PROILODGY

The first time I laid eyes on his face, my attraction to him began. Then I did not
realize until much later, there is an indestructible connection between the two of us, I
could not explain it to myself and that already I hated I was usually able to analyze
everything down to the smallest detail. I couldn't keep from wondering what it was about
him, was it his perfect pale skin, maybe it was the fact that he was the most beautiful
creature, I had ever laid eyes on, or maybe it was because he didn't have a heart beat
whatever it was I was addicted to him, but the fact alone made me hate and want to kill
him.
The day started out as a normal day in my college life, I was attending the
University Of Washington School Of Medicine, the school barely had over a thousand
students, which was good, and I went to school during the night. I was in my final year of
medical school for the second time around; I was just about finish holding a B minus
average, I didn't want to attract to much attention to myself a B seemed to be a good
place to stay. My days were long and my nights even longer, seeing how I didn't sleep. I
started this a little earlier than usually, I left my apartment I shared with my fiancée
Charles, early but before I could walk out the door, I stopped and stared down at his
sleeping face, I smiled down at his caramel skin at peace as he slept, that was one of the
things I missed most about human, now I was damned to live an eternity as this monster.
He snored loudly, I laughed lightly, I wanted to kiss his cheek but I knew the coldest of
my lips would wake him up as it did always. So I just stared at his face, I knew
everything about his face by heart; every feature was implanted in my head. He was all I
had in this world; I had lost my mother six years ago to a pack of werewolves.
I still remember that day like it was yesterday. We were living in a small cottage
outside a small village in New Zealand. It was just the two of us and had been for a
while. I was the happiest I ever been with just her, my mother. So beautiful, we pretended
to be sisters because no one would believe she was my mother, both of us looked exactly
the same except I was a few shades darker than her. We were out hunting one day, when
she got this worried expression across her face.
"What is it ma?" looking into her eyes, the eyes we shared, were once hazel
brown but were now black,

"Hide," she yelled to me.

"But ma," I didn't move.

"Dana now!" I was twenty one, and had been this way for seventeen years now
but I had no choice but to listen to her as I quickly ran under a fallen tree. "Don't you
move," she through more trees on top of me.

"Ok," I whispered very low, I knew she heard me as she through more trees on
me.

"No matter what, promise me Dana," I knew there was a problem; I knew there
was trouble coming, how could I keep that promise. "Dana please," she backed away and
made eye contact with me.
"I promise," this was the first time I saw the four shadows

"No matter what, I love you Dana," they all attacked her at once, she fought and
fought her but soon their power overtook her. When they had her pinned to the ground,
we made eye contact, she shook her head at me but I couldn't stay, I watched as they all
took a limb of her body and the alpha her head. I shook my head to forget the rest of what
happen; I quickly jotted a small note for Charles as I ran off into the nearest forest.

I had lost a track of time, and before I knew it I had to run home and change, and
then drive my car to school. I was trying to live the most normal life possible even though
I knew I could do all this in the matter of minutes, driving is what would get me because I
always got pulled over for speeding, and I loved to go fast. When I made it home, I
quickly changed into my fitted black jeans and a pink shirt.

I walked into the classroom, and his scent was the first thing I noticed, I let my
nose follow the scent and it led me to him, he sat there at the top of the lecture hall in my
exact seat. He sat there his bronze hair, his pale skin, and his amber colored eyes. I knew
what he was before I stopped to listen to his heartbeat but I still had to try, he had to have
a heart beat then I realize he didn’t have one. I did not realize I had stopped moving and
was now standing in the front of the classroom until the professor called my name
snapping me out of my trance. "Sorry" I whispered as I walked to him, I told myself I
was not going to sit anywhere near him but it was like I couldn’t control it. I rolled my
eyes at him as I sat in the seat next to him. I told myself I was not going to stare at him
but I could not control it. We looked into each other eyes neither one of us said a word;
we let our eyes do the talking.

Over the next few months, I just could not get back into my daily routine, ever
time I got around him I just lost myself in him. When I got around him, the monster in
me awaken. The part of me I had been trying to hide for over seven years now, I hated
him. It seemed as if where ever I went he was there, smiling and watching me like he
knew I was suffering, like he knew how much I wanted to destroy him and yet I was still
drawn to him, drawn to him like a moth to an open flame. I didn't learn his name until
months later; I looked over and saw it written on a test we were taking in class, Edward
Cullen. That name made him real to me, now he was more than an annoying idea, more
than a thought. He was Edward Cullen, the vampire who was waking up everything bad
in me.

I was sitting in the library and he was there too. I was studying for an exam, I had
knew this stuff yes but I still wanted to look over my books.

"Are you following me Dana," his voice was captivating, the way he said my
name, it made my skin shiver.

"How do you know my name," I did not look up from my book.

"Are you following me?"

"I don't know you to be following you," still I looked at my book, I turned the
page. "It's hard for me to concentrate with you blocking my light," he closed my book,
that made me look up; I felt the monster in me awaken.

"Get up!" he yanked me up and dragged me into the parking lot to my red Tahoe.

"I should be asking you if you're stalking me. How did you know this was my
car?"

"It is, isn't it?"

"You know, you're really starting to get under my skin," I opened the door to my
car.

"As if he isn't already under it" I thought as he smiled.

"My name is Edward Cullen," he extended his hand, I just stared at it. "Don't be
rude Dana."

"I'm Dana Williams, nice to meet you Edward," his name slid off my tongue too
easy. I looked up at him, I don't know how long we were staring into each other eyes but
I was lost in his eyes. The only thing that tore my eyes from his was the sound of a
couple of girls laughing as they walked to their car. I took a step back. I listened quietly,
still no heartbeat.

"Did you want anything in particular from me?" he smiled as he placed his hand
on my chest.

"Where's your heart beat?" I did the same.

"Where's yours?" he laughed, something about the way he laughed made he seem
as if he was mocking me.

"I'm not," he answered.

"Did I say that out loud?"

"No, you didn't," he answered and smiled.

"How are you doing that?" I demanded.

"I can read minds."

"Is that so?"

"So I'm not the only one with a special talent?" I watched his perfectly shaped eye
brows move upward, I pushed him and ran away, trying my best to stay away from him, I
stopped in the middle of this field and he followed suit.

"What are you?" I knew what he was in my head but my heart just didn't want to
believe it, another vampire.

"I am the part of you that you are trying to hide," I turned to him. "I am the part of
you that you hate."

"Say it," I thought. "Why won't you say the word?"

"I'm a vampire Dana," he took my shoulders with more force than needed. "You
are a vampire!"

"I don't like for people to touch me," I snarled.

"Why is that? Is it because of your cold stone skin," I kicked him before I knew
what I was doing; he flew at least a hundred yards.

"You better watch it Edward" he was back in front of my face, without even a full
second passing, I was hunched over, allowing my eyes to go black, letting the monster in
me take its course.

"Yeah, that's exactly what I wanted," he laughed an evil laughed; I charged at

him, he moved out of my way.

"Remember I'm in your head," he was taunting me. "You're going to have to find
another way to attack me."

"Think left go right," I thought, he smiled, I charged him again thinking that but
going right and I hit him, I smiled at my victory.

"Now let's play," I growled.

The fight between us lasted until the sun started to rise, when I finally told
her we should call it a draw. I knew Bella was probably worried sick as to why I hadn't
returned home.

"That was fun, I think you're the best fight I've ever had," I laughed, she just
smiled.

"Well thanks for ruining my outfit, bye," she was mad at herself because she
enjoyed it.
"You know, I never asked you. What do you eat?"

"Not humans! If that's what you're thinking!"

"I wasn't saying that Dana."

"Then what were you saying Edward."

"What's your favorite?"

"Oh!" she smiled. "Cheetahs," I nodded. "So you read people minds"

"Yeah" she smiled.

"You have a talent" she had completely sidetracked me, she thought of her talent.

"Without them even knowing what happen," she smiled; it was the first time I had
ever seen her really smile. It was breathtaking

"Can you come home with me, I know my father would love to meet you
especially with a special talent like that one," one of her eye brows rose.

"Father? There are more of you?" I laughed.

"Of us, and yes Dana. I have a father and mother, two sisters, two brothers and a
wife," I left Nessie out on purpose, but only to protect her,

"He's married," there was a hint of sadness in her thoughts.

"I don't know Edward."

"Come on Dana, is this not what you want?" she looked at me confusingly. "A
family," she was hesitant.

"Okay, give me an hour."

"You better come," she smiled wickedly.

"Or what?" she challenged me.

"We may have called it a draw but that's because I was holding back" she
growled.

"As was I," she turned and zoomed away.

"Ms. Williams, oh Ms. Williams" I laughed lightly as I took off home; I knew
there would be a fight ahead of myself because my family wouldn't like the idea that I
was brewing.

I walked into the house, just as beautiful as the house before it. when you first
enter the entire first floor was covered in white marble, it reflected off the mirrors placed
all through the house, it was really astonishing, my favorite part of this house though was
the huge spiral staircase, up the stairs is where six bedrooms occupied the space, each
couple had their own room on this floor, except Nessie and Jacob, the stayed in the
basement, they last two bedroom we converted into guestrooms, even though we were
only a couple of miles away from Forks, Charlie and Jacob's pack visited on the regular.

"Hey you," Bella came up behind me and placed her arms around my waist, she
kissed my neck softly, I looked back at her with a backward glance. "What's wrong,"
Alice had already gathered the family for me into the dining room, where a huge red
wood table sat. Everyone took a seat around it, except Jasper, he stood in the corner
behind Alice.

"What is it son?" my father Carlisle asked, the rest of them looked at me.

"She really is beautiful," Alice thought and smiled at me.

"I invited a guest," no one said anything. "A vampire."

"She's very powerful" Alice chimed in.

"How powerful," Emmet wondered.

"I want her to come live with us, join our family."

"No!" Jasper rose up. "We are already to strong for the Volturi liking; we had
another vampire, a powerful one at that, they'll be at our door for sure."

"And with her powers, we will be able to defeat them without problems," Alice
was fighting this fight for me. She showed me Jane killing Aro then exploding her self, I
looked at her puzzled.

"She did that?" I asked.

"Did what?" Esme asked.

"Killed Jane and Aro," their mouths dropped.

"By herself?" Rosalie asked aloud.

"Yes," Alice said.

"How?" Carlisle asked.

"It's her talent," I said. "You'll have to see it for yourself, it's truly amazing."

"Do they know about her?" Carlise asked, we all looked at Alice as her face went
blank, then she smiled.

"No, not that I can see."

"Edward, I still don't think is the wisest idea," Jasper said he was still very
uncertain.

"She'll be here and five. Jazz don't worry. She's going to change your opinion of
her herself. You're going to love her." you could see him stiffen; he had never let anyone
get close except Alice.

"What is her power?" Nessie asked.

"No time to talk about it. I want you and Jacob to go in the basement and don't
leave until I say so" I knew she was about to object but I had to stop her, she was just like
her mother had to fight me on everything. "Go Nessie" she pouted as Jacob dragged her
away.

"Smells like she brought her snack," Rosalie smiled.

"Hey! That use to be me!" Bella launched a pillow at her, they both smiled. The
relationship between the two of them had drastically changed; you could actually call
them friends now.

"Be nice," I said as I ran away. When I did make it to the door, I slowed my pace
and walked outside. Charles was still in the car.

"Maybe I shouldn't let her stay without me, he's a bit much on the eyes," I smiled.
I was use to humans being jealous of me.

"What are you smiling at?" she turned and waved bye to Charles and he
unwillingly pulled out of our driveway.

"Your boyfriend is jealous," she didn't smile or laugh, she just turned and looked
at him.

"I'm not surprised," we walked into the house.

The house was already breathtaking on the outside, once you made it inside, I
couldn't control myself. Mirrors reflecting the white marble floor, added something I had
never seen before, it was truly stunning. The stairs is what took me for a loop though, I
went up a few completely forgetting Edward was there watching me. I let my hand run
across the woody railing.

"Still there?" I looked at him and nodded.

"Yeah, let's go meet your family," she looked at me. "Are you the only one who
can read minds?"

"Yes I am the only one who read minds to answer your question."

"Ok good," we walked into the room. When I first walked into I was almost
jawed, they all stood at me, dressed in white looking all of too perfect.

"Hi Dana," the oldest male, introduced himself as Carlisle. He was sexy, as a
matter of fact they all were, but none of them had anything on Edward. He laughed.

"I forgot you were in my head" I growled, this was going to annoy me.

"You're just as beautiful as I saw," the small pixie one came up to me smiling and
introduced herself as Alice.

"And you are black," the blonde one smiled, I later found out she was Rosalie

"Oh my Gosh," a brunette exclaimed, the way Edward stood next to her, it wasn't
hard to guess she was Bella, he nodded at me,

"What gave it away? Here I was trying to hide it," they all laughed lightly.

"I'm Esme, the mother," she extended her hand and I shook it lightly. There was
something about her, she reminded me of the things I missed most in my mom. I liked
her from that moment. Everyone else introduce themselves to me.

"We hear you have an interesting talent," Carlise looked at me.

"Is there anything you didn't tell them," I cut my eyes at Edward.

"Sorry," he murmured. .

"No, I'm sorry," Carlise shook his head. "If you don't want to talk about it, I will
not twist your arm," I looked at him, he looked sincere.

"No, it's not that. It has just been a while since I've been able to be so open...." I
stopped talking. "With the monster inside of me."

"What exactly is it that you can do" the big bear one name Emmet asked. I
wonder what it would be like to fight him, Edward laughed.
"What's so funny," Emmet asked.

"She wants to fight you," they all laughed.

"Well, I can kind of control people"

"Oh it's more to it!" Alice said excitedly like she knew something, I didn't.

"Yeah, stop being modest," Edward said. "She can take over a host and a host
being us."

"You are getting on my nerves," he laughed lightly.

"Will you give us a demonstration?" Carlise asked.

"I don't know about that, usually when I do so, I get all their memories and
thoughts they were thinking at that particular time. I don't know a lot of people who like
to share their life with a complete stranger."

"Will you at least answer some questions," he still smiled, there was no raining on
his parade.

"I don't see a problem in that shoot," I sat down at the table.

"When was the last time you used your talent?"

"Seven years ago, I haven't needed to use it since...." I trailed off, I looked at
Edward and his face showed pity.

"Since what?" Rosalie asked

"Don't answer that," Edward shook his head at her

"Are your powers limited to vampires or can you do humans also?" Carlise went
back to his questions.

"No, I can do humans, vampires, animals, werewolves, the whole nine."

"That's astounding!" I smiled at him. "What happens to the host when you take
them over?"

"Well I can hear their thoughts and if they are very strong, I'll even act on their
last act but once I leave they go back to doing what it was they were last doing. Not
knowing anything of what happen."
"How long can you stay inside?"

"I don't know the answer to that; I've never stayed into a host longer than I need
too defend myself."

"What happens to your body when you're inside of someone else?"

"It falls over."

"Okay! I have to see this," Emmett's voice boomed with excitement, I laughed at
him.

"Wait, son I do have one more questions," the room was quite. "You know how
Edward can read minds and Alice can see the future. If you take over can you use their
powers?" I nodded at him.

"Yeah, I believe so."

"Okay now can we see?" Emmet was getting impatient.

"Edward," his father called.

"Carlisle....I'm not sure about this."

"It's really okay Dana, I want to do this." his smiled reassured me, even though I
didn't want to do this, the way he smiled I couldn't help but give in.

"Ok but be sure to clear your head, I don't want to take over your body and I just
go over and kiss Bella or something worst," everyone laughed.

"Well let me get that out of the way," he walked over to her.

"I can't watch this, Dana why are you tripping they're married!" Edward turned
and stared at me. "Sorry," he smiled and I didn't feel as bad.

"Are you ready?" he just nodded. "Attack me."

"What?” he looked puzzle as did everyone else.

"Attack me, and give me your all."

"Why?"

"My powers work best when I'm upset but I need you to really hit me Edward,
none of that little playing holding back, it is necessary that I am upset."
"I can't attack you."

"Why not? We were just fighting a few hours ago," his eyes soften to me.

"He can't think of ways to kill people he cares about; believe me I know all about
this," Bella spoke.

"Well what about you?" I looked at Emmet, his smiled as he got in his defense
stance, I smiled at him.

"This should be fun," he glared at me.

"You have no idea," then all of a sudden Edward came and stood in front of me.

"No!" he yelled.

"What's your problem?!" Emmet snapped upwards. "I wasn't going to kill her," I
rolled my eyes.

"There has to be another way," Esme soft voice spoke.

"Why don't I just talk about how you were stalking me, acting so pathetic, like a
lost puppy, you want to talk about that Dana?" my eyes narrowed at him.

"Come again?!" I yelled as Rosalie snicker.

"She wasn't Edward," Emmet joked.

"You should have seen her, it was just pitiful. Hey Dana, why don't you tell
everybody what really happen to your mother,” how could he say that to me. "Go on
Dana, tell them how you killed your mother, I hope you have improved your control of
your powers this time," he was going to pay, if he didn't shut his mouth

"Edward, maybe you should back off," Jasper warned

"For what, she's a nobody who has nobody."

"I don't want to kill you," but still I couldn't control my anger.

I opened my eyes, and almost instantly I felt myself pull toward Bella, looking at
her through his eyes, made me long to be loved like this. The desire he had for her was
something that couldn't be denied. She looked back at me with a puzzle look on her face,
I turned to my body and it was already against the floor.

"Edward," I heard someone call.

"Guess again," I smiled.

"Dana, I didn't want to hurt you, please understand," I heard Edward. I had to
take a few steps away from Bella, and then all of a sudden I was hit with his memories.

"Dana?" Carlisle called and I opened my eyes.

"Yes," I was panting aloud, the sexual desire was driving me insane.

"How do you feel?"

"I'm trying to calm down,” I listen to myself breathe and then out of nowhere,
everyone thoughts came flooding into my mind, it was hard to tell them apart.

"Wow."

"This is truly amazing."

"How are we suppose to control this?"

"What a magnificent addition she would make to the family."

"Is Edward ok?" that voice I knew. I also saw that Edward was attracted to me in
a dangerous way, a way that would get him a lot of trouble; I would have to stay clear of
him.

"Could everyone please stop thinking so much, jeez? His memories are hitting
me like a bat out of hell," I got more than a thousand sorry, it felt like. There was a
silence throughout the house.

"Is Edward ok?"

"He's fine Bella, don't worry I won’' let any damage come t o him," I opened my
eyes. "Wow, he's tall," they all laughed.

"This is incredible Dana."

"It's something."

"You mind running for me?" I looked at him confused.

"Sure," I took off; he was in actuality very fast. I thought I was fast. I came back.

"How do you feel?"

"I'm all right," I walked over to my body, and lifted my body onto the couch.
"I'm beautiful," Rosalie laughed.

"Talk about shallow."

"Sorry."

"You are never lying" Emmet thought. I turned and smiled at him.

"Thank you," he smiled.

"I forgot you could read minds that will take some getting use to," I just smiled at
him.

"Can I go back into my body?"

"Are you feeling any different?" Jasper asked.

"No, well kind of. It's taking every fiber in my being not to walk over and kiss
Bella," they all laughed at me as I looked at her. "He really loves you" she just smiled.

"Its fine," Carlisle said, the transition took place easy.

.
"Is everything okay?" everyone eyes were on me when I open my eyes, I didn't
remember closing. "Did it happen?"

"Yes it did," Carlisle said. "How are you?”

"Do you feel any different?"

"Not at all," I smiled as I looked at Dana.

"I wondered if she'll stay?" she looked at me confused.

"I can hear you!"

"But I'm thinking this!"

"No kidding Sherlock!"

"How is this possible?"

"What's going on?" Carlise asked.

"I can hear his thoughts, don't worry it will fade,"

"How do you feel Dana," everyone looked at her except me because she was
feeling what I felt everyday.

"I'm okay, but the desire still has me on edge" she back away from Bella.

"So the strongest emotion stays with you even after you projected back into your
body"

"Projected?" she nodded. "I guess that's something that seems to fit but yes,
sometimes."

"Fascinating."

"You guys have a daughter?" she looked at Bella and me.

"Yes," Bella answered. "We wanted to keep her...."

"Safe, I know. You don't have to explain. I would have done the same thing. I
know I'm dangerous" she smiled weakly. A memory of Nessie popped into Dana's head
from when she was first born.

"Dana," Jasper who was standing completely still observing her, now took a step
towards her.

"Don't worry Jazz, she will join us soon," Alice came up behind him.

"Does she know something, I don't?"

"She can see the future," she shrugged her shoulders. "Will you stay the night?"

"No, I need to be going anyway"

"I should be heading out"

"We can't let her leave!" Jasper thought

"Won't you hang around for a while?" Bella asked.

"Yeah!" Alice agreed.

"I have to get back to Charles; he's most likely worried sick."

"He's sleeping, come on Dana."

"Maybe a few more hours," Alice and Bella squealed.

"Where do you shop?" Alice asked

"Paris," they all laughed as the three of them walked up the stairs.

As soon as the coast was clear, the remainder of us got to talking, we

walked into the kitchen.

"She's more powerful than she understands," Carlise said.

"She has to join our team before the Volturi find her," Jasper said.

"I agree," but not for that reason only.

"What about her mate, I doubt she will leave him and he makes us vulnerable, we
don't want to be in the same place we were 4 years ago," Rosalie said.

"She can change him."

"No, she can't for two reasons, one he doesn't want to end his life as a human and
two she doesn't think she could control herself if he did want it."

"How long has she been alone?" Esme asked.

"Seven years, ever since her mother...." I stopped it wasn't my place to tell her
story.

"What happen to her mother?" Rosalie asked. I was hesitant

"It's okay Edward, tell them" her voice was barely a whisper.

"They lived in a small cottage, her and her mother Lisa right outside of a village
in New Zealand. They lived off the blood of animals and were out hunting one day when
they ran into a pack of werewolves, her mother made her hide. She watched as her
mother fought them off t the best of her abilities but she was out numbered four to one.
when they finally had her pinned down, Dana made eye contact with her mother her eyes
never left her as they brutally tore off her limbs she shook her head at her but Dana
couldn't take anymore so she projected into the alpha but somehow his hatred for
vampires over took her and she kill her mother. By the time she realized what she had
done she killed the pack off then blowing the alpha up from the inside out."

"WHAT!" Jasper was really getting excited about her.

"There is one negative aspect about her," they all looked at me. "She hates
werewolves and has vowed to kill any on sight."

"That can only be expected," Jasper shrugged his shoulders. Just then the doorbell
rang; Dana came flying down the stairs.

"I know that has to be Charles, I'll get it," she yelled. "Eww, it stinks smells like a
wet dog," before she even finished her statement we all took off; I was the first to make it
to her, I held onto her tightly.

"Dana, wait!" her eyes were already black.

"What's the matter," Bella and Alice asked.

"Long story short, Dana's going kill Jacob."

"I'm going to blow this dog to pieces," she was fighting against me with all her
strength.

"I'd like to see you try bloodsucker," Jacob responded as Bella stood in between
them, she protected Jacob.

"Bella please move," her eyes never left him; Emmet came and helped me hold
her."

"Dana please calm down," Carlisle pleaded, she wasn't trying to hear him at that
moment, she knew about the treaty but right now her loyalty to her mother outweighed
everything..

"Jacob, please try to work with me here, a werewolf killed her mother," I pleaded
with him.

"Paul's coming up...." he spoke as Paul, came up the stairs; Bella put him inside of
the shield.

"Who’s this ….." he went off into a dazed.

"Uh oh," Jacob said as Emmet took Dana into the back.

"What?" everyone asked but me because I had already read his thoughts.

"This cannot be good!" I said aloud.

"What is it son," Carlise asked.

"He imprinted on her," the house fell silent.

"Dana would you cool down," he was too strong from me to fight but that didn't
stop me from trying.
"Emmet. I highly recommend that you let me go before I take control over your
body and do some real damage," he laughed at me.

"Dana, around here werewolves are a big part of our lives. You can't kill one
without putting our entire family in danger," I calmed down; they hadn't been anything
but nice to me it wouldn't be fair if I put them in danger.

"Just let me go. I need to clear my head."

"I don't know if I believe you," he laughed.

"What does imprint mean," I heard Edward think "He imprinted on her," I needed
to know exactly what that meant.

"It's what happens when a werewolf finds its mate"

"WHAT!!!!"

"What?" he looked at me strangely, loosen his grip but didn't let me go.

"I read Edwards thoughts, can I please just leave," he released me and with that I
took off. I couldn't believe a freaking werewolf imprinted on me and the Cullen's are
walking around with these werewolves like everything is cool. I had to leave.

"Dana don't go" it was Edward.

"Edward what were you thinking about man, she took off," there wasn't one move
in the house, until Emmet came back into the front.

"Paul imprinted on her," Jacob answered. "Thank God," Jacob was happy because
that would put his sister Rachael in the clearing of being with him, he was too much of a
hot head and Jacob often feared for her safety.

"How is that even possible? She's a vampire, I thought we were your mortal
enemies," he laughed.

"I imprinted on Nessie," Jacob said defensively.

"What's her name," Paul asked.

"Dana, I advise you stay away from her Paul at least for a while, this girl is
dangerous and she doesn't even know how risky she is," Carlisle warning fell on deaf
ears, he had stopped listening after he said her name.

"Easier said than done" Jacob said with a small grin on his face, he was happy
Paul had imprinted, he figured this was just what he need to cool off.

"She's about to leave," Alice said, her face still held that blank expression.

"Where's she going?" Esme asked.

"I don't know and neither does she. But you'd better stay away from her. She's still
close because I can hear her thoughts but she's going fast" I answered.

"Edward cant you talk to her," Esme said.

"Dana don't go."

"Are you serious that dog imprinted on me?"

"Dana come back."

"That is okay but you tell that mutt if he comes anywhere near me. I'm going to
make him rip his own head off."

"They can't control it Dana."

"Well he better learn."

"Edward you have to find her, she's going to run into a lot of trouble, if we don't
help her,” Alice said, it had been three days since Dana had ran away.

"I don't know how," I couldn't lie about not seeing her or even hearing her, she
didn't show up for school, and the last time I heard what her thoughts were when she left.

"She's in Paris but she's coming back. Part of her wants to be apart of this family
but the other part wants to kill werewolves," She looked at Paul, he looked sick.

"I'm all right," he said, but I was in his thoughts and I knew how much he missed
her, how much he needed her and how worried he really was.

"You can't go looking for her, not right now," I tried to reason with him.

"I know how hard it is believed me but she'll kill you and then you'll never know
what could have been," Carlisle tried to be rationale with him.

"But a bloodsucker, I imprinted on a bloodsucker," he put on his hard act for

Jacob but I knew better. "What's my pack going to say, when I transition they're all going
to know," Jacob laughed at him.
"That's the least of your worries, just wait a couple more days; you're going to be
sick without her," Jacob laughed but he knew in a few days he'd be feeling sorry for his
friend.

"Do we need to warn Sam about her," Jacob asked.

"No she's not going to attack any of you; at least that's what she was thinking
when she left. She doesn't want to put the family's safety in jeopardy."

"I still think its best if we do, just in case she just so happens to change her mind,"
there was a knock at the door.

"Hmmm, I smell human," Rosalie said and smiled.

"It's Charles, he's looking for Dana. He seems quite upset," I walked over and
answered the door.

"Hi, can I help you," his face wore the worry.

"My name is Charles, I drop Dana off here three days ago, she hasn't returned
home. Is she here?" he tried to look behind me.

"No, she left. Please come in," he made his way into the house; he looked around
still in hope that he might see her coming down the stairs. He made his way into the
family room and as fate would have it, he sat next to Paul; the two of their thoughts were
nothing but of Dana.

"Where is my Dana," his voice broken, Paul snarled at him. Charles didn't even
notice or if he did, he just didn't seem to care.

"I don't know," it seemed as if everyone didn't know what to say to him.

"Stop lying, this is the last place I saw her. What did you guys do to her," he
looked at all our faces his eyes stopping on Paul.

"Things got a little out of control the last time she was here," that got his
attention.

"Did she lose her temper," he almost laughed. "So who was her lucky victim?"

"No, nothing like that," Paul growled again.

"I told her this was a bad idea," he shook his head. Although he had never seen
Dana actually project into someone but he believed she could. He did his research on her
condition, his words. Going through his thoughts, a lot of it was nonsense I knew but
some of it he learned from Dana, she didn't tell him everything about her talent and I
wonder why, Bella entered the room.

"Whose he," Bella asked as she inhaled deeply. "Human?" she thought.

"Yeah he's Dana's fiancé," I saw Paul get angry, Jacob got up and moved closer, it
was no secret that he was a hot head.

"I'm going to kill him," were the first words to come across his mind.

"I love her, we're suppose to get married," he put his head in his hands.

"We'll make sure she calls you if we hear anything," Bella voice was soft; she
held out her hand for his, he took it.

"You're so cold, like Dana," he looked at her and just smiled. She led him to the
door.

