Lock + Wallpaper

There will be a new content type on server for Lock Screen where user can upload n number of images to be applied on lock screen. The web service API of hot picks will be modified to create one more item at the end of response for the content type lock screen. This content type will always appear at the end. This is out of max 8 content type logic. We will create a new page with image thumbnail and checkbox (data displayed here will be for content type lock screen) on client side from where user can select the images from all available images to be applied for lock screen. Where the image will be applied as lock screen image will depend on the setting option. We will create a setting page inside application that will have toggle switch to enable/disable lock screen image. On the setting page of phone, if user selects FHM India and clicks Launch app the lock screen page should open.

Live updating of main tile (Wide tile)

The image for main tile will be application image. The opposite side of this image will display the title/subtitle of last modified content for the category hot picks. This tile cannot be created by application. If user manually creates this tile, update will appear. Update duration may take maximum of 30 minutes to update, because background agent runs every 30 minute. Standard background agent limitation applies in this case.

Secondary tiles created for any content type will be updated every 30 minutes by background agent. Standard background agent limitation applies in this case.

Swiping on main screen will lead to hot picks

If user swipes from right to left on main screen, user will go to hot picks page. This will behave similar to more for him button

Swiping on cover story will change the image and text

If user swipes from right to left in the image area on cover story screen, image and text will change. This will behave similar to down arrow button.

Interaction and transitions

The transition and interaction from tile content should be similar to ppt screen shared earlier. We are not sure about how this will work. I will update you later.

Other Items
This is image alignment issue on cover story page. For every content type, when the image is overlapped by text, we use to go back to original mode. This will be replaced by an image that client will provide us. Wide tile for gallery Switching between different content types: There will be an image on the bottom of every content type to move to the next item of hot picks. By this way, user does not need to go back to hot screen page to move to new content type.
