s a homeowner, you can

never lose by adding a
new kitchen or bath.
Of course, theres the obvious
dividend by increasing the over-
all value of the home. But Stone
Interiors places an even higher
priority in the value that a new
kitchen or bath will add to your
life.
Stone Interiors in Boonton
produces beautiful granite
counter tops for your kitchen
and bath. The store recently
added a new showroom of
kitchen and bathroom cabinetry,
making it a complete one-stop
shop.
Owner Gim Gallo has 12
years experience selling and
installing beautiful granite
counter tops to homes in the tri-
state area. He has owned and
operated Stone Interiors for the
past seven years.
I enjoy working with my
customers from the beginning of
their project to its completion,
he said. When my customers
are happy, Im happy.
Most families spend a large
part of their time in and around
the kitchen. Remodeling or
adding an entire new kitchen is
an investment that will increase
your familys enjoyment of your
home. Stone Interiors will not
just build a kitchen for you; they
will build your kitchen for you.
Stop by the showroom at
710 Myrtle Ave. in Boonton or
call 973-334-1550 so you can
begin to enjoy working, enter-
taining and living in your beau-
tiful new kitchen, built
by you and Stone
Interiors, for many
years to come.

W
hen I was a young
and impressionable
20-year-old, people
much older and wiser told me
that the recipe for success was
hard work and long hours.
Other people I respected told
me that education was the key
to financial independence.
Armed with this information, I
set out to become a millionaire
and to achieve champagne
wishes and caviar dreams. I
can still hear Robin Leachs
thick, polished British accent
resonating in my head like it
was yesterday, even though
Lifestyles of the Rich and
Famous has been off the air for
about 18 years!
Other axioms I heard
were: Fake it till you make it,
We become what we think
about and the most famous
one from Napoleon Hill,
What the mind of man can
conceive and believe, it can
achieve. Those statements
became my battle cries and call
to action! I was going to
believe it, then achieve it,
while faking making it and
working long, hard hours at
multiple jobs, gaining a practi-
cal education as well as a for-
mal one on my way to financial
greatness. I was On fire and
climbing higher!
Then it hit me: if hard
work was the key to financial
independence, then all of the
sanitation workers and heavy
construction guys would be the
highest paid people in the land.
If education was key, then all of
the college professors would be
on top. If contemplating and
imagining your way to financial
independence was the answer,
then it would be the philoso-
phers and great thinkers. Alas,
we know that none of these
professions offers a guaranteed
path to millions of dollars.
So was I misled? Lied to?
Or did I just not get it? I truly
dont believe that the people
sharing their messages and
thought processes with me
were lying. They really were
speaking from their hearts, and
they were all correct. But they
had left out one important
ingredient from the recipe to
success: discipline.
You must have the disci-
pline to live below your means,
saving and investing
the difference. You
must have the disci-
pline to work harder
and longer, especially
when you are exhaust-
ed and feel that you
cannot take another
step. You must have
the discipline to realize
that the educational
process never ends
with a degree or desig-
nation; the letters after
your name merely open
the door for an
enhanced understand-
ing of the subject mat-
ter, so you can delve
into it even further.
There is no one single
method to success. There are
many integral components
applied alongside discipline.
Take, for example, F.C.A. It
stands for focus, concentrate
and attack. Focus all your
efforts, strength and thoughts.
Concentrate on that which you
wish to accomplish, then
attack the goal without short-
sightedness or distraction. Its
imperative to create a series of
simultaneous goals that you
can F.C.A. all at the same
time. When one goal is accom-
plished, rapidly replace it with
another goal!
Financial independence,
however you define it, can be
accomplished one dollar at a
time if you never lose
sight of the finish line.
To run a marathon,
you must first master
running the length of
one block. To accumu-
late $10 million, you
must first have a goal
to accumulate $1,000.
When you count your
first $1,000, you can
figure out how to accu-
mulate $100,000: sim-
ply do it again about
another 80 times. The
other $20,000 will
come from the com-
pounded return on the
80 percent with no
additional effort from you.
Repeat this routine about
another eight times and you
will be 80 percent to a cool $1
million. The 20 percent short-
fall will take care of itself once
more. This will put you 10 per-
cent toward your original goal
to accumulate $10 million.
Continue to F.C.A. and in
time, with a little good fortune,
you will realize your goal.
Most people cannot con-
ceptualize a $10 million
account with their name on it
and herein lies the problem.
All of us have the capacity to
see $10,000. When that is in
the bank we can visualize
$100,000 because we are
already 10 percent of the way
there. Repetitive positive
investing and investor behav-
ior is another key to financial
independence.
Discipline was a missing
ingredient from the recipe. But
also important are F.C.A. and
the 7 Ps: Proper Prior

