Training Course "WE BET ON OUR NET"

This project is aiming at building capacities of the youth organisations and their members to bring into the practice relevant aspects of network and networking, such as good governance, communication within the network, image building of a network, fundraising for the network and impact of networks on youth work and youth support systems.

The main topic of the Training:


1. network bodies and their roles 2. good governance a. descission making efficiency, b. regulating documents, c. emotional and rational involvement in the network etc 3. communication (how to communicate verbal/non verbal)/tools in communication building the identity and uniqueness of the network, balance of interest between member and network interests, active participation in network; 4. impact of the network on youth work and local community 5. fundraising

Profile of the Participants:


Age between 18 and 30 (few exceptions allowed); Motivated for and aware of the TC theme, aim and objectives; Able to work in English; Ready and willing to share gained knowledge and experience with the members of his/her organization and community; Able to actively attend and participate during entire duration of the TC, in all the sessions.

Official language of the Training:


English.

Venue and Logging:


Venue of the participant will be the town of Vukovar. Organisers will provide accommodation, 3 meals and 2 coffee breaks per day. All additional meals, drinks and other personal spending, participants will cover for themselves. More information will be provided in INFOSHEET to the selected participants.

Travel Costs:
70% of the total travel costs will be reimbursed ONLY for the cheapest way of transport; Travel costs will be reimbursed by bank transfer after submission of travel documents from participants side; Travel by car will be reimbursed with prior approval of organizers! Participants must keep all travel documents (tickets, gas bills, travel agency invoices and boarding passes) as organizers are able to make any reimbursement only on the bases of presented documents.

Visa Costs:
100% of total visa costs will be reimbursed by bank transfer together with travel costs.

Deadline for applications: Monday 12th of August 2013.


ONLY COMPLITED registration forms will be admitted. Registration forms sent after the deadline will NOT be accepted and as the organizers, we will automatically search for another partner organization. Also, in the case that chosen participant cancel his/her presence on the Training, the sending organization is required to replace him/her as soon as possible with another member of their NGO.

The participants will receive confirmation and detailed Info-sheet by Monday 19th of August 2013.

In this training you will:


Understand what is networking, network structure, various levels of networks (from local to global) and possibilities for and impact of networking on youth organizations, clubs and information centers; Discuss values, principles, benefits/threats of networking and create common understanding of positive impact that European youth networking has on individuals, groups and societies; Gain necessary skills, knowledge and attitudes of good governance of NGOs and networks. Have possibility to exchange different experiences, approaches, practices, methodologies and tools of involvement of young people in activities and organization/network; Gain competences needed to understand and further develop networks sustainability and fundraising; Increase communication competences to be able to prepare, present and negotiate ideas; Get knowledge about image building of organization/network; Learn what is pan networking and get overview of main current global initiatives in youth field; Get empowered to multiply effects of this training course in their organizations/networks Have chance to start cooperation with the other participants from different European countries

Host and Organizer:


Youth Peace Group "Danube" (YPGD) is a non-profit, non-governmental organisation, operating in the area of the city of Vukovar and its surroundings. Our goal is to, through selfdevelopment, character building and networking, promote the work of young people, as well as emancipation of individualism and personal freedoms. We have great experience in the field of youth work and good contacts with many international and national organisations and networks. www.ypgd.org South East European Youth Network (SEEYN) is a network organisation involving 15 member NGOs from Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Kosovo (UNSCR1244), Macedonia, Montenegro, Serbia and Slovenia. It is an attempt of overcoming differences among societies that have recent tradition of conflicts through bringing young people from the entire South Eastern Europe region to work together. The vision of SEEYN is to achieve a stable region with developed mutual understanding without prejudices among young people through their mobility, co-operation, and active role in society.
