Summer 2009 at FBC has already started with a bang!
Many thanks go to Peter and Allyson Elkins, the
Children’s Ministry Committee, and all the many
volunteers who are working hard with Vacation Bible
School. This is our first attempt at an ‘evening’ VBS
and we are praying for a great turnout of kiddos and
their openness to God’s love for them. I know our FBC
volunteers are doing their best to point these children
to Christ. Pray for VBS and that we will always take
seriously our responsibility to share the Good News
with the children of Hamilton.
By the time many of you receive the newsletter, I will
have already chauffeured our Mission Nicaragua team
to the DFW airport. What a great opportunity it is to
send a team from FBC Hamilton to Nicaragua
ministering to the people there and helping them get to
know our Savior and Lord. They will be serving in the
areas of evangelism, rebuilding from hurricane
damage, connecting with families in a local school
telling them about Jesus, and other mission
opportunities. Pray for them as they advance the
Gospel and represent FBC Hamilton. A special thanks
goes out to all of you who participated in the
fundraising for this trip – the cost for each team
member was essentially cut in half because of your
help.
WE MISS YOU WHEN YOU ARE NOT HERE!! I
realize summer is time for vacations, travel, camps,
etc. and unfortunately many have to miss church
because of it. I just want you to know that our family is
not complete when any of our members are missing.
We always look forward to your return.

We are thrilled to welcome FBC’s newest staff
member – DONNIE TOWNSEND. The Personnel
Committee received several applications for
Custodian and called on Donnie to fill the position.
Donnie has been on the job for about a week now and
has hit the ground running. We are happy to have our
new Custodian in place. I hope you will introduce
yourself when you see him and welcome Donnie into
