings
Profile Settings displays your general profile that you created while registering in injoos and
your profile, displayed in groups, you are a member of. To view your Profile Settings:

1. Select My Settings -> Profile Settings


2. Profile View page displays your:
o Username, Full name, Birthday, Gender and Location
o Community Affiliations
o Interests and Hobbies
OR
1. Click the Go to button located at the left-bottom of the page.

The Profile Settings page has a link to edit your general profile and group profile.
To edit your general profile:

1. Click in the general profile


Note: You cannot change your username, first name, last name and the email ID that
you provided while registering. However, you can edit details such as birthday, gender,
address, contact number, interests, hobbies, qualification and profession

2. To change the birthday click the calendar icon on the right side of the birth day text
box and select the date
3. You can edit Address, Location, Interests, Hobbies and Qualification by entering the
data in the respective text boxes.
4. To change the access restriction on your profile, select the Public or Private radio
button.
5. To change the image, click Browse, navigate to the folder where you have stored the
image and click Attach.
6. Once you have completed editing your profile, click Update Profile to retain the
changes you have made or click Cancel to discard the changes.

To edit your profile in the groups:

1. Select the group, of which you want to edit your profile view from the group profile

2. Click link in the group profile

3. You can change the nick name. This nick name will be displayed with your activities in
the group.
4. To change the image, click Browse, navigate to the folder where you have stored the
image and click Attach.

Member Profile
Click Member Profile in the Member Center tab. This displays:
• Your group nickname.
• The group joining questions along with your answers.
• Your group profile image.
• The member profile page also has an edit button and a leave button.

• Click to edit your group profile. You can change your group nickname and
your profile image.

• Click if you want to leave the group.


Note: Once you leave the group, you can no longer share or view content in the group.

How do I Edit My Profile?

To edit your profile:


1. Click on the My Settings link at the top of the page.

2. Click the Profile Settings tab and then click to edit the profile.
3. You can edit details regarding Birthday, gender, address, city, country, contact
number, interests, hobbies, qualification, and profession.
4. Select the Public or Private radio button to set the access restriction for your profile.

5. Click the Browse button, navigate to the folder where you have stored the image and
select the image.
6. Click the Attach button to attach the image.
7. Once you have completed editing your profile, click Update Profile to retain the
changes you have made or click Cancel to discard the changes.

Daily digest and Weekly digest


What is a daily digest and weekly digest. How do I subscribe to
it?

Daily digest is a daily update of activities in a group. You can subscribe to daily digest by
checking the daily digest check box in My account/preferences.

Weekly digest is a weekly update of activities in a group. You can subscribe to Weekly digest
by checking the Weekly digest check box in
My account/preferences.

Daily/Weekly digest for each group you belong to can be selected from the group drop down in
My account/preferences

If you want to unsubscribe, uncheck daily/Weekly digest in My account/preferences.

How do I find users?
If you are looking for a particular member, use the Search Box at the top right corner . To
search for users:

1. Just enter the name in the search box

2. You can either enter:


o The member’s name &endash; this displays a list of members with similar names.
o You can also search in the group by clicking on the drop down.
3. Click on Search button to search for group profile.

Moderators
The Moderators tab provides a host of features for the moderator. This tab is enabled only if
you are a moderator. It enables you to:
• View Group Profile
• Edit Group Profile
• Make an Announcement to the Group
• Edit Group Settings
• New Membership Approval
• View Reported Items
• View Suspended Members
• Resign as Moderator
• Invite Members to become Moderators

Who is a Moderator?
If you have created a group, you automatically become the moderator of that group.
A moderator has certain privileges within the group. A moderator can edit the Group Profile
and Group Settings, make announcements to the group, customize questions for joining the
group, access reported items and take action on a reported item or member.

Can a Group have more than one Moderator?

Yes. The moderator has the option of inviting other members of the group to act as
moderators.

Can I become the Moderator of another Group?

You cannot become a moderator of another group, unless you are invited to do so by the
moderator of that group.

What does a Moderator do?


