The Philippine Association of Local Government Accountants (PhALGA), Inc. , a national organization composed of Provincial, City and Municipal Accountants all over the country, will hold its 7th Northern Luzon Geographical Conference at the FVR Multi-Purpose Center, Upper Session Road 2600 Baguio City on March 11 - 13, 2013 with the theme: Developing Local Fiscal Managers for Good Governance. We have invited very competent resource speakers from the Commission on Audit (COA), Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG), Office of the Ombudsman, Education Sector and LGU Dignitaries to talk on relevant topics, such as: a) Documentary Requirements, Laws and Regulations on Government Expenditures; b) Utilization of the Disaster Risk Reduction and Management (DRRM) Fund; c) Public Accountability: Statement of Assets, Liabilities and Net Worth; d) Improving Public Image through Public Speaking; and e) Highlighting the Best Practices of Baguio City and Benguet Province. Relative to this, we are pleased to invite your LGU Accountant, Accounting Staff, Local Finance Committee Members and Barangay Officials to attend the conference. The registration fee per participant is P3,600.00 (live out). Annual Dues of P300.00 for incumbent PhALGA members and Membership Fee of P500.00 for new member will be collected. Delegates are enjoined to wear Ifugao native Attire during Fellowship Night on March 11, 2013.
