Step by step towards a well- organized paragraph
For most students writing constitutes a real difficulty. They think of writ-
ing as a nightmare. Nevertheless, writing can be an easy task with some practice. It is
like any skill which can be developed and enriched. In the following, will be some
easy steps to make your writing task easy and enjoyable
The first step to write a well-organized paragraph is to write a general state-
ment about your topic. For example, if your task is to write a bow 'tourism in Oman' ٤ ‫ﻓﻲ ﺍﻟﺒﺪﺃ‬
you can start by writing about tourism in general. As instance, you can say
''nowadays, tourism becomes an international industry''. ٥ ‫ﺻﺪﻯ ﺍﻟﻤﺼﺎﺩﺭ‬
Second, you should write the main points you will discuss in your paragraph. ٦ ‫ﺛﻘﺎﻓﺔ‬
For example you can say ""Oman has many touristic sites like forts, old souqs and
natural sites'' ٧ ‫ﺗﻜﻨﻮﻟﻮﺟﻴﺎ‬
Third, support your ideas with some examples and details. You can write ٨ ‫ﻫﻤﺴﺎﺕ ﺗﺮﺑﻮﻳﺔ‬
''Oman has many forts like Jalali and Mirani forts'' and then give some elaboration
and details. ٩ ‫ﻣﻘﺎﻝ‬
Fourth, take care of your spelling and your word choice. These are important

because wrong spelling gives a bad impression a bout the person who writes the para-
graph also it may distract one's attention from the main point of the paragraph. ١١ ‫ﺣﺪﺛﻨﺎ ﺍﻟﻤﻌﻠﻤﻮﻥ‬
Moreover, you should be careful with your word choice Some words in English have
many meaning yet; each word will fit in one context but not in the other. The best ١٣ Article
way to check your spelling and your word choice is to use a dictionary. The diction-
ary offers you the correct spelling of a word, the category of the word-noun, verb, ١٤ English Oasis

Dear students: believe it or not,
English language is so easy to learn!
English is a very easy language to learn. You only have to have the desire to learn English.
You can find English everywhere around you, in the ready-made food you daily eat, the drinks
you drink, on the road and many other places. Therefore, you are adviced to take the chance and
read any word in English you face everywhere, learn t and use it in your life. If it is new and you do
not know it look it up in a dictionary or ask somebody who knows it to help you.
