This manual will guide you through your early days in Smilyo
COMPENSATION
SMILYO offers Respect | Pride and not Stipend
Certificates are awarded to every member who serves the society for a period of at least six months Members who bring a change are felicitated annually along with promotions
RECRUITMENT POLICY
Smilyo recognises a robust and professional approach to recruitment and all appointments are made on the Principle of Merit
Smilyo follows two recruitment cycles in a year ie January and August and recruits people from all across the country Recruitment is followed by an Induction Meet where every recruit is given an insight into the society and gives them an opportunity to interact with the founder members
HR POLICY
Every intern will be allotted a BUDDY who would guide the intern through their problems in the organisation
A department lunch will be organised by every department known as the ICE BREAKING session Every intern will have a one on one session with any director of their choice in the organisation for a better learning experience
PERFORMANCE MANAGEMENT
Performance Management is an ongoing process and its purpose is holistic development of the individual. It includes both formal and informal review. All members will undergo a formal performance review with their departmental heads at the end of every project that the department handles during the year
Procedure
The departmental heads will meet all the members on a specified date and openly and constructively discuss performance over the period The manager and the employee will agree and set objectives and outcomes for the next project
Outside of this formal process, members are encouraged to raise any issues they have when they arise.
Similar procedure will be followed for evaluating the performance of all departmental heads once every 6 months
REDRESSAL SYSTEM
Smilyo supports the right of every member to lodge a grievance with the HR Head if they believe a decision, behaviour or action taken by their departmental heads or a fellow smilyon is unfair. A member may raise a grievance and the name would be kept confidential. We aim to resolve problems and grievances promptly and as close to the source as possible. When necessary, a grievance will be escalated to the next higher level of authority for more discussion and resolution, and continue until it is resolved. The HR Head will do their utmost to action grievances objectively, discreetly and promptly.
