Saved and Baptismal Report

*Honduras Pastors Saved - 283 Baptized - 59 *Nicaragua Pastors Saved - 155 Baptized - 28 *Samaritan Radio Saved - 6441 (8 mo.)

On October of 1998, our 10,000 watt radio station in this city went on the air, reaching more than two million people with the Gospel. Fifteen years have now passed and only God knows the thousands of lives that have been changed since this time. Many times, it is hard to fathom that this is only one of our 9 stations located here in Honduras. With our network today much stronger and larger, we are now able to reach 10 million people here in Central America. The Great Commission is to go ye into all the world and preach the Gospel. Our work has always been based on this. On April 14, 2005, our station in the city of La Ceiba, which is on the northern coast and the tourist center of Honduras, went on the air. Immediately, phone calls were received from the many African- Honduran people telling us what a blessing this station was. Eight years have passed and thousands have been saved through this station built since that time. Today, we received a call from the Honduras government authorizing a 5000 watt permit for this station which is already reaching into the country of Belize. $25,000 is needed for a new transmitter, which will expand our coverage to tens of thousands of more people who will hear the Gospel of Christ.

New transmitter urgently needed for station in La Ceiba, Honduras

A MESSAGE FROM JOAN TYSON...

I think I forgot that it has only been 8 months since I \inished chemo. I hit the ground running when I returned to Honduras in January and never felt better. The Lord has done miracles in my body. But a few days ago, I came down with a bad case of bronchitis, along with some asthma that I had not had in years. I am currently being treated by a specialist in Tegucigalpa, who thinks I am amazing to be doing the work that I am able to do at my age. She is warning me, however, to stay away from crowds because probably my immune system is not as strong yet, BUT WHERE AM I GOING WHERE THERE IS NOT A CROWD OF PEOPLE? Enough about me, I want to put emphasis on what the Lord is doing here on the mission \ield. There is not enough space to tell of all the new mission works that are being started in new areas, the many souls that are receiving the Lord and new constructions going on in new places. I just want to stop here and say THANK YOU. How I wish the many of you who support the Good Samaritan Baptist Missions could be here in person to rejoice with us. This summer has been \illed with groups - some for construction work, and others to visit the different churches, to preach, giving out clothes and food bags, and being an encouragement to the Christians, dedicating new churches and feeding centers. The last group who left today were in a different area every day, witnessing for two weeks. They were accompanied by the national pastor in that area who will do follow up for months. They reported some 1200 professions of faith. I admired these people because some were in their 60s and 70s, but they would leave early in the morning and not get in until after dark. But every day they left with one thing in mind, and that was seeing people saved. As I said, there is too much to tell it all, but I will show as many pictures as possible. We are grateful for those who helped on the pastoriums in Somoto, Nicaragua and Madrigales, Honduras - for all the hard work in Caire and Madrigales from the groups from Loganville First Baptist. They experienced living as the typical poor Hondurans do, sleeping on the \loor, eating their meals outside with the \lies. But what a blessing they were, not only in the constructions work, but daily Bible classes for children and women in surrounding villages. We are so thankful to the Lord for touching someones heart in the government of Honduras to donate to our Elementary School 354 childrens mini laptops. These laptops are childproof and shockproof, designed especially for child education. In math, for example, the children work in the classrooms completing their math exercises on their assigned laptop, while their progress and grades are being loaded into a server straight from their laptops. Just a few weeks before, it was necessary for us to buy new computers for our high school and these new laptops just seemed like a reward from the Lord for this step of faith. We received a donation of $5,000 from a precious lady to help us on these high school computers. GOD IS SO GOOD ALL THE TIME! Lastly, and I told you there was too much news, I received a call from a TV station in the capital, asking if they could \ilm a documentary of the work of the mission. He said that there is so much bad news every day in Honduras that they wanted to show some good things that are going on. The reporter came and what a surprise to \ind out that his wife went to our high school years ago. He expected to stay a couple

of hours but they came about 9:00 am and did not \inish until the evening. He could not believe all he was seeing. When this was aired, a couple of weeks ago, they left time for people to call in and comment. The \irst call came in from the island of Roatan, the resort and touristic area of Honduras, where I have never been, and the caller asked us to please come to Roatan to help them. They were so many calls they could not attend to all of them. We have two big projects ahead - one is the transmitter for our radio station in La Ceiba. The other is a new roof for our church in San Francisco, Honduras The steeple is just about to fall and so is the ceiling where so much rain has come through. This will be an expensive project since all the wood will have to be replaced with steel - approximate cost about $20,000.00. TRUST IN THE LORD - I read this the other day several times in my Bible reading, so now whatever comes up - these words come to me, TRUST IN THE LORD. This is what I have to do every day of my life. May God bless you and repay you are the desires of my heart. You have been faithful friends, many of you for some 30 and 40 years. Please, please pray for us. Only God know how much we need prayer.
