Dear Future NVP,

I would like to take this opportunity to personally welcome you to Arbonne! Congratulations on
making a wonderful decision that - should you choose - will affect your future profoundly! As
your sponsor, my goal is to help you succeed and the first step I would like to take is to review
this “Key to Success” with you.

This binder gives you a glimpse of the activity and tools you will need to reach the top with
Arbonne! It is our company culture that “where there is a will, there is a way”. The intention of
this “Key” is to show you the “way”, all you need to have is the “will”.

Code Of Ethics
As An Arbonne Independent Consultant I Will:

[1] I will conduct myself with integrity and responsibility and will make the Golden Rule the
cornerstone on which I build my business.

[2] I will uphold the values of Arbonne International and not engage in any deceptive, unlawful,
or unethical consumer or recruiting practice that may be detrimental or reflect poorly on
Arbonne International, the network marketing industry or me. I will support and advocate the
Policies and Procedures and also respect the spirit and intent in which they were written.

[3] I will familiarize myself with Arbonne's SuccessPlan and products and represent them to my
Clients and prospective Independent Consultants realistically and without misleading or
providing false expectations. Any claims, representations or statements I make regarding
Arbonne will be those included in the Arbonne literature.

[4] I will, to my best ability, accept and fulfill the responsibilities to train, motivate, support and
encourage all in my SuccessLine. I will treat my business like any other prestigious enterprise
and will fulfill commitments I make to my Clients, fellow Consultants and associates.

[5] I will not advise or encourage excessive buying at unrealistic levels. I will resell at least 70% of
all products or services that I purchase prior to purchasing additional products or services.

[6] I will convey The Arbonne opportunity to prospects with honesty and integrity and I will not
misrepresent actual or potential sales or earnings. I realize that each individual's success is
accomplished through their individual efforts.

[7] I will make courteous and prompt exchanges and/or refunds to my Clients and I will assist my
Clients who have ordered product directly from Arbonne International.

[8] I will maintain a basic loyalty and professionalism to the network marketing industry as a
whole and will not engage in unwarranted criticism of other network marketing companies.

[9] I will abide by local, state and federal laws that govern my independent business. I
understand that it is my responsibility to comply with these laws, the laws of my industry and
with Arbonne's Policies and Procedures as they may be amended from time to time.

[10] I will uphold this CODE OF ETHICS and I recognize that its success will require diligence to
create an awareness among all of Arbonne's Independent Consultants. I will not, in any way,
attempt to persuade, induce or coerce another party to breach this Code. Any such action is
considered a violation of this Code and thereby a violation of Arbonne’s Policies &
Procedures.

“Things You Need To Know” about Policy Compliance

Please be advised that it is a VIOLATION of Arbonne’s Policies & Procedures to:

1. Sell, advertise and promote the Arbonne product and opportunity online outside of the myarbonne.com
program. This includes internet classifieds ads, i.e. Craigslist, MySpace, Facebook, YouTube, eBay,
Amazon, and the like.

2. Use Arbonne product names, logos, trademarks, copyrights, symbols, slogans or photographs for online
advertising, including television and radio.

3. Use any variation or abbreviations of the Arbonne name for email addresses or domain
names.

4. Publish, post or distribute any material in connection with Arbonne that is defamatory, libelous,
disparaging, threatening, offensive, harassing, abusive, obscene, pornographic or in violation of applicable
law.

5. Make any income claims. This does not prohibit you from explaining the Arbonne's compensation plan
and the potential to earn income, by referencing Arbonne’s ICCS.

6. Make any claims that Arbonne’s products can treat or cure disease (including personal testimonials) as to
therapeutic, curative or beneficial properties of any products offered by Arbonne. Make sure to use ONLY
claims that are approved and published on Arbonne’s website or in printed material.

7. Use non-Arbonne approved advertising, tools or materials to sell or promote the Arbonne products or
opportunity.

8. Enroll a spouse or other immediate household member of an active Consultant under any other sponsor
other than the front line of the first business (the “Senior business”) in the Immediate Household.

9. Sell or display Arbonne products to the general public in any office or business/commercial outlet, or
through home shopping network programs (i.e., HSN, QVC). The product may not be displayed in public
view, such as in a window display. Examples of outlets that may not sell Arbonne products or display
promotional materials include department stores, beauty supply stores, supermarkets, drug stores, health food
stores, discount establishments, swap meets, mall carts, kiosks and flea markets.

