USA Social Media: Powerful Source of Research Many social media users do not realize the importance of new technology as a tool for gathering research and studies. Some modern media platforms like Google Plus, LinkedIn, YouTube and Wikipedia are valuable learning sources as social networking has become famous to various users. Contrary to ordinary references, researchers and users are collectively sharing the current report available through advance media. Social media should be used wisely as a source of research because it is fast, informative and can be used for a business network. The methodological approach like social media networking system to elevate efficiency in research and inquiry is moving so fast and irresistible. Michelle Lane and Phillip Coleman state, The most recent technological advancement has been in the proliferation of information available in wireless technologies (2). The user can access information on the internet faster and easier compared to the traditional way of research. Social media has stimulated cyberspace where sharing ideas and opinions through the web is significant and worthwhile. This sharing process creates an environment where conducting research and analyses is more anticipated. Social media networking is one quick way of finding data and leads; because it is a web based means for members to share facts, recommendations and latest information in an online community.

Goce 2 Many people today choose social media sites as their leading source of all kinds of information. More students and professionals are using social media as a source of their studies and references. One reason social media is a magnificent source of research is because the existence of the new media on school websites has exploded into an extensive atmosphere. Grant Greenwood, an admission counselor at Hardin Simmons University (TX), recommends, Social media information and social network sites should be located on the homepage, towards the top and viewable without the use of scrollbars (25). In many ways, the schools are using social media so effectively. Some teachers are using new media for incorporating collective educational strategies into teachings. Foreign learners are using social media for cross-cultural communication and language training. Some educators argued that social media are not a fabulous research tool. These teachers believe that many social platforms like Wikipedia, YouTube and Facebook are not accurate and factual because they know that anybody can share their views anytime without any reviews. There are truths about their claim, but that is not always the case. As time goes by, scholars and concern staffs develop and guide those platforms. Tom Smith says, Research companies that evolve with the social media space and embrace it in all these ways will increasingly prosper (561). Social networking research can be achieved by intercommunication of the users. Analysts are able to establish more accurate reports by using surveys and further studies from social media data. Thus, social media, as a whole, are still a significant source of research.

In the article Can a Retail Website Be Social?, the authors note that more buyers and costumers shift to web marketing and forget the essence of shopping in a computer mediated environment (Wang et al 143). By plainly seeking the known terms and current entries from advanced media platforms such as Twitter, MySpace and Facebook, social media business users can gain perceptions into the latest trends and see what their prospects are discussing that awful moment. Applying social media for business research is clearly a matter of investing new ideas and working strategies. The use of technological advancements like social media can be helpful because the research of data needed can be accessed faster and easy. More schools and establishments are using social media as a supplementary source of information in their research and studies. Students and teachers can benefit the use of social media by having the latest materials needed in their topics. Using new media for business research and development is also a tremendous advantage of the latest technology. Educators and website sponsors should educate, train and guide every interested user by setting a regular seminar or webinar ways to gather information and data effectively using new media for successful research in the future.
