OMT 45 Compatibility Resolution for Windows Vista/7 1. Go into Control Panel and uninstall your USB/DB9 adapter drivers.

2. Select the driver that is for your USB/DB9 adapter and uninstall it. (May also be helpful for you to have your cable disconnected during this procedure.) 3. Insert your disc driver for the USB/DB9 adapter or locate the driver if already on your hard drive.

4. Right click on the driver and select properties. A window similar to the below should appear.

5. Under the Compatibility tab Place a check mark in Run this program in compatibility mode. Click Apply then OK. 6. Now right click on the driver/setup file and select Run as Admin 7. Proceed with installation wizard. 8. Disconnect from internet access. (this will prevent drivers from auto updating) 9. Connect your USB/DB9 cable back in and this should allow the cable to locate the drivers you recently installed.