If you are the founder of a group or have been invited to be a moderator, Injoos provides you
special powers, which you can use to ensure that your group and its members stick to the
guidelines. If members of your group report an item as abuse or spam, you can take action on
the item or on the member who posted it. The moderator also has the option of inviting other
members to become moderators.
Below are some of the privileges you have as a moderator in Injoos:

Managing a Group

As a moderator in Injoos, you can manage your group in the following ways:
1. If you want to update the group profile including changing the group profile image,
Injoos makes it simple for you to view and edit the group profile. Click here for a step-
wise procedure on how to edit your group profile.
2. You can view/edit the group settings such as Auto-Approval, Welcome message and
the Joining Questions. The default setting for Auto Approval is OFF. Click here for a
step-wise procedure on how to edit group settings.
o If you want members to join your group without the moderator’s approval, select the
ON radio button.
o If you want the members to join your group only after moderator’s approval, select
the OFF radio button.
3. Injoos allows you to send Announcements to all members of your group regarding a
poll or an event or anything which you may want to share with the group . Click here for a
step-wise procedure to send announcements to your group.

Managing Members

You can invite any member to become a moderator. Your invitation is sent to the invitee both
over email as well as through Injoos inbox. The member can accept by clicking on the link in
the invitation to become a moderator. Click here for a step-wise procedure to invite a member
to become a moderator.
Note: A member cannot volunteer to become moderator without an invitation from a
moderator. All moderators have the same access level.
When an item is reported by your group members, you as a moderator can view the reported
item and can take the following actions:

• Delete Item &endash; to delete the item from the group.


• Clear Item &endash; to delete the report.
• Warn Member &endash; to send a warning message to the member.
• Suspend Member &endash; to suspend the reported member from the group.
For all the above actions, you will see a pop-up to confirm your action. Click OK or Cancel to
confirm your action.

Moderator

Managing Content

• You as a moderator can set up a customized welcome message instead of the default
welcome message which explains how to use Injoos features. There is no limit on the
length of the welcome message.
• Injoos allows the moderator to set up a Joining Questions form. The form is intended
to give the moderator some additional information on the person joining to aid in
approving/declining the membership. A member can later view these joining questions
and the answers they provided in their Member Profile in that group.

Resign as a Moderator
If there are multiple moderators in a group, a moderator may resign from his moderator
position in the group. However, if there is only one moderator in a group, then that person is
not allowed to resign. In order to resign, one must first invite another member to become a
moderator.
To resign as a moderator:
1. Open the group in which you are a moderator.
2. Select Moderators tab.
3. Click the on Membership tab and click on Resign as Moderator link
4. A popup appears to confirm your answer, click OK to resign or click Cancel.

Announcements
Use the Make an Announcement to the Group feature to convey a message to the
members of your group. All the members of the group will get the announcement. Follow the
simple steps provided below.
1. Click on Make an Announcement to the Group in the Manage the Group in the
Moderator Central page. The Compose Message page appears.

3. Click Send to make the announcement or click Cancel to cancel your announcement.

Edit Group Settings


Only the moderators can edit group settings. You can change the Auto Approval option, the
welcome message, the group joining questions and configure Showcase settings.
To edit group settings:
1. Click the Moderators tab and then click Settings and Profile tab and click on .
2. In the General tab, you can change the Auto Approval by selecting the ON or OFF
radio buttons and click Save Settings.
Note: If you select ON, any member can join the group without the moderator’s
approval. If you select OFF, the moderator’s approval for membership into a group
becomes mandatory. The request is notified to the moderator, who can take a decision
on whether to accept or deny the request.
3. You can also edit the welcome message if required and click Save Settings for the
changes to take effect.
4. In the Group member Profile Qs tab, you can add or edit the group joining
questions, which the members who want to join will have to answer. These answers will be
checked by the moderator to know about the members before accepting or denying their
membership request. Click More Questions to add questions and click Save Questions for
the changes to take effect.
Note: Moderators cannot delete or edit any question once the Form has been saved.
5. The Showcase tab helps the moderator to customise the showcase page. You need to
enable the showcase by checking the checkbox and to configure
the showcase.

Edit Group Profile

Moderator

As a moderator you have the privilege of editing the Group Profile. However, some fields
cannot be changed such as Founder, Date of Creation, Category and Group Type
(Public/Private).
1. Click Edit Group Profile on the Moderator Central page. The editable group profile
page opens. This page has four different tabs namely:
• General &endash; to edit the Group name, Description and Tags. Multiple tags, if
entered, are separated by commas. Tags can contain alphanumeric and space
characters.
• Location &endash; to edit the country and location.
• Charter &endash; to edit the Group Charter.
• Images &endash; to change the profile image.
Note: The moderator can set one image as the default. This image appears near the
Group name on the Group Profile.

2. Click Update Profile to retain the changes you made or click Cancel to discard the
changes you made to the Group profile.

View Suspended Members

Click View Suspended Members in the Moderators tab to see the suspended members.
Click on the Manage the Group tab in the moderator page. To restore a suspended member
back into the group.
1. Click the Manage the Group tab and click View Suspended Members link. The list of
suspended members appears.

