com FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE 4th Annual CUREageous Event to Benefit Illinois CancerCare Foundation PEORIA, Ill. October 14, 2013- The Illinois CancerCare Foundation is hosting its 4th annual CUREageous event on Friday, November 8, 2013 at the Par-a-Dice Hotel from 6:00-midnight. Tickets to this outrageous event are $125 each or $1000 for a Party Pack of 10 tickets. Tickets include entrance to the event, heavy hors doevres and complimentary beer and wine until 9:00pm. CUREageous will feature entertainment from the Gamma Phi Circus, City Dance and the West MacQueen Street Band. Guests will also have a chance to win one of three fabulous raffle items. The first, a shearling fur stroller valued at $4,500 generously donated by Broms Furs & Fashions. The second item is a $2,495 18-karat white golf pendant crafted with 44 individual glimmering white diamonds generously donated by Bremer Jewelry. The third item is a Chicago Getaway for Two valued at $1,000 which includes dinner, a Bulls basketball game and an evening at the Ritz-Carlton Hotel. Raffle tickets are $50 each or 3 for $100. CUREageous also honors area physicians who excel in their field of research. Foundation President, Dr. Gregory Gerstner, will present the 2013 Rock Docs Awards. The recipients of the 2013 Rock Doc awards are: Dr. Pankaj Kumar, Bloomington Specializes in oncology-hematology and is a physician at Illinois CancerCare, P.C. Dr. William Tillis, Peoria Specializes in pulmonary/critical care and is a physician at the Illinois Lung Institute. Dr. Revathi Swaminathan, Peoria Specializes in radiation oncology and is a physician UnityPoint Health-Methodist. Dr. David Trachtenbarg, Peoria Specializes in family medicine/diabetes care and is a physician UnityPoint Health-Methodist. Dr. Matthew Scheidt, Peoria Specializes in vascular/interventional radiology and is a physician at Central Illinois Radiological Associates, Ltd.