"She's with him," Paul looked at me. "Does she love him," how was I supposed to
answer that question, I knew she wasn't in love with him but it wasn't my place to tell him
that. I didn't want to give him false hope because whether she loved him or not, she hated
werewolves. Just then Alice came running down the stairs.

"She's on her way with someone close on her heels she doesn't know if she should
come back here, she's afraid. Too many humans around to kill her followers," she was
worried.

"What do you mean followers," Paul said. "How many are there?"

"I don't know, you know I can't see your kind," she sneered at him.

"I'm going to get the pack; you guys might want to get ready," Jacob said.

"I'm just not going to transition," Paul said as he stayed behind as Jacob left.

"Alice, go get everyone, we need to talk."

"Be back in a sec," she took off.

"Why are they following me?" I didn't know what to do or who to turn to but I did
know I couldn't kill them all by myself, maybe I could but with all them humans around
that didn't seem to be the best idea. I didn't have a choice but to go to the only people I
knew who could help me, maybe they could tell the who and what exactly it is they want
from me.

"Edward, I hope you can hear me. I don't want to bring trouble to your home.
Can you meet me at the field where we were fighting? Make sure you haul ass too, I'm
going to be there within minutes and I can't stop for too long. Thanks a million Edward,"
I stopped at my car and waited for him to show. I watched as Edward showed, I started to
walk over towards him when I saw that damn mutt. I had to swallow my feelings because
I knew they would be here soon. I walked over to him.

"Did you have to bring the mutt," I looked at him and he smiled, I rolled my eyes.

"Be nice, they're only here to help," Edward laughed.

"They're? You brought your pack?" I balled my fist, Edward grabbed my hand.

"Only to help you," the mutt spoke.

"Be calm Dana," Edward looked at the dog. "I didn't mean any harm," I cut my
eyes at him.

"Any harm in what?"

"And my family is on the way," he changed the subject. "Dana you may not know
this but the day you walked into that house, you became apart of my family. Esme has
really taken to you," I couldn't help but smile thinking of her.

"I didn't want to get you all involve in this."

"Don't worry about it but you owe me," I couldn't help but smile at him.

"Thank you," I finally broke and said.

"You owe Paul a thank you too," he pissed me off; even though I knew he was
right.

"I don't owe him anything; it's werewolves that are after me."

"Why would they be after you?"

"I did kill a pack three years ago, surprise you aren't trying to kill me."

"It's not me Dana, I won't let any harm come to you," I looked into his face, he
was cute there was no denying that with his long hair now cut, black eyes but he was a
werewolf.

"Thank you," he smiled. I turned as the rest of Edward's family arrived.

"Are you okay?" Esme asked.

"Yes mother!" they all laughed at me.

"So you're going to join us now?" Jasper asked he was really pushing this.

"I'm seriously thinking about it," I admitted truthfully. "But it's not likely; I bring
a lot of drama."

"We don't care, there's always drama with us," Edward said.

"Please, get out of my head," I half joked as a werewolf came in front of us.

"I'm okay," Jacob came over to us in his werewolf form, I grabbed Dana's arm,
she back away not because she was afraid but as a precaution.

"They changed courses when they realized how big our packs are; tell her we still
need for her to remain close just in case although. We don’t know if they'll be back."

"What's he saying Edward," Esme asked.

"Dana, they've changed courses but you have to stay for a while."

"Have to…" she didn't like the idea I knew but she was trying to understand.

"Just for a little a while Dana," Esme said she put her head down.

"Ok I'll be back," she took off.

"Don't worry Esme, she'll be back," Bella looked at me confused, I just shrugged
my shoulders. Paul transformed and took off.

"Should I follow and try to stop him?" Jacob asked.

"She won't hurt him Jacob."

"She's going to end up on their lands," Alice said.

"They won't hurt her," Bella said as Jasper went into defense mode. "You
remember they won't hurt someone who their brother imprinted on."

I had to stay, it's not like I didn't want to leave but I didn't want to have to
stay, I was so confused, I didn't want to put myself in their mix and end up losing them. I
ran into a forest, as I ran I started to smell the ocean, there must be a beach was, the
beach is where I wanted to go, the ocean is what I wanted to listen to. This forest smelled
like wet dog, so I knew there were werewolves hidden somewhere in there but what
could I do, I just ran, I ran until my feet were in the water. I let the wind blow my long
black ebony hair; I spread my arms outwards and let the wind takes me to a place I so
long to go away from anybody away from any emotions away from everything.

"Don't come any closer," I had heard him panting like some animal in heat,
already it was hard for me not to attack him.

"You don't understand Dana," I didn't turn to him, I couldn't.

"What is there to understand? What makes you think I even want to understand?"

"I just want you to be secure and happy and I know you won't find it without me."

"Is that so?" I turned to him, and I saw him standing there with no shirt on, his
bare chest was smooth like caramel.

"Just let me protect you," I ran into him, the both of us hit the ground; I laid on
top of him.

"What makes you think I'm the one who needs protecting," I laughed, he didn't
even protect himself. I got off of him, the smell was killing me.

"You do," I ran into him again this time harder, I heard a bone crack.

"You know this is no fun if you don't fight me back or even protect yourself," he
just smiled in the mist of all his pain. "You're so trusting, what makes you think I won't
kill you right now," I was still on top of him, he didn't say anything.

"I don't know but you know what Dana, I don't care life without you will not be
worth living anyway," I let him go and stood up.

"You don't even know me," he got up; you could see it was his arm that was hurt.

"I don't need to know you to know that you're my soul mate. It's the whole
imprinting thing."

"I've heard of it," I took a step closer. "You know had this been any other day, I
would kill you, really enjoy it and not even think twice about it. You owe the Cullen’s
your life."

"And had you been any other bloodsucker, I'd rip you to pieces and burn the
remains” I smiled. "I owe them more than that," He took a step towards me, I backed
away from him. "If it wasn't for them, I would never have found you," I turned to the
water. There was a silence between us.

"You should go get your arm checked out."

"I'm a fast healer," I shook my head.

"Have you ever just listened to the ocean?"

"Never," I turned back to him.

"Maybe you should."

"That's not my thing," I couldn't help but laugh. "Why are you laughing?"

"I don't know, I thought you'd be more of a kiss ass to me seeing how you're
trying to get me to spend the rest of my immortal life with you."

"Oh," I laughed again, he was cute.

"Is there anyway I can get rid of you?"

"Not likely," I just shook my head.

"Do me a favor, no transiting for now. It'll take me some time before I can get use
to that and if you do don't do it around me."

"No problem," I took another step closer to him. He reached out his hand for me. I
looked down at it. I took off running.

There was a banging at the door, no one was sleep of course but the house
was silent. I walked over to there door, and opened it. Paul was standing there, apparently
in pain.

"I almost had her," I watched the memory as it played through his head over and
over again, he was trying to see where he went wrong.

"You made a lot of progress for one night," he didn't listen to me. "I'll go get
Carlisle for you," he nodded. We came back together, Carlisle had his doctor bag. He
shook his head at Paul.

"At least she didn't kill you," he shook his head again and smiled.

"You must be tired," I said.

"I am but how can I sleep not knowing if she's safe or not. I wanted to follow her
but something in me told me that was a bad idea."

"Probably would have been," I walked over to him, Esme walked down the stairs.
"I thought that would have been Dana," she tried to hide the disappointment in her
face.

"Seeing how easy you guys heal just put your arm in this sling, you should be
okay by morning. It isn't shattered, just broken."

"I was just about to call for you," I said to Esme.

"I'm going to go lay down for a while as soon as she comes promise me you'll
wake me," I nodded.

"I know about you and Glesela," Esme face didn't budge; they rest of the family
came into the living room along with Jacob.

"I figured it would be a matter of time before you knew," she smiled. "Glesela
was my best friend from when we were kids but she was one of the few black people in
our town who had money, Dana looks exactly like her. I knew she had a daughter. I can't
help but feel like a mother to her."

"How did she become a vampire?" Carlisle asked.

"I don't know I didn't even know if she's really Glesela's daughter but I do want to
help her and I will."

"You really knew my mother?" Dana stood there. I knew she was there of course
as did Alice but she needed to hear what Esme was saying. She stood up and walked over
to Dana.

"Yeah I did, she was lovely and the best friend any girl could ask for. She use to
beat up all the bullies for me," she put her arms around Dana. The two of them talked
from the late night till the morning, I couldn't get one second with her.

"Eddie" she called, its was about time.

"What did you call me?" I couldn't fight the smile.

"It's my nickname for you."

"My mother use to call me that, it's the one thing I remember about her," she
smiled sweetly.

"I know."

"Are you going to stay?"

"For a while," I tried to stop smiling but I couldn't control it.

"Charles came by here looking for you"

"Is he okay?" her smile faded.

"….yeah, Paul almost ripped his head off."

"Paul?"

"The mutt?"

"Yeah," I laughed. "Did you have to break his arm?" that brought her smile back.

"He's lucky that's all I did."

"Why did you run from him," again her smile was gone.

"I feel like I'm betraying my mother by even considering a relationship with him."

"But you can't fight your feelings forever Dana."

"Don't start."

"Okay, okay," I put my hands up. "Well Bella and I are going home; you'll take
over my bedroom."

"Okay, which one is that?"

"Upstairs the last room on the left,” I knew it wasn't my place to interfere but she
was being stubborn. "Bella's lying down in the bed, tell her to come on," she nodded and
left.

"I know she isn't sleep, I don't even understand why she's in the bed, I couldn't
deny that that was one of the things I missed most about being human but I didn't lay
down in the bed, it didn't even feel right to me anymore unless I was laying on Charles," I
went into the room.

"Bella," I shook her lightly. "Ugh, that damn Jacob dude must be close," I shook
her again. He turned. "I'm going to kill you Edward."

"Is she back?" he asked.

"Yeah, I'm here," I can't lie, he touched my heart. He sat up, and just stared at my
face.
"You're so gorgeous even for a bloodsucker."

"That much, I know," he smiled.

"I didn't expect to see you tonight."

"I can leave if you like."

"No!"

"You can thank Edward."

"Can you tell me what happen tonight?"

"I don't know…." I sat on the edge of the bed. "I feel like I'm betraying my
mother for even having the inkling of a feeling for you," he smiled.

"Dana, give me a chance."

"This is too much Paul."

"You said my name," I turned my head.

"Yeah."

"It's never sounded so wonderful."

"You're too much pup," I was just trying him to see if he could stand to be with
me, if he wanted to be with me, he would have to be able to take my tongue-lashings.

"But not enough bloodsucker," I laughed.

"Go back to sleep Paul, I'll be here when you wake up."

"You're going to stay?"

"It's still up in the air but I'm not leaving tonight," he just stared at me. "If I let this
happen, don't hurt me okay."

"I promise," those were the last words he said before he drifted off into a deep
slumber, as he slept in the bed, I watched him. What he was dreaming about, I wondered.
What was I doing, I walked out the room and down the hall. Alice was twirling around
downstairs, I watched her from the balcony. I heard a male laugh, Jasper was watching. I
couldn't help but feel envious of her. As a matter of fact, I was envious of them all
Rosalie, Esme, Bella and Alice; they all had someone who would be with them forever.
"Dana," she startled me.

"Hey Alice."

"Why don't you come downstairs and join us," I started down the stairs.

"I'm sorry, I didn't mean to disrupt you guys," she smiled. "Hey Jasper," he
waved.

"Hey Dana," I sat on the couch across from him.

"Jasper you mind if I ask you a question," I ran my fingers through my hair.

"Sure, what's on your mind?"

"Why is it, you want me apart of the 'team' so badly?"

"You're powerful, like Bella, Edward, Emmet, and my Alice."

"What about you," I looked him in the eyes.

"I do have a talent."

"Which is?"

"I feel people energies and can kind of control them."

"Energies," I looked confused.

"Yeah, their emotions sort of," he explained.

"Really? What's my energy?"

"Confusion," he hit home with that word because it was exactly how I was
feeling. "I'm sorry," I laughed at him with his deer in headlights look.

"It's fine, I'm not that hard a person to read," I suddenly felt a wave of peace
throughout my body. "Wow, did you do that?" I looked at him truly amazed, he just
smiled.

"You mind telling me more about your talent," finally something to take my mind
off Paul.

"Sure, shoot."
"What happen the first time it happen, you was the first person it happen to, how
did you even do it?" I smiled at him as I thought about the first time I took over someone.

"It was my mother," they both laughed. "Yeah believe it or not, I asked her for
something, I can't even remember what it was exactly but she said no and I got so mad at
her the next thing I knew I was looking at the world through her eyes."

"How long have you been a vampire?"

"About 20 years."

"How old is your body."

"How old do I look," a smiled spread across his face.

"19?" he guessed.

"21, my body is 21."

"Your powers, you can take over people and blow them up from the inside out."

"Pretty much."

"How'd you learn to control it?"

"My mom took me to this old man, an old wise vampire. He taught me how to
control it."

"Wow."

"Yeah but he never finished. I'm still not that good at the exploding part. I didn't
even know I could do that until I blew that dog to pieces," I smiled at the thought of
doing it again.

"Enough already Jasper," Alice was still twirling; she had such a liberated spirit.
You couldn't help but like her little peculiar personality. Rosalie and Emmet entered the
room.

"Hey Dana, didn't know you were still here," Emmet said as him and Rosalie sat
down on the love seat.

"Yup, still here."

"So Rosalie, what's your power. Beauty?” she smiled.

"That's no power," Jasper said.

"According to you, I don't know one thing that can control a man better. Whether
he be vampire, human or werewolf,” she smiled even harder.

"I try to tell them that," she played in her hair. "But I' m really strong not Emmet
strong but I'm pretty strong."

"How did you become a vampire Dana," Emmet asked.

"My mom turned me."

"What made her turn you?"

"She had a dream and turned me that very next day."

"A dream?"

"Yeah my mother use to dream things that would happen."

"Psychic?"

"I guess you could call her that."

"How did she have a dream, when she didn't sleep?"

"I still don't understand why she called them dreams," they all just nodded.

"How did she become one?"

"I don't know, she never told me," we all sat in silence. The couples paired off
before me. "You want to know, what I don't understand about you guys," they all looked
at me. "You guys are so trusting, I mean I could be trying to kill you all, I'm not, don't get
me wrong but I could be."

"It's not that we are trusting Dana, but I see your future and Edward reads your
mind. If you wanted to do us harm, we would know by now" I nodded.

"Well I'm going to retire to the bedroom, I'm feeling kind of like the fifth wheel
here," I halfheartedly laughed.

"Dana….." Alice rose.

"It's fine; I have a pup upstairs to keep me company," They all looked at me
suspiciously as I walked up the stairs. I opened the door and made sure to close it behind
me. Paul was still asleep, snoring loudly. I laid next to him, and laid my head on his chest
just so I could listen to his heart beat.
We arrived at my parent's house within minutes of course. Everyone was
up and about just doing normal things, I saw Nessie on Jacob's lap I walked over to her
and kissed her forehead.

"Where's Dana?" Bella asked taking the questions right out of my mouth.

"She's still upstairs with Paul."

"Are you guys sure that's ok," she looked at me, I listened.

"He's still sleeping but I don't hear anything from Dana," Jasper and I ran upstairs
and her body was there laying still she almost looked like she was sleeping.

"She's projecting," Carlisle said we both turned to him. "She came to me last night
and said she wanted to fly so I suggested and well she hasn't been back," Paul opened his
eyes and saw her lying on his chest.

"What are you guys doing in here staring at me like that?"

"We're not looking at you," he eased up.

"Wait a minute! You guys don't sleep! What's wrong with her?"

"Nothing, she's projecting."

"What is projecting!" he was yelling by now causing everyone to run upstairs.

"Do you have to scream? Jeez that is my ear you're in!" Dana came back.

"What was wrong with you? I was worried."

"Did you hear him," Carlisle asked

"Indistinctly but I yeah I did," she cut her eyes at him.

"Did you know you could hear things your body heard," Jasper asked.

"No but it's usually loud when I'm projecting and I've never been so far from my
body."

"How was it?" Carlise asked.

"Therapeutic."
"My hair smells like a wet dog," she looked at Paul, he looked down and she
smiled. "Don't tell me you're getting sensitive already," she laughed.

"You can guess again, you don't see me complain about my clothes reeking of
vampire juices," she hit him in the arm lightly but it was still hard. "Ouch."

"Sorry forgot you were so tender," she looks at his arm in the sling. "Sorry about
that by the way."

"So whose body did you take over?"

"An eagle."

"What did you see," Jasper was very interested in her.

"Any and everything," She looked me into my eyes.

"Really?"

"Yeah, it was great," she looked around the room. "So what's on the schedule for
today?"

"Nothing, really. We do have class," she rolled her eyes.

"No, that's ok. I don't feel like school." she looked at Alice, what she was thinking
had my interested peaked to the highest level.

"Alice" she looked at me. "When I was in Edward, I saw... you can't see
werewolves?"

"No."

"Why not?"

"I see vampires because I am one, and I see human because I use to be one. Never
been a werewolf." my mind was going a mile a minute.

"I've been a werewolf..." they all looked with curious expressions.

"Do you think that would change anything," she asked almost excited.

"What?" Carlisle asked.

"Dana thinks if she takes over Alice she would be able to see werewolves," Jasper
answered.
"Maybe Alice would be able to see them." they were all in silence. "It's just a
theory."

"Let's try it!" Alice was all of too excited about this.

"Are you sure," Jasper asked.

"I think it's a very interesting theory," Carlisle stood next to me.

"Dana," Alice called.

"Okay but don't get your hopes up too high, this may not work. Tell me how the
visions work so I can try to have one about a werewolf."

"Just focus on what you want to see," I nodded and laid down on the couch, I
didn't want to hit the floor again.

"Dana," I looked at Jasper, she was short, and I've never been so short.

"Yeah," I lifted my arms and twirled, she had such a light spirit.

"Focus," Jasper said forcefully.

"Okay, okay. Don't bite my head off," I heard a small laugh. I closed my eyes and
thought of Paul, I looked and saw me standing in a red dress, my hair curled, I looked
good. Nessie was there. Paul had a small infant in his arms, one that looked like me. That
was strange, I looked happy though. I walked over and kissed Paul.

"What do you see," it was Carlisle voice that brought me back to reality.

"That damn mutt and a baby," no one said anything. "He kissed me, this can't be
right."

"Okay, you see a werewolf now let's see if it works," Jasper said eagerly.

"Jasper, calm down," he exhaled loudly. I went back into my body without
problems, that vision was still fresh in my mind.

"Alice," he called, she just smiled.

"Give me a minute," her face drew a blank.

"This can not be," Edward said. "It worked," everyone looked at me.

"What?" Alice came over and hugged me.

"Thank you! You don't know how much I hate being blind when their around!"
she squealed. I just laughed at her, Jasper and Carlisle eyes studied me.

"What did I do?"

"You just upgraded her powers to a whole new level and didn't even mean to,"
Jasper said.

"This is remarkable. You are remarkable." I smiled.

"Stop it, it was nothing really. I'm not even sure if it will last," I stood up.

I couldn't take my eyes off her; neither could either of my family

members. Did she not realize how powerful she really was, did she not realize how much
she could do, and how much she could change. Was this girl real?

"Would you guys stop looking at me," she laughed.

"Sorry," we all said, she just shook her head.

"I need to go shopping."

"You could borrow something of mine until you get a chance," Rosalie offered,
everyone looked at her.

"Paul, Sam's looking for you so you may want to head down to La Push," Jacob
said. He looked at Dana and she looked back at him.

"What?"

"You want to come with me," he asked.

"Paul that may not be the wisest decision," Jacob looks at Dana.

"Don't worry about that, I wasn't going anyway. I'm not about to be flocking
around with a bunch of dogs. I'll just go to class and then maybe I'll go shopping," that
peaked Rosalie, Alice, and Nessie interest.

"Maybe we can join," Alice smiled.

"That would be lovely."

"Mommy are you going to come too?" Nessie asked Bella.

"Sure," Bella still wasn't too keen on shopping.

"I don't think we've been properly introduced," Dana looked for Nessie and when
she emerged the from crowd. "Oh my gosh you're four!" Dana stood.

"Give or take," they both smiled, and made a connection, I didn't understand it.
Nessie reached out for Dana's cheek and touched her lightly. She took Dana through her
history.

"Wow," was the only words that escaped her lips. "That's amazing."

"I'm one of a kind."

"Me too," they both laughed. Bella looked at me. I shrugged my shoulders.

"You do look more like Edward," Dana looked at Bella. "Sorry."

"It's something I've learn to realize," they both laughed.

"I love your hair Dana," Nessie ran her fingers through her hair. "It's so thick and
wavy," everyone started out the door.

"Dana," she turned back to me and stared in my eyes, I didn't know what to say or
even how to say it. She smiled.

"I'll see you tonight. Meet me at the lake when the sun sets," I could no longer
hold back my smile. She zoomed away with the rest of the bloodsuckers.

"Are you going to come with me down to La Push," I looked at Jacob. "I'm going
need some back up when the rest of them find out," he laughed at me.

"Okay here I come," together we walked outside and transition together, it felt
good to be in my werewolf form again.

"Paul where have you been!" I heard my alpha, Sam, demand.

"I'm on my way," I transitioned back I didn't want them all in my head the entire
way there, its not like I was looking forward to this meeting anyway.

"Let's walk there."

"Whether we walk or transition, they're going to know Paul," he looked at me

with pity.

"Just give me this walk," he shrugged.

"Leah knows."

"WHAT!"

"She transition one night when I was worried about you."

"Now I know you're whole pack knows! If not mine!"

"Your pack doesn't know, I told her not to tell anyone and that that went for
everyone," there was a silence between us.

"I don't know what to do Jacob; she's going to drive me insane!"

"She's warming up to you though," yeah that was true even calling me Paul. We
walked in silent until Sam's house was in eye view.

"I may be joining your pack Jacob," I half joked.

"You're more than welcome, you and the misses," he hit my shoulder. It smelled
like someone was cooking, we knocked and entered.

"Well long time no see!" Emily smiled as I looked around; everyone was there,
both packs. I spoke to everyone and shot Jacob an evil glance.

"Where have you been Paul," Sam asked. "It's not like you to disappear with
Jacob for days," I didn't say anything. I didn't know what to say. He looked at me
strangely. "So what's this news Jacob tells us you have to tell everyone," he smiled. "Did
you imprint," he laugh.

"Yeah," I answered as everyone cheered.

"Is she outside?" Quil stood.

"No, she isn't here."

"Well who is she? Where did you meet her?" Sam asked. I couldn't even look in
his eyes. "Jacob what's going on? I do not understand this."

"Just tell them," he put his hand on my shoulder. I closed my eyes and pictured
her standing in the water, her arms up, the wind blowing in her hair. The way her eyes
soften when she looks at me. That smile...

"Her name is Dana, she's a vampire," there was a silence throughout the room. I
didn't look up. "I don't know how it happens! I didn't know it could happen but it did and
I love her. I'm in love with her," I didn't look up for a second, there was just a silence, a
dead silence, I looked up, all of them in shock with their mouths hanging open except
Sam, he looked upset, beyond that. He ran out the house and a few minutes later, we
heard a loud howl.

By the time, the sun was setting Sam still hadn't returned and everyone else had come
to terms with the idea. I felt a little better but I still wanted to know what Sam thought. I
said my goodbyes to everyone and left. I still had a little time left so I transition; it had
been a while since I let myself go and when I did. It felt good, felt better than good.

"Paul," it was Sam.

"I'm sorry," those were the only words I could think of, even though this was
something, I couldn't control.

"How did it happen?"

"It's not anything I can control Sam! You know how this works! You think I
wanted this! She hates our kind as much as I hate hers but you know what I rather her
kill me than live without her," he didn't say anything. I made it to the lake. There she
stood so beautiful and peaceful. "She's so beautiful," that was my last thought before I
transition back. I walked over to her, she sat at the shore line her feet in the ocean.

"What are you thinking about?"

"You, me, my life," she answered as she looked back. I sat next to her, she moved
closer to me. "Tell me why me," she looked at me.

"It's not something I chose, it was predestined."

"Predestined," she laughed lightly.

"You are different, you know that."

"I know."

"Dana," I held my hand out for her, she looked down at it and lightly placed her
hand. There was something between us and I knew she felt it. "We are Romeo and
Juliet," she smiled.

"Soul mates divided by who they are and where they belong," she laid her head on
my shoulder. "I'm not going to kill myself for you," I couldn't help but laugh.

"You won't have to."

The next few months, you couldn't separate us; I had fallen head over
heels for him. The smell I was getting use to, and while he slept I projected into animals,
exploring the world in the eyes of theirs. I was learning to master my powers even the
exploding. Paul wasn't transiting at all, and I couldn't help but feel bad about it, I mean if
I truly loved him, I had to love all of him. So tonight I planned to see him. There were a
couple of small problems with us though, we kiss intensely but it never went further than
that. I didn't want to hurt him and he didn't want to hurt me. Another one was Paul wasn't
sure how his pack would accept me so we didn't hang with them; he went from time to
time. I wanted him to be happy and if that meant I had to take some evil comments from
a couple of mutts then I would try my hardest.

"Dana are you sure about this?" I laughed he was more nervous than I was.

"No but I need to see you, and that means all of you," we stood in front of the
Cullen's home. Emmet was near by just on case I went crazy but I doubt I would, I loved
him.

"Ok…." Edward came out of nowhere.

"Hi Eddie."

"Dana I need to talk to you," his voice was serious.

"Can it wait, we're kind of busy," and there it was, there he was, my Paul, a beast
in front of me. I took Edwards hand.

"He wants to come near you," I took a step toward him but never let go of
Edwards hand. "He doesn't want me to come," I looked back at him and let go of his
hand. "He didn't like you grabbing my hand," I looked him in his eyes. His gray fur, I
touched the back of his ear.

"Always so jealous," I placed my head on his. "I love you always," he whimpered
lightly. I looked back at Edward.

"He loves you too."

"Ok go play; Edward has some bad news for me."

"How do you know its bad news?"

"It is, isn't it?"

"It's okay Paul, she'll be fine."

"Go Paul," I hit him, he snarled at me and I blew him a kiss. "So tell me what's
wrong."

"There's nothing wrong, we miss you," we started walking along a wooded path.
"Me and Nessie but you know Jacob doesn't let her out of his eye sight even for the
shortest amounts of time," I laughed

"Then she if anybody understands what I'm going through. Only break I get is
when he's asleep."

"How about me meet up tonight," I looked at him strangely. "I just want to talk,
no harm done."

"How about tomorrow."

"Okay," he seemed disappointed.

"Where?"

"How about England?"

"How about somewhere closer, I'll meet you at your house and you can follow me
to a secret location," he smiled strangely, I looked at him confusingly.

"What is up with you Edward," he just looked at me. "You are acting very
strange," Alice came up behind us and called him over. I followed, its like the two of
them were talking with their brains and I was beginning to feel left out. So I walked
away.

"Dana," I turned to her.

"Yes Alice."

"You mind if I ask you a question."

"Anything, shoot."

"It's nothing Dana, Alice is just being a pest," he cut his eyes at her.

"I guess," and this time I made sure I got away before either one of them could
catch me.

"What are you trying to do?" Alice snapped at me.

"What?"

"I saw you! What you're trying to do to her……with her!" I watched as her vision
played through her head.
"I'm not going to do anything."

"I'll tell you this! If my vision comes to past, expect a lot of trouble! Think about
Bella and Nessie. Think about what it'll do to Dana and Paul! She's finally happy! I know
you're in her head constantly! Don't be so selfish!"

We sat in our usual spot, not exchanging words no words were needed, we both
knew how we felt about each other, we both knew what we wanted but there were so
many what if factors. She leaned over and looked in my face, I kissed her, and I kissed
her deeply. She allowed my hands to roam her body, she allowed my tongue to massage
hers, and there we were on the shoreline of the beach just the two of us…

"Dana," I looked up and saw Alice

"Yes," I was playing the video games against Emmet and Jasper.

"I need your advice on something," I dropped the controller.

"Don't leave yet," Emmet whined.

"Guess I'll have to finish this ass whipping some other time."

"Okay sure what's up," we both went upstairs and in to her room. We walked into
her closet; she had the biggest closet in the entire house and for good reason. I sat on the
small couch she had there.

"You're meeting Edward tonight."

"Aw yeah, good thing you reminded me I almost forgot but I guess so, why do
you ask?"

"Just wondering. How are you and Paul?"

"We couldn't be better!" she looked at me and smiled. "Why do you ask about
Edward, does this have anything to do with what you two were talking or not talking
about yesterday," she didn't say anything. "Spill it Alice."

"Edwards never going to forgive me," she looked me in the eyes. "Okay I had a
vision," I just listen. "Of you and Edward kissing not only that but Edward kissing you. I
saw it leading to more…." I felt my mouth drop.

"What!"

"Yes and when I tried to talk to Edward about it, he just…..he didn't say anything
just told me to mind my business," I couldn't believe what I was hearing, my head was
going a mile a minute, I didn't know who I should be upset with or even if I should be
upset. "I'm just telling you this Dana, because he has a family and for some reason
Edward isn't thinking right."

