Swamp Stomper Adventure Race (2-4 Hour Adventure Race): 3-Person Teams or Pot-Luck Teams will be challenged on a marked

course by 9-14 miles mountain biking, 2-4 miles trail running, and 3-6 miles canoeing. Race will last 2-4 hours. All category winners will be awarded according to Field Depth. Prizes include OMOD Gear, gift cards, vouchers, and Sponsor donations. Schedule Friday April 29, 2011 10:00am 11:30am: Check-In 11:30am: Pre-Race Briefing 12:00pm: Race Start 5:00pm: Race Finish Directions From I-55, take exit 243-A in Batesville, MS and travel 21 miles east o MS Highway 6 towards Oxford, MS. Turn left at West Oxford exit onto West Jackson Avenue and travel approximately 3 miles. Turn left onto MS highway 314 and travel Approximately 13 miles to Clear Creek Recreation Area. Follow signs for parking. Lodging Clear Creek Area Camping Class A Camping - Amenities: A waterborne toilet/showers, water/electrical hookups, and sanitary disposal station $10 per night, first come/first served unless reserved through the National Recreation Reservation System (1-800-444-6777 or www.recreation.gov Class D Camping - Amenities: A portable toilet, tent pad, table and grill provided. REGISTRATION: Team Registration: Teams must consist of three participants, at least one of which is of the opposite gender (ex. 2 males and 1 female). Individual Registration: You may sign up without a team to participate. Participants who sign-up under an individual registration will be assigned a team prior to race day. If we are unable to provide you with a team under the race requirements you may still participate as an all male/female team or as a 2 person, coed/male/female team. Individuals who register early will be notified of their team assignments by April 8, 2011. Individual registration closes April 8, 2011.

RACE CHECK-IN AND START TIMES: Teams can check in at the University of Mississippi, Turner Center on Thursday, April 28, 2011 between 6:00pm 7:30pm Teams can check in at the race site on Friday, April 29, 2011 between 10:00am - 11:00am Pre race meeting is at 11:30am Race starts at 12:00pm Directions to Turner Center, University of Mississippi Directions to Race Site (Sardis Lake, MS Clear Creek Area) TRANSITION AREA: There will be a central transition area where teams can set up. During the race, the teams will pass through this area several times making it possible to reload on food, water, change clothes, etc. There are several legs in this race including mountain biking, trail running and paddling. There are no water stations along the course. Teammates must remain in visual contact with each other at all times. Teams will be provided with course maps & will be required to navigate to the respective check points during the race. The entire course will be marked for all race legs. The paddling is on a lake. If a team member drops out the remaining team members may continue as an unofficial team.
