PART TWO Section A Question 1 Informal communication is communication that exists as a result of social interaction among individuals at the work place. It does not use the formal channels of communication but may move in any direction. Some of its benefits are: management may use it as a feedback mechanism to know what issues are important to workers or affecting them management may also use it to pass information quickly to the workforce it may be used to predict employees possible reaction before a new policy is introduced.

PART FOUR Question 1 This is an oral report and must be written as such. Candidates may use their own ideas. Possible causes may include: strike action by workers enforcement of a court order direct action by security agencies, etc

Candidates must present their information chronologically or stage by stage according to how the events unfolded. The arrangement is just as in the written report except for one major difference a final summary bringing together all the important information, analysis, conclusions and recommendations in the report. Candidates may use their own ideas but these must be convincing enough to score higher points. Each point must be discussed on a separate paragraph and the main presentation must be done under: the introduction, the body and the conclusion. This question is meant to test candidates language proficiency. Candidates who demonstrate this will score high marks.