Set a rule for yourself to learn English. For example, learn a new English word each day and
use it in your daily life so that you will not forget. Use English words you learn at school as a way
of communication with your classmates, friends and even your family at home. Do not be
ashamed to speak in English at school, at home, or even when you go shopping at large supermar-
kets where you can use English. Do not treat English as a school subject like other subject because
it is a language. Treat English as you treat Arabic. For instance, you can read, write, speak, listen
to Arabic and understand, then why you cannot do themin in English! You can read, write, speak,
listen to English and understand. Just put in your mind that you want to be good at English as a
language not as a school subject and have the strong will to do so and be sure that you will achieve
you aim if Allah wills.
Always remember: English is an easy language to learn. I hope you the best in your study
and life in general. Do your best and leave the rest to Allah.

How do you sneeze in your country?
Do you believe that people over the world have different styles of ‫ﺃﻭﻝ ﺍﻟﺤﺪﻳﺚ‬
sneezing or it is only a biological events that we all do the same way regardless to
our origins and nationalities. Let us have a look at how people over the world ‫ﺗﺒﻘﻰ ﺃﺣﻼﻣﻨﺎ ﻭﺭﺩﻳـﺔ ﺣـﱴ ﻳﻨﻔﻠـﻖ ﺻـﺒﺤﻬﺎ‬ ‫ ﺍﳊﻤـﺪ ﺍﷲ‬،‫ﺍﳊﻤﺪ ﷲ ﺭﺏ ﺍﻟﻌﻠﻤـﲔ‬
sneeze and what customs and traditions follow this special and important event. . ‫ﺑﻮﺍﻗﻊ ﻣﺸﺎﺭﻛﺎﺗﻜﻢ ﺍﻟﻔﻌﺎﻟﺔ‬ ‫ﺍﻟﻘﺎﺋﻞ ) ﻭﻗﻞ ﺭﺏ ﺯﺩﱐ ﻋﻠﻤﺎ( ﻭﺍﻟﺼﻼﺓ ﻭﺍﻟـﺴﻼﻡ‬
Starting with the Islamic countries, in Islamic etiquette, if one sneeze, one would ‫ﻋﻠﻰ ﺳﻴﺪﻧﺎ ﳏﻤﺪ ﺃﺷﺮﻑ ﺍﻷﻧﺒﻴﺎﺀ ﻭﺍﳌﺮﺳـﻠﲔ‬
:‫ﺃﺧﱵ ﺍﻟﻘﺎﺭﺋﺔ‬/‫ﺃﺧﻲ ﺍﻟﻘﺎﺭﻱﺀ‬
say “ Alhamdulilah” which means “ praise be to god”. If you hear someone sneeze, ،،،‫ﻭﻋﻠﻰ ﺁﻟﻪ ﻭﺻﺤﺒﻪ ﺃﲨﻌﲔ ﻭﺑﻌﺪ‬
you say “Yarhamok Allah” which means “may god have mercy on you”. ‫ـﺎ‬ ‫ﺇﻥ ﺃﻣﻨﻴﺎﺕ ﺍﳌﺪﺭﺳﺔ ﻭﺍﻟﻌـﺎﻣﻠﲔ‬
‫ﻫــﺎﻫﻲ ﳎﻠــﺔ )ﻭﺍﺣــﺔ ﺍﳌﻌﺮﻓــﺔ( ﰲ‬
‫ﻭﺃﺣﻼﻣﻬﻢ ﺗﺴﺘﺤﻖ ﻣﻨﺎ ﺍﻟﻌﻨﺎﺀ ﻭﺍﳉﻬﺪ ﻟﺘﻈـﻞ‬
It has been scientifically proved that when someone sneeze his heart stop ‫ ﻭﺍﻟــﱵ ﻳﻌــﺪﻫﺎ ﻣﺮﻛــﺰ ﻣــﺼﺎﺩﺭ‬،‫ﻋــﺪﺩﻫﺎ ﺍﻷﻭﻝ‬
beating and that why when someone finishes sneezing says “ thanks God” because ‫ﻣﺪﺭﺳـﺘﻨﺎ ﺍﻷﺭﻭﻉ ﰲ ﻣﻴــﺪﺍﻥ ﺍﻟﺜﻘﺎﻓــﺔ ﻭﺍﻟﻌﻠــﻢ‬
