Water 1 cartoon-2
Tap World Barren Landscape poor

The document was drawn by an artist called Barsiko and it shows a miniature version of the planet Earth with a tap fastened at the side of it. In the background is a barren, dried out landscape on which the mini-Earth sits and a man, probably african dressed in rags which show that he is poor, who is heading for the tap with an in his hand in the hope of fetching some water, but theres nothing, not even the tiniest drop. The message is that not everyone has water to drink even though theres lots of it on the planet. Water sources like lakes, rivers, groundwater reservoirs and areas of high precipitation are randomly dotted around the world and thus not always where they are most needed. INEQUALITIES IN THE WORLD I-Give 3 examples of inequality in the world?First up,there is access to water because its sources are far from being evenly distributed around the world, leaving many areas where water is needed without a single drop. The next one is ressources because there are some countries with lots of ressources like the USA and some which have almost none like Japan. And last but not least, there is also population growth,as there are many differently populated areas in the world. II-Explain why the 'South' is different? The 'South',in this case, is meant to designate all still developing countries, mostly poor or without a stable sociopolitical structure. III-3 characteristics of a developed country?Healthcare, partial financial security and access to ressources high literacy rate high life expectancy low fertility rate