"Thank you Alice," I stood up. "You don't have to worry about that happening;
I'm going to deal with this." It took me some time to realize what I was going to do. I
knew I wasn't going to meet him alone. I knew I had to think of something, and that's
when it came to me.

I was playing the piano and Bella was reading a book when I heard Dana's voice,
I didn't stop playing I just looked around. I was losing my mind.

"Edward," now I knew I wasn't going crazy. I stopped playing and looked around.

"Where are you," I whispered. "Over here by the window, go back to playing the
piano before Bella comes into the room, I just need you to listen," I looked at the window
and there she was a in a humming birds body. I sat back down and started playing again.
"Edward, how could you? Try to trap me like you did, you know I have an undying
attraction for you. I thought we were friends, I thought we were better than friends but
not more than friends. I mean what were you going to do. Kiss me; maybe even make love
and then what! I'm in love with Paul and you're madly in love with Bella! That was not
fair at all Edward," I wanted to respond but what could I say, I continued to play. "I don't
ever want to speak to you again Edward, this is the end of our friendship. The only
reason I'm not leaving is because of Paul, Nessie and Esme! You are so selfish. I never
thought of you as that guy. I feel sorry for Bella and more importantly Nessie. Goodbye
Edward."

"Dana wait!" I saw the humming birds body explode and I knew she was gone,
not only had I lost my escape from my life but I had lost a valuable friend and for what.
Because of who? Alice!

I didn't know where to go, I wish I could cry even if it was only one tear, I
had just lost my best friend and for what. Maybe it was for the best, maybe it wasn't but
now I'll never know. How could he be so selfish, how could he be so stupid. Like Alice
wouldn't see what we did!

"I did it because, I wanted a deeper connection with you Dana," I looked up and
saw him standing there just as beautiful as the day I had first laid eyes on him.

"Do you not understand what it is you have done, if we kiss if we touch, I will
never speak to you again," he looked in my eyes deeply.

"I love you," he whispered ever so lightly.

"You do not!" he took a step closer to me, his scent so intoxicating.

"Yours is too. Emmet and Jasper agree."

"Maybe its part of my charm, trapping male vampires," I moved slowly.

"Like Paul."

"That was a low blow besides he isn't a vampire," I moved away from him. "I love
you Edward but as a brother, but this is the end of us," I took a step closer to him and
kissed him, I allowed myself to get lost in the kiss. "Paul is my heart, and Bella has
yours," I left him standing there.

I didn't talk to Edward for months, nine months to be exact, we saw each other.
The first few weeks he begged for me to reconsider. I did miss him terribly and I knew he
knew it. Every time we were out, it popped in my head like something I couldn't control.
He never gave up, even convinced Alice to talk to me I wouldn't budge I knew what was
best. Paul and Bella even started asking questions about what happen between us, I never
answered not because I was being mean, I didn't know how or what to say.

"Dana, why are you being so evil to our brother?" Jasper and Emmet asked while
we were playing video games.

"I don't know what you guys are talking about," I looked through their video
game collection, it was huge.

"He asked us to talk to you," Emmet admitted.

"I feel the tension between you two....the sexual tension. I can't keep my hands off
Alice when you two are around," I stopped in my tracks. I turned to Jasper.

"Is that so," I walked over to him. "What do you feel right now," I was two
seconds away from slamming him into a wall. "Did he tell you that he tried to trap me?!"
I back away from him so I could make eye contact with both of them. "About how Alice
had a vision about him kissing me and even taking it a step further and how he wouldn't
have stopped it if I'd let it gone further, he's in my head constantly he knows; I can't
control my emotions like that."

"He told us," Emmet said.

"Dana, can you blame him, you're beautiful," Jasper said as I laughed.

"Every one of us are beautiful, he's selfish."

"I don't understand you guys, do any of you communicate. I don't have anything
to say to Edward, he means nothing to me and I'm nothing to him. Tell him to stop
sending you guys to talk to me," they both looked at me. "I'm sorry but he's making you
guys think it's my fault when it's not."

"That's not what I'm trying to do Dana seriously, I just miss you something
terrible," I didn't say anything. "It's almost been a year. I think about that kiss all the time
too. You're right, it wasn't," I looked at him, “It wasn't what I thought it would be," I
turned completely to him.

"You want to go there," I balled my fist.

"There's nowhere to go," I felt my body going hot.

"Edward, I'd advice you'd stop talking," I was trying to calm myself.

"What are you going to do," he was toying with my emotions. I just walked away.

"That's not going to work this time," I turned to Emmet and Jasper, who tried to
pretend like they weren't paying attention. "I'll see you guys later," and with that I walked
away.

I was running out of options, it looked as if the stunt I pulled a few

minutes ago didn't do anything but push me further backwards. Once she was out of ear
shot. Jasper and Emmet started laughing they were laughing at me.

"She'd rather have sex with a dog than you," Emmet said his words were harsh but
true.

"I've tried everything with her. Those are the most words she's said to me in nine
months."

"A word to the wise, you young men may want to find a more closed place to
have this conversation. If Alice or Rosalie would have heard you, I'm sure they'd be at
Bella's already, if Esme finds out you're the reason Dana wants to leave, she's going to be
very upset with you. Do I need to go on?" I knew I was getting careless but I couldn't
control it at times.

"She's going to Alaska?"

"Yeah, her and Paul," I didn't have any animosity against Paul, how could I. Just
then Paul and Jacob came into the room smiling.

"What's up with you two?" Carlise asked smiling at them.

"No," I said to myself when I heard what they were thinking.

"Paul's going to ask Dana to marry him."

"A wolf and a vampire married," Jasper said. "That should cause a lot of chaos
but congratulations!" He gave Paul a brotherly hug.

"I would say welcome to the family but I already consider you a part of us,"
Carlisle smiled.

"Congratulations man!" Emmet said. Paul was smiling ear from ear. I was too
stunned to say anything. Jacob shot a look at me which snapped me out of my trance.

"Congrats Paul," I shook his hand.

"You guys are the first people I've told. The real troubles going to come when
Sam finds out," I let out a breath of relief. There was no way he was going to go for this.

There was something in the way Edward was acting that didn't sit right
with me. He acted as if he had a problem with this, if anything I thought he'd be happy
for us especially since he is Dana's best friend, maybe he knew something I didn't know,
maybe Dana wasn't happy on some level. She did seem a bit more moody than usual.

"When are you planning to tell your pack," he asked

"It'll be a while, after I save for a ring and stuff. I want to get her the ring she
deserves."

"Nonsense!" Esme approached with a smile on her face. "I'll give you the money,"
she looked at Carlise. "We'll give you the money, it'll be our honor."

"Money for what?" Alice asked as Rosalie, Bella, and Nessie entered the room.
Everyone looked at me.

"I'm going to propose to Dana," they all squealed even Rosalie.

"Oh my gosh! We have to do this right for her! We'll have a party and you can
propose in front of everyone," Alice was going a mile a minute.

"I wonder whose she's going to pick to be her maid of honor," Nessie squealed.

"You, of course but she's going to ask the three of us to be bridesmaids," they all
started laughing when Dana enter wearing a red strapless dress; it was my favorite to see
her in.

"Ok, what's going on. Who's having a party!" she started dancing. Everyone
looked at her.

"What!?" She looked at her dress. "Did I get a spot on my dress?"

"You look perfect," she smiled.

"I thought so," I smiled.

"So what is everybody celebrating?"

"Nothing, we're throwing a party," Nessie answered.

"Who's having a party?"

"Your family....my family…..our families," I answered and hoped she would

catch the hint.

"You mean my vampire and your werewolf," I nodded.

"What's the occasion?"

"You," she smiled as she walked over to me and kissed me.

"When is this so called party," she looked at everyone's face.

"It's still in the works if you don't mind," she placed her hands in the air.

"Dana," Nessie called her over; she walked over to the females. I heard them all
squealing and laughing, I felt someone burning a hole in my face, I looked over and
caught Edward's eye.

"You mind talking to me for a second," his face softens and we walked outside.

I didn't know how I should feel anymore, Dana was truly happy and I
should be happy for her but I knew I was losing her and the more I lost the more he
gained, I couldn't help but feel a little resentment towards him. I sat in silence as I
listened to him and his thoughts; I knew what had to be done even though it would be
hard. It was time for me to let go of Dana.

"Did I do anything wrong, did she tell you something I don't know."

"No, as a matter of fact from reading her thoughts she's the happiest she has been
in a very long time," he smiled.

"What's going on between you two?"

"I was being a jerk and may have lost my best friend."

"I'm sure it will blow over."

"I don't think so but seeing her tonight how happy she was made me realize a few
things, do me a favor and tell her I'm sorry."

"I forgive you, it's about time you came to your senses. I've missed my best
friend," I looked upstairs at the house and saw her standing in the window smiling. I
wanted to hurry so I could hug her. "Hurry up and finish," she smiled.

"She loves you Paul more than you realize, trust that," we walked back into the
house. Everyone laughing and joking enjoying the company of each other this was my
family. I went upstairs before she could make it downstairs, I wanted this hug to be just
the two of us. My old room, I laughed you never would have thought this was my room
not looking like this.

"Wow, you've really turned things around in here."

"Don't be mad because I brought life to this room," we both smiled and she ran
into my arms and hugged me, that hug gave me all I was missing from her in these last
nine months, it almost made it worth the wait. "Thank you," she whispered in my ear.

"Why are you thanking me?"

"Alice told me what was going to happen between you and Paul, she told which
ways you could have taken it and she showed me which way you did, the complete act of
selflessness and I thank you completely," she held me tighter she kissed my cheek.

"Thank you for forgiving me."

"If you weren't married then maybe we could have been but I love Bella Nessie
and you,' she joked. "That's the truth."

"And if you weren't madly in love with a mutt then maybe I'd give you a go," She
released me.

"I'll meet you downstairs."

"What's wrong," I looked in her face and knew something wasn't right.

"Edward please go, I'll be down in a second jeez," she pushed and pushed and
started thinking the ABC's in her head.

"What are you hiding Dana."

"I'll tell you later," she opened the door and pushed me out. I went downstairs;
Alice was smiling at me, everyone else in their own little world. I just sat down one the
couch, Bella came and sat down next to me.

"What's wrong Edward?"

"Dana's hiding something, she just ran out the window thinking the ABC's so I
wouldn't know."

"She's probably fine, don't be so overprotective," she smiled.

"It's just not sitting right with me."

"Where's Dana," Alice smiled.

"She left, can you see where she went," she closed her eyes, I saw what see saw
and I saw Dana asking Alice not to look any further the party seemed to die down.

"What's wrong," Jacob asked.

"Dana," she answered all eyes on Paul.

"Where'd she go?" he finally spoke

"We were upstairs; she kicked me out and ran out the window."

"I'm sure she's fine," Esme said but in her mind things were going for the worst.

"I'm going to look for her," his hands were shaking by this point.

"Wait Paul!" Nessie yelled as she stood in front of him, Bella jumped up to her
side in fear that Paul was about to lose it. "She made me promise to keep you here. You,
Jacob, Dad, Mom, Aunt Alice, Aunt Rosaline, Uncle Emmet, Uncle Jasper, grandma and
Granddad. She said she needed until morning."

"Where's the letter," I said, she was holding back that bit of information.

"No Dad!" she yelled but I was already going through her book bag and there it
was under the bottom. I pulled it out and read,

Edward,
I know you didn't listen to Nessie, you're so stubborn! You and Paul tell
him I'm doing this for him and that I love you all and trust me. Jasper and I have been
working on my defense skill if I need to I will kill these mutts. I'm sorry I didn't tell any of
you but it this needed a little of my touch. If I'm not back by morning, Nessie knows know
to find me.
Not to far from home,
Dana.

"How do you find her," Paul raged.

"Look Paul, calm down. I don't know! And I don't want to know until morning!"
Nessie put her hands on her hips.

"She doesn't Paul but knows it's something she'll have to find but won't start
looking until morning."

"Well, I'm going to leave."

"No you're not!" she yelled at him. "If she wanted to be found, she would have
told you where she was going. Trust her. Jasper does she need protecting. I've watched
them practice," he looked at Jasper.

"She's really strong Paul, I feel bad for anyone who crosses her and pisses her
off," he still wasn't convinced and neither was I but what could we do. There was nothing
but silence throughout the house, everyone worried, and we waited until the sun started to
rise, still no Dana. I looked at Paul, he looked sick; his anger had changed to worry
within minutes of us waiting. Nessie was asleep on Jacob's chest and he was zoning in
and out. Paul was extremely tired but I knew there was no way he was going to sleep.

"Hey Edward," I looked around. "I'm upstairs, I need to talk to Paul, tell him to
come upstairs please," I went through her head and saw what she was about to do and
why. I wasn't going to send him upstairs without talking to her first but I needed a
distraction.

"Jacob, you and Nessie go upstairs. She's really tired. I'll come with you," we
walked up the stairs. "Nessie baby, wake up. Dana needs you," she lifted her sleepy head.

"Where is she?" Jacob put her down.

"Should I leave?" he asked.

"No, she'll need your opinion too. She's about to make the biggest mistake ever,"
they both looked confused as we entered her room.

"What are you guys doing here, Edward, I wanted Paul."

"I know what you wanted and why you wanted him. That's not fair Dana," she
looked at me, her eyes so full of hurt.

"What's not fair," Nessie asked.

"She's going to leave Paul because Sam said that if she doesn't, there going to
exile Paul."

"WHAT!" Jacob yelled.

"Would you please be quiet!" she hushed "This is not either of you guys fight as
much as I love Paul, I want him happy."

"Dana, that's not fair," Nessie said as she came over to her, she placed her hand on
her back. "It's his choice to make."

"No it's not!" her voice cracked. "If he makes the choice he's going to choose me
and resent me for it. He needs his family!" she ran to the door. "It is not any of your
places to say anything to him! And if you do, I swear you'll regret it," she ran down the
stairs. We were close on her heels.

"Paul, I need to talk to you," her first words to me. Her eyes weren't right, I knew
whatever she had to say it wasn't going to end good for me.

"Where have you been?" I was still upset.

"I want you to leave," I heard my heart drop. "We're never going to work and I'm
tired of trying. Get out of here now!" I felt a lump develop in my throat.

"Why are you doing this?"

"Because….because I want to!" she walked over to me. "I never loved you, I hate
you, you've got all of my clothes stinking," her eyes, she seemed more hurt with the
words she was saying than me. "Are you not hearing me?! Leave!"

"No!" was all I had to say.

"This is not a question, either you leave or I make you leave."

"Well that's what you're going to have to do because I'm not walking out of here."

"Oh yes you are," she charged at me and we flew into the wall.

"You're going to have to kill me Dana because I'm not leaving you," I felt tears
falling down my face. She raised her fist and it started to tremble.

"That's enough!" Esme said in a stern voice.

"I love you Dana," I kissed her lips.

"Stop," she grabbed me by my neck. I saw Emmet, Jasper and Carlisle start to
come over, Edward stop them.

"This has to happen."

"Don't do this to me, please just leave," she whispered.

"Why are you doing this," that made her look away, she stood up.

"Dana, don't!" she turned and just looked as Alice shook her head no.

The scene in front of me, I didn't know what to do or what to say. I saw
Dana project into his body and hers fall over.

"Are you ok Dana," Nessie walked over and hugged her.

"He loves me so much."

"I don't understand Dana," Bella said. "Why are you doing this?"

"She feels as if she has to, Sam…"

"Stop it Edward!" she yelled.

"Dana…." Esme walked over to her. "Honey what are you going to do with his
body."

"I'm taking his body to La Push," she sat down, he's so tired so hurt and then I
saw it, she cried. I walked over to my friend and held her close. She just released on my
shoulder. "I don't know how I'm going to let him go."

"You know you don't have to," I wiped the tears.

"Yes I do," She stood. "Jacob tell him I love him," Jacob nodded. She looked at
me.

"What."

"You stink, it's burning my nose" she smiled and gently pushed her face away, I
smiled back at her.

"I'm leaving. I'll see you guys soon," when she was gone.
"What's going on Edward," Esme asked.

"I cant," I looked down. "I just got back into her good graces," they looked at
Nessie next.

"Goddamn werewolves," Nessie said.

"Watch your mouth young lady," Bella said.

"But ma! It's their fault all this happen. Sam told Dana that if she didn't end her
relationship with Paul, they would exile him," she looked at Jacob. "Is there anything you
can do about this? You saw how hurt they were and how hurt their going to be."

"She's going to run," Alice said

"I'll get on it," Jacob said.

"Why didn't she just tell Paul," Rosalie asked

"She knew what he would have chosen and family is big to Dana, she feels he
needs them more than he needs her."

"That's not her chose to make," Jasper said.

"In whose eyes," Alice said.

The next five months were torture to watch, I saw Dana emotions in my head
even though she put on the front that she was ok and I saw Paul in Jacob's head. I didn't
know what to do or even who to talk to. Jacob told us every other day that Sam was not
budging on his decision and that he figured Paul would get better with time. I didn't see
that happening. Dana would take over human and animals so she could cry, every since
that day she cried in Paul's body there hasn't been a night she hasn't cried. Paul has never
stopped by and that Dana wasn't expecting him not to show so that in turned was killing
her slowly. I had to do something, I didn't know what but something had to be done. So I
told Jacob to set up a meeting between the two of us, I wouldn't tell him why but I
wanted to know why he hadn't stopped by at least once. He stood in front of me, he
looked horrible.

"Hey Paul, how have you been."

"How do I look bloodsucker," he snapped, he was angry with the world not to say
I didn't blame him.

"Why haven't you been by the house," he looked at me like I was insane.
"Is that why you wanted to meet, to find out why I haven't came back to beg," he
laughed a menacing laugh. "I haven't come back because I have nothing to come back
for. Sam warned me this would happen," Sam had been poisoning him.

"No reason at all huh, not even Dana," he looked at me and his eyes soften.

"How is she," he thought but said. "Not even her."

"She cries every night."

"Bloodsuckers can't cry."

"She found a way; she projects into animals and human so she can cry."

"But she did this."

"She did it for you."

"For me!" he got angry as he went into transition. "She did this because she has
no heart," and with that he ran off. At least now I knew why he hadn't been by, Sam was
in his head. I didn't know how I would even handle this but something had to be done.
When I got back home, Dana was lying on the couch; I figured she was projecting until I
heard her moan.

"What's wrong Dana?"

"My stomach's hurting," she placed her hand over her stomach.

"How long have you been hurting Dana."

"A couple of months."

"Dana!"

"I know, I didn't think it was anything but now I'm thinking I'm….” she didn't
have to say anything because I knew. "Pregnant."

"I'm going to get Carlisle," she didn't say anything, I ran off. He did his
examination and sure enough she was.

"How is this possible, I'm pregnant with a half werewolf, half vampire baby? I
want this thing out of me," Bella and Nessie came into the room.

"What's wrong with you Dana," Nessie asked as she went to her side.

"She's pregnant," Carlisle answered.

"Oh my gosh!" Nessie screamed.

"What," Jacob asked as he entered.

"Don't worry I'm getting rid of it," she laid her head back down

"Are you sure that's what you want to do Dana," Bella asked.

"She can't anyway she's too far along," Carlisle said.

"But I'm not getting bigger," she stood and she wasn't noticeable big but she was
bigger.

"Dana, we're going to have to kill it once it's born," she didn't like that idea; she
didn't like it at all. "Tell him he needs to be here," I looked at her.

"Jacob, go get Paul," they all looked at Dana. She just turned on the couch. "Don't
tell him what's wrong just yet. Just that she needs him," Jacob left. Bella was talking to
Dana, reassuring her that everything would be fine.

"Wait! Go get Jacob, I'll go myself. Just tell him to lower him away from those
anti vampire grounds," She stood and she was dizzy. "I'm fine. Go ahead you're the only
one who can catch him."

"Why are you doing this, just have him meet you here," Jasper said.

"He won't come, if I know Paul, he will not come," she looked at Jasper. "Come
with me?"

"Of course," they took off together.

I was sitting in Sam's living room eating a tub of ribs that Emily had
cooked up for me, I missed Dana, my life without her seemed empty without her but Sam
was right. there was nothing I could do now but try and erase her but I wasn't going to
run from my home, I felt some kind of satisfaction knowing she was near even though I
wasn't with her, I still loved her dearly. Jacob came through the door out of breath.

"What's wrong," I sat up knowing it was about Dana.

"Dana," I sat back down "She's in trouble Paul, life or death," I couldn't pretend
like I didn't care anymore.

"Where."
"The lake, she wants to tell you herself," I swallowed hard.

"I don't care; I can't meet her face to face," was he insane or trying to drive me
insane.

"There's a life in the balance Paul, she needs you," as much as I wanted to pretend
like I didn't care I was out the door. I made it to the shoreline before Jacob and there she
was she looked bad, sick. I walked over to her.

"What's wrong," her eyes low, she didn't look me in my face.

"I'm sorry Paul," I took a step back, what was she trying to do to me.

"I didn't come down here for this; Jacob said there was a life in the balance. You
look horrible but I doubt your life is in the balance."

"It's not my life," she moved into the water, allowing the wind to take her hair, it
took me back to the time when we were first alone, I had to shake the memory from
replaying in my head again.

"Well I'm leaving."

"I still love you, do you love me still," I turned and saw her so unprotected, her
guard let completely down.

"No," I lied, I had to, and I saw her heart break.

"Well this shouldn't be a long conversation," she stood, I wanted to help her up
but couldn't.

"What," I started to walk away.

"I'm pregnant," that stopped me in my foot steps.

"What did you say?"

"I'm pregnant but you don't have to worry about it. I'm going to get rid of it."

"But you can't and you know it," Edward came down with Jacob and Jasper on his
side.

"She's too far along to get rid of it," Jacob looked at me, neither me or Dana said
anything.

"How did this happen!" I didn't know what else to do so I snapped.

"Um let's see I don't remember you putting on a condom!" she yelled.

"What are you going to do then?"

"What am I going to do?! What am I going to do?" I knew this face and I knew
what was coming.

"You heard me!"

"I'm going to kill him!"

"Good," her knees gave out and she fell to her knees. Jacob and Edward both
went into defense mode.

"You got no right to talk to her like that," Jacob said. "You really don't even have
a reason to be upset."

"Jacob no," she said weakly. I was confused.

"He needs to know Dana," Edward said as Jasper took a step towards her.

"No Jacob please," she reached out for him.

"Sam did this to you," Dana fell to the ground but before she landed completely,
Jasper had her in his arms. What is that suppose to mean! Jacob went into his pocket and
handed me a letter. I opened it

"What's this?"

"This is the letter Sam gave her before he told her if she didn't leave you; he
would sentence you to exile."

Dana,
Paul is losing everything because of this
so called relationship, I need to meet with you
so we can make a compromise somewhere.

"Jacob why!" the grasp she had around Jasper's neck was tighter. "Take me home
Jay," I didn't know what to say, what to do! What had I done!

"Edward," I called he was looking at Jasper, who was looking at me like I was
prey.

"I need to eat," her request fell on deaf ears.

"Dana," I called.
"Don't," she said with force. "Jasper, take me to eat now!"

"Jasper, leave," Edward said to him, he took off with her still in his arms Edward
looked at me one last time, and then followed suit. I felt nothing, absolutely nothing,
what was I going to do. Jacob was still standing beside me.

"What am I going to do," Jacob didn't say anything. "I've lost her! I've lost her!" I
dropped to my knees, knowing that she did this all for me made me sick to my stomach.
"My first born, I didn't even think I would be able to have kids and she's carrying my first
born. What am I going to do," I looked up at Jacob.

"I couldn't tell you Paul but you better fix it."

"You don't know her, you don't know Dana. She's never going to forgive me."

"So what are you just going to give up?"

"No," I wouldn't, I couldn't. I was going to fight, no matter what, no matter how
long it took.

She had already drank six cups of blood, and was still going but with
every cup she got better, she was smiling for everyone in front of her but I knew she was
hurting deeply. She wanted to be alone; she wanted to talk to her baby…

"How'd it go with Paul," Rosalie asked as she reentered the room. Dana laughed
weakly.

"As well as can be expected. It's just going to be me and little Kendall," she had
already told the story to Nessie, Esme, Alice and Bella when Rosalie had came back.

"You planning on keeping him," Bella smiled.

"If I can, yes I do."

"And if you can't…." Paul was standing at the door with nothing but a pair of
jogging pants on; she didn't even look his way. There was nothing but a dead silence.
Alice, Esme, Nessie, Rosalie and Bella all looked at Paul like he was the enemy. He just
stood in the doorway, almost too afraid to make a move. The women around her like her
own personal security. "I'm not going anywhere Dana," he took a step inside and came to
her side.

"Do you want him to leave," Nessie had the most hate for him next was Esme.

"I don't care what he does because he's dead to me and my child," she put a
emphasize on my.

"You don't have to talk to me," he was going to regret those words. "Just let me be
here for you and our," she turned her eyes to him. "The baby," She turned away from
him. I took sympathy for him as did Alice and Bella.

"How far along is she?"

"7 and a half months," Bella smiled. Carlisle entered the room with Emmet and
Jasper, both of them upset with Paul for leaving Dana.

"When did you decide you want to be a daddy," Jasper sneered. Paul didn't say
anything.

"My baby doesn't have a daddy," Dana snapped

"Behave you two," Carlisle sat his doctor bag next to where Dana was sitting.
"How are you feeling?"

"Better but I've got a craving for a steak," she smiled, I saw how her smiled
warmed his heart, and he took a step closer, Bella moved aside so he could be closer.

"Steak?" Carlisle asked.

"Yeah for some odd reason, I haven't had a craving in years. for food anyway."

"You want to try some human food," she looked at him confused.

"Sure."

"Alice go get her an apple," everyone's interest was peaked including mine; she
came back with a donut.

"Oooo, I love you so much Alice if this works."

"It will," we all laughed at her. She took a bite of the food.

"Oh my gosh!" she rolled her eyes in the back of her head. "This is the happiest
I've been in months!" she admitted, everyone laughed not knowing how true that
statement really was.

"Now we can go out to eat!!!" Nessie was as excited as her.

"It's been so long since I've had food!" Paul smiled at her.

"What, I don't understand is why you're not bigger," both their faces covered with
worry.

"Is there something wrong with my baby?"

"The baby is going to be fine," he smiled reassuringly. "Now that you both are
here, I think it's time we talked about if this ends badly."

"Alice, can you bring me another donut," Alice smiled. "I'm going to do whatever
needs to be done in this situation well not me but you understand," Dana closed her eyes,
Paul took her hand and she snatched away from his grasp. Carlisle tried his best to keep a
smile on his face but he couldn't relish the thought of killing an infant.

"Wait a minute now, there must be another way," Paul spoke.

"I've never known a baby to be born half vampire, half werewolf but we shall
see," Carlisle said as he stood. "Everyone, I think its best if we give Dana and Paul some
privacy to talk things over."

"Hmmm no we shouldn't I don't have anything to say to him."

"You don't have to talk just listen," nobody budge, she didn't even think anything;
it was like he hadn't even said anything.

"Dana do you want me to leave," Nessie asked.

"Nope," she smiled as Alice brought the box of donuts.

"Hey those are mine!" Nessie whined playfully, Dana stuck out her tongue at her.
They both smiled at each other.

"I'll just talk in front of them. I don't care," he said. Dana touched her belly.

"A word to the wise," I butted in. "She's not going to say anything to you Paul,
not a single word. Just talk, that's your best bet because she's going to pretend like you're
not even around," He nodded.

"Dana, I love you."

"Nessie what restaurant should we hit first," she completely ignored him. Nessie
didn't say anything to her, she just looked at Paul.

"Why didn't you tell me Dana? That was my choice to make, not yours! I love you
more than that damn pack! Don't you understand that?" she continued to eat the donuts. "I
love you, and I know you love me. You don't ever have to say anything to me again, but
I'm not going anywhere. I'll be here every night, if you won't let me in the room I'll sleep
in front of the door. I'm going to protect you and whatever you decide to do with our
baby," he put an emphasize on our. "I'm going to support you," She stood and walked
away from him, the donuts completely gone.

"I want to go to I-hop first, it was my favorite restaurant. I'm going to change, get
sexy we may meet some fine men along the way," and with that said she walked away.

"She heard you Paul," Nessie said. "But you know her, she's so stubborn and you
do kind of deserve it," she touched his shoulder. "Tell Dana, I'm going to change,” she
zoomed away leaving the rest of us alone. Each and every one of us felt sorry for him but
didn't know how to even approach the subject.

"Can you talk to her for me," he looked at me. I didn't want to be caught in the
middle, this wasn't fair. I went up the stairs, I knocked on the door.

"Who is it?"

"Eddie."

"Come in."

"Hey," she put on the red dress she had on the last time she saw Paul.

"Hi, he asked me to talk to you."

"I figured as much."

"What are you going to do," she laughed.

"You're in my head I'm sure, shouldn't you already know the answer to that."

"I got nothing."

"Then neither do I," she laughed.

"Can you forgive him?"

"No."