2. Select the suspended member and click Activate to restore or Cancel to keep the
member suspended.

View Reported Items


Members can report an item to be an Abuse, Commercial or Other Spam, Copyright violations
or any thing which they feel is objectionable. As a moderator you get notifications when an
item is reported.
Based on the number of reports that you get, you can take action on that particular item or
even on the member who has posted the item.
Click View Reported Items in the Manage the Group tab in the Moderators page. The
Reported Items page provides details such as:
• Section and item that has been reported.
• Name of the member who has posted the item.
• Number of times the item has been reported.

• Date when the item was last reported.


You can take the following actions on a reported item:

• Delete Item &endash; to delete the item from the group.


• Clear Item &endash; to delete the report.
• Warn Member &endash; to send a warning message to the member.
• Suspend Member &endash; to suspend the reported member from the group.
For all the above actions, you will see a pop-up to confirm your action. Click OK or Cancel to
confirm your action.

View Group Profile


To View Group Profile, click on the group name or click on the More link in the Home Page.
The Group profile is displayed The About Us section provides details about the:
• Number of members in the group

• Date of creation
• Access &endash; whether public or private
• Founder name
• Location
It also displays the Group Charter, the description about the group and the Group profile
images.

Resign as a Moderator
If there are multiple moderators in a group, a moderator may resign from his moderator
position in the group. However, if there is only one moderator in a group, then that person is

not allowed to resign. In order to resign, one must first invite another member to become a
moderator.
To resign as a moderator:
1. Open the group in which you are a moderator.
2. Select Moderators tab.
3. Click the on Membership tab and click on Resign as Moderator link
4. A popup appears to confirm your answer, click OK to resign or click Cancel.

Invite Member(s) to become Moderators


To invite other members to join as moderators:
1. Click the Invite Member(s) to become Moderators link in the Moderators. The
Group Members page appears.
2. Select the members and click Invite. An invitation mail will be sent to the member,
who is required to click on the link provided to become a moderator.

Showcase
Can I showcase content from my group?

Only moderator has access to showcase the content of his groups. Showcase page will be
available to public. To showcase your group click on moderators , go to edit group settings and
go to showcase tab. Click on enable check box to activate your showcase page

How do I select content to be displayed on showcase page ?

Moderator can select the content to be displayed from showcase configuration. Moderator can
choose the news/discussions/photos/upcoming events to be showcased. Click on "Showcase
configuration" and 'configure under each section and choose content.

How do I configure News, discussions,Upcoming events?

Moderator can click on Moderators and click on showcase configuration. Click on configure
under news tab. Moderator can select to display all news items/recent/most viewed or most
rated news items in to the showcase page. You can also select the news items to be
showcased under each news item.

Similarly for discussions, moderator can click on configure under discussions, select the radio
button on all discussions or recent, most viewed, most active or showcased.

Upcoming events can be configured by clicking on the configure in upcoming events tab.
Moderator can select future events, upcoming events this week and next week by clicking on
the radio button.

How do I configure Photos for my showcase page?

Moderator can click on Moderators and showcase configuration. Click on configure under photo
gallery and select enable button to showcase the photos.

Photos can be selected from the library by clicking on showcase under the image to be
showcased.

What is showcased option in configure news/discussions?

Moderator can click on the news item from happenings page and click on showcase to
showcase items. All the news selected for showcase will be moved to showcased items which
can be viewed at moderators /showcased items. If moderator at a later point wants to de-
showcase, he can do so by clicking on the item and clicking on de- showcase button.

You can also customise your showcase by clicking on the custom page tabs and also
rearrange the widgets. Injoos also offers themes. To select a theme,just click on Theme tab in
Showcase configuration page.

You can get an account of the news posted by all the members of your group from the
Happenings tab. You can also share/post news with your group members.

Polls
A poll is a multiple-choice questionnaire by which you can get instant feedback from the group
members.

To view a poll

• Click on the news or event item you want to view.


• You can see the current poll in the Show Poll | Poll Status section.
• You can take part in the poll.
• Check out the results by clicking the Poll Status link.

To create a poll

You can add a poll while you are posting News, Events or Discussions. See all the current
polls, take part in them and view the results.
1. Select the Add Poll check box while posting News, Events or Discussions.