10. Offer any non-Arbonne products or business opportunities in conjunction with the offering of Arbonne
products or business plan. Arbonne Independent Consultants are free to participate in other business ventures
or marketing opportunities, however MAY NOT attempt to sell, solicit, enroll, encourage, or influence in
any way, either directly or indirectly, another Arbonne Independent Consultant or Client to enroll or
participate in another direct selling program. This includes introducing another direct selling program to an
Arbonne Independent Consultant OR the Consultant’s immediate household family member.

This is an informational flyer only, and provides examples of some of the areas in which there are the
most frequent, inadvertent violations of Company policies, and does not abridge or otherwise modify
Arbonne International’s Policies & Procedures. Please refer to Arbonne’s complete and unabridged most
current SuccessPlan and Policies & Procedures.
New Consultant Checklist

1. ___Put a professional message on my answering machine or call notes.

2. ___Open a separate bank account for Arbonne (not a business account)

3. ___Get a credit card to use to place my Arbonne orders. (GET ONE WITH FLIGHT MILES!)

4. ___Get some things like a file box and folders from Wal-Mart to help me get organized. (Make sure you have

separate files labeled for ORDERS PENDING, BACK ORDERS)

5. ___Get on my upline RVP’s e-mail blast list. I do that by e-mailing my RVP and asking her to put me on her

blast list. My RVP’s email is ___________________________________.

6. ___ Order my business cards from “The Place” (www.arbonne.ca).

7. ___ Create labels for all of my business aides. (Include name, Independent Consultant, contact info)

8. ___ Put together Hostess, Purse, Prospecting Packets (“How to…” enclosed)

9. ___ Put all meetings on my calendar. (See Arbonne Events)

10. ___ Make a plan of action to go District with my sponsor and go over it with my sponsor/upline.

11. ___ Get an e-mail address strictly for my Arbonne business. (As per the Policies & Procedures Manual, this e-

mail address cannot contain the word “Arbonne” anywhere in it. Keep this address professional.)

12. ___ Read through your Arbonne Policies and Procedures Manual. Highlight anything you need clarified and

check with your sponsor/upline.

13. ___ Make sure you read through the CODE OF ETHICS, located on the first page of the “Key to Success” and last

page of P & P Manual.

14. ___ Create a “Party Tracking” binder with copies of 3 Part Presentation Checklist & Month Dividers. This will

help you organize yourself for each class and track your organization month to month.

Future NVP Roadmap to Success

1. 1 Class a week minimum. Remember to allow for cancellations so


overbook! We recommend 6 for success, 8 to be great, 10 to win!

2. 2 RE-9 Drop-offs weekly. This is mainly product interest for those


who were unable to attend a class. Your goal is to obviously let them know
about the business, get a sale and book a class.

3. 3 Asks a Day. Asking, “Have you Heard of Arbonne? Will you host a
Presentation?” These are just a few examples. Any ask for your business
will count.

4. Meet with your team once monthly. This is a relationship business.


Ideas: Make-up and Munchies, Call-a-thon, Earn and Learn.

5. 5 calls a day. Ask for classes, make calls to people that you want to
sponsor, calls to those that you want to try the products.

6. 6 hours of follow up monthly. This means 1.5 hours weekly or 30


minutes a day for 3 days. (Ex. Mon, Tues, Thursday FOLLOW UPS)

7. Thank 1 person a day. Write a card, send an e-mail, call them on the
phone. This will teach you to focus on others and will take the focus off of
you (especially when you are having a bad day).

8. 8 hours of personal development a month. For example - 2 hours a


week or 30 minutes for 4 days of the week. Includes any leadership reading,
Arbonne University, National Meeting, Conference calls, NTC, etc.

Your Goal is to hit a minimum of 2500 QV per month


between you and your new personally sponsored consultant’s volume.

REQUALIFY for DM every single month!

Booking the presentation is the first step and by following a few simple steps this could greatly
increase your sales, relationship building, with hostess and their guests and also help you find a
business builder, new clients and of course helping everyone get the best Arbonne experience
possible. Being overwhelmed can cause fear and confusion!!

So let’s remember to keep everything SIMPLE, LIGHT AND FUN!