"Yes you can."

"I probably can but won't."

"Why."

"I don't need a reason."

"You are so stubborn."

"Like you didn't know that," she laughed. "You and Bella want to come to the
restaurant with us?"

"Dana stop avoiding this."

"I'm not avoiding this; I'm not dealing with this. Paul chose this even after he
found out I was pregnant, he still wanted me to kill him but now its I love you so much,"
she rolled her eyes. "I don't want to talk about this right now."

"You still love him," she turned and stared at me in my eyes.

"Yes I do but I deal with pain quite well."

Nessie and I arrived at the restaurant in record time, nobody wanted to

come along except Jacob but I told him no, last thing I wanted was for him to be there
and go run back and tell Paul everything we talked about. Once the waitress came back
with our food, we started to eat.

"Damn this is good," the first bite I took was the scramble eggs and cheese.

"Dana, what are you going to do about Paul," I didn't stop eating.

"Nothing, I don't want to deal with him."

"What about the vision you saw of you, Paul and a baby, now you're pregnant," I
didn't put two and two together until she just said it.

"I didn't even think about that, he's going to be so beautiful," I let my mind go
back to that vision.

"You can't stay mad at Paul."

"And why not."

"Because you love his ass," I cut my eyes at her.

"You bet not let your mother hear you talking like that."

"But u do," she took my hand.

"And your point is."

"Give him a chance, he didn't know Dana."

"I need some time to think about this," she looked at me and tilted her head. "now
stop bugging me about Paul and let's enjoy our lunch together. I just need a friend not a
lecturer."

"Okay, eat your food from one of your five plates," I laughed at her.

"Is that Jacob?" she started to turn. "Don't turn!" I yelled

"I can't believe he followed us," she whispered lowly.

"Paul's with him" I whispered back. "You want to see something funny," I smiled
devilishly.

"No," she smiled.

"Oh, come on Ness. I promise you will laugh," she already started laughing. "I'll
take that as a yes," I laid my head down on the wall in the booth we shared.

"Dana don't," it was too late though, I took over the waitress body who had served
us our food. I looked over at Nessie and smiled as I walked over to them.

"Can I take your orders," they looked up at me. They recited their request to me.
"Are you sure you don't just want the ladies over there?" Jacob started coughing.

"Excuse me," Jacob said.

"You know, it's against the law to stalk people," Paul looked up and into my eyes.

"Dana?" they both looked over at my body.

"No, can't you see my name is Becky," I flipped her stringy blonde hair.

"What are you doing?" Jacob said in a low voice.

"What are you guys doing here?" neither one of them said anything. "That was the
purpose of us coming all the way out here so we could be alone."

"Well since we're here, we minus well join you" he got up and pulled Paul along.
I exhaled loudly as I found my way back into my own body. Paul was sitting next to me,
the smell trigger something, it made me miss him, miss having him so close. I looked at
him. and he looked at me. I felt myself pulling to him, my head leaning in to kiss him and
I was fighting with everything in me but I couldn't it. I kissed his lips ever so lightly, but
it felt good.

"Excuse me," I didn't look into his eyes. At first he didn't move, then a few
seconds later, he got up and I ran home.

"Do you ever stop eating?" Edward poked fun at her.

"Shut up!" she was over due and still eating nonstop, her stomach even stretched
she was really beautiful, still hadn't said one single word to me, I wasn't even allowed to
sleep in the room so I slept in front of her room's door.

"Dana, I think we're going to induce labor," Carlisle said, she nodded.

"When?" She looked worried.

"Tomorrow," she didn't say anything.

"My last day as a pregnant woman. I'm going to hit ever restaurant I can,"
everyone laughed.

"We could cook a big meal," Esme offered. Dana smiled.

"Yeah! Believe it or not, the waiters frown when you ask them for a side cup of
blood," she was so full of life, laughing and joking. She seemed so happy!

Even though Jacob, Nessie, Dana and I were the only people who actually ate
food, there was food everywhere, mountain on top of mountains of food.

"Wow, don't you guys think you've over done it," Nessie laughed. Dana entered
the dining room and her mouth drop.

"Oh my gosh!" Esme put her head down. "I'm in heaven!" Esme lifted her head,
she smiled. "Good thing I don't sleep," she went into the dining room and grabbed a plate.
I looked around, there was everything a man could want, my mouth started to water.
There was a giant glass of red juice

"Is this punch," Dana laughed.

"Sure, why don't you give it a taste, it's my special batch," everyone snickered.

"Behave Dana," Carlisle said. "its blood," he said it but I was still caught up on
the fact that she spoke to me, it made me smile. Dinner was wonderful, conversation was
easy, and Dana was eating nonstop. I thought she was going to burst.

"Ummmm?" the table went quite. "I think I just peed on myself," nobody moved.

"You guys pee?" I asked.

"Emmet, pick her up and bring her into the living room."

"No! I got her," they looked at Dana.

"Something's not right," she looked at Carlisle.

"What do you feel?"

"Oh my gosh!" I picked her up, she grabbed my neck. "He's clawing me from the
inside," she screamed.

"Put her down right here," Carlisle order, she screamed again. I placed her down;
she grabbed me by my collar.

"Carlisle, hurry up," she yelled but never let me go; Alice came back with his
doctor bag. "He's going to rip me open, I feel it. Don't kill him until you know that's what
has to be done if that means I have to die so be it."

"NO!!!!" I yelled along with Edward. "You are not going to die, you can't you're a
bloodsucker," she laughed in the mist of all her pain.

"Oh god!" she yelled again.

"Carlisle, what's going on with her," Nessie asked.

"She's going to be fine as soon as I get his head," her legs up as he went inside
her.

"Dana baby look at me," she turned her head to me, her hands still around my
neck.

"He's going to kill me," those words hurt me, if he killed her, I would kill him.

"No! I won't live knowing you're not okay."

"I love you Paul," a tear fell from my eyes onto her face.

"I know you do, don't leave me Dana, please."

"He's going to be so strong," she smiled.

"The cord is around the baby's neck. I can still save him. Dana don't you worry."

"Save him," she kissed me…

There he was, just as beautiful as I saw, he lay sleeping in my arms, so
quiet. There he was Kendall, my Kendall. As hard as I tried I couldn't fight the
connection between me and my son. His eyes were mine, the rest of him belonged to
Paul.

"Dana, do you mind if we run our test," Carlise said. I wanted to say no but I
knew what had to be done. He took my baby from me. They clipped his finger nails.
They gave him a bottle of milk, he drank it, and my baby drank his milk! They opened
his mouth, no teeth no nothing but gums. "Okay Dana, we've got to give him a shot," I
wanted to stand but felt too weak.

"I need to hunt but okay," Alice left and came back with a cup of blood. I close
my eyes as I let the blood take its course, and then I heard my baby scream. I smile, and
then I open my eyes and heard glass shatter. "What happen," I hopped up.

"He's strong but his skin isn't like ours," Carlise said as he stood and let the glass
from the needle fall to the floor. "I'm going to need a sample of his blood."

"Do it again," I walked over to him.

"Alice get me another needle."

"Kendall," his eyes followed my voice. "Don't you break that needle," he started
to cry. "Mommie needs it so you will get better. Be a good boy for Mommie okay," I
grabbed his hand, he was burning hot.

"His skin is hot."

"So is mine," Paul said and I nodded. Carlisle took another shot of his blood,
Kendall squeezed my hand.

"Hey you," he looked up. "Mommie loves you," I kissed his little fingers. Esme
took Kendall from Carlisle.

"He looks just like your mother."

"I know," I smiled; Paul came over and grabbed my hand. "I'm going to miss not
being able to eat," he yanked my arm. I looked at him, I knew he wanted to talk but I still
didn't know if I was ready to talk to him.

"Please."

"Don't worry Dana, he's in good hands," Edward said as I looked at Kendall, he
was smiling in Esme's face.

"Ok c'mon."
This was my time to shine, my time to give her my all and hope it would
be enough for her to forgive me. I didn't let go of her hand as we walked outside, we
didn't say anything as we walked hand and hand until we made it to the beach, our beach.
She sat down and I sat next to her, we never said anything, our hands never left each
other.

"I love you," she looked and me with the look she use to give me when I'd tell her
that, like that was all that mattered. "I know I was wrong for telling you to kill the baby."

"Our baby."

"Our baby," I smiled. "I want him to have a family. A mother and a father. I
understand what you did and I even understand why you did it but Dana this is my life
and I chose you first. I chose you over Sam and his pack. I've join Jacobs pack by the
way," she looked at me. "You're my family you and Kendall," I turned to her. "I've never
loved you more than I do right now," the smile on her face, made me warm. "Let's get
married Dana. I was going to ask you before everything went down but now I can't hold
it back anymore," her cold hand tremble as I lifted it and placed the ring Alice, Nessie,
Esme and I agreed on, although it took days to find it, it was well worth the search. I
placed it on her finger. No words came out of her mouth. "Baby, say something."

"What is there to say? Of course I'll marry you," she jumped on me and kissed me
softly. "Now let's get back to our son," we stood and walked back to the house together.

"Make me a promise Dana," she looked at me before we entered the house.

"Okay."

"The next time you want to know something just ask me. No using your powers
on me," she was silent for a while.

"You're always going to be honest with me?"

"Always."

"Then I promise."

Alice had everything in place for them; she had had a vision three days ago about
what was going to happen. I was still iffy about the whole marriage thing, the entire time
Paul was gone. Dana and I spent countless of hours together. Bella didn't mind because
she knew how Dana had to be feeling. It was nice to find things out about Dana through
her mouth, instead of poking around through her head. I knew once he came back, our
visits would become less and less. I made her promise that we would always have each
other. Our relationship was strange, we kissed on the regular but that's all those kisses
were, they were just kisses. I was still selfish with her, but she helped me realize the place
I had with her and the way she broke it down made me ok with it. There was a knock at
the door, which was strange because Dana didn't knock anymore, everyone looked at me
but I didn't get anything not a voice or anything. Carlisle walked over to the door, I wasn't
far behind him. I looked and saw Charles but there was something different about him,
something very different. Carlisle invited him in.

"Is Dana home," he asked almost like he knew the answer to the question, he
walked right in and sat down on the couch. Bella came in, something wasn't right, she felt
it.

"Should I put up my shield?" I nodded, Bella has mastered her talent able to
project it into shapes and around her attacker and she did so.

"No, she isn't. Can we help you with something” Esme came in with the baby in
her arms. She was followed by Alice, Jasper, Rosalie, Emmet, Nessie and Jacob.

"Don't you guys look like the blended family," he almost laughed.

"I'm going to kill him," Rosalie thought.

"Stay calm," I said to her.

"You know that's really a pretty baby," he got up, Emmet stood in his way. "I'm
not going to hurt him."

"It doesn't matter, you take one more step and I'm going to kill you myself,"
Nessie said.

"What's going on," Dana and Paul entered the room.

"I've been waiting for you honey drop," Charles said as he charged at her. The hit
was loud, almost as soon as he hit her, we jump to her defense.

"Esme get Kendall out of here," she screamed, I didn't understand why she was in
pain.

"But Dana…."

"Esme!" Esme was fighting with two demons, she didn't want to leave Dana but
the baby needed to be protected. "Now Esme!" Kendall turned when he heard her voice.
He started howling. I didn't even notice when Paul transition but he was in werewolf
mode and ready to attack but when he heard that he turned, all of us did and saw Kendall
change, he transition right there in front of our eyes. He didn't change into a werewolf
completely though, he still looked half human, his teeth looked liked vampires, his skin
still human, not even covered in hair. He had claws on all his hands and feet. It was
amazing to see and now I could read his thoughts, which were only of protecting Dana.
"Bella don't let your shield up from around him," Dana said, Charles still on top of her.

"Don't worry Dana, I've got him," Paul looked at me.

"Paul said let him go."

"No! You know what I'm going to kill you," then out of no where, she kicked
Charles off of her, he went flying into the ceiling.

"Dana!" Carlisle yelled. "Don't kill him, project into him and see what's going on.
Edward are you getting anything from him," I shook my head.

"I'll kill him if I project into him, I know it," she walked over and picked up her
little monster, her thoughts not mine.

"Alice do you have anything," she also shook her head.

"Emmet, Rosalie, and Jasper take him as far as you can before he wakes up," they
all nodded as Emmet grabbed his body. "Do not kill him!" they didn't say anything as
they all ran out the door, Alice followed. Paul transition back as did Jacob.

"Jacob did you hear his thoughts," Jacob nodded in agreement. "I heard him too,"
we all looked at him; Dana had him in her arms.

"You were trying to protect your Mommie," she played with him and before our
eyes, he changed back. "That's a good boy! Not even a day old!" She looked at us. "What
was he thinking?"

"Only of protecting you, he was actually telling us what to do, a plan to get him
off of you," Jacob answered sounding astonished, she smiled.

Once everyone was back we all sat in the living room, those of us who could
anyway. Paul and Kendall were upstairs sleeping; Nessie and Jacob were in the
basement. The rest of us sat down waiting for the return of Jasper, Alice, Emmet and
Rosalie.

"Dana, go talk to Esme, she feels horrible for just standing there. She was caught
between…"

"You don't have to explain, I know," she got up and walked over and hugged her.
Just then our missing family members walked back into the house.

"It took you guys long enough! You had me worried sick!" Esme said.
"When we got out of the state, Alice had a vision but she said it was clouded,"
Jasper informed us as everyone looked at her.

"He was bitten by a vampire."

"Great," Dana said.

"But that's not everything," Rosalie said. "When we started to ask him about it, he
said he was bitten by both, said he's like your son," then he tried to attack us. We all
looked at Carlisle.

"What does that mean," Dana finally spoke.

"I'm guessing he's half vampire, half werewolf."

"How is that possible," Jasper asked.

"I don't know son but I do know who may be able to help us," we all looked and
waited for his answer.

"We can't go to them," I spoke when I heard what he was thinking. "They already
thought we were too strong when Bella joined. Now we have all this power, it'll be a war
for sure," everyone had caught on except Dana.

"What are you guys talking about?"

'The head vampire counsel, they tried to kill Nessie when she was born."

"What if they try to kill Kendall?"

"Then we'll kill them," Rosalie said.

"I don't want to put you guys through more than you've already been through.
Kendall, Paul and I can leave."

"And do what; be on the run for the rest of your life. I think not," Esme said.

"It has to be done Dana," Alice said, she still wasn't feeling it.

"We are stronger than them Dana," Carlisle said, she put her head down.

"Can we wait until he's at least a year old?"

"Yes we can," Carlisle said.

By the time 6 months came around, Kendall was walking around but just barely.
He grew faster than normal human babies but not as fast as Nessie. Dana and Paul were
adorable with him. They were adorable together. Although we did stop hanging around
so much, we still did make time for each other. The kisses weren't as frequent but I snuck
one in whenever I could. Charles hadn't been back since that day. Everything was
actually going back to normal, our blended family was actually working we were all
sitting in the living room when Carlisle and Esme came in.

"I think it's time that we make the move to Alaska everyone," Carlisle spoke,
there was a silence. "We've been holding it off for long enough, its now time," he held
Esme's hand.

"We do hope everyone comes," she looked at me and Bella then Dana and Paul.

"Count us in," Emmet said as he grabbed Rosalie.

"Us too," Jasper said. I looked at Bella, I left the decision to her, I knew she
would have troubles leaving Charlie, and then at Jacob, I knew he would follow Nessie to
end of the world but was he willing to leave his pack for her.

"We're in," Bella smiled, she loved her new family and didn't want to give that up.
"We can always visit Charlie, right?"

"I'm in, if you guys are going," Jacob said.

"Of course honey," now everyone looked at Dana and Paul, she was already
packed in her mind but she had to know what Paul wanted to do, he grabbed her hand.

"If this is what you want to do," she smiled.

"Then we're in too," everyone smiled. So it was set everyone was going to Alaska.

ALASKA
Alaska wasn't forks, my home town, but it was nice, especially at night. We hadn't
been outside much, so what the people were like I couldn't really tell you. I did miss my
family and friends terribly but I truthfully wouldn't change my decision to be with Dana
and Kendall for the world. I've never been happier. Although it had only been two weeks,
it felt more like years. Dana was extremely happy, she told me she had never seen snow
before, her favorite part of being here though was dressing for the weather, even though
we couldn't feel a thing, she still dressed us for the whether and today was no different.

"What are you thinking about," Alice came prancing into our room.

"Dana," I admitted, she smiled.

"Of course," she smiled. "Tell Dana, I want to borrow this hat for Jasper," I
nodded, she walked out of the room and I was alone again, looking at myself in the
mirror. Dana had me dressed in all white today; she wanted us to coordinate everyday. I
didn't complain because I would just wear a t-shirt and jeans if wasn't for her but this
made her happy.

"You look sexy," she walked up behind me and placed her arms around my waist.

"White is not my color."

"I know but you look good, you're going to make the humans go crazy…..maybe I
should make you change."

"Oh no!" I knew if she started we'd be here another hour waiting for her to chose
the most perfect outfit for me. I walked out the room and down the stairs.

"You guys ready for high school," Bella said jokingly.

"Oh yeah," I rolled my eyes.

"We're going in as juniors," Edward said.

"All of us?" we were all in the living room waiting for Nessie, Carlisle, and Esme.

"Me, you, Dana, Bella, Jasper, Alice and Jacob," Edward answered. "Rosalie and
Emmet will go in as seniors and Nessie will be a freshman," I nodded. I was not looking
forward to going to high school, I dropped out the first time because I thought it was a
waste of my time, but if it had to be done in order for us to be here for a couple of years
so be it.

"Don't you look bright?" Jacob teased.

"Shut up man!" he was dressed in all black.

"I think, he's in style," Dana kissed my lips. She handed me a vest, I made a face.

"What?" she put a hat on my head. "You have to play the human part."

"You guys ready for school," Nessie beamed coming downstairs wearing a grey
jogging suit.

"What's your problem," Dana asked her, taking the question right out of my head.

"She's never been to school before," Edward explained, I rolled my eyes.

"Remember everyone, your last names are Cullen," Carlisle said.

"I hope we have the same lunch," Nessie said.

"I'll do my best to make that possible," Carlisle promised.

"Breathe Reneesme," Bella said as everyone laughed at her as we walked out the
door.

"Baby, I really don't want to go to school," Paul was still complaining, I was
starting to regret even volunteering my car to them.

"Paul, please! God! We've got to do this. Stop being a baby!" I laughed under my
breath; he was getting on her nerves. She looked at Kendall, "Tell your daddy to stop
being a baby, that's your job!" Kendall laughed.

We arrived to the school in three vehicles, my silver Volvo, Emmett's jeep and
Alice's yellow Porsche.

We didn't say anything as people walked in and out of the office with the 'who are
they' looks across their faces/ the main office. Carlisle and Esme were escorted back into
the counselor's office.

"We should get at least a good eight years out of this place," I noted, thinking
about how long it would take Nessie to graduate college.

"So I'm 17," Dana said as she handed Kendall to Paul and pulled out her new ID,
in walked two girls, no doubt about it, they were related, both of them blondes, thin and
tall, sharing the exact same pointy noses and blue eyes.

"Man, it is hot in this school," as soon as those word escaped her lips, every last
one of us started opening and pealing off our outer layers, she looked at us strangely.
"Oh! You must be the Cullen's," she looked around admiring the men. "I'm Catherine,
student body president."

"I'm Rosella," the next girl said to her. "Her younger sister," her eyes also
admiring the men.

"Oh my gosh! What are your names, no need to be shy," she smiled.

"I'm Edward, this is Bella," they shook our hands.

"Hummy," one of them thought, I smiled.

"I'm Emmet, this is Rosalie."

"Oooo, I think I like," I coughed.

"I'm Nessie and this is my Jacob," she beamed.

"Jeez, where did these men fall from?"

"And I'm Dana and this is Paul and Kendall."

"This should be an interesting year," Catherine said aloud this time, she shook
Dana's hand but her eyes never left Paul.

"What did you say sweetie," the girl didn't respond or even take her eyes off Paul.
"She must want me to kill her."

"Ease up Dana," Nessie walked over to her, and Dana let go of her hand.

"Well, we'll see you guys around," Rosella said as they left.

"Don't need to ask Edward what they were thinking," Bella said, everyone
laughed as Carlisle and Esme came back into the room smiling.

"Well you guys have a wonderful day," Esme walked over and took Kendall from
Paul.

"I got you guys the same lunch," Carlisle beamed, he loved spoiling Nessie as
much as Esme.

"Oh! Thank you Grandpa!" she jumped up and hugged him.

"Grandpa?" the counselor came back into the main office with a confused look on
her face.

"That's an inside joke we share," Carlisle quickly lied.

"Oh!" she smiled. "I'll give you guys a moment," she left, they all looked at me.

"Yeah, she's listening," I whispered.

"I'm sorry," Nessie whispered.

"I worked it out; you all have every class with at least one of your brothers or
sisters."

"How much did it cost you," Rosalie asked.

"Not as much as I was willing to pay," he smiled, they left.

The first class me, Paul, Jacob, Emmet, and Jasper shared, it was auto
class all men except Rosella. She came directly over to our table.

"Hi guys," she said never taking her eyes off Jasper.

"What are you doing in this class," Jacob asked as he sat back in his seat.

"What better way to meet men," I smiled.

"I needed an elective, they stuck me in here," she lied. None of us said a word

"You guys are really cute," she looked at all our faces. "I mean really cute, like
models," we all smiled. We all wore a wedding band except Paul and Jacob, she didn't
look down at our fingers, and I doubt she would have even cared.

"What are your names again," we all recited our names to her.

"It's going to take a minute before I remember but I promise I will know them by
heart," she flirted.

"Rosella," the teacher called. "I believe your seat is up here," she rolled her eyes.

"Nice talking to you guys," she stood, she flipped her hair. "Bye Jasper."

"Looks like trouble in the near future for Jasper," I said, they all laughed.

"I know right," Jacob flipped his hair the way she did, we all laughed louder.

"You too Paul," Jasper said trying to get the attention off of him.

"That girl better watch out before Dana eats her alive."

"Literally," Emmet said. The teacher walked out of the class, Rosella got back up
and started back over towards us.

"She's persistent," I said.

"Watch this Eddie," I looked at her, it was Dana. It took everything for me not to
start laughing. She walked over to Jasper sat on his lap, the whole class was quiet, she
whispered something in his ear and he started laughing. Then she walked over to Paul sat
on his lap and kissed his lips. He pushed her off.

"Dang Paul, that hurt!" she said.

"Dana?" she gave him a look.

"No my name is Rosella," she smiled; she sat back in the same seat.

"Nessie and Alice were bugging me to come and see what you guys were doing,"
she swayed back and forth in her seat.

"Damn Jasper, she really wants you," she rolled her eyes in the back of her head.
"I don't know how she controls it, I damn near want to throw you on the table and destroy
you," she smiled. "Anyway, I'm here with a message, that I will be watching you guys…..
I got to get out of this body."

"Dana are you going to tell Alice," Jasper asked.

"Yes, you know I can't lie to her. I'll make it sound real good for you but you
better watch it."

"What am I going to do with her except, eat her," Dana laughed. "Not that way,"
he grunted.

"Stop crying Jasper."

"Dana, the teacher's coming," she shrugged her shoulders.

"You're going to get her in trouble," she smiled.

"I know."

"C'mon Dana, don't do that," Paul said

"Why not," her smile was so evil. "She shouldn't be feeling this way about a
married man and let me see that her sister even looks at you the wrong way, I'm going to
have her expelled," the teacher came back into the room. "Dang too bad," she whisper,
she walked back to her seat and sat down, Dana left.

"What happen?" Emmet was still laughing.

"She was called back."

"That was funny," Jacob laughed.

"What did she say to you," Paul asked Jasper.

"That she was watching me and would hate to have to beat my ass," they all
laughed.
"She is crazy," Emmet's voice boomed.

"Edward you have to tell us when she's in the room," Paul looked at me causing
all of them to look, now I was stuck between a rock and a hard place choosing between
my brothers and my best friend. I just nodded in agreement and they all smiled.

The rest of my classes weren't as eventful as the first one, my next class,
trigonometry; I had with Bella and Alice. The next one, was home economy, I had that
with Paul, Bella, Rosalie and Jacob. Then there was lunch.

Lunch was like any other lunchroom considering this school held 500 kids top;
we sat at the table in the middle but off closest to the window.

"Ummmm….who are they," we all turned to see a blonde hair girl with green eyes
standing there with her lunch tray.

"Hi, I'm Reneesme Cullen but everyone calls me Nessie and this is my family,
we're new here…."

"Oh! That explains it," she laughed a menacing laugh, she snapped her finger, and
the girl to her left took her tray.

"Is she for real," Dana asked rolling her eyes and turning back around.

"I know right," Rosalie agreed as Emmet moved closer to her, the sound of his
seat made her move and attention to him.

"Oooo," she purred looking at Emmet. "Fresh meat," she said in a low voice, her
eyes went around the table, and stopped again on Emmet.

"He's married," Rosalie said.

"I won't tell if you won't," her eyes still on Emmet, Rosalie stood.

"That's enough," I stood; I knew it was time to interfere before things got too far.
Emmet stood; he wrapped his arms around her waist and kissed her lips softly.

"Oh yeah! Back to the subject at hand. You guys are in our seats," I heard Dana
growl next to me, I grabbed her hand.

"She's starting to get on my nerves."

"Since this is your first day, I will let it pass but after this, this will not be
tolerated," she looked at all of us.

"She wants us to move now," I said, Bella stood

"Sit down Bella," Alice said, she wasn't about to move, as a matter of fact none of
them were.

"She was serious," Dana finally spoke, she laughed, soon the entire table joined.

"I'd like to see her try and move us," Alice said.

"Nessie how was your first day of school," Bella asked, trying to calm the
situation.

"Wonderful!" she started taking them through her classes one by one.

"This isn't over by a long shot," she walked away with her click. Paul played in
Dana's hair until the bell rang.

"What's your next class," Paul asked.

"Gym," Dana, Bella, Emmet, and Jasper all said together.

"English III," I answered.

"Me too," he said.

"Wish we could trade," Dana poked out her bottom lip, he kissed her. "I hate
gym”

"Yeah, me too," Bella agreed.

The next class, we were studying Romeo and Juliet, Paul was dozing in and out
when 'they' walked in, a group of six of them this time.

"So you're name is Edward," a red haired girl spoke to me.

"Yeah," I elbowed Paul, he woke up, and Catherine was in the mix with these
females.

"I'm Tanya."

"Hi Paul," Catherine blushed, he barely waved her off.

"So we're having this party, invite only and we're inviting you guys," the blonde
with green eyes spoke; who I later found out was Angel.

"I'll see if my girl wants to come," we had to call them girlfriends because we
were technically too young to get married.

"Invite only!" she thought. I looked at the invite June 17, 2022.

"This isn't until the end of the school year."

"I know," she smiled. "Only VIPs get an invite this early. Now you guys have
time to talk your girlfriends into coming."

"It'll be fun," she said as she rolled her eyes.

"Paul you get an invite too," Catherine handed the card to him.

"Yeah, I doubt my girl is going to want to come but we shall see," she smiled as
they walked away.

"Why do I feel like there is about to be a storm," Paul said as he laid his head
back down on the desk.

My final class was a double period of Economy, I thought I knew no one in this
class until Dana walked in fifteen minutes late.

"Hey Edward," she smiled as she took the seat next to me.

"Why are you smiling?"

"Oh nothing," she was hiding something.

"Come on! Tell me!"

"A couple of guys asked us out on a group outing, Jacob heard them somehow
and flipped" I laughed as she replayed the memory in her mind. I was happy to be able to
spend my last two periods with Dana she was wonderful, really. It felt like every since we
moved to Alaska, we hadn't had anytime for each other but now here we were. Every
Monday through Friday for a hundred and two minutes. I started looking forward to our
time together. Days passed, days turned into weeks, weeks into months. Three months
into our time, Dana and I were sitting in the classroom and she came into the classroom.

"What is it like to have sex with a werewolf," I had been wondering this for a
while, she started laughing.

"What?" the teacher hushed her.

"What's it like."

"What's it like to have sex with a vampire."

"You never," she shook her head

"Never."

"You first," I couldn't help but watch the memory play in her head.

"It's amazing, rough. It's hard not to bite him at times but I love it," she looked at
me.

"It's about the same but I can bite her, be as rough as I want or as gentle as I want
and not have to worry about destroying her”

"Sounds like fun," she shrugged her shoulders and looked down at the piece of
paper, a student had passed around.

"Does the smell get to you?"

"Use to but not really anymore," I was quiet, taking in what she had just said,
watching the memory I had made her think about.

"You ever think about having sex with me."

"All the time," I whispered.

"Me too but we can't act on it."

"We can't?” she hit me in the head.

"No we can not” she shook her head.

"I love you Dana”

"I love you too but I've been in your body, I know how you feel about Bella and I
doubt anything can destroy that, and I don't want to hurt Bella. I love her," she was
sincere.

"I know, just a nice thought."

"Isn't it. You're still the most beautiful vampire I've ever seen" I smiled.