2. Add a poll question of your choice


3. Select a poll choice (Yes/No, Two Options, Three Options, Four Options).
4. Enter the poll choice answers.

Library
All the documents, images, audios and videos posted within a group can be accessed from the
Group Library tab. The Library has two options:

• All Resources
• Create Resource

How to Share an Item with other Group

Do you want to share audios, videos, presentations or documents with other Group? Injoos
provides you with a platform to do so very easily.
Note: You can only share items with other group from a Public group.

To share an audio/video:
1. Click on the item that you want to share with other group.

2. Click . A drop down list displays all your group.

3. Select the group and click Share.

What is an Event?

An event is a planned activity in which the members of your group can participate.

Select from the Notification Bar. The Events page appears.

• You can view the events either by Day or Month.


• The upper panel has a calendar. Select a date to view the events of that day. And also
contains the day's events.
• The lower panel lists all the events.
• The powerful sort function allows you to list events by:
o All events
o Upcoming events
o This week’s events
o Next week’s events
o Previous week’s events
• Filter - helps you to find specific events. Enter the tag defined while posting the
required event.
• Search - lets you search for a specific event. Enter the keywords defined while posting
the required event.

Mark an Event on Your Calendar

You can remember an event by adding it to your Injoos calendar.


To mark an event on your Injoos calendar:
1. Click on the event you want to remember.

2. Click link. A pop up will be displayed to confirm your answer.


3. Click OK to add the event to your calendar or click Cancel.

Create an Event

Click on link to Create an Event. The screen for adding events appears.

There are two ways to add events in a group. In both cases, first give the location, date, time
and duration in the appropriate boxes. (You can click on the calendar to add the date.)
1. If you want to provide a link to events, use Post Link.
a. Choose an appropriate title and enter it in the Title field
b. Add a short description in the Description field.
c. Enter the URL of the site/event in the URL field - this can be copied from the address
bar if the page on which the item appears doesn’t have a linking facility.
d. Help people search for this event by adding tags in the Tags field. (what are tags?)

e. Click Post to add the event to your group. Or Cancel if you don’t wish to add this
event.
2. Compose. The process is much the same, but when you compose events you can
attach an image or a document to your events item.

Sync with Desktop

You can sync the events at Injoos with your desktop calendar. Just follow the steps below :
1. Click on the event item that you want to sync your desktop calender with.

2. Click on the link on the event detail page.


3. A download box opens asking you to open or save the file.

4. Open the downloaded file .ics to your thunderbird or Outlook express


OR
Open your Outlook express. Click on your calendar and drag and drop the file to add
the event to the calendar.

Embed Code
Embed code is a code generated automatically by any website for audio, video, presentation
or document. Injoos provides this unique feature of adding audios/videos from websites like
www.youtube.com and www.metacafe.com, slides from www.slideshare.com and documents
from www.scribd.com. This provides a rich interactivity for communicating, sharing and
collaborating within Injoos groups.
You can embed codes while posting a News item or an Event. Copy the code from the embed
field of the website of your choice and paste it in the Embed Code field while you are adding
a News item or an Event.

Discussions
You can have an interactive discussion about a particular topic with the members of your
group.

To view Discussion topics

You can view the Groups discussion topics by clicking on View all link in the
happenings page or just click on the icon to get the discussion summary
page.

Create Resource
If you have a resource to upload, then do the following:

View events scheduled on Injoos calendar by your group members using Calendar tab. To
access Calendar:
1. Click the My Account tab at the top of the page.
2. Click the My Stuff tab and then click the Calendar tab to view the events scheduled
in your group or you can also click on the icon on the status bar below to view your
events.

View Events
Events added/posted by your group members can be viewed in the Events section of your
group. To view an event, Select Events from the Happenings drop-down menu or click on

the icon on the Notification Bar below. You can also :

• If you want to Tag an event, click the icon.


• Rate an event by clicking the icon.

• To add an event to your Injoos calendar, click the icon.


• If you want to post a link of any web page for your community to view, click the
icon.
• You can report an event for abuse, copyright or spam, by clicking the icon.

• Update or Cancel your events by clicking on and you can


also edit the event.

View members attending an event


To view a list of members who will be attending the event:
In the Events section, click the event name. In the screen that appears, you can view the
names of members in the box under Attendees. The box also shows the date, time and
venue of the event.

Member Directory
Find all the members in your group by using the Member Directory tab.
Click Member Directory in the Member Center tab. This displays the nicknames of all the
members along with their image and role in the group.

• Click Moderators to view the names of the moderators.


• Click Members to view the names of all the members including the moderators.
The Member Directory can be viewed in two different ways:
• Alphabetic &endash; lists the members in the alphabetical order
• All &endash; displays the members in a list format.
