    Steel Guitar Tuning of Don Helms

    Don Helms used a special tuning to get his signature Hank Williams sound. Each
    neck tuned to a specific tensioned chord using an interesting variation of wound
    and unwound strings. Don's choice of slide and fingerpicks added just the right
    touch of personality to his instantly recognizable sound. When you factor in the
    character, the heart and soul, and a genius for playing exactly what each song
    longed for; you get something akin to wonderful: The legendary, Hall of Fame
    steel guitar sound of Don Helms.