T
he two side effects that
occur most often are a
temporary increase in
tooth sensitivity and mild irri-
tation of the soft tissues of the
mouth, particularly the gums.
Tooth sensitivity often occurs
during early stages of the
bleaching treatment. Tissue
irritation most commonly
results from an ill-fitting
mouthpiece tray rather than
the tooth-bleaching agent.
Both of these conditions usual-
ly are temporary and disappear
within 1 to 3 days of stopping
or completing treatment.
If you do experience sensi-
tivity, you can reduce or elimi-
nate it by:
-Wearing the tray for a shorter
period of time (for example,
two 30-minute sessions versus
two 60-minute sessions)
-Stop whitening your teeth for
two to three days to allow your
teeth to adjust to the whitening
process
-Ask your dentist or pharmacist
for a high fluoride-containing
product, which can help rem-
ineralize your teeth. --Apply
the fluoride product to the tray
and wear for 4 minutes prior to
and following the whitening
agent.
-Brush your teeth with tooth-
paste made for sensitive teeth.
These toothpastes contain
potassium nitrate, which helps
soothe your teeths nerve end-
ings.

ne of the best ways to
prevent or control
cardiovascular disease
is by eating a healthy diet.
Eating a diet rich in fruits, veg-
gies, lean protein and fiber
and, of course, low in greasy fast
food can considerably
reduce the risk of heart disease.
Here are six heart-healthy eat-
ing tips for seniors:
1.Buy colorful fruits and veg-
etables. Adults should get at
least five servings per day of
fruits and vegetables. Make
sure you buy a variety of col-
ored fruits and vegetables to
ensure you get the rainbow of
benefits each color has to offer.
2.Limit high-fat dairy or meat.
Buy skinless cuts of lean meat
with the least amount of visible
fat. Cuts that say loin after
them, like sirloin and tender-
loin, are often leaner cuts. Fatty
fish like salmon or trout can
also help increase the bodys
level of healthy omega-3s.
3.Eat plenty of nuts and high
fiber foods. Fiber can help
lower blood cholesterol and it
keeps you full, which helps you
maintain a healthy weight. You
can find fiber in fruits, veggies,

T
he easiest and least
expensive thing to do
for your customer is to
give them a sales lead. Lets
say your business is security
systems and your customer is
an auto dealer. Where do you
buy your cars and trucks?
Where do your employees buy
their cars and trucks? Do you
have signs up telling employ-
ees this is your customer, who
helps to keep you in business
and to keep them employed?
When you see an employee
with a new car not from that
dealer, do you ask them why?
And when an employee buys
a car from that dealer, did
they tell the dealer you are
an employee of the alarm
company?
By bringing sales to your
customer, you are insulating
yourself against competition.
If I were an auto dealer and a
supplier bought 10 cars this
beans, and whole-grain
breads and cereals, as well
as in nuts.
4.Dont buy butter. Avoiding
butter can help lower choles-
terol. Consider replacing but-
ter with a more healthful
spread like Smart Balance,
Benechol or Promise, which
contain plant sterols, which
may help lower bad cholesterol.
5.Read nutrition labels. Studies
show that people who read
nutrition labels tend to be slim-
mer than those who dont. Its
easy for salt and sugar to sneak
into your diet, especially with
prepared foods, so be sure to
always read the nutrition label.
6.Frozen or canned fruits and
veggies are okay. Remember
that frozen fruits and vegetables
have the same vitamins and
minerals in them. This knowl-
edge makes keeping the
kitchen stocked with choles-
terol- and blood pressure-low-
ering foods a little easier.
Choose unsalted or unsweet-
ened varieties when possible.