‫ﺍﻟﺘﻌﻠﻢ ﲟﺪﺭﺳﺔ ﺍﳊﻴـﺎﻝ ﻟﻠﺘﻌﻠﻴـﻢ ﺍﻷﺳﺎﺳـﻲ‬
his heart starts beating again. In England and America, they say “God bless you”. It ‫ﻋﻬـﺪﻧﺎ ﺇﻟﻴﻜـﻢ ﺃﻥ ﳕـﻀﻲ ﰲ ﻃﺮﻳـﻖ‬.‫ﻭﺍﳌﻌﺮﻓﺔ‬
‫ ﻫﺪﻓﻨﺎ ﻣﻨﻬﺎ ﻧـﺸﺮ ﺍﻟﻜﻠﻤـﺔ ﺍﻟﻄﻴﺒـﺔ‬، (١٢-١)
is believed that this custom comes from the time of plague when sneezing was a ‫ﻓـﺈﻥ‬.‫ﻭﺍﺿﺢ ﺍﳌﻌـﺎﱂ ﻻ ﻏـﺶ ﻓﻴـﻪ ﻭﻻ ﻗـﺼﻮﺭ‬
. ‫ﻭﺍﻟﺒﺤﺚ ﻋﻦ ﺍﳌﻌﺎﺭﻑ ﺍﻟﱵ ﺗﻐﺬﻱ ﻋﻘﻮﻟﻨﺎ‬
symptom of illness. ‫ﻭﻓﻘﻨﺎ ﺍﷲ ﻓﺬﻟﻚ ﻣـﺎ ﻧـﺼﺒﻮ ﺇﻟﻴـﻪ ﻭﻫـﻮ ﻏﺎﻳـﺔ‬
‫ ﻓﻤـﻦ‬- ‫ ﻣﻌـﺎﺫ ﺍﷲ‬- ‫ﻭﺇﺫﺍ ﻛﺎﻥ ﻏـﲑ ﺫﻟـﻚ‬، ‫ﺍﳌﹸﲎ‬ ‫ﺇﻥ ﺍﻟﻄﺮﻳـــﻖ ﻳﺒـــﺪﻭ ﻃـــﻮﻳﻼ ﻭﻟﻜـــﻦ‬
In France, people say many things after sneezing. For example, they may say
‫ﺣﻘﻨﺎ ﻋﻠﻴﻜﻢ ﺃﻥ ﺗﺄﺧﺬﻭﺍ ﺑﺄﻳﺪﻳﻨﺎ ﻭﺗﻠﻚ ﺣﻘﻴﻘﺔ‬ ‫ﻄﻮﻯ ﺍﻷﺭﺽ‬‫ﺨﺘﺼﺮ ﺍﻷﻣﻞ ﻭﺗ‬‫ﺑﻮﻗﻮﻓﻜﻢ ﻣﻌﻨﺎ ﻳ‬
“que dieu vous beniss” which means “may go bless you” or A tes vos souhaits which
literally means “to your wishes”. Moreover, they may say “ a tes amours”which .‫ﺍﻹﳝﺎﻥ‬ ‫ﻭﺳﻨﺼﻞ ﺑـﺈﺫﻥ ﺍﷲ ﺑﺎﻟﺒﺤـﺚ ﻭﺍﻟﺘﻘـﺼﻲ ﻋـﻦ‬
means to your loves feelings and relationship) . the expected response is” que les .‫ﺍﳌﻌﺎﺭﻑ ﻭﺍﳊﻘﺎﺋﻖ‬
‫ﻭﺃﺧــﲑﺍ ﻻ ﻳــﺴﻌﲏ ﺇﻻ ﺃﻥ ﺃﺳــﺠﻞ‬

elles n’ ont commence quelles commencent dans quelques jours” which means “ if ‫ ﺍﻟــﺬﻱ‬، ‫ﺇﻋــﺪﺍﺩ ﻭﺇﺻــﺪﺍﺭ ﻫــﺬﺍ ﺍﻟﻌﻤــﻞ ﺍﻟﻄﻴــﺐ‬
they did not start yet, may they start in a few days.” This replay is specially said ‫ــﺸﺒﻊ ﻫــﺬﺍ ﺍﻟﻌــﺪﺩ ﻓﻬﻤِــﻚ‬‫ﻗــﺪ ﻻ ﻳ‬
‫ﻧﺘﻤﲎ ﻣﻦ ﺍﷲ ﺟﻞ ﻭﻋـﻼ ﺃﻥ ﳚـﺪ ﺻـﺪﻯ ﻟـﺪﻯ‬
between clos friends or relatives. In the other hand, Italian say “ felicita” which ‫ﺍﳌﻌﺮﰲ ﰲ ﻣﺸﻮﺍﺭﻧﺎ ﺍﻟﻄﻮﻳـﻞ ﻭﺑﻮﺍﺑـﺔ ﺍﻟـﺪﺧﻮﻝ‬
‫ ﺃﻣﻠــﲔ ﺃﻥ ﺗﻜــﻮﻥ ﳎﻠﺘﻨــﺎ‬. ‫ﺍﻟﻘــﺎﺭﺉ ﺍﻟﻜــﺮﱘ‬
means “ happiness” after someone sneezes. ‫ﳓﻮ ﻣﺴﺎﺣﺔٍ ﻭﺍﺳﻌﺔٍ ﻣﻦ ﺍﻟﺘﺠﺎﺭﺏ ﺍﻹﻧـﺴﺎﻧﻴﺔ‬
‫ﺍﳌﺘﻮﺍﺿــﻌﺔ ﻫــﺬﻩ ﺇﺿــﺎﻓﺔ ﺟﺪﻳــﺪﺓ ﻭﻣﻔﻴــﺪﺓ‬
‫ﻓﻴﻤـﺎ ﺑﻌـﺪ ﻭﺳـﻮﻑ ﺗﺒﻘـﻰ ﺃﻣﻨﻴﺎﺗﻨـﺎ ﴰﻮﻋــﺎ‬
Moreover, it has been told but this really need a verification, that in .‫ﻟﻠﻄﻠﺒﺔ ﻭﺍﳌﻌﻠﻤﲔ‬
China, when someone sneezes, the others in the room bow. While, in Japan, after ‫ﺎ ﲟﺪﺍﺩ ﺃﻓﻜـﺎﺭﻛﻢ ﺃﻭ‬‫ﻣﻨﻄﻔﺌﺔ ﺭﻳﺜﻤﺎ ﺗﺸﻌﻠﻮ‬
sneezing nothing special is said. ‫ﻭﺍﺣﺔ ﺍﻟﻤﻌﺮﻓﺔ‬
All in all, sneezing as a biological event may not differ from country to
country. We all experience this uncontrolled air burst which comes out of our
noses. Yet, what differ are the customs and traditions which follow this event. In
