Classes for Kids September 30-November 22, 2013


Ceramics, Pottery, Clay, and Mud
Students will learn the basics of ceramics and explore a variety of techniques. We will use many different types of clay and glaze to create functional and sculptural projects.The nal project will feature a dinner plate, bowl, and tumbler. All supplies included. $100. Fridays 7:00-8:30pm (ages 8-12) Instructor - Samantha Damon - Potter and Teacher

Cupcake Academy
Learn to design and decorate the most amazing cupcakes! Each day we will focus on a different creative cupcake themeanimals, landscape, self-portrait, etcculminating in a large table sized cupcake sculpture on the last class. All supplies included. $90. Saturdays 1:00-2:15pm (ages 8-12) Instructor - Nina Lentzner, Certied Cupcake Queen

Lego Architecture
Create amazing skyscrapers, castles, hotels, and anything else you can imagine. Work with a professional to build and learn about architecture, both local and international. We will focus on a ginormous group project as well as several smaller creations. The class may take a couple architecture eld trips to walkable locations in Downtown Bennington. All supplies included. $100. Wednesdays 3:45-5:15pm (ages 8-14) Instructor - Tod Benner, Centerline Architects

Clay Play, Coffee, and Cocoa


Accompany your child in this fun exploration of clay. Each class we'll have a different group project, but also plenty of time for parents and kids to create, experiment, and explore at their own pace. Plus, each week features a different delectable coffee from around the world. All supplies included. $85. Sundays 9:00-10:00am (parent and child 4-6) Instructors - KC Tiffany, Potter and Nina Lentzner, MFA/mom of three

Monsters on Canvas
Use your wildest imagination painting creatures to life on canvas. Real monsters, imaginary monsters, maybe just your inner monster. Both novice and intermediate painters are welcome imagination is the only prerequisite. All supplies included. $100. Saturdays 10:30am-12:00 (ages 9-13) Instructor - Matthew Rice, Mount Anthony Middle School Teacher

Inkers Inc.
We will discover the art and science of printmaking. Students will experiment with a variety of objects to print with, explore color and texture, learn a variety of printmaking processes, and bring home a lot of fun projects. All supplies included. $90. Thursdays 3:45-5:00pm (ages 6-8) Instructor - Nina Lentzner, MFA

Smartphone Photography
Students will learn the basics as well as advanced techniques for mastering smartphone photography. We will focus on how composition and technology contribute to making beautiful photography, and plan to take a few walking photo-shoots around Downtown Bennington. Must have your own smartphone. $90. Tuesdays 3:45-5:00pm (ages 13-17) Instructor - Joey Kulkin, Photojournalist and Editor
