What is a spastic colon and what are the symptoms of spastic colon?
Spastic colon is also a typical f unctional colon problem wherein af f ected people may have no irregularity in terms of anatomical structure but may experience problems associated with how the digestive system works. With this spastic bowel condition, the f unction of the intestine is disrupted. Hence, individuals with IBS are not prone to develop other serious disease conditions of the gastrointestinal tract because of the f act that spastic colon alone does not cause intestinal damage. According to physicians, this is not a serious disease but it is merely a cluster of symptoms that seems to af f ect the colon. T his problem can come out at any age but is more common to adolescents and young adults. Women are twice most likely to develop the problem than men.
