UNIVERSITY EXAMINATIONS - IMPORTANT INSTRUCTIONS TO CANDIDATES

FOR FUTURE REFERENCE

1. Application Form- Examination Time Table- Examination Centre Notification-Publication of


Results - will be made available in the Web sites: www.pmu.edu as and when they are ready.

2. Examination Centres: Please write the name of the centre with code number herein
you want to have your written Examinations.

4. Candidates appearing for first year or second year examination, at the first time should pay
exam fees for all the papers prescribed. Final year candidates should pay compulsory a sum
of Rs 600/- towards (Provisional and consolidated mark statement) along with the exam fees.

5. Mode of Payment:
All payment of fees shall be made by way of IOB (Indian Overseas Bank) in triplicate
Challan without any Service Charge A/c No. 7 , Branch Code No.1961, PMU Branch,
Pillaiyarpatti..(COADE copy of the challan should be submitted) or Account payee Demand
Draft, drawn from any one of the scheduled banks (payable at Thanjavur) in favour of The
Registrar, Periyar Maniammai University, Vallam,Thanjavur. The Name and Place of Bank,
Demand Draft Number, Date of Payment and amount should be mentioned in the application
form. On the reverse side of the DD please write your Name, Register Number, and Name of the
Course. The Candidates are directed to keep xerox copies of the above, for future reference. The
fees once paid will not be refunded or held over for subsequent Examinations.
. The filled in Examination application along with Challan or Demand Draft, is to be sent to The
Controller of Examinations, Periyar Maniammai University, Vallam, Thanjavur, Tamil
Nadu, India, PIN –613403 by Registered Post/Courier. On the left hand top corner of the
envelope write ‘COADE’ followed by the Course Name and Centre Code.
9. No incriminating materials should be carried inside the Examination hall.
10. Last Date for Admission and Submission of Application Forms.
The Examinations will be held during the months of May (Main Examination) and
November (Supplementary Examination) every year.

Incomplete and Late Applications will be rejected. The University will not be responsible for
loss or delay due to postal or any other reason. No correspondence in this regard will be