We want to treat our hostess like gold, not have them do 101 things before their presentation.
You are there to help them earn Free Product and by you helping them it will help you! Make
sure your hostess knows that she also plays a role in the success of her presentation.

#1 is to BE ORGANIZED- have hostess packages ready and on-hand in your bag at every

contaminated; basically keep in mind HEAD TO TOE! If you hostess is not driving distance, make
sure to put ALL kinds of Samples in the Hostess Pack for her to try before her presentation.

Wish list – By having your hostess fill this out ahead of time, it will save time at the end of the
presentation because she will already know what she wants, especially if you have given her a
Try it Basket or various Samples.

Samples Packs- **DO NOT SKIP THIS STEP** It will only prolong sales if you have to hand out
samples at your presentation! Call and make sure that the samples are handed out 5 days prior
to the show. Let your hostess know that when her guests bring back empty sample packets,
they will receive a FREE GIFT. If a guest who has a sample does not make it to the show, don’t
forget to FOLLOW UP with them by phone. You should make it a rule of Thumb to keep in
CONSTANT CONTACT with your hostess before your presentation; this will keep your
cancellation rate to a minimum because your hostess will be excited, as well she will know you
take your business serious and that you are counting on her.
Pre-Profiling
WHY Pre Profile, so we can find and fill a need for everyone at the presentation!

What this means is, you need to ask your HOSTESS for a list of people she has invited to her
presentation, along with their phone numbers so you can touch base with the guests before
hand.

DON’T BE AFRAID of this Step. You are calling to find a need and fill it at the presentation.

What they are currently using and if there was one thing they could change about their skin,
what would it be. And do they have any known allergies?

This way you know what to bring as far as product and information to the presentation. Let

As guests arrive
Greet each guest and use the Sea Salt Scrub at the sink (use this time to introduce
yourself and build a rapport with them). Have the hostess invite them to get some snacks
and take a seat in the room for the Presentation. Give each guest a Client Profile
card/sheet to fill out.
If playing the Deal or No Deal game, hand out the boxes/tins and tell them to hang on to
them, don’t peak and you will explain later.

Have the hostess thank everyone for coming and say a few words to the group about
why she wanted them to hear about Arbonne. (Maybe she can tell about her favorite
product and the difference she has seen).

Make sure to include your upline’s story, what Arbonne has done for you so far (earned
trips, tax advantages, bonuses, 35% discount, friends, time leveraging) and what you see

Get to know the Guests


“I know I had the opportunity to meet you at the sink while we tried the sea salt scrub, but
let’s just go around the table and introduce yourself again, and we are going to start with
our hostess. If time and money were no option, what would you love to do?”

This is an opportunity for you to remember 3-4 names. Remember that the sweetest
sound to someone is their name. Use the names that you remembered while you are
doing your presentation.

When all the guests have shared, this is your time to share your “Eye story”. Also use 2-3
Eye stories of VP’s that you can relate to and share their successes!!

“I want you guys to pay attention to what I do this evening. If this business intrigues you,
get with me after the presentation and I have this magazine (hold up the “Empowering
Woman) to give you that has more information about the Arbonne opportunity.”

Question Game
We will also play a game to allow you to earn a free gift. Each time you ask a question
about a product, you get a chew . Each time you ask a question about the business, you
get a bag of detox tea. The person with the most chews or detox tea at the end of the
presentation will receive the gift (FYI lip gloss-order under $120 for 24 and they cost you
$2!!)

Repeat Insult Patch Test. This is where a human panel uses a product on the
same site for an extended period of time. Arbonne will not release a product
unless it scores zero in this study!
• Formulated without animal products or by-products.
• Formulated without mineral oil: Mineral oil is an occlusive oil that can interfere
with skin functions as well as advanced delivery systems. We choose to use
natural oils that will absorb into your skin. This is very important-remember how
we talked about commercials? Remember when a product uses a delivery

as mineral oil that cannot allow ingredients to be absorbed, it really doesn’t

I have gathered some of my favorites around my house I would like to share.

 Primer-allow everyone to try on the hand or face. Primer diffuses light, fills in

your foundation to be smooth, glide on and use less. This still allows your skin
to breath.
 Anti-Aging Body Care System – Try on everyone’s forearm. This is a

dryness and sun damaged skin, etc. Pass around the “Laminated Before and
Afters” that relate to the RE9 Body set.
 Smart Nutritional Hybrids-this is for your internal health. Easy, convenient

Here are a few tips that can help assist you as you start to prepare hosting “Hollywood
Makeovers”. Remember, these are just suggestions so feel free to add your personal touch.

ease, giving you the confidence to host an event and increase your bottom line monthly.

