THEME Based on the short story The Teacher by Catherine,the theme is about the struggle of a school children to overcome his problems. Tan Geok Peng has problems with his family especially her father who was a drunker and always beat him.Beside that,she was very shy and does not have a courage to tell others about her problems.She try to tell her own teacher about her problems in her essay.Unfortunately,the teacher was misunderstood. Then,the teacher try to teach her ho to write an essay correctly but she try to shared her problems with her teacher. At last,she was suicide herself.

THEME Based on the short story The Teacher by Alma Flor Ada,the theme is about a good relationship with others people. In this story,we can see that,Lola was trying hard to to teaching her pupils by sharing ger experience and knowledge.For example,she being ask her pupils to ask who are the old man and where he want to go.She also open their mind to see the effect of their action at the future.
