XECUITIVE SUMMERY

This report contains the study of I-8 Markaz Branch of Faysal Bank Limited. This is the age of specialization; every person must be capable in his/her particular field. Some practical experience is necessary to enter the field because only education given in the universities is not enough to compete with the world wide changing situation. The field work is difficult and complicated. This is a good reason why the students of M.B.A are being given a fair chance to get the practical area in which students have to enter after completing education. Internship is a vital part of MBA program. This report is a result of 12 week performance in the form of internship at Faysal Bank Limited, Barkat Islamic Banking, I-8 Markaz branch, Islamabad. Experience was full of knowledge regarding various facts of banking sector. This report consists of practical experience, which I achieved during internship program. At the commencement of internship at FBL, I was aware of what I am going to learn and observe. People usually use to say that practical works is quite different from books or what has been educated in colleges and universities. In real life, one has to get in touch with public, and how to deal with them, its not taught in colleges and not in books even. Its what you get through practical work when you enter in market.

All the information in this report is based upon my observation, interviews and practical Involvement in different tasks during my internship at FBL. This report is being divided into four sections:

First is introductory portion which relates to introduction of the Banking sector, the strong banking sector is the back bone of the economy of any country. The purpose the study and scope of the work which is Islamic Banking in the Fasyal Bank Limited and the methodology of the research.

Second portion contains the review of Faysal Bank Limited, which provides lending, borrowing, safety, availability and transferability of the resources to its customers in a better way. In this portion it is also describe that it is a public limited

company listed in Karachi Stock Exchange (KSE), Islamabad Stock Exchange (ISE), and Lahore Stock Exchange (LSE). Its business volume and its products such as Islamic Banking, Faysal Khushal Kisan, Auto Finance, Personal Loans, Consumer Accounts, Credit and Debit cards etc. The Organizational Structure, Organizational Hierarchy chart, how many employees work in the organization, the location of the main offices of the organization such as the head office and major branches are in almost all big cities of the country. Introduction of all departments of the organization is described.

In third portion, I portrayed the plan of my internship program that was organized by the Manager of the Faysal Bank Limited in their I-8 Markaz branch, Islamabad, and then introduce the branch where I did my internship. It also comprises the Financial & critical analysis on the basis of latest five years is portrayed.

In the last final Finding, Recommendations & Suggestions are given to overcome deficiencies & discrepancies that are being faced by Faysal Bank Limited.
