1) City Hall renovations - Phase II will include the 7th Floor. We will be adding Two Doors at the entrance of the City Atty and the Mayors office. The current conference room will be a waiting area. The conference room in the atty office will be the conference room for the 7th. We will also be adding an office for Robyn and making Betty the receptionist. Total cost is $25,000 and budgeted. The construction will be on nights and weekends beginning in May and last no more than two weeks. Very modern look. 2) ETC site - will be authorizing a peer review of the appraisal for our use only. It will encompase all of the issues whick includes O an M costs, leachate issues and comparables to other sites. According to DEP we will be "negotiating" the price. So our confidential peer review is essential. However, our stance will be and always be we will take it for $1.00. Im trying to get it placed on the BOT agenda for April. As a result of this issue I have been delaying the finalization of the LOI with Project Hopps. 3) Appraisal for the Port - much needed. It will cost approx. $40,000 and take 45 to 60 days. We need this information to negotiate possible deals with interested ship/shore support entities. 4) In preparation of the budget, I need to discuss with both of you my ideas for consolidating PW and Eng as one Department. Also, Housing, Planning, Inspections, CRA, sustainability and possibly Code enforcement as one Department. This is due to Al Garza DROP date effective June 18th and Pat Hubbard leaving and our on going request to creat super departments; and finally, CMPA. Currently, Spears and Ransom are paid by the CMPA (1.75 FTE). We pick up the other .25. We cant alter that due to the new market tax credits. So, that being said, in April the CMPA can decide who they want to hire or decide to retain their current employees. However, my suggestion is that in April Mr. Spears be seperated from city service. Ransom is leased through a temp agency. 5) In preparation of the Budget, we need to notify those individuals who are in DROP with effective resignations this year and next that the City will not be renewing their employment with some exceptions. I have provided a list and the Mayor has designated certain individuals as renewals. The others need to be timely notified as some of them take effect June of this year. 6) Mr. Townsend has requested additional dollars for Legion. We need to discuss. 7) Collective Bargaining status. We need to discuss before Monday's executive session with Council.

8) The possible acceleration of purchasing additional property within the designated Airport Commerce Park. We need $500,000 to do so. Appraisals have been ordered. Money will not be available until July 2013. But I can find the money in the short term. We will then need money for demolition and site preparation. Chamber has been notified and will assist. This project may be needed due to an interest of a company. John F. Asmar, Chief of Staff
