The conference is being held from April 10 th to April 13th and we would like you, Ali, to be there throughout the whole conference. You have been chosen to go as a representative as CY Marketing Solutions because of your recent work on the Daily Brew Coffee account, which was very impressive. The conference is about marketing coffee and coffee products. We would like you to report back on how Daily Brew is operating in the AsiaPacific market. The conference is being held at the Hilton Hotel in Sydney. You will need to register in the lobby before 9am on the first day. You will receive an information pack at that stage. After you have registered, you will need to attend an opening presentation in the main conference hall on the ground floor towards the back near the lifts. While you are at the presentation you will need to introduce yourself to the marketing representative of Valentino Catering Machinery and arrange a meeting for April 12 th. His name is Michael James. If you cannot contact him, you could try his associate Elizabeth Wood. Once the opening presentation is over, you will be split up into small groups to hear presentations on various themes. You will be taking part in the trade marketing group which will meet in Conference Room 2 in the afternoon. You will be discussing general marketing strategies. That evening you will be picked up from the hotel at 7.30pm and taken to dinner at the Kuwait Embassy. The dinner starts at 8pm and it is a black-tie dinner so you will need to take along an appropriate suit. On the second day, April 11 th, you will be collected from the hotel at 10am by a representative of Lavaza Coffee and taken on a tour of their factory and packaging facility. We expect that this tour will take most of the morning and in the afternoon we have arranged for you to play golf with the managing director of a new chain of cafes called Another Cup? Your contact will be Mr John Davidson and he will meet you at the hotel at 2pm. Your evening is then free. You might like to eat out or go to a show. On the final day of the conference, you will hopefully be meeting Mr. James of the Valentino Company. We want you to look at their product line and their possible expansion into the Middle East. If possible, order several of their machines and arrange their delivery before the end of the month. Once you have done this, you are free for the rest of the day, however you do need to attend a conference breakfast the following morning at 8am before your flight. Now remember, Fatma is currently on holidays so you will need to make your own travel arrangements. Look into flights and accommodation and youd better check if you need a visa for Australia. If you want, you can take your wife with you on this trip, but of course you will have to pay for her to go along.