Networking: what did you do for your
customers this month? By Philip Doyle

P
et owners go to great
lengths to treat their pets
like members of the fam-
ily. The days of dog houses in
the backyard are largely a thing
of the past, and many pet own-
ers are more careful about what
they feed their four-legged
friends, placing a greater
emphasis on a nutritious diet
that promotes pet health.
Being a proactive pet
owner also means taking pre-
ventive measures to protect
your pets. This includes learn-
ing about rabies, which can
also help protect members of
your household and your com-
munity. Pet owners who learn
about rabies, including its caus-
es and symptoms, are better
equipped to recognize a rabid
animal, and will know to keep
their pets and their children
indoors until its safe to go out-
side.
Rabies is an infectious dis-
ease that can spread from ani-
mals to humans. When an ani-
mal has rabies, the virus travels
through the nerves inside the
brain, where it reproduces and
then travels back through the
nerves to most parts of the
body, including the salivary
glands. When the rabies virus
reaches the salivary glands,
brain damage has likely
occurred and the virus has
infected the saliva, where it can
enter a persons body through a
bite or broken skin.
Humans who contracted
the rabies virus in the past did
so after being bitten by a dog.
However, the Centers for
Disease Control and Preven-
tion note that more and more
causes of human rabies have
been linked to bats and rac-
coons. The Canadian Centre
for Occupational Health and
Safety notes that among
domestic animals, dogs account
for between two and six per-
cent of rabies infections, while
cats are responsible for between
one and two-and-a-half per-
cent of rabies cases. Thanks in
large part to the rabies vaccina-
tion, there have not been any
reports of rabies caused by dog
bites in the U.S. in years.
Rabies can appear in ani-
mals in various ways. When an
animal has furious rabies, it
will change behavior, grow
restless, wander aimlessly and
bite any animals, people or
objects that get in its way
before eventually becoming
paralyzed in its throat and hind
legs. Once that occurs, the ani-
mal will most likely die.
Some animals with
rabies, however, will not
become violent. These ani-
mals will change their behav-
ior, which may become with-
drawn or more affectionate.
Animals may try to hide and
will find it difficult to swallow.
Their behavior will not
become violent, and they are
likely to die after a few days.
The CCOHS notes that
cats infected with the rabies
virus typically become
extremely vicious, while dogs
also become excitable and
may become vicious and bite
for no reason.
Though rare, human
beings can be infected with the
rabies virus. Drooling, convul-
sions, exaggerated sensations or
pain at the bite site, loss of feel-
ing in an area of the body, loss
of muscle function and difficul-
ty swallowing are a few of the
symptoms humans
may exhibit when
infected with the
rabies virus.
Should humans
or their pets be bitten
by an animal, they
should try to gather as
much information as
possible about the
biter and contact animal con-
trol so the animal can be safely
captured to determine if it has
rabies. If there is a risk of rabies,
humans will be given a series of
doses of a preventive vaccine
and a treatment called human
rabies immunoglobulin, or
HRIG, which is administered
the day the bite occurred. Vets
will often quarantine a bitten
pet that has received the rabies
vaccine prior just to monitor
behavior and be safe.
If you are bitten by an ani-
mal, report the incident right
away and contact your physi-
cian immediately. Its also good
to do so if you havent been bit-
ten but were exposed to a bat,
fox or skunk, all of which can
carry the rabies virus.
Incidences of rabies have
dropped dramatically in recent
years, but pet owners should
still take a proactive and pre-
ventive approach to protect
themselves, their loved ones
and their pets.