Impact Your Image online is for every Business Builder who wants a piece of the “Multi-Billion

The first key to a successful Hollywood Makeover is PREPARATION!

How many guests?
• Suggest no more than 5 guests including hostess at a Hollywood make up party.
• This is so important because if your party goes too long, you won’t have time to get
orders.

Coaching Your Hostess is Key


• Get guests excited.
• Prerequisite to a Makeover party should be a skin care class.
• If hostess and guests have not tried the RE-9/FC5 line, get sample to them 4-5 days
before the party so they try it and bring the empty pack to the makeup class. When they
bring the empty pack, give a small gift! (Free Sample, FC5 Mini, etc.)
• Pre-Profile the guests by obtaining guest list from Hostess in advance. Find out as much
as you can about them, develop relationship & trust before you meet in person.

Keep it Clean
• Have an RE9, FC5 skin care line(s) in the bathroom for those guests who do not come
with a clean face.
• Make sure all guests wash their hands before starting.
• Watch for eye infections, cold sores, etc as you do not want someone with these or
other medical conditions using your cosmetics!
• Keep things sanitary throughout (tips online at IYI Site)

• You‘ll need at least 2 Arbonne Precision brush sets
• One per guest would be ideal
• Suggestions (Have these on hand as guests are sure to buy them. They can use their

Renewal Postcard

Once you have been in business for a year with Arbonne, your Preferred Clients & Consultants will begin to
come up for Renewal.

It is important to remind them of their Arbonne Anniversary. Do this easily with a Renewal Postcard. You can
order these postcards from Arbonne Directly in “The Place” online.

Be sure to let your renewals know when you are calling that when they spend 150 QV (approx. $190) that they
get 1 free product of approx. $18 value in their order from Arbonne (see Policy & Procedure manual for details
on this).

The important one to remember is the Renewal RSVP. Regardless of what the consultant or Preferred Client
has spent over the 12 months, they automatically qualify for this special, which is $840 in products for only
$420!!

They have their renewal month & the month after to purchase the Renewal RSVP. They HAVE to renew in
their renewal month, but can wait and do their RSVP in the month after if they wish. For example, for anyone
who signed up in May, they have to renew by end of May but will have May and June to purchase their
Renewal RSVP.

It is important that you be accountable to your clients and maintains your client base! This will help you “go to
the beach” with Arbonne!

At minimum, we recommend that you send the cards to all of the


clients/consultants up for Renewal in your Central District.

an example for how to call a Referral or how to ask for a referral.
This is a combination of Patrice Matteson's and MJ Durkin's techniques.

You can ask for a referral when calling for a variety of reasons. There isn’t just one specific time you
should ask for them. Here is an example of a situation where you can ask for a referral while calling a
referral.

12 STEPS TO A SUCCESSFUL TRADE SHOW

1. Firstly, bear in mind the Arbonne Code of Ethics. Find out if there is already an Arbonne
booth scheduled to set up at the trade show. Please consider with courtesy the size of
the show and if another consultant already has a table booked (before you did), be
courteous and sit it out. Get on the waiting list for next year.

2. Email Mary Da Silva at mdasliva@arbonne.ca for approval from Arbonne Canada in


order to participate.

3. Decide how many Consultants are needed to work the show and fill the spots/shifts.

4. If you are the “owner” of the show, you are also the leader of the show. Fill the
spots/shifts and appoint different tasks for everyone involved in working the show. IE:
set up, tear down, showcase, tables, draw baskets, signs, banners, miscellaneous items,
table skirts **Product on display should be opened and available as testers.**

5. Set up a conference call with all participants to go over the individual tasks. Everyone
should be on the call! It is very important to delegate and to speak with each other
personally. Emailing duties will not work. Ensure that everyone knows their shift.

6. Everyone should be responsible for their own business aids. IE: catalogues, business
cards, brochures, samples

7. Decide together what incentive will be offered and promote this incentive as a group. IE:
If you have a draw for a spa basket, each participant should bring a product for the
basket. Tip: Play the Deal or No Deal game at your table! Make sure your boxes are eye
catching.

