On March 7, 2012, at I :58 p.m., defendant Zachary Barker Coughlin, an attorney and
self-represented Litigant in the instant traffic citation case, began fax -filing a 224-page
document to the Reno Municipal Court purponing to seek variou and sundry types of relief
from this court on a Boul :vard top" traffic citation matter. He labeled his docwnent " otice
of Appeal of ummary Contempt Order; Motion to Return Personal Property Confiscated by
Reno unicipaJ Court and Its Mar hals; Motion for ew Trial and to Alter or Amend
ummary Contempt Order." aid document was filed by the Clerk of the Coun, after much
disruption to the court operations.
The court herein issues this Order sua sponte to prevent the plaintiff, Reno City
Anomey, from devoting any additional time or re ources to thi document, and to relieve the
plaintiff from any burden of attempting to respond to said docwnenl. Likewise, the court staff
relieved of any obligation to further deal with thi aberrant document.
The court find that the defendant has failed to follow proper legal procedure in
preparin and filing a mice of Appeal, or motion with appropriate citations to the record, the
facts and the applicable law, and argument thereof, and has blatantly abused the court ' s fax-
ftIing process offered for the convenience of parties appearing in this court. Furthermore, the
