Certification cycle
Your three-year certification cycle begins on Jul 01, 2013 and ends on Jun 30, 2016. You may not claim CPE credits for activities that occurred prior to your certification cycle start date. You may use the CISSP designation from this day forward, subject to the (ISC)2 Logo Guidelines (www.isc2.org/logo-usage) - as long as your certification remains in good standing. Please review the following information carefully to ensure you understand membership renewal requirements and to learn about special member benefits. By virtue of becoming certified by (ISC)2, you are a member of the (ISC)2 Electorate and have certain voting privileges that are specified in the (ISC)2 Bylaws.

(ISC)2 Member Website Access

All (ISC)2 members have secure access to the (ISC)2 Member Website. This is where you maintain your personal contact information, pay your Annual Maintenance Fee (AMF) and view and submit your

Continuing Professional Education (CPE) credits, which are detailed in the next section. To access the (ISC)2 Member Website, log on to www.isc2.org using the primary email address you provided during registration as your user name.

Maintaining Your Credential in "Good Standing"

To maintain your certification, you are required to earn 120 CPE credits and pay Annual Maintenance Fees before Jun 30, 2016. Annual and Three-Year Cycle Requirements: Annual CPE Requirement: 20 Domain-Related (Group A) CPE credits earned / submitted Three-year Certification Cycle CPE Requirement: 120 CPE credits earned / submitted Out of the required 120 CPEs, 80 CPEs must be Domain-Related Group A, which includes the annual CPE requirement. The remaining 40 CPES can be either Domain-Related Group A CPEs or General Education Group B CPEs. For more information about CPEs, please refer to the CPE Guidelines at www.isc2.org/cpe-policies. Also in order to maintain your CISSP certification, you are required to pay an Annual Maintenance Fee (AMF) of US$85 at the end of each year that you are certified. Hence, AMF payments are always due/paid for the previous year in which you held the CISSP. Each year (ISC)2 will send you an invoice, via email, approximately 30 days before your AMF due date. You may view your account summary by logging in to the (ISC)2 Member Website and clicking My Profile > My Account.

Renewing Your Certification

If at the end of your three-year certification cycle you submitted the required 120 CPE credits, paid all AMFs in full and continuously abided by the (ISC)2 Code of Ethics, your CISSP certification will be automatically renewed for another three-year cycle.