"Thank you."

"Besides, I couldn't be with you in that way," she laughed. "If you were bad I
couldn't lie about it," that made me laugh.
"Please," she grabbed my hand.

"Bella's a lucky girl," I squeezed her hand.

"So is, Paul," she smiled.

"He is, isn't he," she smiled; we talked as we exit the classroom.

School, was pretty cool in my eyes. I had never been to school with brothers and
sisters; actually I've never had brothers and sisters. It felt pretty good. When I walked into
my third period class, there was Nessie we shared computer science together, I sat in my
normal seat next to Neese, we were the only two back there. I looked at the computer
screen and turned it on. The teacher went into a lecture.

"Dana, I think I want to go out on a date," Nessie said to me, I didn't even listen to
her because she had to be losing her mind. "Did you hear
me Dana," still I said nothing. "Dana!" she yelled causing the entire class to look
our way.

"Nessie, shhh," I smiled apologetically to the classroom. "Yes I heard you but I
was hoping I was hearing wrong," I looked around. "Did you forget that you are a
vampire," I whispered.

"No, I didn't," she whined. "But because I'm a vampire, I can't go out on a date
with a human," I rolled my eyes at her.

"That's the exact reason why, Nessie."

"Dana, please," she begged.

"Why are you saying please to me? I'm not your mother or father," I knew what
was coming.

"But you and my dad are really close, I know they will trust me to go if you come
with me," I turned to her.

"You want me to come and watch you on a date, are you serious!"

"No Dana, I want you to come with me on a double date."

"You want Paul to come?"

"Not exactly…."

"Oh no!" I said

"Please Dana; you know if Paul comes he's just going to tell Jacob everything!"

"No Nessie, you are not getting me to go out with some humans! No way!" I was
getting loud. "You're too young to be dating anyway."

"Please! I've got a year or two tops left of me being a teenager before I become a
grown woman."

"What exactly am I suppose to do! Watch you guys eat! No thank you!"

"Oh Dana please," I rubbed my temples

"Why are you asking me?"

"Because you're the only one who sees me as a person instead of a little girl and
you're my best friend."

"Nessie what about Jacob?" I was trying to find one reason not to do this, one
reason she wouldn't go through with this.

"What about him, he's who I'm going to marry but I want to go out at least once,"
I shook my head.

"Why are you doing this to me Nessie," she smiled.

"Thank you Dana," she hugged my neck.

"At least let Jacob take you on your official first date," she turned her head side
ways. "You'll thank me later in life when you understand."

"Okay," she agreed.

"Now I got to deal with your father and mother, great!" I wasn't looking forward
to this.

"Let me show you the guys" she grabbed my arm.

"They're in here?"

"No," she laughed. "They're seniors!!!"

"Um…no! Now Nessie a freshmen for you. Are you trying to get me killed!" she
started to pout. "I don't care about that baby face, I'm not moving on that. A freshman!
That's final!" Nessie didn't know if she wanted to be a grown up or a baby sometimes.
"Fine," she folded her arms and sat back in her seat. Nessie was my best friend no
doubt about it but she really knew how to be a spoiled brat sometimes. "Now I've got to
find us some new dates. Maybe an older brother, younger brother," I rolled my eyes.

"Your daddy is going to flip," I was not looking forward to the next class. "How
about we not go to lunch," she smiled.

"Why not."

"Because your daddy is going to be all in our heads, I'll need to face him and
Bella together in a silent place," she hugged my neck again.

Nessie and I went straight home after we told Bella, Nessie wasn't feeling to well.
Bella wanted to come but Nessie talked her out of coming, complaining that they treat her
like a baby, even though in my eyes she was.

We made it to the house, Nessie went into the kitchen to get something to eat, I
just sat by the door because I knew Edward and Bella would be there at any moment and
as if this was a movie, in they walked hand in hand. I started singing a song in my head.

"Hey love birds!" I smiled.

"Where's Nessie," Edward asked.

"She's in the basement, I need to talk to you guys," they looked at me worried.
"Bella could you shield me, Edward needs not to read my mind," she nodded but still was
confused.

"Ok, you're shielded," I exhaled loudly.

"Ok I'm here because Nessie wanted me to ask you guys something…she wants to
go on a date…." Both of their faces went white.

"She's only four!" Bella yelled. Edward didn't say anything

"Before you guys react, let me finish, I know what you're thinking because I was
thinking the exact say thing. She's too young, was my first thought but how long does she
really have before she's too old to go out as a teenager," Neither one of them said
anything. "I would be going along as a chaperone, but," I rolled my eyes. "I would have
to go like it's a double date. No I don't want to do this but she deserves the most normal
childhood she can have right?"

"What about Jacob?" Bella asked.

"I did make her promise me that her first official date would be with him but she
said she's going to marry Jacob but want the right to a date outside of this house," both of
them looked trapped like they didn't know what to do.

"She's so young," Bella looked like she was pleading with me.

"We don't need an answer now but she will want to know."

"Why didn't she come to us herself?" Edward finally spoke.

"She knew you guys wouldn't listen to her reason."

"We're going to need some time to discuss this," I nodded.

"She does have one request," they both looked at me with pleading eyes. "She
doesn't want to hurt Jacob so could you keep it between the four of us," they both nodded
as I left.

The next person I had to deal with was Paul and I wasn't looking forward to that
either, so I left him a note to meet me in the Ice House the men built when we first got
here, it looked like an igloo because it was made of blocks of ice but it was huge! Paul,
Jasper, Edward, Emmet and Jacob all built it for this exact reason, walking into it looked
like a small home, with one bedroom and small kitchen and living room which had a
giant black piano in it. I was going to have to seduce him first of course, so I found the
sexiest piece of lingerie I owned that he hadn't seen me in already, I left him a note and
told him to meet me here. I waited for him on the bed, I smelled him coming, and I got up
looked in the mirror one last time and laid back in the bed.

I walked into the house, there were candles lit everywhere, the smell of apples
filled the place. I walked into the bedroom and there she was in my favorite color, black,
looking good enough to eat.

"What is all this about," she didn't say anything just smiled. I knew she wanted
something but I was going to wait and see how this played out. She kissed my neck and
that's the last thing I remember until the morning hit.

I woke up and there she was smiling at me through the mirror.

"How long have I been sleep?"

"Ten hours," she laughed.

"What was last night about?"

"Nothing can't a girl show her fiancée how much she loves him."

"Yeah a girl can, but I know you. What's up Dana," she turned.
"Ok… but you have to promise to keep an open mind and to not tell anyone," I
nodded. "Nessie wants to go on her first date," she stopped talking.

"Ok, Jacob should be really happy," I was still confused.

"That's the thing, she doesn't want to go with Jacob, she wants to go with a
human," she turned to me. I was shocked.

"Poor Jacob."

"He doesn't know and you can't tell him!" I shrugged my shoulders.

"Okay, but I still don't understand what that has to do with you," she bit her
bottom lip.

"Well….you see…"

"Dana, spit it out already!"

"Okay, well she wants me to come on as a chaperone like on a double date."

"Ok so she wants us to go with them?"

"I didn't say us…" she stood. "She wants me to go with a human," she didn't look
too happy but I wasn't going to stand for this.

"No!" I shook my head.

"Paul, if I don't go Bella and Edward won't let her go."

"She doesn't need to go anyway! Jacob loves that girl to death! Now she's trying
to drag you into this bull!"

"Paul it's not like I'm going to enjoy this."

"How do I know that?"

"All I'm going to want to do is eat one of them, that's all you have to worry
about," she was pleading with me.

"I need some time to think about it Dana," I got up; she walked over and kissed
my cheek.

"Thank you Paul, because you know if the shoe was on the other foot, I wouldn't
even consider it," I laughed.
"Yeah, I know."

Dana and Paul made it back to the house, the memory from the night before still
fresh in his mind, and the one from that morning in hers, I really didn't like that I could
see things like that. Paul went upstairs and she came into the living room with me.

"That was not fair," she looked at me confused.

"What's not fair?"

"What you did to Paul” she smiled.

"So did it work?”

"I don't know, he's thinking about following you," I laughed. "Actually that isn't a
bad idea."

"No! Give your daughter this, you don't want to lose her trust” I knew she was
right but the father in me didn't want to believe that. "If it'll make you happy, I'll text you
everything that's going on," that didn't sound as good as my plan but it would give me a
little ease.

"You would do that," Bella walked into the room, Dana smiled at her.

"Of course I would, I don't know what I would do if Kendall comes up to me in

four years talking about he wants to go on a date," as a parent she could only understand
what we were going through but as Nessie's best friend, she had to have sympathy with
her situation.

"How are we going to do this around Jacob?" Bella asked she was worried about
her friend.

"We'll just tell him me and Nessie are having a girl's day out," both of us nodded.
"Where's Nessie anyway."

"Out with Jacob."

"Jeez! She doesn't waste anytime! I hope Jacob shows her the time of her life."

Nessie walked into my room late that night, Paul was asleep and I was holding
Kendall.

"Hey Dana," she whispered, I smiled, and laid Kendall in his crib.
"Hey," I walked out the door, together we went downstairs. "How was your first
date," she rolled her eyes.

"It was horrible! Everything that could have gone wrong did! I mean look at my
outfit," I did notice the red spilled on the bottom of it.

"Tell me everything!" She placed her hand to my face.

"I'm sorry sir but we are over book, we gave your tables away."

"What!" Jacob yelled he grabbed the man's collar. Nessie put her hand through his
arm and kissed his cheek. It seemed as if his anger eased with that kiss.

"Its okay Jay, we can wait or go to the show before we eat," he was still upset,
you could see it in his face but he let go of the man and together they went to sit down.

"We will comp your dinner sir. We are truly sorry," he didn't seem pleased.

"At least we get a free dinner," Nessie smiled.

"I was trying to make this night perfect for you and it's already off to a bad start,"
she smiled.

"Jay, when have we ever been together and not had a good time. Don't make me
bite you," he smiled.

"Okay okay," he reached down for her hand, she took his willingly. Once they did
finally make it to the table, it was going good, candle light dinner, soft elegant music
playing in the background.

"Nessie you are really beautiful tonight…not that you aren't beautiful ever
night…you…" he stuttered.

"Jay, why are you so nervous, it's me!" Nessie laughed. "We've spent everyday
together for all of my life, it's me."

"But tonight, I see you in a different light, tonight…you're a young woman

instead of my little Nessie," she blushed.

"Oh Jacob!" Their dinners arrived; Nessie and Jacob both had a cranberry juice to
go along with their meals. They had small talk about everything that was going in school
and how much they missed Forks.

"Can I kiss you Nessie," that question took her by surprise; he never made any
advances at her before. She felt as if she lost her voice, so she just nodded, he rose up
from the table and walked over to her; he kneeled down to her eye level and kissed her. It
was Nessie's first kiss and it was so beautiful, so innocent, so peaceful, it was everything
and more she dreamt of her first kiss begin like. He sat next to her and by the time it was
time for them to go, the waiter seemed to be disgusted but neither one of them care, he
started to clear the table and made a mistake and some how juice flew all over the both of
them, dishes fell, everyone in the restaurant stared at them.

"Nessie are you okay, are you hurt?"

"No, I'm fine, what about you," she stood up and there it was all over her white
pants, their two drinks she saw Jacob get angry again.

"Let's just go Jacob," she took his hand and together they walked out, she just
about had to drag him but she knew if she didn't get him out now, he would leave and
that in turn would cause all type of hell. There just drove around for a few minutes in
complete silence, while Jacob cooled down. He stopped at a lake, which was frozen and
looked as if it had been frozen for a long time.

"Do you still want to go to the movies," he asked her.

"No," he started the car.

"I'll just take you home, I am really sorry about this," she smiled as she turned off
the car.

"I didn't say I wanted to go home either," she leaned over and kissed him. Nessie
took her hand from my face.

"You don't need to see the rest of that," she smiled, I couldn't help but laugh
because it reminded me of my very first date, a few seconds later, she joined in.

"Promise me if you guys decide to have sex."

"Sex! Dana please," I smiled.

"Nessie even if you don't need to hear this now, listen. Use a condom," she made
a face. "Promise me Ness."

"I promise," she shook her head; I forgot just how young she was sometimes.

"Okay back to your most horrible date," she smiled

"You want to know something," she looked at me.

"What?"
"I wouldn't have changed a thing about it. That was the best day of my life," she
pranced up the stairs and I just stayed downstairs smiling at her.

"Teenagers,” I thought. I just sat for a moment when I heard Kendal crying, I ran
upstairs and got him and ran back downstairs.

"What are you crying about," I stood him on the floor, he laughed. I laughed at
his. He took a step, that gave me an idea I left him standing where he was and before I
knew it, he was walking; he took two steps before he fell onto my arms. YEA! Mommy's
baby!" I squealed.

"That was great to see!" I turned to see Jacob standing there, Jacob looked
distressed.

"Hey Jacob," I smiled as I sat down and he followed suit but he didn't say
anything. "Ok, what's wrong," I looked at him. "Jacob…what is it?"

"She must really hate me for ruining her first date," he looked so pitiful, I almost
wanted to laugh.

"She doesn't hate you Jacob," I smiled sweetly.

"Yes she does."

"Jacob, my first date went worst than that and you know what like Nessie said, I
wouldn't change it for the world," he smiled. "She love every moment of it even when
you were messing up."

"Thanks Dana," he yawned.

"Go to bed Jacob, Nessie loves you."

"She does!" He smiled, was he really this blind.

"Of course she does! Don't be stupid," he walked away slowly but he walked up
the stairs.

Days after her date with Jacob, she was already on the hunt for her humans, it
made me sick to think about going on a date with something I could eat and probably
really enjoy. I walked into my first class; I shared with Bella, and Alice. It was an ACT
prep class. I walked in they were both laughing and joking.

"You don't look to happy," Alice laughed, Bella joined in.

"I don't like you guys."

"What's the matter, you don't want to go out with the human," Alice joked.

"Okay when I eat him, we are going to see whose laughing," all of us laughed
together. "I really wish there was a way around this."

"You guys are going to go, Nessie is going to pick you guys some really cute
humans and you guys are going to have the most fun Nessie's every had," I put my head
down.

"Poor Jacob," both Bella and I said together.

"She's going to hate it," at first none of us said anything and then all of a sudden
we all started laughing.

"That's what she gets," I laughed. We all talked and joked the rest of the class.

"Alice," she looked at me.

"Is Jacob going to find out," Bella looked at her to; I know she wanted to know
the answer.

"He already does," I shook my head.

"Poor Jacob," Bella said. "I'm going to talk to him," we made our way to the
classroom.

"Maybe that isn't the wisest idea, let Nessie do it."

"The question is, will she," I asked.

"She will, in her own time."

"I have to say something to him," Bella said, neither I nor Alice said anything. I
would say something to Edward too.

"Let me know how it goes," she nodded.

It was the very next week when Nessie told me she had found our candidates. I
decided on a white long sleeve shirt, with a vest that had fur on the outside with no
sleeves. A pair of black jeans and some long snow boots that matched my vest. I had on
some diamond embedded hoops. Nessie had on a tight red shirt and some matching blue
jeans. Her hair was pinned up she really looked beautiful, she wore her locket and some
diamond studs. They picked us up on time; Paul was at the door with Kendall in his arms.
Jacob was off running; Edward, Carlisle, Emmet and Paul were also there. The looks on
their faces were priceless. The two guy's names were Carlos and Will. Carlos was my so
call date and Will was hers. Carlos was a senior, he had to be 6 feet even, and he was
light skinned with a ponytail down his back. He was good looking, no denying that; he
wore his basketball jacket and a pair of old jeans. Then there was Will, his younger
brother, who was a freshmen, he too wore a ponytail and a basketball jacket also, the only
difference between the two of them was that Will was shorter.

"Hi, I'm Carlisle," he extended his hand to them.

"I'm Carlos and this is my little brother Will," he shook his hand.

"How do you do, sir," the smell of Will was stimulating, I had just hunted a few
hours ago for this exact reason, and I also had a small plastic container of blood in my
purse just in case. I knew I was being over the top but I didn't want to cause any
problems.

"These are Dana and Nessie's adopted big brothers," he went down the line.
"Edward, Emmet, Paul and Jaspers," none of them said anything.

"Excuse them, they're very protective of the girls," Esme walked down the stairs
with Bella, Rosalie, and Alice. I heard Edward snarled. The boys must have been
thinking some naughty thoughts, not that I could blame them; the four of them coming
down the stairs looked like models.

"We understand we have two younger sisters. We don't let boys within a mile of
them," Carlos said.

"But you two come within miles of our sisters," Jasper said.

"You know what, I think its time we go," I said, if I didn't interfere now, there's
no telling where this would lead.

"What time should we have them back?"

"Ten o'clock," Edward answered quickly, they didn't listen, and they just looked
at Carlisle.

"I agreed ten o'clock seems fair."

"Even for Dana," Carlos looked me up and down; I looked at Paul as he handed
Kendall to Esme.

"Be cool Paul," I put my hands up. "We'll meet you guys outside," they both
nodded as they exited the house.

"I don't want you to go," Paul said.

"I have to agree," Edward spoke to Nessie.

"Paul don't do this to me," Nessie pleaded. I kissed his lips.

"You really don't have anything to be worried about, unless you're worried about
me eating Will," I laughed, and he smiled. I kissed him one more time. "I'll be back
before you miss me," we walked out the door and I heard him say.

"But I miss you already."

"You owe me so big!" she took my arm and we got into their car, Nessie got into
the back seat and I sat in the front seat, as we took off, I looked out the corner of my eyes
and saw a big black shadow running towards us at top speed, it was Jacob.

"EDWARD GET JACOB HE'S COMING AT US FAST!!!" I knew he heard me

because not more than a second later, we heard a low thud then a howling sound, I turned
the music up to drown out his wailing.

"Sounds like a wolf in pain," Carlos said. I looked back at Nessie; she didn't even
make eye contact with me, just stared blankly out the window.

"Are you okay," Will asked Nessie.

"She loves wolves; she hates to hear one in pain," I quickly lied, Will put his arm
around her.

"I'm sure its ok he said reassuringly. We ended up at an arcade; it was jammed

pack with kids. Good thing I liked to play video games. I would have to bring Emmet and
Jasper here to whip their asses in laser tag.

"They have laser tag! I said aloud.

"Yeah, you're a fan?" Carlos smiled.

"Are you kidding me? I love laser tag, I'm going to have to bring my brothers up
here and whip some ass."

"Oooo, big talk well around here. I'm the king, you see," He pointed upwards and
sure enough his name was up there posted.

"Be prepared to lose your title," he smiled.

"Such big talk for such a cute girl. I hope you don't break a nail," I laughed.

"You know I'm really going to hate to take this title from you, oh wait! No I'm
not!!!" he laughed, we headed to the line for laser tag when Catherine approached.

"What are you doing here," she looked at Carlos, he didn't answer didn't even
look up.

"We're here looking after our younger siblings."

"Did I ask you?"

"What did you say to me?"

"I said did I ask you," she took a step closer to me.

"Listen here Catty, I'm trying to be nice to you but if you don't back up out my
face, I'm going to break that nose of yours," I took a step closer to her.

"I'm not scared of you Ms. Cullen."

"Well you should be," I folded my arms across my chest.

"You know Paul never told me if he was going to come to my party, guess it
never comes up in our talks in English."

"Catty, if you're smart you'll walk away, I really don't want to hurt you well yes I
do. You should walk away," she rolled her eyes.

"Carlos lets go," he looked at me.

"After this game Catty” I laughed. "I mean Catherine," she huffed and stormed
away.

"You're going to be in trouble," I made fun of him

"Most likely," he just shrugged it off. "You ready to get demolished."

"Enough talk," my phone vibrated.

"How's everything going," it was a text from Edward.

"She looks miserable, she heard Jacob. How is he by the way," I closed the phone.

"Was that Paul?" I looked at him.

"Nosey aren't you," he laughed. "But no that's Edward my best friend/adopted

brother. He's worried about Nessie."
"You know for those to be your adopted brothers, they are very protective."

"We are all we have," I looked at him.

"Dana, I think Nessie's sick," I looked at her; she didn't look well, I walked over
to her.

"What's wrong Nessie?" she looked in my face and I knew exactly what it was but
I had to be sure, I leaned my ear towards her mouth.

"I need to get home to Jacob," my phone went off.

"Can you guys bring the car around," Carlos nodded.

"I'll carry her," before I could say no, she was in the air, I grabbed her purse, I
opened my phone.

"He left."

"Neese isn't feeling well; we're on our way home. Try to have him back…she'll be sick if you
don't," I closed my phone and we rode home.

"What a waste of time."

"I guess I'll have to get you in the chamber another time," I just smiled at him
because there was no way; I was going out with him again.

By the time we made it outside, everyone was outside waiting, everyone but Paul
and Jacob. Will escorted her into Edward's arms. I thanked them for the evening, Carlos
looked reluctant to leave but what other choice did he have. He waved goodbye and
followed suit.

Once we made it inside, Bella looked at Dana and said.

"I knew this was a bad idea! You don't touch her just leave her alone. It's your
fault, she has to go through this!" she was blaming Dana, she snarled at her

"I was only trying to be her friend instead of treating her like she's not growing at
a rapid velocity," They all looked at her; Bella walked over and slapped her.

"Don't you talk like you know her?!"

"Bella, I understand you are upset but if you hit me again, I will kill you."

"That's enough Dana!" I yelled, she cut her eyes at me and went up the stairs.
"Bella, that was mean. It wasn't her fault," Alice said but none of us didn't
anything no one followed her, even though it was Jasper who wanted to, he was the one
who finally did take the step towards the stairs. I felt bad that it wasn't me; after all she
was my best friend. He didn't speed he took regular steps, going up each stair one by one.
I listened for Dana thoughts but heard nothing so I figured she was projecting, Nessie
didn't say anything she just laid there thinking of how she hurt Jacob so much. Bella
looked at me,

"She's fine Bella, she really needs to be alone," I said as Jasper came back
downstairs.

"Dana left," he looked at Alice.

"I can't see her, she must have not decided where she wants to go," they looked at
me.

"Tell Paul, I'll find him," I shook my head.

"All, I can hear from her is tell Paul, I'll find him," the entire room went quiet, as
Rosalie shook Nessie by her shoulders. She opened her eyes.

"Where's Jacob," she asked.

"He went with Dana and Paul to her hometown," Emmet lied quickly.

"Dana left?" we nodded. "Why," no one answered.

"She's going to come back soon," was all I could hope for.

"What about Jacob."

"I never left," she looked at him and started to cry. He took her in his arms. "You
know I can't stand to be too far away from you."

"I think they need to be alone," I got up as I followed the rest of the family; we
ended up in the basement.

"I didn't mean for Dana to leave," Bella pleaded with me, I was mad she left but I
couldn't stay mad at Bella.

"How are we going to find her," Jasper sat down, Alice on his lap; she was trying
to calm him.

"I didn't mean to come off so mean," Bella said in a low voice.
"Jasper!" Alice yelled. "Lets go to our room," he was about to hit the roof.

"Bella we know it wasn't your fault, you needed somebody to blame," Rosalie
said. Carlisle and Esme came downstairs, I was still having
mixed feelings about this, I still couldn't believe Dana had actually left.

"What's going on?" Carlisle asked.

"What's wrong with Uncle Jasper," Nessie asked as her and Jacob came in too.

"I thought Paul was with you Jacob," Emmet asked.

"He was, Dana met us and they left."

"Did she say anything?"

"Yeah, that it was time for them to go."

"Go where," Esme asked.

"What's happening," Nessie asked.

"I'll tell them” Bella thought, I shook my head.

"When you came in," she looked at Nessie. 'I didn't know what to think, I had to
blame someone, so I blamed Dana."

"What did you do," Nessie asked, her voice trembling.

"It happened so fast, I hit her, she threaten me then Edward yelled at her then she
left. I'm sorry Nessie I know she was your best friend."

"Don't talk like she's never coming back,” Esme said.

"She wouldn't leave without saying goodbye to me," Nessie said.

"She'll be back if only for that reason she know she owes you, Jasper and Esme
the proper goodbyes," that was all I could say, I don't know if the reality of the situation
hadn't hit me yet or if I would even care.

"Why'd you have to hit her," Nessie scream. "She was my only friend, who I
could be myself with," she was screaming at Bella. "Now I have no one!" Nessie zoomed
away, Bella started after her but I stopped her.

"Give her some time, Jacob you go," he nodded and took off, once he was
outside, I knew he would have to transition in order to keep up with her.
Two weeks had passed and no one had heard anything from Dana, or Paul. Nessie
still wasn't talking to Bella and vowed that she wouldn't until Dana returned so that's why
I'm here; Jasper and I are out searching for her. We are in New Zealand now, its night
outside but I heard her thoughts a few minutes ago.

"Why are you two following me," she came up behind us. Jasper rushed into her
arms and hugged her.

"Don't you ever leave like that especially without saying goodbye to me," she
smiled.

"Excuse me, you are not my father," she smiled.

"Bella didn't mean anything," I spoke; she didn't even look at me.

"I know it was a mistake but you see I'm not one to forgive so easily," she wasn't
going to make this easy.

"Nessie and Esme are worried sick, you are coming home with us,” she laughed at
Jasper.

"And who do I suppose is going to make me," just then Paul arrived with Kendall
on his back. Even though it was only been two weeks, Kendall looked to be a year older.

"Hey fellas," Paul nodded.

"Would you so kindly tell your mother that Grandma Esme misses you and so
does Godma Nessie," Jasper talked to Kendall.

"Mommie," Kendall pleaded, she looked at me.

"You guys go ahead I'll follow I need to speak with Edward," Paul kissed her
cheek then looked at me.

"Good luck,"

"We're going home?"

"I can't say no to him," she smiled beautifully at Kendall.

"Hold on tight son," Paul transition and took off.

"I know you won't run off without Kendall," Jasper kissed her cheek. "I'll see you
back at home,"
"Why did you come?" her eyes burning a hole into me. "And do me a favor of not
to lie to me because, I'll just project into you and see the truth," how could I lie now, it's
like she knew. She knew I would lie before I even thought of the lie.

"Reneesme hasn't talked to Bella since you left, she blames Bella for you
leaving," Dana rolled her eyes.

"She should."

"Dana don't be like that," She rolled her eyes.

"You know what's most difficult to swallow, you blamed me too. You didn't come
back for your best friend you came back to fix your problems for your wife. She couldn't
be woman enough to face me on her own," I snarled.

"Don't talk bad about my wife."

"Nobody told you to read my thoughts," she took off running, I caught up to her
quickly, I grabbed her arm.

"Dana, don't make things more complicated than they already are," she yanked
away from me.

"You and your wife better learn to keep your hands off of me!" she kicked me
into a tree and took off but this time I didn't follow her because, I knew she was losing
control.

By the time I made it back Paul, Jasper, Kendall and Edward were there. I was
fighting two demons within myself. One I didn't want Nessie not to talk to her mother on
the account of me, but on the other hand, I did want Bella to suffer but the mother side of
me had won that battle before I was out of New Zealand. I walked through the door.

"Dana!" Nessie was the first one to spot me; she ran over to me and hugged my
neck tightly.

"Jeez Nessie, if I didn't know any better I'd have to say you missed me."

"I did! Don't ever leave me like that. I almost died," I smiled at her.

"I have to talk to you later," I whispered in her ear. Esme was next; she was
displeased with me I know.

"I'm sorry Esme," I put my head down.

"Don't you ever take Kendall away from me like that. I was beyond troubled!" I
didn't raise my head.

"I'm sorry," she handed Kendall to Nessie, walked over and wrapped her arms
around me.

"Don't you leave here again," I nodded. "I need more than a nod, promise me," I
bit my tongue.

"I promise," I meant that more than I intended to. Every one said there hellos until
I got to Bella, she just looked at me. "Nessie put Kendall down, he can walk," she put
him down. He walked to Esme. I held my hand out for Ness and the other for Bella, at
first they just looked at my hand but grabbed them at the same time.

"Ness, this is your mother, nobody is worth the relationship you have with her.
You will always have me no doubt about it but this is your mother," I placed their hands
together. "Don't you ever let me hear that you let anybody come between the bond you
two have. The things you take for granted."

"I don't take things for granted," she cried.

"Yes you do and I only say this because I love you but you do, you will have your
mother forever, what I would give to see my mother just one more time," she was crying.
I looked at Bella. "I think she needs a hug," I smiled and she smiled back.

"Thank you," I wanted to tell her to save it but I just smiled and walked away.
Edward started towards me.

"Don't take another step towards me," he didn't listen; he was still coming
towards me. I looked around.

"I'm going up to the room. I'll be right back down, I need to change."

"You better not follow me," I knew he would but I was hoping he wouldn't
because I was still uneasy. I walked upstairs, my room was in the exact mess I left it, I
laughed it was like they knew I was coming back, I knew I would be back. I laughed at
the thought. I started cleaning the room, clothes were everywhere, I knew I could be done
with this in minutes but for some reason I took my time cleaning.

