Bake Out - Next Sunday

Don’t forget to prepare your yummy baked goods for the Bake Out
Ministry next Sunday, June 28. Please drop them off in the
Breezeway to be distributed to local businesses.

The need for men of prayer, integrity, conviction and action is
greater than ever. Our churches and families need men who are
committed to prayer. Our communities need Christians who will
stand up and proclaim Jesus Christ with conviction and
compassion. A world with misplaced values needs men who are
fueled by God’s Spirit and who are compelled to bring light into a
dark world.
We want to proclaim loud and clear that “A MAN’S MAN IS A
GODLY MAN.” A godly man is a man who is dependent on God
and who expresses his dependence in a life of prayer. Only men
of prayer will be able to access the necessary power to effect
change in themselves and maximize their abilities to impact
others.
A relationship with God, strengthened by prayer and Scripture, is
the answer to this dilemma. I am awed by the reality that I can
freely converse with the Almighty God - the Creator of the
Universe - through His Son, Jesus Christ! At any place, during any
time, I can freely pray to Him as a son talks to his father.
Through daily prayer and reading the Bible, Almighty God
softens a man’s heart, shapes his character, roots out sin in his
life, and gives him direction and purpose. A life of prayer is
foundational for a man who wants to run on all cylinders for God.