A
ccording to a new sur-
vey of more than
2,000 Americans
conducted by Coldwell Banker
Real Estate and leading psy-
chotherapist Dr. Robi Ludwig,
Americans dont see eye to eye
about the appropriate amount
of time for adults to live with
parents after college. The sur-
vey found that Americans ages
55 and older think it is accept-
able for adults to live at home
with their parents for as long as
three years, while those ages
1834 feel it is acceptable for
adults to live at home with
their parents for as long as five
years.
Parents Not Ready to Let Go?
Parents as a whole, and
particularly those who are
younger, may be driving the
trend of adults living at home
for a longer period of time.
According to the survey, mil-
lennial parents (ages 18 34)
are fine with grown children
living at home for up to five
years after college, while older
parents (ages 55 and older)
believe they should be out of
the house within three years of
finishing college.
In terms of transitioning
into independent adulthood,
its almost as if 27 is the new
18, said Dr. Ludwig, who also
serves as lifestyle correspon-
dent for Coldwell Banker Real
Estate, LLC. Living at home
can be a great opportunity for
young adults who need some
time to get on their feet, but
its only beneficial if the time is
used wisely. Our twenties are a
very crucial time because the
decisions we make and the les-
sons we learn then influence
who we become as adults.
The Two Extremes of
Boomerang Kids
Dr. Ludwig explains there
are two extremes when analyz-
ing the behaviors of adult chil-
dren living at home: those who
regress, delaying their develop-
ment into independent adults,
and those who are able to con-
tinue their transition into full
adulthood by living at home
with a purpose.
In either case, the accept-
ance of adults living at home
has its limits. According to the
survey, more than two in three
Americans (70 percent) be-
lieve that too many adults liv-
ing at home with their parents
are avoiding responsibility, and
nearly an equal proportion (65
percent) believe too many
young adults who live at home
after finishing college are over-
staying their welcome.
Additional Survey Findings
Its not for everybody.
While Americans are largely
accepting of this living
arrangement, the survey
revealed that nearly one in
seven Americans (13 per-
cent) believe adults should
never live at home with their
parents.
Living at home affects
mom and dad. More than half
of Americans (57 percent)
believe that when children
return home after graduating
from college, it prevents their
parents from moving on with
their lives.
Living at home with a
purpose: Four in five
Americans (80 percent) be-
lieve that its okay for adult
children to live at home if they
are saving money to buy their
own home.
Advice for Parents
When children return
to the nest, Dr. Ludwig rec-
ommends parents establish
and enforce expectations
that will help their adult
children thrive.
Give adult children
responsibility: 92 percent of
Americans agree that adult
children who live at home
with their parents should do
their own chores.
Dont let them live free
of charge: 82 percent of
Americans feel that adult chil-
dren living at home should
pay rent.
Set a target end date:
Close to two in three (65 per-
cent) Americans agree that
adult children who live with
their parents should move out
as soon as they find a job.
The economy may be a

continued on page 16
reason to move home tem-
porarily, but you cant let the
state of the economy get in
the way of living your life,
said Dr. Ludwig. The key to
deciding if this living situa-
tion is right for parents, chil-
dren and families is figuring
out whether or not it will help
the child develop and thrive.
Adult children and their par-
ents should use the time at
home to move forward and
grow, rather than regress and
risk becoming perma-children
or perma-parents.
How Times are Changing
However long they stay at
home, boomerang kids are
changing the traditional
lifestyle milestones for buying
and selling homes impact-
ing themselves as first-time
home-buyers and their down-
sizing parents alike.
A generation or two ago,
young adults would tradition-
ally graduate from college, rent
for a time and then buy their
first home. Their parents
would eventually downsize,
and it was less acceptable for
young adults to move home,
said Budge Huskey, president
and chief executive officer of
Coldwell Banker Real Estate,
LLC. As a real estate brand,
we wanted to better under-
stand the behaviors of the
younger generation, particular-
ly boomerang kids, and how
their lifestyle choices were
influencing the way consumers
view homeownership.
A video summary of the
findings, and the feelings of a
family with a recent college
graduate living at home, is
viewable on the Coldwell
Banker YouTube channel On
Location.
Methodology
This survey was conduct-
ed online within the U.S. by
Harris Interactive on behalf of
CooperKatz from June 1317,
2013 among 2,021 U.S. adult
adults ages 18 and older,
among whom 888 are parents,
467 are parents of children less
than 18 years old and 494 are
parents of children 18 years of
age or older. This online survey
is not based on a probability
sample and therefore no esti-
mate of theoretical sampling
error can be calculated.
Since 1906, the Coldwell
Banker organization has been a
premier provider of full-service
residential and commercial
real estate. Coldwell Banker is
the oldest national real estate
brand in the United States and
today has a network of more
than 82,000 sales agents work-
ing in approximately 3,100
offices in 51 countries and ter-
ritories. The Coldwell Banker
brand is known for creating
innovative consumer services
as recently seen by being the
first national real estate brand
to create an iPad application
and the first to fully harness
the power of video in real
estate listings, news and infor-
mation through its Coldwell
Banker On Location
YouTube channel. The
Coldwell Banker system is a
leader in specialty markets
such as resort, new homes and
luxury properties through its
Coldwell Banker Previews
International marketing pro-
gram. Coldwell Banker Real

principles of the Fair Housing
Act and the Equal
Opportunity Act. Each office
is independently owned and
operated. Coldwell Banker is a
subsidiary of Realogy Holdings
Corp. (NYSE: RLGY), a glob-
al leader in real estate franchis-
ing and provider of real estate
brokerage, relocation and set-
tlement services.