"Thank you," I turned and he was sitting on my bed.

"What makes you think I did that for you," he laughed.

"I know you didn't but still thanks are due," I rolled my eyes.

"No need I got that from sum movie I saw," I was waiting for him to leave but he
stood there. "Ok its time for you to remove yourself from my room," I was
breathing loudly.

"I don't care if you hurt me Dana," he laughed. "You can't hurt me."

"Wish I could say the same," god damn, I didn't want to think that. He smiled but
his eyes read something different.

"I never wanted to hurt you Dana."

"It's fine, I don't care Edward. You're forgiven, is that what you wanted to hear," I
was trying to say whatever it took for him to leave but he didn't budge.

"Dana, you've got to look at it from my point of view."

"Edward there's nothing to look at really. She's your wife, Nessie's your daughter.
I have no right to be angry right."

"But you are and I understand why you are," I just looked at him. "Dana, don't
you understand where I'm coming from," I didn't look at him, I didn't want to hear his
voice.

"I don't want to understand Edward!" I took a step towards the door, but I would
have to past him and I didn't want to chance him touching me causing me to snap.

"I love you Dana with your stubborn self, don't you hear me when I say that to
you," I looked for another exit route; this wasn't what I had came back for. I looked at the
window and jumped, I heard him yell my name but I was already gone.

I didn't know if I should follow, I knew she would be back but I had to talk to her
in private so I jumped out the window, I followed her scent because there was no trace of
her in my view. Her scent led me to our Ice House, we had built, and she was standing a
few feet ahead of it. I didn't take a step closer to her instead I went inside and came back
out with the piano, I sat it down close to her, I knew Dana loved music and if she
wouldn't listen to my words, I knew she would hear the music, I started playing, she
never turned to me instead she removed her jacket, she stood on her toes and started
dancing. She moved her body like it belong in this rhythm, like she had come with on her
own. I was intrigued almost hypnotized but that didn't stop me from playing once one
song ended I started with the next one. She ended on the ground and stopped moving
completely, it looked as if she had stopped breathing.

"Dana," I called, still she didn't move, I kneeled beside her and touched her back
softly, and she looked up at me. "You dance beautifully."

"Thank you for that," she stood.

"No thank you. I had no idea you could even dance."

"I went to school when I was younger,"

"Dana let me say this," she looked up at me. "Dana you've helped me realize
something that has seem to be turned off in my life, I'm so madly in love with Bella it’s
indescribable. She sets..."

"Your soul," she finished my statement, I didn't realize until then that I now
consider myself to have a soul and who was to thank for that no one but my Bella.

"My soul....my soul on fire. You know our life story. You know how I hurt her
when I left, you know how she hurt me when she kissed Jacob but you also know how we
forgave each other. How happy we are now. I thank you Dana, some part of me had
forgotten about this," she looked at me and smiled. "I didn't realize it until just now but I
love Bella more, I love her more than ever right now. Bella and Nessie complete me,
there was something about you and I still can't explain that attracts me to you but I want
you to be my friend, my best friend nothing more, nothing less" she looked at me,
thought nothing and said nothing. "Say something Dana," she jumped into my arms.

"Thank you," she whispered in my ear. "That's what I need in my life, a friend no
more no less" together we walked back home.

As things went back to normal, I had ran into Catherine countless of times and she
tried every time to let it be known about her talks with Paul, at first it didn't bother me but
now it was getting annoying and under my skin to the up most. I walked into my class
that I shared with Edward, I tried my best not to think of what was bothering me but it
just wouldn't get out of my head.

"No Dana," Edward said when I sat down next to him.

"No what?"

"Do not project into her."

"Why not?"

"You promised Paul that you would just talk to him when things like this came
up."

"You know I really hate you sometimes," he smiled.

"Just ask him Dana, that way you won't feel bad."

"But what if he lies," he placed his hand on my back.

"That's where your trust for him has to play its part," I put my head on the desk.

"You wouldn't let him hurt me?" I felt so weak to even let those words escape my
lips.

"No, I'll always protect your heart," I looked up at home sweetly. "Everybody
needs a little protecting sometimes Dana, even a powerful vampire like yourself."

"Thank you Eddie. I know there are things you know and don't want to tell me
because you don't want interfere but thanks for everything you've done for me. There's no
telling where I'd be if I hadn't met you and your family," he smiled and kissed my cheek.

"It's my pleasure."

By the time I made it home, my head was back to spinning about this chats, I
could barely drive thinking about it. Nessie and Paul rode with me and they both kept
asking me if I was alright, I never answered though, I couldn't. When we did make it
home, they got out the car and I told them I'd be in soon but I had no intentions on going
inside I needed to be alone to think so I started to walk, I walked until I was back inside
the town, a string wind blew, I watched as the humans tighten their jackets and coats.

I knew it would be wrong to project into her but I had to know. What if I found
out something I didn't want to know, what if I found out something that would break my
heart but how was it to live in denial. People were starting to stare at me because of my
speed so I slowed down.'

"You know it's below six degrees outside, why are you walking when you have a
truck," I looked over and saw Carlos pull up in his black Mustang.

"Hey Carlos," I smiled.

"Where are you headed?"

"No where," he smiled.

"You want a ride to nowhere?" I looked at his face.

"I don't know if that will be the smartest idea," I said thinking about the smell of
his blood would probably be a little too tempting.

"Come on, what's the worst that could happen?"

"I could kill you," I was serious about that statement but he just smiled.

"I'll take my chances."

"I won't," I started to walk again.

"I'm just going to follow you until I know you safe," I laugh.

"I'm the last person safety you should be worried about."

"Come on Dana."

"Fine," I rolled my eyes and got in the car.

"Now was that so easy," I tried my best not to inhale to deeply.

"You don't know how much danger you're in right now," he just laughed.

"I think I can handle myself," I just shook my head humans were all the same.

"What year is this?"

"A '66, this is my baby."

"Men and their cars, I think every man calls his car his baby."

"I'm surprised you aren't with your body guards," he coughed. "I mean brothers," I
laughed at him.

"They aren't that bad," I smiled as I looked out the window.

"Are you cold?"

"No."

"Why do you always have on the gloves?"

"Because my skin is always cold and I don't want anyone to know" is what I
wanted to say. "My mother made them for me," I looked down at the gloves

"Where do you want me to drive?"

"Doesn't matter just drive but I have to be back."

"Why? Let's just go until I run out of gas."

"No, I have to go back for my son," he hit the brakes.

"Your son, you're only seventeen."

"Whoever heard of a teen mother?"

"Your adopted-parents let you stay even after you got pregnant."

"They're good people," I looked back out the window as he started to drive again.

"STOP!" I yelled as he hit his brakes again.

"What's your problem?"

"Whose dance studio is that?"

"Viola's. You dance?" I didn't answer I just hop out the car and started walking
towards the studio, he called my name but I was already half way there.

There was an old woman inside, her hair completely gray was cut into a short
bob, she looked sad as she stared out the window but pass her was what I wanted, where I
wanted to be. It was a dance studio, it looked familiar to me but I couldn't place it
anywhere in my memory. The floor was hardwood floor, mirrors surrounded the place
and along the mirrors there was a black pole for stretching. The woman saw me and
smiled as I walked to the front door.

"Are you closed?" I asked as she unlocked the door.

"Yes sweetie but if you want to come in, you are more than welcome to come in,"
she looked happy to have a visitor.

"Dana," I heard Carlos call, I looked over at him, and he was running towards us.

"Is that your boyfriend," the old lady smiled sweetly.

"No, we are just friends," I shook my head as he approached.

"I'm Viola," she said as we both came in.

"I'm Dana and this is Carlos," she shook my hand.

"You want to dance?" her voice was so timid.

"Yes but..." I looked at Carlos.

"Go ahead," he removed his coat.

"Do you have any music?" she smiled as she walked into the back.
"You don't have to stay with me," I looked at him again; he just ignored me and
sat in the corner of the floor.

"I think this is your size," she handed me a black leotard and some black tights.
She pointed to the backdoor that read ladies bathroom.

"Thank you," I said as I walked into the backroom. I changed quickly; I left my
gloves on just in case. I looked at myself in the mirror; I didn't have a hair tie for my hair
so it flowed down my back. I heard the music start, I knew the song immediately,
Beethoven Symphony No. 9. I walked outside and Carlos smiled at me, I smiled back.

"Last chance to bail," he shook his head as Viola entered the room.

"I didn't know what kind if music you liked so I played my favorite."

"This is perfect," I looked back at Carlos.

"You really look beautiful."

"Thank you."

"Okay, I'm going to close the door, so you won't be interrupted," Viola said as she
closed the two doors. The music started to play louder; I took one last look out the
window before I closed my eyes. I didn't want to see anything or anyone it was just me
and the music. My thoughts drifted to Kendall before I got completely lost in it and I
smiled to myself.

The music stopped playing that was the only thing that stopped me, I looked into
he corner and there was no one, Viola enter the room, smiling.

"I'm surprised you're not tired," I didn't say anything. There was the sound of
people arguing coming through the doors.

"What's going on?"

"Two attractive young men came in here looking for you," I listened to the voices
and it was Paul and I figured it was Edward who was with them. I walked over to the
door.

"Why are you here with her," I heard Paul yell

"She was walking by herself and I found her. She looked lost and sad."

"She's not your concern."

"Yet," I smiled.
"You know you playing with your life."

"I'm not afraid of you Paul, Dana's special and I know it's only a matter of time
before you mess up just from the look on her face."

"That's enough you two," I walked out. "This is uncaused for really."

"Tell that to your boyfriend," Carlos said.

"I'm not her boyfriend, she's my fiancée," I looked at Carlos.

"Carlos, can you please leave while I talk to me fiancée," I looked at Paul. "Thank
you for today," he smiled as he kissed my cheek, I heard Paul growled.

"It was worth it you dance so sexy," I heard Paul growl. "I'll see you soon." he
grabbed his things and left.

"What are you two doing here," I looked at Paul and Edward.

"We've been looking for you for hours," Paul answered.

"Why didn't you just call?"

"We did," Edward said.

"Oh, I'm sorry," Viola entered the room.

"You are a wonderful dancer; remind me of the good old dance."

"I'll take this home, wash it and return it tomorrow."

"You don't have to do that sweetie."

"I insist."

"Okay," she smiled. I grabbed my things and we walked outside. I looked up at

Paul, his face held mixed emotions.

"What's going on?" I looked into his eyes.

"When the first hour passed and we didn't hear anything from you, I was upset.
Then when the next three passed, I started to lose my mind, my anger went to worry. I
didn't know what happen to you. Do you not know what you are doing to me?"

"I didn't plan to be gone for so long."

"When we found you, when I saw him in the corner watching you. I was so mad,
and then I saw you dancing. I've never saw this side of you; I guess I never cared enough
to pay attention. That was amazing Dana, the look on your face at complete peace. I've
never seen you like this," I didn't know what to say so I said nothing.

"Edward told me what Catherine said to you, I promise you there is nothing. I do
talk to her but about nothing important. She knows I love you more than my next breath,
when I first laid my eyes on you, I had finally understood my reason to live. I never
understood what is my brothers said and felt when the ones the imprinted on but now I
do."

"I'm happy it's Winter Break," Nessie came up to the locker next to Dana's.

"What do you have planned," Dana asked her.

"You know, we're taking that trip to Fork."

"Dang, everybody's going. Paul's taking Kendall to see his mother. You, Jacob,
Bella and Edward are going to Forks also. Alice and Jasper are going to Rome and
Rosalie and Emmet are going to Africa I'm going to be so bored."

"You could always come," Dana cut her eyes at her.

"Naw, it's been a while since I've been by myself. I'm going to play video games
and hunt polar bears," she smiled weakly.

"Dads trying to talk mom out of going."

"You guys need to see Charlie."

"Yeah, we do not him. Grandpa can't stand dad. I'm going to talk to mom."

"Nessie it's really fine."

"Talk to me about what," Bella walked up with Paul.

"You letting Dad stay, so Dana won't be alone for Winter Break."

"You aren't coming to Forks?" Bella asked.

"No."

"Why not," Bella looked at her with sympathy.

"Because, I don't want to be around no werewolves all day, you don't have to
worry about me Bella. I'll house sit," she smiled, Bella didn't look convinced. She walked
over towards me.

"Do you want to stay," I looked at Dana, she shook her head no.

"I will."

"I'll feel bad if we all leave her alone," Bella said.

"Bella, it's not your place to feel bad, it's mine," Paul walked over.

"No one needs to feel bad! Your mom hasn't seen Kendall yet and Edward should
be with his family! Do you people listen; I will be fine by myself."

"Edward's going to stay with you Dana whether you like it or not," Bella said.

"Bella…"

"Your welcome," Dana hugged her.

"Thank you."

I didn't like leaving Dana, but she was so stubborn, once her mind was made up
there was no changing it and she was not about to go to Forks.

"This is hard," she handed Kendall to me.

"I won't let any harm come to him," she looked in my eyes.

"I know but that doesn't make it any easier," the horn blared, she raised her
middle finger up to Jacob, he smiled. She looked at Kendall. "Mommy's going to miss
you. I'll see you in a week."

"Five days," I corrected her. "I owe Edward, I would have barely slept if you were
here by yourself," she smiled.

"Alright, go before I have to rip Jacob's head off," she kissed Kendall's forehead
and my lips. "Go before I not let you leave," I smiled and she kissed me again. Jacob
honked the horn again. "Go," she smiled.

"I love you."

"I love you," she looked at Kendall. "Mommie loves you too," and just like that
we were on the road.
"You two act like you're never going to see each other again," Jacob joked.

"You talk all that mess, but I've never seen you without Nessie," he smiled. "I
thought so," the ride was pretty quiet, we had pulled over now I was driving; Bella was
looking out the window.

"I owe you a thank you” she turned to me.

"Why."

"Because if it wasn't for you, she'd be alone right now," she smiled.

"Dana thanked me a million times already. Not you too."

"How do you feel about their relationship," she shrugged her shoulders.

"It's fine in my eyes, their like little kids when their together."

"You ever threaten by it."

"Never," she looked at me. "You?"

"No, I just wonder sometimes are there things she tells him, she doesn't tell me."

"I'm sure there is like there are things I can talk to Jacob about that I wouldn't
dream about telling Edward. I know I have Edwards heart and from what he tells me, you
have Dana's," she touched my arm.

"I beat you again!" she stood up and did that victory dance again!

"Come on! One more game!" she laughed.

"No, I've beat you twelve times in a row. You don't come back from that."

"Well what are we going to do?"

"Whatever we want," she started to miss Kendall and Paul.

"I'm sure they're fine."

"I know they are I'm half way worried that Paul won't come back…."

"Why! That's impossible you know the whole imprinting thing."

"Yeah but he told me the Leah, Emily and Sam story so bare with me."
"Why would he tell you that," I didn't say it aloud.

"Paul loves you," she laughed.

"As Sam loved Leah," I wrapped my arms around her "You want to know my
most sacred secret," I looked at her as she tried to change the subject

"Yeah."

"I inherited my mother's talent," I blinked my eyes several times.

"You don't even sleep!"

"According to you!"

"When you project," she nodded. "That's amazing."

"Don't tell anybody! Please Edward, I told you because it's only a matter of time
before you knew."

"Wow," that was all I could think to say.

"I don't sleep all the time but yeah when I do, I dream what's going to happen."

"I dreamt that you would be here with me alone. Carlisle and Esme are going to
come down and tell us their going to hunt," Carlisle and Esme came downstairs.

"Hey kids, we're going to go hunting," Edward looked at me.

"Carlisle you're not going to believe this!" my mouth took off before I could stop
it.

"What," his interest was peaked.

"Dana just developed her power to a whole new level," he looked at her. "She
dreams the future," they both looked confused. "I know but she projects into animals and
goes to sleep, then dreams the future she just told me you guys were going to come down
here and say that exact thing!" Carlisle smiled.

"You are truly a powerful vampire. Happy you're on our side," he took Esme's
hand. "When we come back, I would like to discuss this in depth if you don't mind."

"Of course not....you guys be careful," she looked directly at Carlisle, it was like
she said something to him with her eyes and he understood, and they took off. "You talk
so much!" she hit me.
"What."

"I told you not to say anything."

"What's the big deal?"

"Ugh!"

"What!"

"Why didn't you listen," she rolled her eyes. "Carlisle makes me nervous," I
laughed at her.

"Why?"

"He seems too perfect," I laughed, again she rolled her eyes.

"C'mon let's play the game so more, change the subject"

"You were supposed to be stopping this. How about we take a trip around the
world," she stood.

"No, tomorrow. Thanks to you, I have to spend my night talking to Carlisle," she
smiled. "You're staying with me," she grabbed my arm.

"I wasn't planning on leaving," I smiled at her

No matter how hard I tried, I just couldn't sleep I missed Dana so much. I just
needed to look into her eyes.

"From what I heard you miss me," Leah came into my room.

"Leah, get out of my room!" I hissed.

"Leah, who is this Leah you speak of. I'm the vampire you're missing," I looked in
her eyes.

"Dana!" I jumped up.

"Shhh Paul, I'll stay until you fall asleep."

"Why do I have to be quiet?"

"Because, technically I'm a vampire,"

"They can't hurt you," she sat quietly.

"That doesn't mean they won't" I didn't want to argue with her, I just wanted her
to stay, she came and lay beside me. I looked at the clock, it was 3:33. She kissed my
lips, it felt weird. "Would you make love to me in another woman's body," I pushed her
off.

"Hell naw!" I roared. "That's something only for me and my Dana," she smiled.

"I love you Paul," she kissed me again.

"I love you too Dana."

"Go to sleep, I don't know how much longer I can stay up in her body, she so tired
and I do have to put it back."

"You can leave babe, all I needed was to know you were okay," she smiled.

"I'm better than ok. I'll see you soon," she stood. "How's Kendall."

"He's fine, being bad," she smiled.

"That's your son," she looked around my room. "My mom asked for me to keep
him in there for the night," a look of worry spread across her face.

"Don't worry, he's safe," she didn't seem convinced. "Do you want to go and
check?"

"You check, I'm going to put her back," she kissed me. "Kiss Kendall for me."

"Will do," I got up and walked downstairs slowly, I opened the door and saw
Kendall sleeping peacefully. I smiled as I went back to my room.

"How's Paul," she smiled.

"Missing me," she yarned, I looked at her confused. "That mutt was tired," I
laughed at her. "What?"

"You still don't like werewolves but you're in love with one," she laughed. "

I guess that is kind of backwards," she leaned against me. "What can I say, I'm a
complicated person," she got up.

"What?"
"Can you play the piano for me," she followed me to the piano room. I sat down.

"What do you want me to play?"

"Something, soft and graceful," she twirled in front of me. "Just play," my fingers
started across the keys, my eyes never left them. I was in my own world, almost
forgetting that Dana was even there. My mind went to Bella, so I played her song. I
looked up and she was dancing graceful like a ballerina. I didn't stop playing, I just
watched her, she had pinned her hair up and changed into a tight ballerina outfit. She just
danced and danced. Her mind at a silent peace, it felt as if we were making love. As I
started to play fast, her body moved faster. Time slipped away from us, I doubt we would
have stopped, until we both heard hands clapping, we both stopped and looked at the
door. Esme, Carlisle, Alice and Jasper were there watching. It was Alice who was
clapping.

"You guys were amazing," she squealed. "I've been to many plays but I've never
seen someone move like the music is supposed to follow her."

"How long have you guys been standing there” Dana said.

"We got here like an hour ago," Jasper was even impressed.

"I've been here for three," Esme said.

"You guys were in your own little world," Carlisle said.

"So elegant," Dana looked at me.

"Thank you for playing for me."

"No problem."

"Was that Bella's lullaby?" Alice asked.

"It started out as that, I do miss her," I admitted.

"Dana, will you teach me to dance," Alice asked.

"Are you sure you want to learn, I started to teach Nessie she quit on me," she
laughed. "She said I was a bad teacher, she didn't want to accept the fact that she's a bad
dancer," they all laughed. We all went into the living room.

"What are you guys doing back so soon, it's only been three days," I asked Alice.

"We felt bad for leaving Dana all alone, well Jasper did."
"Do any of you guys realize that I am fine by myself," she rolled her eyes.

"Jasper thinks of himself as your big brother."

"I know with his over protective self."

"Everyone's a little over protective of the females in this house," Alice smiled.
"You'll get use to it, don't worry."

"Yeah, I'm starting to," she smiled at Jasper.

We were all sitting around, just talking and laughing when Carlisle phone rang.

"Oh hi Bella," I looked at Edward. Carlisle kept talking to her, his voice barely a
whisper.

"I wonder why she didn't call me," Edward said, he seemed disappointed, then his
face went white, even though he was pale skin, his face went white.

"What's wrong Edward," my heart started to race. Something was wrong and I
knew it.

"Don't cross their lands, we're on our way," Carlisle hung up the phone. From that
statement, I knew it had something to do with them dogs.

"Is my baby okay?"

"Dana, we have to leave. Edward get the car."

"Carlisle! You have to tell me something."

"He told us not to, and for you not to project."

"Who!"

"Paul, he just said hurry," I looked at Edward; he knew what was going on.

"Edward, tell me!"

"It's not my place, I can't tell you. Just come on Dana."

"I'm going to call Rosalie and Emmet," it was bad, we all had to be there.

"Come on Dana," Edward and I took off running.

"Where are they," I said. We made it there in one day, we didn't stop once, and I
was so thirsty by the time we got there.

"We're going to Charlie's house," I followed him to Bella's dad's home. We got
there, I walked right in. Nessie was crying in Jacob's arm. Bella just as white as Edward
was. Charlie came out of the kitchen, he smelt mighty good. "Where's Paul," I balled my
fist. "Where's Kendall," my voice cracked, Paul came downstairs.

"Dana," his eyes were red.

"Somebody tell me what's going on!" I was screaming.

"Bella, maybe you should get Charlie out of here," Edward warned, she nodded
and stood next to him, I knew she had her shield around him. I looked at Paul, he couldn't
find his voice, and I knew it. In walked Carlisle, Alice, Esme, Jasper, Emmet and Rosalie.

"Dana," Nessie walked over to me, she grabbed my hands.

"No Nessie, I don't want to hurt you. You tell me," I looked at Paul, then at
Edward.

"They took him," Edward spoke.

"Dana, please remain calm," Carlisle said, he took a step towards me.

"They killed him," Nessie screamed, I felt everything in me go black.

"Dana!!!!!!" Paul caught my body, I wasn't in my body, I wasn't anywhere, and I

was looking down at them. I thought back to what Nessie said. They killed my baby, they
killed my baby! He was only a baby.

"Dana, we're going to get them," Edward said.

"No, your not because, I'm going to kill them myself."

"Dana, they are big in numbers, they know your powers, let us help you," Paul
looked at him. "I can still hear her; she's going to kill them herself."

"Tell her…"

"She can hear you guys."

"Dana, we are going to make them pay for killing my godson," Nessie screamed.

"We have to be smart about this, they'll be expecting us," Jasper said. Going back
into my body, I would have to deal with the hurt; the hurt of losing the only person who I
knew would love me unconditionally. I didn't know what to do, one thing was for sure. I
was going to kill me some werewolves but first I was going to have to take advantage of
being able to float without being in any being.

"She's gone," I told them, all of their faces fill with worry. "She just wanted to see
the world away from the hurt she's feeling in her body."

"How did this happen," Rosalie looked at Paul, then Jacob. Paul didn't say
anything.

"Sam and his pack came into the house and took him," Jacob answered. Esme
growled.

"We have to wait for Dana," Alice said.

"For what," both Emmet and Jasper said at the same time.

"She needs to be there," Nessie said.

"She'll be back in a few hours," Alice said. Paul was still holding her body, tears
running down his face onto her body.

"She's never going to forgive me for this."

"Nobody blames you," Bella said. Jasper sneered.

"She will," nobody said anything for a long time.

"Maybe we should come up with a strategy for this attack," Nessie said, she
looked at Jacob and Paul. "You guys going to be okay with fighting them?"

"They killed my son!" Paul roared. "I'm going to kill Sam with my bare hands,"
she was actually talking to Jacob.

"They were wrong, I didn't want to have to take it this far but it seems they
haven't left me with much of a choice," it hurt him that it had to come to this but he knew
what had to be done.

"How do you guys even know he's dead," Carlisle asked.

"My mother said that Sam said he shouldn't be breathing when he took him," Paul
said.

We all sat sitting and discussing the best way to attack them, everyone had a plan
and everyone saw a flaw in any other one. When there was a knock at the door, Bella got
up and answered it, it was Emily, Sam's wife. Her eyes red like she had been crying.
Nessie growled.

"What are you doing here," she said.

"I can't believe they could actually do those things they did to my son," it was
Dana.

"Dana?" Alice said when she nodded.

"They burned my baby's body," her knees gave out; Nessie walked over and
hugged her. "He wasn't even one."

"Why are you in her body," Rosalie asked.

"Because I'm going to kill Sam."

"No, he's mine," Paul roared.

"No!" she yelled. "I've had time to think and I don't want to lose any of you too.
I'm going to take his heart the same way he took mine," No one understood what she was
saying but me.

"Dana, she had nothing to do with this," I said.

"And Kendall did," she walked in and looked at her body.

"What's going on," Jacob asked.

"She's going to kill her in front of Sam," no one said anything and that was a good
thing. Dana was lost in her own hurt.

"You know she doesn't even know what he did, doesn't even know that he took
my baby."

"Easy everyone” I said. "She's lost it," they all looked at me; she was looking in a
mirror.

"We can't let her kill that human," Carlisle said, I couldn't say I blamed Dana, if I
lost Nessie to some foolishness, I would do the same.

"How did you get her here."

"I took over her and walk my ass over here. Jacob and Paul let's go," she went
over to her body. "Carry my body Paul," she looked back at us and thought. My Family.
"You guys meet me in the field, in an hour," I nodded. "Don't worry Carlisle; I'm not
going to kill her."

"Yet," she thought as they walked out.

"We'll be there," Nessie said to her best friend.

She looked at Jacob and frowned.

"What," he said.

"If you don't want to be here, you don't have to. No hard feelings really," she was
lying and I knew it

"I actually think it would be better if only the two of us come," I said.

"I only asked him to come as a precaution for you," she smiled.

"I don't mind," he said as we walked into Sam's house.

"Where have you been," Sam roared.

"Emily stepped out for a moment," she smiled, he looked confused.

"What's going on?"

"Did you have to take my baby Sam?" Paul growled.

"Easy babe, he's going to pay," she came up next to him.

"Emily?"

"Guess again," she walked over to Paul and picked up her body. "Aren't I
beautiful," she smiled as he came to realize what was going on.

"Dana?"

"It's about time!" she walked over to him. "You know she's actually scared of
you," she laughed.

"What are you doing?"

"Getting some answers before I do to you what you did to me. I wonder would
you love her as much as you do if I turned her."

"Get out of her!" his hands started to shake.

"Easy Sam, you see you try and kill me the only person who's going to get hurt is
Emily. Well I guess you'll just be doing what's going to be done anyway” she sneered.
"Now sit," he didn't want to but what could he do.

"You took my baby, yes?"

"Yes," she nodded as she picked up a knife, he rose

"Now now," she put the knife to her throat. "We wouldn't want me to slip and
make a mistake, now would we," he sat back down.

"Did you kill my baby," he didn't say anything. "Why doesn't she know that you
took my baby and are in the habit of killing infants?"

"Infant? Yeah right," he laughed, she nodded.

"You see Sam you took away my reason to live and I plan to take yours away
from you," his eyes went sad and she laughed. "I did plan to just kill you but I think this
is so much more fun," a tear escaped his face.

"Wait Dana!” he screamed.

"Wait for what?”

"Can I have a couple of minutes?"

"A couple of minutes for what."

"The last thing I want is for harm to come to Emily, just give me a few minutes."

"I'll meet you in the middle, you got twenty minutes," we turned to walk out,
when she turned around. "Oh! And Sam," he looked at her.

"Come alone, I'll know if there's someone with you."

"Hey Paul," he called we all turned. "You won't believe whose visiting?" he
smiled wickedly.

"Well who!" I snapped.

"Rachael," I saw Jacob's face smile and Paul's go to a blank.

"Who’s Rachael?" I asked.

"She's my sister," Jacob quickly jumped in, I looked at Paul he was staring a hole
into Sam.

"Are you trying to buy more time," I snapped. "Twenty minutes," we left out.

"Do you guys need me anymore?"

"No Jacob, go see your sister," he smiled as he ran away.

We saw them coming in the horizon, none of them said anything. Jacob wasn't
with them. Paul was shocked at the way she kept her emotions in tack. Dana felt hope, for
some reason. They walked over us; Paul placed her body on the ground behind us.

"Edward, let me know when they are coming," I nodded; she went back into her
body.

"She's so weak," were the first words she said as she got off the ground. She
looked at Emily.

"Where am I?"

"You're in my care, if you run. I will turn you into one of us," Emily eyes got
wide. "Don't worry Sam's going to be here in a few minutes to get you," she nodded
again. "I just want my baby back, and Sam took him," Emily was too afraid to object, she
just sat down.

