STATEMENT OF PURPOSE

I would like to introduce myself as one of the aspirants in pursuing Masters Degree program in the challenging field of Computer Science at your esteemed University. My name is Nitya Kondakindi and I am resident of Hyderabad.Iam pursuing my final year of college(undergraduate) in Computer Science and Information Technology. I have strong conviction that a good graduate program is indispensable for realizing my professional ambition. An insight into the course contents of your university Suggests excellent facilty,facilities and flexible curriculum that will help me in achieving my long-term ambitions.Moreover the prescence of stimulating academic environment and a graduate program comprising of quality course work has influenced my decision to pursue graduate studies at your university. I am from a educated middle class family and my parents have been a tremendous influence in my life. They have always taught me to aspire for excellence and to strive hard to achieve it. I was strongly drawn towards science during my schooling, and decided to opt for higher studies in Engineering. My firm determination and my mother's constant support to acquire the acme of knowledge have resulted in my journey so far. I was lucky enough to get into one of the good Schools in our city for my initial education. Throughout my School I was placed among the top five ranks. After school I chose engineering since application-oriented study always excited me. I secured a rank in the top 10% of over 100,000 students. I was always fascinated towards the new developments in the field of Computers. So I choose Computers Science as my major in undergraduate course at one of the premier institutions in the State. My undergraduate study course in Computer Science and Information Technology covers all the necessary subjects required to pursue my graduate study with computer science as the major.My quest for knowledge was never confined to the course works done at university.Driven by the zeal, I kept myself abreast of the latest developments in the field of Computers,Digital Speech and Image processing,Real-time Systems and voice over Internet Telephony by referring international journals. In my undergraduate course, I was acquainted with subjects like Advanced Data Structures, Operating systems, Distributed Databases,Computer organization. This has driven me to pursue a challenging career in Computers field.Coming to my extra curricular activities I participated in many Technical seminars and debates.I have gained the excellent understanding of all the basics of Computer Science and Information Technology subjects like Computer Architecture, Interfacing through Microprocessors, Distributed databases, Operating Systems, Software Engineering, Data Mining & Warehousing, Computer Organization, Unified Modelling Language, Multimedia & Web Design, Data Communications and Computer networks. Vathsalya Institute of Science and Technology which is associated with Jawaharlal Nehru Tecnological University(J.N.T.U) where I am studying my

undergradute studies is one of the prestigious and sought after technical institution for the undergraduate studies.During these 4 year undergraduate study (on run), I have been in ana environment where creativity and new concepts were sccepted and argued about.We were given certain projects to complete and most of them were purely analytical and realized the students ability to think and analyze the situation;this sort of teaching instilled in us a scheduled thinking which helped us to see further than the goal itself. After thorough inspection and contemplation of the graduate programs offered by many institutions, I came to realize that your university would provide the most favourable environment that matches my aspirations and academic goals along with the financial aspects.Ability is of little account without opportunity is a statement that I have tried to live by.An admission into the program offered by your university would not only make my dream of working in the field of computers , but also a financial aid would lubricate the wheels of this process and put my career ina a place of prestige. The immense potential of Computer Science Engineering is evident from the tremendous growth achieved by IT industry over the past few decades. I feel there are many more aspects of the living world that we have not yet comprehended.We have barely gone to the edges of our universe and there are many more miles to be conquered.As a Computer Science Engineer,I am particularly enticed by the challenges posed in the acquisition of speed,precision and sophistication coupled with the continual advancements in Computer Sciences worldwide. Current advances in innovative research and rapid developments are taking place in U.S.Thus,I am very keen on pursuing my studies towards Masters Degree in areas of Computer Programming.Also,I strongly believe that my training for the pursuit of my masters program will give me a solid Engineering background and keep me abreast with latest technical developments. I look forward to pursuing my work towards Masters degree both as a means of refining my knowledge and acquiring and improving new technical skills in areas of my interest.I also hope to broaden my horizons in the direction of my future career goal of becoming a research professional at an academic or research oriented organization with an eventual goal of making significant original contributions. My objective is to launch myself on a career of active research in these fields. I sincerely feel that a Graduate course work at your institute, under the guidance of your renowned faculty will enable me to refine, enlarge and deepen my knowledge and

expertise and help me achieve and advance my career goals. I conclude by saying that I have an ardent desire to learn and to contribute.