A
re you depressed,
despairing, or con-
vinced there is no way
out of a difficult situation or
health crisis? Dr. Jim Henry,
D.Min., founder and president
of the Life Givers Network, has
years of experience helping
people and families devastated
by life-threatening or life-alter-
ing illnesses, and he can help
you gain a fresh perspective on
how to handle your crisis
whatever it may be.
Jims time-tested work-
shop Steps to Extraordinary
Living can help you and your
loved ones. The next workshop
will be offered Saturday, Sept.
14 at Calvary Temple in
Wayne.
Many members of Jims
family have battled various
cancers and other major dis-
eases, so Jim knows firsthand
how illness can impact a family.
As soon as the doctor delivers
the news of a significant illness,
seeds of hopelessness, anxi-
ety, fear, loss, pain and despair
are scattered in the minds and
hearts of patients and family
members alike. Those seeds
seek to take root, grow and
dominate.
But those negative emo-
tions dont have to win.
Patients and their fami-
lies need to know they are not
alone. Statistics for 2013 indi-
cate that every day in our
nation an estimated 4,383
people are diagnosed with
some form of cancer. An addi-
tional 9,589 Americans learn
they have heart disease, multi-
ple sclerosis, Parkinsons dis-
ease, Alzheimers, or some
other major illness. Thats
13,972 people daily whose
lives will never be the same
due to a significant, life-
threatening, life-altering ill-
ness. Countless others, friends
and family of those who learn
they are seriously ill, begin a
journey of suffering as well.
Many people are finding
help from the principles pre-
sented in Steps to
Extraordinary Living. During
the workshop, Jim and others
from the Life Givers Network
help people gain new insight
and a fresh perspective on truly
difficult issues. These people
are helped by Jims principles of
early, intentional, life-oriented,
people-focused intervention.
Joe Battaglia, president of
Renaissance Communica-
tions, who has known Jim for
many years, said: Jims work is
not just inspiring or motiva-
tional, its transformational.
The workshop will equip
you for positive action in nega-
tive situations. Jim and Life
Givers offer the tools necessary
to see your health or life crisis
as a new beginning, rather than
the painful beginning of the
end. Jim can also help you
maintain faith in the midst of
heart-wrenching questions
about God and the reality of
your suffering.
God really does want you
to have life and have it more
abundantly, Jim said. Even
when the circumstances are
screaming otherwise, I want
you to know what to do, what
to say, and how to avoid the
negative emotions that want to
take over and rule your life at
times like these.
Joy Twillie, M.D, a psychi-
atrist from Nashville, TN, said,
I had the honor of attending
one of Jims Life Givers
Network workshops and imme-
diately saw how the book and
program provide a bridge
between the spiritual and the
physical. Jim offers physicians a
way to help patients that wont
contradict the medical treat-
ments they are receiving.
Let Jim show you how to
move from devastation to
extraordinary living. The work-
shop will be held in the sanctu-
ary of Calvary Temple, 1111
Preakness Ave in Wayne on
Saturday Sept. 14 from
9am1pm. Early registration
and more information can
be found at www.tlgn.org.
Registration on the day of the
event begins at 8:30am. If you
have questions, please contact
the Life Givers Network at
201-670-0031 or write to Life
Givers, P.O. Box 110, Midland
Park, NJ 07432.

S
ubway has become
famous worldwide for
serving a variety of
healthy subs and salads made
from freshly baked bread and
fresh ingredients. Some of its
menu options have even been
sanctioned by the American
Heart Association. The
restaurant is known for mak-
ing all sandwiches and salads
exactly to taste, right in front
of the customers.
Each Subway is individu-
ally owned and operated
by independent franchisees.
Mohammad Ahmed, the new
owner of Subway on Newark-
Pompton Turnpike in Peq-
uannock, promises that in his
store, you will really enjoy the
difference.
Many of you have very
limited time, so my first objec-
tive is to train every member
of my staff to be friendly,
attentive and, above all,
prompt, said Ahmed.
Last year, Ahmed won the
award for Single Unit Owner
of the Year in North America.
Now he is bringing his expert-
ise, enthusiasm and vision for
success to the Pequannock
location. Success, however,
isnt possible without the cus-
tomers. Ahmed encourages
patrons to offer comments or to
discuss concerns with his team
at any time.
Your recommendation
to others is important to grow
the business, he said. With
your valuable personal input,
we promise 100 percent satis-
faction with each and every
repeat visit here.
While Ahmeds primary
goal is to guarantee the highest
level of customer satisfaction,
he also says to expect constant
improvements in his restau-
rants cleanliness and perform-
ance standards. And this is
just the beginning! he said.
For value and variety,
Subway is one of the most
popular restaurants in the
world. In 2010 the restaurant
surpassed McDonalds as the
largest fast food chain world-
wide.
If you have any ques-
tions, please call the store at
973-706-6435. Stop in to
eat fresh at 166 Newark-
Pompton Turnpike in
Pequannock.