8. As a group, you must decide if samples will be given out or sold. Everyone needs to
agree on one way.
Tip: if you sell them you are more weeding out anyone who doesn’t seriously want to try
the product!

9. Be courteous and work together. Don’t sell your shift once you have committed to your
spot. If you must opt out before the show, then contact the person leading the group
and they will fill the spot.

10. Wear comfortable shoes. Dress Professional, no denim.

11. Remember: Fortune is in the follow up with a trade show!

12. Most importantly, have Fun!

When booking your trade show it’s important to make sure that there is only ONE ARBONNE table per show. This
should be on a first come first serve basis. Please do not go to a trade show with more than one Arbonne booth unless
the number of attendee’s is a very large amount. This is a common courtesy and keeping in the Arbonne Spirit!
21 Tips for Business Success
1. Be your own best customer.
First – Develop a clear vision of what you want from this business
(21 reasons).
Second – Love what you do. Your enthusiasm will be contagious!!!!

2. Attend EVERYTHING!! Go to all of the training that is offered to you!


(See Arbonne Events Page) Don’t pass it up! Get with your upline to focus on your
vision. Set Goals and write them down!!! NO EXCUSES! (We are all tired and pushed to
the limit – sacrifice a couple of hours for your business to grow! Sometimes the very
reason WHY you are doing this business will be what you have to sacrifice for a short
while, so you can have it for a long while!)

3. Stay in Action!!!!! 6 classes in 30 days! Try to have no less than 2 classes a week. Ask
your friends to try, compare and give an opinion on our products. Especially encourage
your wholesale buyers to pass sample packs out to friends and explain to your
wholesale buyers that they could service a few of their friends by doing this. *ONLY do
this is they have had a class or have booked a class with you.

4. Edify the company and your team.


a. Never pass negative to the side.
b. Never pass negative down.
c. Always pass negative up!!!!

5. Be a team player! Every time you help someone else get to the top, you are that much
closer to the top yourself. There is no “I” in team. Recognize your team for their hard
work and acknowledge your upline for their guidance!

6. Determine how many hours a week you can spend on your business. What are you
WILLING to do to see results & change your life?

7. Treat your business like a multimillion dollar business. Be professional (ex: if you say you
will call someone, make sure you call them). Make sure you follow through.
a. Make it a habit to say “Arbonne” first. (Ex. What do you do? I own my own
home based business with Arbonne International and am working my (JOB) on
the side). Be proud of this business that is bringing you success! If you don’t
take your business seriously, nobody else will!

8. Be coachable. What your upline tells you might not make sense or may move you out of
your comfort zone, but be willing to do it. Be willing to hear what you might not want to
hear.

9. Drip and wait for the results. Give people you are trying to sponsor a bit at a time. Keep
planting, planting, planting seeds and harvest will come.

10. Have daily action – set daily goals. Make your “to do” list every night for the following
day. Don’t ever put your business down!
a. Don’t mistake movement (organizing your office) for action (meeting potential
business builders, passing out sample packs, sponsoring calls, tracking clients,
etc.)

11. Work on self-development!! (Read books)


• You can’t pursue success. Work on being the right person and success
will come to you.

12. Don’t make decisions based on how you feel! If you think you can’t do this, try harder!
It can and will work for you. Make your business work!! YOUR attitude is YOUR choice!

13. Work in your fear zone. Once you do it, you feel great! Be confident in yourself by
believing in your business. Everyone can benefit from Arbonne … so why be afraid to
share it?

14. Keep it simple. Anybody can do this business (ex: use your class cards, keep your
presentation simple, etc.). Don’t reinvent the wheel.

15. Commit to personal growth. (Ex: Participating in a Women’s Health Seminar, training,
etc.)

16. Visualize and act the part you want.


a. Professional answering machine message.
b. Go to NTC.
c. When you invest in your business, you make your money back.
d. Be committed!!!!

17. Stop listening to dream stealers! Don’t listen to the opinions of anyone who has never
been successful in network marketing.

18. Set the pace. Think of this as your only “job”. If this were your only job, would you
move towards a promotion slow or fast? If you have something to fall back on, you will
fall back!

19. Make a commitment! Have a WHY! Prove to yourself that you can do it!

20. Be willing to do whatever it takes!

21. Above all … pray for your business!
