ABSTRACT
Avionics System Design of an Electronic Intelligence Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (ELINT UAV) 1. The report gives a detailed design of an electronic intelligence (ELINT) UAV.
The mission of the UAV is to gain information about enemy radars and develop Electronic Order of Battle (EOB).In this regard the required capabilities and performance specifications were given and in view of this information, a detailed study of different alternatives for avionics systems, avionics architectures. Communication buses and cooling systems was carried out. Finally the best matched systems were selected and an analysis of power and weight distribution iv RESTRICTED

The final analysis shows that all the required performance and capability parameters were closely matched using state of the art modular equipments. The designed UAV is a highly potent modern ELINT platform capable of competing with any third generation ELINT UAV.

DELIMITATION
1. One of the main limitations of the course was the unavailability of avionics
equipment details on the web due to their classified nature. This lead to the drop out of many equipments during the selection process. 2. The unavailability of high speed internet was another problem. This made the
internet search quite time taking .and hectic. A DSL connection would have made the process much efficient and productive.