year, that supplier would be in
there like concrete, no matter
the price.
Has your customer come
to you to ask you about rec-
ommending another suppli-
er? Yes, it is a pain in the
neck to call someone you
know and refer them. How
many times have they
referred you? Are you keep-
ing score? Why not? If you
tell your customer you dont
know and someone else does,
that supplier might know
someone who does what you
do. That is the real cost of not
referring someone to your cus-
tomer. It would be great to
have five to 10 vendors at
your customer. Again, you are
insulating yourself against
competition. But more impor-
tantly, you are now the go-to
guy for your customer. And
instead of lowering prices, you
can actually think of increas-
ing them.

S
ometimes, we see only
what we are looking for.
In 1860, Abe Lee was
looking for gold. He struck in
the small Rocky Mountain
town of Leadville, Colorado,
aptly named for the huge quan-
tities of lead carbonite that
seemed to be everywhere.
News spread quickly of the gold
strike, causing a boom and bust
in population. The ore petered
out relatively quickly and, of
course, the miners followed
news of the next strike.
But they had missed
something.
The massive amounts of
lead carbonite contained silver
large percentages of it. Just a
few years later, in the mid
1870s, the town had produced
millionaires like Horace and
Baby Doe Tabor, as well as JJ
Brown and his famous unsink-
able wife, Molly.
At the height of its pro-
duction, the Matchless Mine
produced over $2,000 of high-
grade silver every day more
than $7 million over its life-
time. This was at a point in his-
tory when the average
American worker labored for
about one dollar a day.
The silver had always
been there, but people ignored
it because they were focused on
something else. And thats the
point. We see only what we are
looking for. So what are you
looking for? What opportuni-
ties are hiding in plain sight?

Planning Prevents Poor
Performance Period. I have
lived my life by these truisms
and I even trademarked them
while designing the Trinity
Method of Investing, allowing
my clients to maximize their
income today while protecting,
preserving and perpetuating
their wealth for tomorrow.
Today, the Charnet fam-
ily is financially independent
as a result of practicing these
principles. Should you desire
a guided tour of the applica-
tion of these strategies, save
the dates of our free upcom-
ing retirement and estate-
planning workshop series, to
be held at 901 Route 23
South in Pompton Plains
from September 2426. Stop
in to say hello, and see for
yourself how you can benefit
from the application of disci-
pline. Watch for our green
flyer in this paper with all of
the details or, better yet, just
call APG today to reserve
your seats. Space is limited so
sign up your friends and fam-
ily first!
Mark E. Charnet is President

ment and estate-planning fields.

Risks associated with teeth whitening
ADA Seal of Acceptance,
which indicates that the prod-
uct has met ADA guidelines for
safety and effectiveness.
Currently, only dentist-dis-
pensed home-use products con-
taining 10% carbamide perox-
ide and office-applied products
containing 35% hydrogen per-
oxide have received the ADA
Seal of Acceptance. No over-
the-counter products have
received the Seal of
Acceptance. Over-the-counter
bleaching products are not
endorsed by the ADA because
the organization believes that
professional consultation is
important to ensuring safe and
effective use. No whitening
products using lasers currently
are on the ADAs list of accept-
ed products. Several whitening
toothpastes that are available
over-the-counter have received
the ADA Seal of Acceptance.
For a list of specific toothpastes
that have gained the ADAs
Seal of Acceptance, visit:
www.ada.org/prof/prac/seal/ind
ex.html
It should be noted that
not all manufacturers seek the
ADAs Seal of Acceptance.
This is a voluntary program
that requires considerable
expense and time on the part of
a manufacturer. Just because a
product does not have the
ADA Seal of Acceptance does
not necessarily mean that the
product is not safe and effec-
tive. You can be assured, how-
ever, that products that do
carry the seal have meet the
ADAs standards for safety and
effectiveness when used as
directed.
Teeth whiteners are not
drugs and therefore are not reg-
ulated by the FDA.
