Corning Gets new Curves with its Willow Glass

It's bendable and shapeable like no glass before, and it could herald a revolution in consumer electronics. It's about as thick and flexible as a piece of paper, while having the strength, durability and other qualities of existing glass. Willow Glass can be made as thin as 0.05mm, which is far thinner than the current 0.2mm or 0.5mm display glass. Because of its thinness and bendability, Willow Glass could very well revolutionize the form and shape of smartphones, TVs, tablets, and other electronic devices. Eventually it could replace Gorilla Glass, which is currently used on many such devices. "Many years ago, when tablet talk started, there were discussions of having flexible e-readers, much like a newspaper-type of physicality," said tech blogger Michael Sheehan "People could roll up their tablets for storage, for example. I envision touch-screen displays being able to be wrapped around pillars or other curved surfaces which could be used at point-of-sale displays," he said. "Displays become more pervasive each day, and manufacturers strive to make both portable devices and larger displays thinner," he said. Willow Glass can be processed at extremely high temperatures, making it superior to

When you archive, you effectively create a new data file, so Outlook doesnt have to strain against the weight of an oversize PST or OST file. Add words to the custom dictionary - Spell check relies on a large main dictionary, but it isnt all-inclusive. Occasionally, it stops at words it cant find. Youll want to add these terms to the custom dictionary. That way, spell check will skip the word in subsequent documents.

Archive your Inbox - Thousands upon thousands of emails in your Inbox can cause serious issues, especially when using PST files. Instead of just letting those Inbox folders grow to outrageous proportions, set up Folders in your Inbox for the emails you want to save. Also set

Bomb-Proof Makeup!
Makeup is usually more cosmetic than functional, but that was before the U.S. Department of Defense, in partnership with the University of Southern Mississippi, got into the business. Now, after extensive research, scientists have created a special kind of face paint that can protect soldiers from the kind of extreme heat generated by bomb blasts. This foundation will protect your open skin from flame, even at prolonged exposures. The new face paint is silicone based, as opposed to the wax and oil base in traditional paints. That means anyone covered in it will be able to withstand short bursts of intense heat, such as the brief 600C blast generated by an explosion. In fact, the silicone paint would allow soldiers to be exposed to even longer periods of high temperatures - it takes treated skin a full 15 seconds to experience burns when exposed to open flame. While this paint could be life-saving for soldiers, it has plenty of other potential applications, as well. Scientists are already working on developing a similar, clear paint for firefighters. It's also believed that this technology could create fire-resistant fabrics.
