USS selects Civica for outsourced service to deliver new ICT infrastructure

12 August 2013, Liverpool / London: Universities Superannuation Scheme Limited (USS Limited) has signed a long term contract with Civica to deliver increased efficiencies in its ICT infrastructure, along with improved security and resilience. Based in Liverpool and London, USS Limited is the trustee of the largest pension fund for higher education organisations in the UK with assets of approximately 38 billion. It is committed to providing a high quality and cost effective service for pension scheme members and employer institutions. An essential part of this is being able to operate a highly resilient ICT system. In 2012, the trustee made the decision to virtualise all of its ICT operations in order to deliver a scalable, flexible and agile solution. After a competitive tender it selected Civica to host its ICT infrastructure with a cloud computing solution.
