Learning Standards : 4.1.1 Able to enjoy action songs, jazz chants and poems through non-verbal response. 4.3.1 Able to produce simple creative works with guidance based on : (a) jazz chants (b) poems (c) action songs (d) stories

Focus Skill

: Language Arts

Behavioural Objective : By the end of the lesson , pupils will be able to : a) Guess at least 3 out of 4 gaps charades perfomed by pupils correctly. b) Produce a comic strip based on the sentence description given creatively. Activity SET INDUCTION ( 5 MINUTES) 1 .Teacher pastes five picture and word cards side by side

Teacher-Learning Strategy

Notes Teaching Aids: Picture Cards,Word Cards. This activity is call : Picture-Word Match where by Pupils are required to rearrange the mixed word cards to the correct picture cards. This activity would arouse interest in pupils and to introduce the lesson . Question asked by teacher: 1. Can you name the words on the board? 2. What do you like to do ? 3. What do we call these as? Expected answers by pupils : 1. There are jump, swim, read,play a guitar, sing a song. 2. I like to eat. 3. Things we like. *Refer to Appendix 1

Observation 2.Teacher calls pupils to rearrange the correct word card to the correct picture card. 3.Teacher then introduces the lesson to pupils. Thinking Skills : Arranging and Sequencing .

PRESENTATION (15 MIN) 1.Teacher plays a song What can you do to pupils. 2.Teacher performs the songs with action . 3.Teacher then plays the song again and pupils performs it. Recalling 4.Teacher then asks pupils to list down the words they had seen from the video . 5.Teacher calls out any volunteer to come out and list down the word they knew. Multiple Intelligence: Bodily-Kinesthethic Intelligence

Teaching Aids: Video Clip What can you do, marker. This activity involves music which is the usage of video song to teach on the topic. In this song, it involves actions ,thus ensuring pupils to sing and at the same time perform with actions. Listing down the words helps pupil to recall and reinforce their understanding of the words but in the end it is about enjoying the song. *Refer to Appendix 2

PRACTICE:15 MINUTES 1.Teacher divides pupils into groups of 4. 2.Teacher gives out group a sentence strip . each Creative Thinking Skills. Multiple Intelligence : Interpersonal Intelligence . Teaching Aid: Sentence Strips . Charade is an activity which involves movements without speaking out the sentences. This will ensure pupils to think deeply and guess the sentence.The sentences given are all related to the song the had sang earlier. *Refer to Appendix 3 5.Teacher asks other groups to guess what the pupils are saying. PRODUCTION:20 MINUTES 1.Teacher gives out group a drawing block. each Multiple Intelligence: Interpersonal Intelligence Teaching Aids: Drawing block,sentence strips ,cellotape. This is a form of art where pupils must put in all their art and creativity to come up with a simple comic strip based on the sentences given . This is a form of a product to the earlier activites. *Refer to Appendix 4 Assesment