"Dana," Esme came over to her.

"Don't worry Esme, I have no intentions on killing her, frankly she's too weak for
my liking."

"Dana where's Jacob?" Nessie asked.

"He went to see his sister Rachael"

"Paul you don't want to see Rachael?" Emily asked, she was still in hope that
seeing her would change his mind.

"Why would he want to see Rachael?" Dana was clueless

"He's coming Dana and he's alone and in human form," she wanted to press the
Rachael subject but had something more important to deal with right now.

"When you wake up. You'll be in his arms," And with that Dana went back into
her body.

"He just wants you to come” I looked at Dana, she smiled.

"No!" Paul roared, she smiled, and walked over and kissed him.

"its fine Paul, Edward will know if I'm in any more harm's way before I do.
Emmet run my body to the middle point."

"Dana…" Jasper took a step towards her.

"I'll be fine big brother," she kissed his cheek and walked away.

I really hoped I wouldn't have to kill this human, I wasn't to keen on killing
humans, but if he kilt my baby, he would have to watch her die. He was standing a few
steps from my body, when I came up I put my body behind me.

"He's not dead," his first words

"I know, where is he?" his hands were empty.

"In a cage right behind me," I looked behind him and sure enough there was my
baby locked in a cage.

"Go get him Edward."

"How dare you put my baby in a cage?" I went back into my body. "Take this as a
warning, if you ever lay a finger on my baby, I will make you rip her head off!" I pointed
to Emily. "Keep your paws off my child."

"You really stole her baby," Emily was truly shocked.

"Sorry I had to involve you but it was the only way, I could get him back."

"I'm sorry," she said, her eyes were genuine; I wasn't expecting to hear that from
her.

"I don't need your sorry, just my baby."

"You deserve it though," I nodded and smiled.

"Thank you," I cut my eyes at Sam. "Hopefully I never have to see you again," I
turned to leave but then turned back to him. "You know the bad thing; Paul actually
missed you a lot," I walked away and to my family, and in Paul arms, there he was the
joy of my life. I took him from him and starting kissing him until I couldn't kiss him
anymore.

"Ma Ma," came out of his mouth, I squealed with joy, I had missed him so much.
"This will be the last time your out of my sight for so long," I looked at the faces
of the people in front of me all of them smiling at me, at the scene being unfolded before
them. "I've miss you so much Kendall, you will never know pain, I promise it to you for
as long as I'm alive!"

"Let's go home," Paul said, I smiled his way as we headed back to Charlie's house
to get the vehicles.

It was finally the end of the year and Angel's party was tonight Bella, Alice and
Dana weren't to keen on going but wouldn't let us go without them.

"What time does this party start," Rosalie asked

"7:30 p.m," I answered.

"Well its 7:30 now, we can't arrive until at least an hour later," Nessie smiled.

"I don't know why we are going anyway," Dana complained, she looked good
wearing all black along with Paul.

"Don't start Dana," Paul and Jasper said together. She just rolled her eyes and
walked over to Alice. They started talking to each other quietly, Bella walked over and
the three of them started snickering.

"What are they talking about," both Paul and Jasper were thinking, I couldn't help
but think the exact same thing. Bella put a shield up around the three of them so I had no
idea what was going on.

"What are you guys talking about?" Paul asked, they looked at him and their
smiles immediately went away.

"Nothing Paul," Alice said.

"Edward," Jasper looked at me.

"I can't tell you, Bella's shielding them."

"And for good reason," she smiled.

They all stayed together, still laughing and joking together.

"Oh yeah!" Dana said as she turned to Paul. "I almost forgot to tell you what Ms.
Catty told me about the talks you and her have," Paul started laughing.
"Are you jealous?"

"Don't let me see you dancing with her or I'm going to eat you both," everyone
laughed but Dana was serious. I saw now I would have to watch her.

"Mom, are you going to dance," Nessie asked.

"Not likely," Bella still didn't dance at all.

"I can always make you," she smiled at me remembering an old memory we
shared.

We arrived at her house at 9:30, they owned a mini mansion, we walked up to the
door, they had a bouncer in the front of the door, and we showed them the invites. They
nodded as we walked in; there were kids everywhere, alcohol being floated around.

"Nessie you better stay away from the drinks around," I warned her, she nodded
as she saw one of her friends took Jacob's arm and walked away.

"These drinks are spited?" Dana asked I just nodded.

"I'm going to get a drink," Paul smiled as he walked towards the table. The rest of
us stayed together until we found a table. The seven of us took up two table, we pushed
them together. Dana was sitting on the edge saving a seat for Paul when Carlos
approached.

"Saving me a seat, were you?" he smiled.

"Actually that's for Paul," he sat down.

"He left you alone, you want to dance," she smiled.

"You know you're pretty bold to sit here with us," Jasper said.

"Yeah he is," Emmet agreed.

"You want to dance, that's the only reason I came over here," Dana bit her lip.

"Rain check," he smiled.

"I'm going to hold you to it," he got up and walked away.

"Oooo Dana I'm telling," Rosalie teased, Dana just waved her off as Paul,
Catherine, Angel, Rosella and Tanya approached. I grabbed both Dana and Bella's hand.

"Hey, I thought you guys weren't coming," Angel looked at Emmet. "My feelings
really would have been hurt."

"I tried to keep them away," Paul thought.

"You ladies don't mine if we take these gentlemen off your hands for a while,"
none of them spoke.

"Aww come on, it's just some harmless dancing," she smiled sweetly.

"Go," Rosalie said they rest of them turned their heads to her. "Do we really have
anything to be worried about," Rosalie flipped her hair. The rest of them smiled.

"Yeah go ahead," they all pushed and smiled at us. At first none of us moved
then each girl took our hand and led us to the dance floor. We danced with the girls but
each one of our minds was on our girls.

"What was that about?" Emmet asked.

"What are they planning," Jasper asked.

"This is a bad idea," Paul said, I tried to listen over at them but got nothing, Bella
must have had her shield up again, I shrugged my shoulders at them, I was at a lost and I
really didn't like being left out of the loop even if it wasn't any pf my business. As we
danced, Tanya was babbling on about how happy she was that the year was finally over
and how she couldn't wait to start her job, I looked over and there was Jacob dancing
with the girl, I couldn't remember her name to save my life, I laughed to myself. I looked
over at the table where we were all seated and it was empty.

"Edward, are you listening to me," I looked down at her face, she was cute but not
my type but I had to be nice.

"Yes, I did Tanya," she pulled me closer to her body but I backed away.

"How long have you known Bella?"

"Going on seven years."

"It isn't weird being involved with your step sister," I smiled at thought of Bella
being my step sister.

"I don't think of her as a sister," she smiled.

"And what about Dana, do you think of her as a step sister or in the same way you
think of Bella?" that question caught me off guard.

"Dana is my best friend nothing more nothing less" I stared directly in her eyes
when I said this; I wanted her to know I met business.

"If you looked at me the way you looked at her, I'd want to be your step sister
too," I stopped dancing and backed away from her.

"I think its time we stop dancing," she smiled wickedly.

"I must have hit a soft spot," she turned and joined her group of friends. I hadn't
even noticed I was the only one still dancing. I joined them. They were all in silence;
Paul was still drinking the 'punch'.

"Where did they go," Jasper asked, no one answer because no one knew the
answer. "They didn't take their purses so they can't be far,"

"Over here Edward," I heard them all think, I followed the voices, I couldn't see
anything so I stood and sure enough there they were laughing and smiling even my Bella
on top of the bar table dancing. All eyes were on them.

"There they are," they were already on their feet they just followed my finger.

"Are you kidding me?!" Jacob said,

"Are they really doing this," Emmet said. They rest of us just stared, they really
looked beautiful up there, dancing and singing along to the music, I couldn't help but
smile at them, I looked around at my brothers and each and every last one of their faces
had a smile on it. They d-jay turned the music down.

"THIS ONE IS FOR THE FINE LADIES STANDING ON TOP OF THE

BAR!!!" he yelled as Conceited by Remy Ma started playing. By this time everyone had
stopped dancing and they had all eyes on them. I had never seen this side of Bella before
or any of them. They were truly enjoying themselves and I couldn't help but thank Dana
for that even though I didn't know for sure if it was her who came up with this little plan.

"Come over here," Rosalie thought as I made my way over to them, of course my
brothers followed suit. We helped them off the bar and headed towards the door. Once
we made it outside.

"That was some show you guys put on," Paul said, his words slurred a little bit,
and he was still drinking. Dana took the cup from him.

"Maybe you should stop drinking."

"Let me finish that cup," he reached for it.

"No Paul, why are you even drinking," I saw a fight coming.
"Because I am a grown man and if I want to have a drink I can," he snatched the
drink from her and spilled it on her. We heard laughs coming from behind us, we turned
around slowly. There stood the group of girls that was causing all this trouble.

"Now that's entertainment" Angel said as the rest of them continued to snicker.

"Don't keep letting her run your life Paul," it was Catherine talking. "You don't
have to keep taking everything from her just because you two have a baby," Dana was
gone before I could stop her; I caught her body before it hit the ground. She opened her
eyes in Catherine's eyes.

"Dana get back here," Nessie yelled, she smiled and shook her head.

"Why should I when I'm learning so much from her," Catherine friends looked at
her weirdly.

"Are you okay Catherine?" she looked at them.

"I'm fine," she took a step down the stairs over to Emmet. "Emmet, did you plan
on telling Rosalie about how you told Angel about how she wants a baby so bad that she
thought about stealing Kendall from Dana and use to think about stealing Nessie from,"
Dana shook her head at Rosalie, Bella grabbed my hand. She walked over to Paul and
rolled her eyes at him. Dana left her body and when she came back, she was in my arms,
I let her down.

"How did I get over here," Catherine asked.

"You walked," her sister Rosella answered.

"You must have been drinking too much," I laughed.

"Maybe its best if you guys go back to your party," Alice said, they all looked at
her and smacked their lips, Dana started to walk over to Rosalie.

"Not here Dana," Alice grabbed her by her shoulders; Dana just went to her car
got in and zoomed away. We all trailed in cars behind her Alice, Jasper, Bella and I rode
in my car while the rest of them rode in Emmett's truck.

"I can't believe Emmet and Paul, well you can expect that from a dog but
Emmet!" Alice ranted.

"I can't believe Rosalie wanted to steal my baby!" Bella was upset about that.
"Steal Dana's baby. I can only imagine how she feels, what's to stop her from doing so
now."

"Bella you know Rosalie wouldn't do that," I said.

"Does Dana," Jasper said aloud while the rest of them thought it.

"We're going to the Ice House," Alice said as we pulled in front of the house.

"Make sure Dana does not leave," Jasper said as he and Alice hoped in her yellow
Porsche and together they drove away. Dana was in the piano room, Paul was in the
bathroom throwing up and Rosalie and Emmet were in the garage arguing. Nessie and
Jacob were sitting in the living room, chatting softly to each other.

"Can you play for me," I heard Dana thinking. "Its fine if Bella comes in and the
rest of them just keep Paul and Rosalie out of my sight for a while," Bella sat down on the
love seat.

"Dana wants me to play for her, she said she doesn't mind if you guys come and
watch. Believe me it's worth it," they all followed me into the piano room.

"Hey Dana, you okay?" Bella couldn't help but ask she just smiled instead of
responding. I sat down at the piano, Bella sat next to me Jacob and Nessie sat on the floor
on a corner and I started playing. Dana just listened at first then she started to lose herself
in the music, when she was completely lost, she danced. She just let her anger and hurt
get lost in it. She had found her new outlet; she loved every minute of it. She didn't hear
Emmet, Carlisle and Esme enter. She just kept dancing. No one said anything. No one
move I didn't even hear a thought. Dana twirled like a little ballerina. She was honestly at
peace a place many of people never found and she had found hers. She danced through
the night, I doubt she would have stopped but she heard Jacob snoring, she stopped and
looked at him and Nessie sleeping.

"I guess I should stop," she whispered, everyone smiled at her.

"Dana, that was wonderful!" Esme proclaimed.

"You moved like a feather in the wind," Bella added.

"Sorry for taking your husband from you," she said to Bella.

"Its fine really, we didn't have any plans," we walked into the living room.

"Dana, you know Rosalie wouldn't steal Kendall."

"I know she doesn't want me to make her rip her own pretty face off her
shoulders," she just nodded at him.

"Nessie wants you to teach her to dance," Dana laughed and rolled her eyes.

"We shall see how long that last this time," everyone laughed. We all sat down in
the living room watching television, when Rosalie came down the stairs, she walked over
to Dana who was now holding Kendall, and she held him a little tighter.

"Dana please understand I would never take Kendall from you. I will admit that I
was jealous of you and Bella both. You two have something I will never have," Dana just
looked at her.

"Its fine Rosalie," she looked at me. "I will kill her if she tries to take my baby," I
nodded at her, because if Rosalie did try to take him, she deserved whatever Dana had
planned for her.

A couple of hours had passed when Paul finally did come back downstairs
everyone was gone except for Jacob, Kendall and I. I would have gone along but Dana
didn't trust Jacob alone with the baby of course she didn't say it out loud but she asked me
to stay. He came and lay down on the sofa.

"You know Dana's pissed at you," Jacob said.

"Why?" he had no real memory of yesterday.

"She projected into that girl and saw what you and her have been talking about,"
Jacob answered.

"I told you that messing with that girl was nothing but trouble," Paul put his hand
over his head.

"Great!" he didn't realize just how mad she really was.

"She danced for us last night too."

"She danced?" he didn't move.

"Yeah it was nice, she moves very sensual," Paul smacked his lips.

"Watch it Jacob," he just laughed. "My head is pounding and now I have to deal
with her."

"It's your fault," I defended Dana; he was putting all the blame on her.

"No, its not if she hadn't projected into her, she wouldn't know," Jacob and I didn't
say anything; I just shook my head at him. Kendall maneuvered himself out of my arms
and wobbled over to Paul, he started hitting him in his head.

"Stop it Kendall!" he yelled.

"Don't yell at him!" we all turned to see Dana and the rest of the family standing
there. Kendall laughed and started towards her.

"Come on with Mommie," she picked him up. "We're going out," he clapped his
hands and she smiled.

"Where are you going," she looked at him, her smiled faded and she stared at him
then started laughing, Kendall joined in. they laughed together as they both went upstairs.
He sat up, he was on his way up there but I stopped him.

"Don't, she's trying to cool off," he pushed my hand off of him; I had to take a
double take.

"Don't touch me bloodsucker," he growled. "I'm so tired of you and Dana's

relationship. She's my wife not yours Edward," he was yelling.

"Believe me I don't want her to be! Dana and I are friends!" he was about to
charge me so I stood, I wasn't going to let him just attack me.

When I came back downstairs with Kendall in my arms, I saw Paul and Edward
standing in front of each other almost ready to attack.

"What's going on in here," everyone looked at me except the two of them. I

walked in between them. Esme came and took Kendall from me. Bella was in her defense
stance, the rest of the family, stuck between a rock and a hard place.

"He's trying to attack me," Edward spoke, I looked at Paul, he didn't say anything.
"He thinks I'm trying to steal you from him."

"What! Where is this coming from?"

"Catherine," Edward answered again.

"Get out of my head," he snarled.

"Is that what you really think," I turned completely towards him. "You're letting
some human come between us! Get in your head," I muffed him. "You want to leave me
for a human!" I pushed him softly but he still took a few steps back.

"Be careful Dana," Edward warned.

"Don't worry about her!" Paul yelled his hands started to shake. I looked and saw
Jasper closing in on us, I looked back at Paul.

"Did you imprint on her!"

"No," his mouth didn't open.

"You want to leave me," he didn't say anything so I pushed him, this time he flew
into the wall, he popped out of his skin. "You want to fight me now!" my eyes were
black, I know.

"He said, back away," Edward said.

"NO! What you can talk all that stuff behind my back! Now we're here and you
don't have anything to say. I wonder what your girlfriend would say she finds out you're a
wolf!" he stood on his hind legs.

"He loves you Dana, you and only you," I rolled my eyes.

"I'm leaving," I looked at all their faces. "Don't follow me!" I stared into Paul's
eyes.

She was out of sight before anyone could think to stop her.

"I'm going after her," Nessie said, Bella and I nodded at her, as she left.

"I've got her," I heard Nessie think, I don't know if she was or wasn't talking to
me but it put me at ease, I knew Dana wouldn't let any harm come to her.

"She caught up to her," that put Bella and Jacob at ease. Bella walked over to
Paul, she took her shield down.

"Paul what's really going on with you," he was still in his wolf mode.

"Get her back."

"Bella…" she looked back at me.

"I'm okay Edward, he won't hurt me," Emmet took a step closer.

"What are you doing Paul," Kendall cooed. Paul eyes went to him.

"I don't know," he whimper, she took a step closer and scratched behind his ear.

"Do you not want to be with her anymore?"

"Like I can control that."

"I'm not talking about the imprinting, do you want to be with her."
"What is she saying?"

"He doesn't understand Bells."

"You shouldn't just stay with Dana because you imprinted her. If you can't deal
with her personality."

"Yeah, if she's to strong for you. Leave!" Jasper chimed at him, Bella cut her eyes
at him. He didn't think anything, there was a silence. His mind went through the
memories he and Dana shared. Then he asked himself.

"Do I really love her," I shook my head, this was going to kill her, but I kept my
face in the same structure.

"It shouldn't take you that long to answer that question," I snapped, everyone
looked at me.

"What question," it was Dana, she was listening careful not to think anything. "I'm
sorry Edward."

I took over his body, everyone eyes still on me. I didn't move I just stared into
Paul's eyes. I loved him dearly and now he was second guessing his love for me, I
couldn't believe it. I looked at Kendall, it was like he knew it was me but I shook my
head at him as he reached for me.

"I don't know what to say," this was Paul.

"Dana's going to be devastated," that was Esme.

"I should kill him," that was Jasper; I couldn't help but smiled as he thought out a
plan to kill Paul.

"Just leave Paul; I'll explain everything to her."

"She loves you…" I started laughing, Paul and I had had this conversation before
many of times and if that's what he thought I was tired of fighting him on it.

"Dana get out of me!!" Edward roared.

"If that's what you really think then why are you here…" I almost slipped and said
I. "…she loves you on a level you're too blind to understand but you know what Paul
she…." Edward had taken over his body again.

"Tell him I want him gone before I return, he's got 7 minutes," she was calm too
calm.
"What happen?" Bella looked at me as did the rest of the family.

"Dana," Alice said.

"Oh No!" he thought as he transformed back into his human form.

"I didn't want to hurt her. I want nothing but the best for her," he was pleading
with the family. I walked closer to Jasper, he was about to spring.

"I think you should leave, she's going to kill you if she sees that you're here."

"I should explain this to her."

"There's nothing to explain," she was at the door, Nessie at her side crying.

"Dana…"

"Don't," she held up her hand, she shook her head.

"I told you I wanted him gone," she looked at me then back to Paul "I was right
about you," her eyes filled with pain. He walked over to Kendall, Dana screamed. "Stay
away from him," Kendall watched the scene unfold as if he understood.

"He heard my thoughts," Paul was overwhelmed. "Did he understand," I didn't

say or do anything, I knew Kendall did understand Paul but I didn't want to be the one to
tell him so.

"I can't leave her," he said it with such conviction. "I do love Dana and I am in
love with her," he turned and walked over to her, I saw her fist ball.

"Don't you dare, I'm so tired of this endless drama with you," she back away from
him. "I don't want to kill him in front of Kendall."

"I don't want to make the biggest mistake of my life"

"If you don't leave, I will bite you," she sneered, she was serious about that too, he
took a step back, and her eyes were black.

"Dana…"

"Leave, there's nothing left for you here," still he came towards her.

"You're here, Kendall's here," she looked over at Kendall who was in Esme's
arms.

"Take him out of here," she ordered, Esme nodded and left. "I will bite you Paul
and you will die," the way he looked at her. "I cannot keep allowing you to have you little
mood swings."

"Dana," he took a step forward.

"You want to be with that human girl, I'm not going to stop you. Go," her voice
was low. "You told me you and her talked about nothing important. You don't think this
is important. You don't think telling her about Kendall and all that other bull you told
her!"

"Dana, please."

"You think you're the only one who's given up something for this relationship,"
she looked around. "I'm madly in love with a werewolf, those who killed the one I loved
the most. I have to live with myself everyday because of that. The feeling of betrayal I
feel. You have no idea Paul."

"I never knew....."

"You never asked. I can barely look at myself in the mirror at times, but you
know what I didn't care because the love I thought you felt for me was unconditional."

"It is!" I shook my head.

"Go home Paul, isn't that what you want more than anything, to go home."

"This is my home," a tear fell down his face.

"A home where you feel unwelcome and unloved. Paul just go," I walked over to
him, no matter how hard I tried I couldn't deny the feelings I had for him. "I'm always
going to be here and so is Kendall, when you're ready to come back to me, you can."

"You'd wait for me?" I smiled at him.

"I've got nothing but time on my hands," I didn't realize until that moment just
how much he meant to me. "I'll miss you every second you're away," I saw the battle in
his eyes, the battle between his heart and his head. Yes, Paul did love me but something
in him was missing and that something he just couldn't find here with me so I knew I had
to free him.

"I will be back," he said it with confidence; I just smiled as he left. He walked out
of my life and into a life of his own. Edward walked over to me, and hugged me.

"He realizes just now, how deep your love for him flows," I shook my head and
walked away.
Seven months later, Paul still wasn't back for good, even though he did come and
visit Kendall on the regular, him and Dana never saw each other. She never spoke or even
thought on that night and when someone did ask her about it, she just completely ignored
them. I was worried about her even though she put on the front that she was fine. we
were back in school this time as seniors, Dana and I didn't have any classes alone like last
year so we didn't get our alone time. I came home early one day and found her in the
study looking through Carlisle's old vampire books.

"What's wrong Dana?"

"Nothing just looking through these old books of Carlisle. What are you doing
home?"

"I should be asking you the same question," I smiled at her as I came into the
room.

"School was boring so I left."

"Yeah me too."

"That Carlos dude keeps asking me out on a date," I turned to her.

"Are you considering him?"

"Actually yeah, I mean I'm not trying to change him or anything but I want to go
out. Have some fun for once."

"And you think you can have fun with him?" I laughed.

"It's not even like I like him, you know what shut up," I laughed harder at her.
"I'm going out with him."

"Whatever makes you happy," she hit me soon Alice and Jasper walked into the
room.

"What are you two doing here," Dana asked smiling.

"We just wanted to leave," Alice answered.

"Alice you see Dana going on a date with the human?"

"Yeah, I actually did. You're going to have fun. He's taking you to the laser tag
thingy," Dana laughed.

"Thanks, now I'll know how to dress."

"Hey Dana," Jasper called as she turned to him.

"Yes Jasper."

"You want to get some hunting in and maybe a round or two,” a wicked smiled
spread across her face.

"Next time just ask me to marry you," they both laughed as they zoomed away.

"What's wrong Alice," she showed me her vision.

"When?"

"When she leaves tonight," I nodded.

Alice and I were sitting in the living room waiting for him to show, both had
mixed feelings on the purpose of his return but we tried to keep an open mind, right?
Alice hit me, I saw her vision of me attacking Paul, and it gave me some kind of
satisfaction.

"Dana will be very upset with you."

"Are you sure about that?" the doorbell rang, Alice went to answer it.

"Hi Paul," his hair was long.

"Hey Alice," he smiled shyly.

"Hey Paul," I said.

"Hey Edward," Alice escorted him into the living room. There was a silence
between us all.

"Is Dana upstairs?"

"No, she's out," Alice smiled.

"Oh, how have things been here?"

"Just fine," Alice was beating around the bush.

"So tell me Paul, why are you here?" I came out and bluntly said it. I wasn't about
to play this game.

"I'm home for Dana."

"For Dana? I see. You know it's been seven months."

"Yeah, I know," he was going into defense mode.

"Did you find whatever it was you were looking for?"

"No," that's when I saw where he was, he visited with Rachael

"Then why are you back?"

"I missed her."

"You missed her," I laughed. "You leave her saying you need to find something,
something in which you haven't found and now you're back because you miss her. Okay
so what's going to happen when this something that you haven't found comes calling
again. Are you just going to leave her again?" he didn't say anything.

"Maybe I should leave."

"No wait Paul," Alice stopped him. "You came to talk to Dana and that's what you
should do."

"Are you going to tell her where you've been," he just looked away. "She deserves
to know."

"Dana's back from her date yet," Nessie came running down the stairs.

"Date? She said she'd wait for me."

"How long did you expect her to put up with the feelings you left her with."

"Edward that's enough," Alice soft voice said. "You shouldn't come back unless
you are sure you're here to stay," those few words said more to him than anything I had
just said. Just then Dana walked through the door with a huge teddy bear in her arms and
Carlos at her side.

"What are you...." Paul looked at her and it was as if everything in him was
pulling him towards her.

"Dana..."

"I didn't know you would be here," she turned to leave. "Let's go Carlos," Paul
stood, he placed his hand on the small of her back and Paul went for his throat. The scene
happen so fast I'm not even sure if Carlos knew how he got on the ground.
"Are you insane!!!?” Dana was yelling she left with Carlos quickly. I had Paul in
a head lock.

"Let me go!"

"She's coming back, give her a minute to apologize for the mess you've just
made," I snapped. He started to calm himself.

What was I thinking, attacking that human, just seeing him touch her made me
crazy. Now she was out there with him. What was taking so long was she kissing him
with it being so cold she could justify her cold lips. Edward laughed, I knew he was
laughing at me, but what did he expect me to think. She walked back in; her face read
nothing, the room slowly cleared out.

"What are you doing here," her voice like music to my ears, like a song I've been
missing for months.

"I want to come back," the teddy bear still in her arms. She came into the living
room and stood at the window, was she looking out there for him. I wasn't gone that long,
did she move on without me.

"Really?" she didn't seem to believe me.

"Yes."

"Are you sure," she still stood at the window. I just looked at her, "Paul?" she
didn't look at me; she hadn't even made eye contact with me since I had been there. I
walked over to her part of me wanted to see what she was staring at and the other half of
me just wanted to be near her.

"Will you have me back Dana," I looked into the darkness there was nothing but a
slight reflection of herself.

"You didn't answer my question."

"I'm sure that I can't live without you another day," she turned to me still not
looking into my eyes. "I'm sure that I love you and whether ever you're happy I am.
Where ever you are home that's where my home is."

"Stop it Paul," she placed her hands up.

"I went out searching for something I already had in you, something that is in you
that no one replace."

"But if it were in someone else, you would leave?"

"No, I want you Dana," she smiled. "You are truly one of a kind Dana," I pull her
face up; she pulled her eyes away from mine. "Dana, why don't you look me in my
eyes?"

"Then you'll be real."

"I'm real, feel me Dana," she balled her hand into a fist. I placed her fist on my
heart. "It beats for you and you alone," still she didn't look. "Just give me one glance
Dana," I pleaded with her.

"I can't, you'll just leave me again. You have no idea what I've been through these
past seven months and you come back and tell me it was for nothing," she shook her
head.

"I'm sorry Dana, I was being selfish," that made her look up into my eyes.

"Sorry...." she laughed. "I don't want your sorry, all I wanted was you."

"You have me, you always had."

"No I haven't. You left me alone, nights on tops of night. I went over it a million
times in my head, where did I go wrong. What did I do? Was it because of the way I
treated you, or the way I didn't."

"It was me..."

"Then I realize when Kendall was born I gave you all of me, all I had to give and
yet it still wasn't enough for you."

"Yes it was, yes it is," what was she trying to do to me, leave me, she couldn't.
"Don't do this to me," she looked at me. "I need you and I promise I will never leave you
again,"

"Where have you been?" that's when I thought, how would I tell her the truth.

"I went back to la Push to visit a friend."

"A friend?" she asked.

"Her name is Rachael."

"One of Jacob's older sisters, I remember," her eyes were confused.

"Why were you visiting her?"

"Before I met you I imprinted on her," she kept her face in the same expression
but I knew she was upset.

"You went to visit the girl you imprinted on before me," her voice was cold.

"Yes," she backed away from me.

"In hopes of what? That seeing her you would realize you didn't want to be with
me," she was hurt I knew it but still her face showed no emotions. I didn't say anything,
she just nodded.

"I didn't find anything Dana, I just wanted to be sure that this was the right thing
to do."

"That what was the right thing to do."

"Marry you."

"Why would you ask me if you weren't sure if it was the right thing to do," she
raised her voice.

"Dana, while I was with her I talk of nothing but you."

"Seven months you were with her," she back away from me completely.

"Dana please...."

"Go upstairs; we'll finish this talk tomorrow. I know you're tired," I was skeptical
to leave her but I knew she would need time to think things through, I walked up the
stairs and into the room. The room was still the same, a picture of Dana, Kendall and I on
the dresser in a clear picture frame. I laid down and quickly drifted to sleep.

When I finally did catch up to her, she was in the basement alone, sitting at my
piano wishing she could play. She was alone and happy to be, I didn't want to disturbed
her but she already knew I was there besides I needed to talk to her.

"You know you can't do that," she was thinking of projecting into him and sees
where he had been and how he was really feeling.

"Why not? No one will ever know except you and me."

"You promised him, you wouldn't use your powers on him Dana," she laughed.

"That's why I haven't done it, why do you always bring this up?" she didn't want
to talk about this.
"How was your date?"

"I actually had fun, took his title in laser tag."

"You and your video games," I sat next to her.

"What can I say." video games were never my thing. "What do you think," she
looked up into my eyes.

"You want to know what I think as in my opinion or what I know as in his

thoughts," she looked back at the keys.

"What you think."

"He loves you but is also very young, but I don't think he will leave you again."

"I figured as much," she barely thought anything.

"What are you trying to hide Dana?"

"Whose Jane and Aro?" that question caught me off guard.

"Aro is one of the head vampires, he has a talent like mine but enhanced, and
once he touches you he sees your entire life and every thought. Jane's his body guard well
one of them, she plays this mind game as a short way to put it, makes you think you're
burning alive but your body can't live without your mind so she can kill you," I looked
back at Dana.

"Where are they?"

"Italy, why are you asking about them?"

"They are going to do something that sets me off. I'm going to kill them. I can't
see what it is though," her mind went to Kendall. "I'm going to them before they get to
him."

"Let's ask Alice," together we walked into her room.

"Should I be afraid?" I placed my arms around her shoulders.

"No! Never, we are going to handle them, just you wait."

"Why would they? How do they even know he exist?" we knocked at the door,
Jasper came and answered it.
"What's wrong Dana," his concern for her was intriguing, I never saw Jasper so
concerned about anyone but Alice. The concern he had for her was something different
than Alice though.

"She saw herself killing Jane and Aro," I spoke for her.

"Is it that time already?" Alice came flying out the closet.

"What do you mean saw," Jasper asked.

"She inherited her mother's talents, well sort of," Alice looked at her. "She only
sees bad things," I looked at her, she hadn't said that.

"I didn't want to tell you that part."

"Why not? But you saw Esme and Carlisle going hunting."

"Only because Carlisle got attacked by a polar bear," I nodded as I remembered

her telling Carlisle to be careful.

"That's still no reason to be ashamed of it."

"Alice can you see why?" she asked, Alice looked at me.

"They're going to take Paul and Nessie, she's going to snap. It's going to be worst
than she was with Kendall," my head was going a mile a minute they were going to take
my Nessie, it must have shown on my face.

"What is it?" she shook me.

"They're going to take Nessie and Paul..." Alice said quietly.

"What? When? How is that possible?" Dana was going crazy.

"No matter what we do to stop them, we won't be able to Dana; I've been going
through this in my head a million times."

"So what are we just suppose to just wait for them to take them!" she was yelling
not at Alice, but the situation.

"No, we prepare. Nessie or Paul don't know the extent of your power let's keep it
that way as a matter of fact. I don't want to know anything else," I started to leave.

"Why do you have to leave? Isn't this the entire purpose of Bella's powers," I
looked at her.
"But Dana..."

"I need you, I'm going to break down and lose it without you here."

"I'm going to get Bella," he said and he and Alice left leaving Jasper and I
together.

"What's going on?"

"They don't want to know anything, Aro will know if they know," I nodded. "Let's
go fight," it was more of a command than him asking me if I wanted to. I just followed
him, we ended up in Forks, and the big field where I had Sam meet us.

"You are going to need to master your talent to the up most level even your
fighting skills," I put my hair up into a ponytail. "Allow everything in your conscience to
leave, let the demon in yourself take control," I started stretching, I smiled at him that
always made him smile but he didn't smile, he actually frowned at me. "This is no time
for games Dana, this is serious. If given the chance they will kill you and everyone you
love dear."

"Fine," I looked into the dark of night and saw nothing.

"Forget everything and everyone just listen to the sound of my voice, you need to
learn to depend on every one of your senses," he attacked me and it took a lot out of me.
"You're not listening!" he yelled he backed away. I tried to see him but saw nothing,
again he attacked me.

"Okay Jasper! That hurt!" I yelled.

"You won't see me! Use your other senses."

"I don't know how! I can't even see you!" he hit me again, each time he hit me, the
hit got harder and harder.

"Let your monster come out," the monster in me awoken, I heard him moving,
heard him breathing, he was moving fast. I heard him as he approached, he was getting
closer I had something for him too. He came at me fast but I heard him, I slammed him
down and put my foot on his neck.

"Ha!" even in the dead of night you saw his smiled.

"Now let's go," the way Jasper fought me, I had never fought anyone with such
intensity.

"Take it easy on her Jasper," it was Emmet, I turned and it seemed like even in the
dark I could see them clear as day.

"It's because you let the monster in you do its job," Edward was close behind me.

"You brought everybody?"

"They wouldn't let us leave without them," Alice said.

"Hey Dana," Rosalie said, our relationship hadn't been any better since that day
when I thought she was trying to steal Kendall.

"Hey Rosalie, did you guys come to watch Jasper beat me up or did you come to
fight?" Nessie, Paul and Kendall were with them.

"Why are they here? And what do they know?"

"We couldn't leave them unprotected and they know enough," I looked at Edward.

"What's enough?"

"We know everything," Nessie smiled.

"Why do they know everything," I looked at Edward.

"I thought it was best if they knew," it was Carlisle who spoke.

"Why?"

"Don't worry Dana, it's not like we're afraid," Nessie said and I smacked my lips.

"Don't be stupid, you should be afraid!" I snapped at her.

"Well I'm not, what's the worst they can do to us. They won't kill us after all they
are after you," I turned and looked at Alice.

"They're after me?"

"Somehow they know about your talent, or they know something about you. I
can't tell you exactly what it is but they are wondering what has Carlisle so interested in
you," I was about to look to Carlisle but there was someone else there.

"Who is that?" I pointed directly at him.

"That's Eleazar," Carlisle answered he came over to me, he looked like he was
sizing me up.
"You are truly talented," he circled me.

"What is he doing?"

"Be patient Dana, his talent is to sense other vampire talents," I didn't like the way
he was looking at me.

"We have a lot of work ahead of us," he smiled; I looked at Edward then to
Carlisle.

"Trust him," Carlisle spoke.

"According to Alice we have six weeks," Eleazar spoke. "And you my dear have
the power to destroy them all. I'm taking you way with me for six weeks, you and him,"
he pointed at Jasper. "He's going to work on your defense skills and I'm going to enhance
your talent in this time you will have no contact with any of your family members. I am
going to turn you into a killing machine, Alice told me that you saw yourself killing Aro
and Jane well when I'm done with you, you will have done more damage then that," the
way he talked about how I could have them all made me ready to leave but that would
mean no more Kendall and that I wouldn't stand for.

"I won't leave my son," he smiled.

"Trust me, you will not want him to see some of the things you will be doing," I
looked at Edward.

"Is that really the only way," he said as he flew to Carlisle and whispered lightly
but I heard him.

"He's going to make her feed on humans."

"Oh no! I will not! I'm not eating a human!"

"You've never?"

"No! I wouldn't be able to live with myself!"

"Is that absolutely necessary?" Carlisle asked.

"She needs to do this twice, once before she comes to you and again when she's
practicing. What if I bring you an infant killer or a rapist, will that make you feel any
better," goddamn him!

"Fine," I growled. "but he better be the worst!" He smiled wickedly.

"Oh! I promise they will be."

"Do I have to go with him?" I pleaded with Edward, he smiled and nodded.

"Let me say goodbye to my son," I rolled my eyes at him. Edward caught me

before I got all the way to them.

"He's really not that bad but he's feeding off you," I cut my eyes at him.

"And that's suppose to make it any better," I ran faster until I had Kendall in my
arms.

"Mommy has to go for a little while, ok?" he started to cry. "I'm going to be back
okay but I have to save Daddy and Godma Nessie, you don't want anything bad to happen
to them right?" he understood because his loud wails turned into a soft cry. I looked at
Paul.

"You take care of him."

"I promise," I kissed his lips.

"You take care of yourself as well."

"You don't have to go," I smiled.

"If I don't you die, I wouldn't be able to live with myself so I would die. Who
would Kendall have?" I kissed his lips one more time before walking over to Edward, he
smiled at me. "Take care of them for me" he nodded and smiled.

"Will do," he whispered as I ran to Eleazar.

We all did what we could to prepare but really what was there to do, we all knew
how to fight and we all knew how to use our strengths to our advantages, three weeks had
passed and we had heard nothing. we had stopped going to school telling the school we
were going out of the country so we just waited, waited for a knock a telephone call or
something. Bella, Paul, Nessie, Kendall and I were in the living room watching television
when Alice came running down the stairs with a huge smile on her face.

"Jasper's home!" she yelled as we all ran to the door. She opened the door and
flew into his arms. His smiled, he had missed her terribly. Those were the longest three
weeks he ever lived through. We all followed him into the living room, Alice never let
him go, and he smiled.

"Bella," she turned to him.

"Yes Jasper."
"Eleazar wants you to come visit every week and he wants you to discuss with no
one what you see."

"Why?" I asked.

"For Dana..." his voice trailed off. "I hated to leave her. Don't tell Paul anything
Edward," his eyes were hard. I saw Dana, but she was anew, her eyes completely black,
the monster in her with its full course in her. She was beautiful in my eyes.

"How is she?" Paul asked.

"Stronger than anyone is expecting," he said confidently. "Eleazar is a wonderful

teacher; Dana's taking to him quite well."

"Can't be that great, he's making her drink human's blood," Paul sneered.

"She drank some while I was there, we found him about to rape a little girl no
more than nine," Paul closed his eyes. "Dana snapped when she saw this, I'm not suppose
to tell you guys this but in three weeks, you all will be truly amazed," he stopped talking
after that. Alice kissed him all over his face. Together they walked up to their bedroom.

"Is she okay?" Paul looked at me.

"She's beautiful," he smiled and played with Kendall on his lap. "Will she even
still be the same?"

"Dana's too stubborn; I doubt anyone can change her."

"Yeah that's true."

The first time I fed on a human's blood was the best thing in my life, how I was
going to give this up was all I could think. It consumed me, I've been missing this for so
long and now it was better than I realized. Eleazar wasn't as bad as I thought he would be,
I was actually starting to like him and his sisters Tanya and Kate, and her mate Garret
fighting the three of them took me to levels, I never imagined.

"We hear you have a baby," Kate said.

"By a werewolf," Tanya turned her nose up

"How did you stand being so close," Kate finished, I laughed at them both as I
always did when they spoke like this.

"Don't judge, its love you know. Nothing that can be controlled," they both started
awwwing then laughing. "Tanya," she looked at me. "You like Edward?" she looked at
the ground.

"Yeah," she whispered lowly.

"Don't be ashamed, he had me under his spell too," she smiled upwards.

"But I love Bella and Nessie."

"Yeah me too," just then Garret, Kate's mate entered the room, he was tall and
rough look, his hair had been in that same ponytail since the day I started working out
here.

"We have a visitor," he spoke as I looked to the door and saw Bella come flying
in, I ran into her arms there was a loud thud.

"Oh Bella, I've missed you!" she laughed lightly.

"You're missed too, more by some," I dropped my head.

"How are they?"

"Miserable," she laughed. "I brought pictures," she handed me six pictures, one of
Kendal laying on Paul's chest they both were sleeping. the next one was of Edward and
Nessie hugging, the next one was Esme and Carlise holding Kendall, the next one looked
like Kendall, Emmet and Jacob playing then there was Rosalie holding Kendall smiling at
him while he slept. I couldn't even look at the other ones.

"Don't worry Dana, I won't let anything happen to him," she promised me, it took
a few minutes.

"Okay, I'm cool," she eyed me suspiciously. "Don't worry." Eleazar walked into
the room.
"Bella! Happy you could make it."
"Okay now can someone explain why I am here?"
"That would be my choice," I spoke.
"We're keeping me as a secret weapon but I wanted someone to be here with me. I
missed you guys and I figured since you're a shield then maybe you could visit me once a
week and give them weekly updates. I was saying that Alice could actually come but
Eleazar said I would be pushing it."
"As you would be," I pouted and Bella smiled.
"I don't see any trouble with that."
"Oh! Thank you Bella!" I jumped into her arms. "Can you do me a favor next
time you come being my photo album...." she went into her bag and pulled it out.

"Alice said you would ask," I jumped up and down.

"I really miss you guys," I looked around the room and realized we were alone.
Once I was alone, I looked through my photo album with Tanya and Kate at both
my sides. Showing them the pictures of Kendall, that's who my album was full of and
they made sure I went through each and every last picture, when I got to the last picture it
was of me and Edward taken at school when they were taking year book pictures, he was
looking at me and I was smiling into the camera.
"Wow," Kate said
"What?" I looked at the picture; I looked cute but no cuter than the other pictures.

"Look at the way he looks at you," I rolled my eyes.

"Please, you should be inside him and feel what he feels for Bella that deserves a
wow."
"Do you mind if I...." she looked at me.

"If you what?"

"Can she have the picture, that's what she’s trying to ask," Kate butted in and
rolled her eyes. I looked at the picture one more time, it wasn't anything great. You could
barely even see Edward's face.
"Why don't you take this one?" I handed her the picture of Edward and Nessie
hugging, you could see his entire face.

"No, I want this one unless it means something to you," I looked down at the
picture again.
"No take it," I took it out of the picture slot and replaced it with the one of
Edward and Nessie. I placed the one of Paul and Kendall sleeping on the front of the
book. Tanya ran off, I looked at Kate she didn't say anything.

"What's her problem?" her eyes were sad, the connection between them was
strong, so I decided it was best if I just left it alone.

"Are you ready?" his eyes were serious, I don't think in the four weeks I've been
here that I've ever even seen him smile

"Three more weeks," I said lowly as I stood, fighting him was easier than fighter
Jasper even though they were just as good as each other but when fighting Jasper I was
always worried about hurting him but Garret I didn't really like so beating him came easy
to me, as a matter of a fact it came to easy, I had almost killed him once.

It was the first night I had tasted a human's blood. I nearly killed Garret and really
enjoyed the fact that I came so close. What could he have done to set me off to that
extent? He took away the body that I was feeding on before I was finish draining his
sorry body, which nearly drove me utterly insane.

I chased him through cities and with every step I took I grew angrier and angrier,
he was going to pay once I got my hands on him. He wasn't in my eye sight so I followed
the fresh scent of blood in the air from the body he was caring, I heard Jasper and Eleazar
following behind me gaining on me quickly but I was gaining on Garret faster because
the scent of the blood was getting stronger. That's when I heard Eleazar's voice say,

"Dana why are you running, use your talent," he was right why was I running
when I could get to him so much fast, I stopped running and left my body, and I started to
float in the air, thinking of no one but Garret, and it worked faster than it usually does
because I was in his body before I completely the thought. When I did take him over he
was still holding the body, blood all over his hands, my thirsty was calling but I wanted
to kill Garret but the thirst out won the desire for me to kill him so I threw the body down
and finished what I had started.

By the time I was finish Jasper and Eleazar had caught up to me, Jasper was
carrying my body.

"Dana," Eleazar called, I brought my eyes up to his and smiled.

"I'm going to kill him."

"You can't," they both spoke together, taking small steps towards my body, I
laughed.

"And who's going to stop me."

"Dana you don't want to do this," it was Jasper who spoke this time, I looked at
him.

"Oh but I do."

"Think about what it will do to Kate."

"He should have thought of that before he interrupted my feeding," I made him
pull his arms off and they both yelled, I was laughing.

"I told him to do it Dana," that was Eleazar.

"Why would you play with his life like that," I smiled. I was enjoying this game
with the two of them.

"Dana you won't be able to live with yourself, think about Kendall and Paul, isn't
that why you're doing this," I cut my eyes at Jasper, he knew that would bring back my
conscience, it was a good thing he said it when he did because I was about to kill him just
to watch them scream. The thoughts I had planned to do to him just to watch them scream
for me to stop were horrid.

It took a while for Garret to forgive me but he got his payback when the two of us
were in combat we would hit me with all his might but the one thing I like was I could hit
him back with all I had.

The six weeks came and left, we were entering the ninth week and still nothing,
and Dana still hadn't returned. We kept a close eye on Paul and Nessie but Alice vision
still hadn't changed.

"Dana was to suppose to have been home," Paul roared, we hadn't even heard
word of when Eleazar would be letting her come home and Paul was not happy about this
at all.

"Bella has gone to see what the hold is up, you think we don't want to have her
back," I snapped at him.

"I knew better than to entrust a bloodsucker," he stormed up the stairs. Alice came
through the front door with Tanya and Kate behind her.

"Where's Bella?"

"She's coming," Kate answered.

"What are you guys doing here?" I know I sounded rude but something didn't sit
right with me.

"Did you really think we were going to sit around and let you guys have all the
fun," Kate smiled.

"We want our revenge on Jane," this was the first time Tanya spoke. Nessie
entered the room and squealed when she saw Kate.

"Oh my gosh Nessie! You're beautiful!" they hugged one another.

"Hi Kate," she smiled and turned to Tanya and waved. "Hey Tanya."

"Hello Nessie," she waved back.

"Where's Dana?" She looked behind them and saw no one. Neither one of them
said anything. Kendall wobbled in with Esme close on his heels. He put his arms up for
Nessie to pick him up and she did.

"Hi, gorgeous one, you must be Kendall. You look just like Dana," he looked at
them both.

"Mommie?"

"She's coming soon little one," Kate smile at him.

"She is?" I asked, Tanya turned to me and looked at me strangely.

"Could it be?" she thought.

"Could what be?" I asked confused, she looked away quickly.

"Yes, she's coming with Bella. They are hunting together first though but they
should be here soon."

"Hunting what?" Paul asked as he entered the room.

"Cheetahs, I believe," Kate shrugged as she took Kendall from Nessie's arms,
Paul smiled, he thought she would come back as some addict addicted to human's blood,
I laughed every time he thought of her.

"Edward," Tanya called and I looked at her.

"Yes."

"Can I talk to you?"

"Sure," I escorted her into a corner.

"Outside? So we can be in private,"

"Sure," I looked around Kate, Nessie and Paul was in their own little worlds with
Kendall but I followed her outside anyway.

"How have you been?" whatever she was trying to get at she was now trying to
avoid, I was getting frustrated but kept a straight face.

"Fine," there was a silence.

"What's going on Tanya?" my mind was going for the worst, I thought something
had went wrong with Bella or Dana.
"What's going on with you and Dana?"

"Dana?"

"Yes," that's when I saw it, the picture, what this was all about. I laughed when I
saw that she had ripped Dana out of the picture but she was still very serious.

"The way the two of you talk about one another with suck care love and
admiration..." she was jealous.

"Tanya," I put my hands on her shoulders. "This is a conversation that doesn't

need to be happen and especially not with you. She's in love with Paul and I'm in love
with Bella. You really should not be worried about this," her feelings were hurt. "I am
sorry Tanya, I didn't intend to hurt you," she looked into my eyes.

"I'm in love with you," she ran back into the house. I was going to kill Dana for
giving her that picture. She was reading way too far into things.

"Eddie," I heard her call, I turned around quickly and there they walked slowly
my Bella and Dana smiling and laughing. "Don't just stand there! Come hug me, I've
missed you," I ran towards her the fastest my legs would carry me when our bodies
collided together it made a loud boom sound. I held her in my arms for the longest
second. I looked into her face and something seemed different, something just wasn't
right.

"Hey Dana."

"Hey Edward."

"You look," my voice trailed off.

"Yeah..." she egged me on.

"Like crap," her face cracked into a grin as she took off after me by this time
Bella had caught up to us but she was still chasing me.

"You two are like kids," Bella was laughing seeming to be enjoying the scene
more than we were.

"Bella, how do you stay married to him, he plays so much," she stood behind
Bella using her as a shield.

"Oh I can think of one reason," her smile was devilish.

"Oh my gosh! Bella! Over share!" Dana screamed as she back away from us.
"You guys are nasty, I'm going home," she took off in the direction of the house, when
she was out of our sight Bella pulled me down to her and kissed me.

"She seems okay," I smiled at her as we started to walk home.

"I think she's just excited to get home to Kendall and Paul."

"Something seems a little different though," Bella didn't respond to that.

"Well I'm happy she's home," I said.

"And why is that?" Bella stood in front of me with her arms folded across her
chest.

"Because I was two days away from killing Paul," she laughed and shook her
head.

"Edward you and Bella get home quickly," it was Carlisle.

"Come on Bella," I took her hand and we started running together.

"What's going on?" I didn't answer her and she didn't slow down. "Edward!" she
demanded.

"I don't know Bella but we need to hurry."

By the time we made it to the house, the living room was in pieces; Dana was in
the middle of the living room with her foot on Tanya's neck.

"What happen?" I asked.

"She was kissing Paul," Dana looked at me when she spoke, her eyes were black.

"She's not going to kill her," that was Jasper. I looked at him. "If she wanted to kill
her, she'd be dead already but we still need to be cautious."

"She tricked me Dana," Paul pleaded; I hadn't even notice he was in the room let
alone under the television. Bella walked over to him and helped him up. "She made me
think she was you, she told me you had projected into her body," Dana's foot went deeper
into Tanya's neck.

"Dana," it was Kate who spoke as she took a small step towards her, she was
thinking of trying a surprised attack, I hoped she didn't. Dana turned her head quickly
towards her.

"I hope you don't try and gamble with your sister's life Kate," she sneered.
"She's all I have Dana," she didn't move.

"I don't care!" her voice shook the pictures on the walls.

"Dana," it was Paul who spoke she didn't look at him. "I knew it wasn't you," she
turned her face to him slowly. "The moment she kissed me," her foot eased off Tanya's
neck. "Come here baby."

"I'll always remember what you just said."

After four more weeks passed, we were all going back to living our normal lives.
Dana, Emmet and Jasper were playing the video game and I was watching them.

"So I was thinking," Dana started to say. "Well Paul and I were thinking that we
should get married," she kept her eyes on the screens waiting for our reactions.

"When?" Emmet asked.

"We were thinking the next few weeks."

"That's kind of soon..." Jasper said, she put the controller down and looked at us
all.

"But it's what I want, I've never been married you know and I want a wedding,"
she pouted, we all smiled.

"Fine," the two of them gave in quickly, she smiled, that smile that just wasn't the
same. She looked at me.

"What?"

"I didn't get your blessing."

"Do you need it?"

"No, I don't need it," she smiled again. "But I would like it."

"Dana, what is wrong with you there is something very different about you and
has been since you came back from Eleazar," her smile quickly faded.

"I don't know what you mean," she looked me into my eyes. "It's me Eddie, stop
tripping and give me your blessing before I kick your ass," I smiled and rolled my eyes.

"Fine," she jumped up and down and she ran up the stairs.

I couldn't wait to get up the stairs to get a chance to tell Alice, Bella, Nessie,
Rosalie and Esme. Since Alice's room was the closest I was going to tell her first. I
knocked before I entered her room and to my surprise they all were sitting there. I knew
the instance I walked through the door and saw their faces they all knew; Alice must have
had a vision. I decided to play with them instead.

"Hey guys," all their faces covered with smiles. "Why are you all in here?"

"We were....we were helping Alice find Nessie an outfit," Bella lied, I almost
laughed. Bella was the worst liar I had ever seen human and vampires included. Alice
and Rosalie cut their eyes at her.

"I guess," I walked into the room and looked at my reflection in her over size
mirror.

"So what's going on?" Nessie asked.

"I've got some news to tell you all," I sat besides Esme.

"Yeah?" Esme smiled, I laid my head down on her shoulder.

"I'm leaving Paul, things are moving too fast. He asked me to marry him as you
all know but now he wants to have a wedding as soon as possible. I'm just not ready,"
you could drop a pen it was so quiet in the room.

"What!" Nessie yelled they all looked at Alice as I started to laugh.

"Why did you do that Dana?" Alice smiled. "That was not nice!" all their faces
still clueless. "It was a joke," they all started to laugh.

"Dana that was not nice," Esme hugged me.

"About as nice as Alice telling everyone my good news," I cut my eyes at her.

"I'm sorry Dana, I couldn't help it but I only told Nessie and Rosalie," she
pleaded.

"And the rest just spread," I couldn't help but to just laugh.

"I'm sorry Dana, but this is my first wedding," Nessie squealed. "And I get to be
the maid of honor," I cut my eyes at Alice again.

"I'm sorry Dana," I shook my head.

The process that I thought was only going to take a few weeks, took Alice and
Esme three months, Alice kept saying. "It has to be perfect and that perfection took time."
I had the mind to just go to Vegas.
I wanted to small wedding, a hundred people tops, by the time Alice had shown
me the wedding list for the fifth time it was up to 670 people.

"Alice are you insane!" she poked out her bottom lip. "I said small, I don't even
know a hundred people let alone 670!"

"Dana, don't be like that."

"Like what! No Alice!"

"But we've already sent the invitation," I exhaled loudly.

"Well unsent them!" she started to laugh.

"I may be able to do a lot of things but that isn't one of them."

"Alice," I groaned.

"Don't worry Dana, it will be perfect. I promise it will be all you wanted and
more."

"No more guests Alice" she smiled and kissed my cheek.

"I promise."

"Yeah, you said that when we were at three hundred."

I walked down stairs, pouting I was upset, I was suppose to be married by now
and on my honeymoon but Noooo, I just had to pick Alice for a wedding planner, the
next time I get married, I'm getting a human wedding planner.

"It can't be that bad. Alice is really great with thing like this," Edward said as he
walked past me, I picked up a pillow and threw it at him.

"Stay out of my head," that's when Nessie came down the stairs holding Paul with
Jacob not too far behind.

"Hey," I said as she handed me Kendall.

"What's wrong," she asked

"Nothing."

"We heard you yelling at Aunt Alice," Nessie laughed

"670 people," they both laughed.

"You know how Alice is," Jacob said.

"Shut up," I rolled my eyes at him.

"Hello wife to be," Paul smiled as he came down the stairs.

"Hello husband to be," he walked over and kissed me.

"I heard you yelling at Alice," I laid my head back on the couch.

"670 people Paul, I know we don't know that many people," he kissed my lips.

"Let her have her fun."

"I am, you see I haven't told you let's go to Vegas yet."

"I heard that!" Alice yelled as we all laughed.

The day was finally here, and I didn't think I could be so nervous but I was. I was
having second and third thoughts about this. So many things to factor in. I looked at
myself in the full length mirror, and just stared blankly. If only my mother could see me
now. I missed her dearly, what I wouldn't give to have her here with me. I looked down at
my dress, it was strapless showing off my perfect caramel skin, flowing all the way down
to the ground, and there was beading throughout the dress in shapes of small flowers. I
was alone for the time being I had to beg Alice for ten minutes. I was pacing back and
forward when Edward walked in thinking everything through.

"Hey Edward," I smiled.

"You really look beautiful."

"You think so?"

"Yes I do."

"Thank you, you clean up very nice yourself," he was wearing a tuxedo.

"You know if you're having second thoughts, we can still make a run for it," I
laughed.

"I brought something for you."

"Really?"
"Consider it your something old," he pulled out a stone heart, encrusted in
diamonds. I had seen Esme, Alice, Nessie and Bella with one.

"Oh no, I couldn't take that."

"Why not?" he frowned.

"It's too much Edward."

"They were my mother, I give them to all the women in my life who mean
something to me, and I’ll be offended if you don't take it."

"Okay," he pulled out a long chain, placed the heart on it then placed it around my
neck; I looked at it in the mirror.

"It's perfect," I hugged him.

"Thank you for everything."

"It's time," Alice and Carlisle came bursting into the room. "Edward! What are
you doing here! You're supposed to be on the piano out there," he kissed my cheek and
zoomed away. Carlisle took my arm.

"You are a beautiful bride," I smiled up at him.

"Thank you."

"Okay the three of us will stay back here until Rosalie comes back and tells us," I
nodded I was so nervous, we all stood in silence waiting for the music to start, Alice took
my hand, then squeezed it very tightly. I looked at her face, it was blank.

"What is it Alice," Carlisle let go of my arm so he could get a better view of her
face.

"What's going to happen Alice," he asked.

"Go!" she yelled but never let go of my hand.

"Go where?"

"We're too late," I yanked my hand away from her and ran into the ceremony,
what I saw was horrible, flowers everything, pews flipped over, people under the pews. I
was running around looking for Paul and Nessie but deep down inside I knew they were
gone. I spotted Bella holding Edward.

"Is he okay?"
"Yes," he grunted.

"They took them?" Bella just nodded.

"How did this happen with all these vampires and werewolves in this place?"
Alice came out with Carlise, Rosalie, Emmet and Jasper.

"How?" they all seemed in shock.

"Where’s Esme?" I asked.

"She's gone already," Rosalie informed me, we planned for her to run away with
Kendall.

"With Kendall?" I had to make sure, she nodded.

"Well it's time for me to go," I ripped my dress until it was easy for me to run in it
and I zoomed away to Eleazar.
