Sin, Repentance & Forgiveness Say, When I read your email, I could tell that you have jumped

the gun! Firstly, what I wrote in summary form or more correctly 'one-pointedness directly to the spiritual mind' or going straight to the crux or gist of the matter had nothing to do with goats and sheep. Secondly, you comments about forgiveness also indicated that you did not understand the pivotal point in my conclusion that God has nothing to do with worldly sins, repentance of worldly sins and (by extrapolation) forgiveness of worldly sins; nor is God interested in the worldly man and indeed the world. Let me repeat my conclusion - "This is the point or morale of the parable - unless you forsake or forego your false worldly ego of self you will be like the "ninety-nine virtuous men who have no need for repentance". That is why "there will be more rejoicing in heaven over one repentant sinner". Rejoicing is when what "was dead" "has come to life"; and what "was lost" "is found". Do not be like the Pharisees, Sadducees and the Scribes! Sin against God therefore has nothing to do with worldly sins (which are subject to the Immutable Law of You Reap What You Sow) but to do with the Original Sin of separation from God! Repentance is simply forsaking the temporal for the eternal; the worldly for eternity; and mortality (death) for (eternal) life!" I am filled with extreme despondency and despair that despite all my attempts and efforts you deny me the opportunity to set you free from the shackles of the literal worldly interpretation of the Bible and the worldly teachings by elders or priests who are not spiritually awakened. This shows in what you wrote - "Because we all in truth forgive the forgivables. So when someone says he is a forgiving person, he means he is willing to forgive the forgivables. But only the good Lord forgives the unforgivables. That is what the Parable is all about. The true meaning of Forgiving. God never asks us to forget, only to forgive. For many, if I cannot forget, how do I forgive. I am still so so far away from being able to forgive the unforgivables. But I am trying." We will come back to worldly sins, repentance and forgiveness of the worldly false self-ego of the son of man , son of Adam later. Let us get rid of this notion that I am beseeched with the dichotomy between goats and sheep. It is just a convenient expedient means or tool or metaphor to illustrate the differential between 'proud and arrogant' and 'meek and subservient'. I did not invent it, Jesus invented this metaphor, as did he the dichotomy between 'darkness and light' to distinguish between worldly wisdom and spiritual wisdom and worldly existence and spirit existence. These tools are necessary so that we can focus on the two key ingredients required to know God. No, it has nothing to do with forgiveness. The greatest sin is 'pride' which comes from the false worldly ego of self; this is the main ingredient or obstacle to liberation or salvation. Then we have the misunderstanding that the false worldly ego of self will be liberated or saved. No, God is Spirit! What is flesh is flesh and what is spirit is spirit! Render unto Caesar what is Caesar's and render unto God what belongs to God! God and Heaven are beyond human words and worldly comprehension. Only the spirit can comprehend and discern the Spirit. The quest should start with spiritual awakening or to be reborn in the spirit. This has nothing to do with worldly sins, worldly repentance of worldly sins or worldly forgiveness of worldly sins. Without spiritual awakening we will not be able to perceive

that the kingdom of God is not outside us but within us! Without spiritual awakening we will continue to see God only at church when we should see God in everything and see everything in God! How do I explain spiritual insight? Worldly eyes see the worldly human body. X-Ray eyes see the bones and even see the electrons out there. But it takes spiritual eyes to see the spirit or the soul! Do not be literal! Even if you start off being literal , the ability to read is rudimentary. Reading itself is not knowledge. The 4 Gospels do not contain every single word that Jesus spoke in his lifetime. If we had in writing every word Jesus spoke it would make up the entire ancient library at Alexandria. But if worldly knowledge cannot interpret the 4 Gospels the problem would be worse if we had to interpret an entire library! Only spiritual wisdom can understand the Parables. Why? Because Jesus said so! He said if you worldly see you are blind to the parables! Please do not hang on to every word in the Bible or the manner or form or the ritual; or we will end up like the Pharisees, Sadducees and the Scribes. Go straight to the spiritual essence. Yes, it is definitely spirit over substance! Now let me explain why God and Christianity has nothing to do with worldly forgiveness. Do not take forgiveness of God as foremost in your mind. Just have God solely in your mind, heart, body and soul! That was a trick question! If you do not know how God looks how would you know how his forgiveness is like? If you do not know how God looks how do you have God solely in your mind, heart, body and soul! All these rambling preaching in church and yet no one bothered to ask how we get God on our mind. Remember that God is Spirit! The answer is very simple when you are spiritually awakened. You have God on your mind when you do not have an ego mind. When you do not have an 'I' or 'My' or 'Mine' as a prefix or adjective to your thoughts, you have God solely in your mind etc. When you are totally humble and egoless you are practising the First of the Twin Commandment. In the Sermon on the Mount in Matthew 6, after the Lord's Prayer, Jesus said at Matthew 6:14 "For if you forgive other people when they sin against you, your Heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if you do not forgive others their sins, your Father will not forgive your sins." But note, why focus on this point when it is a minor point when compared with the entire Chapter 6? If you look for a common thread in Chapter 6, it would be not to have an ego and also not to worry about your worldly self. Why? Because the worldly ego of self is false! It is not the eternal spirit son of God! Let us now turn to what Jesus said in John 20:23 - "If you forgive anyone his sins, they are forgiven; if if you do not forgive them, they are not forgiven." Let us go through this commandment slowly and logically. Let us hypothesise that I committed a worldly sin against you. Assuming that the Immutable Law of You Reap What You Sow will continue to apply. If you forgive me, my worldly sin against you is forgiven. My bad karma is automatically expiated. If you do not forgive me, my bad karma remains. So far so good. But assume to the contrary that you have not forgiven me. Then God will also not forgive you! But assuming unlike me you are totally righteous and upright like the 99 people who have no need for repentance in Luke 15:7 (the parable of the one lost sheep out of a hundred); what sins do you have for the Father not to forgive? Why then is there no rejoicing in heaven for the 99 upright people in the said parable? Again the answer is very simple when you are spiritually awakened. When you are self-upright or self-righteous, even when you are pure and pious, you are still separated from God. You still have an 'I' of an Idol before Him. That is the Sin that the Father will not forgive you. If God is not interested in you when you have no worldly sins why should He be interested in

your worldly sins, should you have them? In any case, God already said so as much, just that we never twitched on this. Study John 20:23 again. Put it in reverse gear. If you have worldly sinned against me and I do not forgive you, then your worldly sins are not forgiven, and you still get the bad karma. It is up to me to forgive and not God to forgive you. God can only forgive your Sin against him. He can only forgive the Original Sin of Adam in you as the son of Adam! God does not judge, does not condemn and He forgives only any sin against him. As God is Spirit the sin against him must be in the spirit and thereby the Original Sin of separation from the Father is our spiritual sin! God does not judge or condemn because what is good for the geese is good for the gander. See Luke 6:37 where Jesus said - "Do not judge, and you will not be judged. Do not condemn, and you will not be condemned. Forgive and you will be forgiven." and Matthew 7:1-2 where Jesus said - "Do not judge, and you will not be judged; because the judgments you give are the judgments that you will get, and the standard you use will be the standard used for you." Remember what you do as a worldly being is not the concern of God! The Immutable Law of Cause and Effect takes care of all worldly karma! Remember what Jesus said to the adulteress in John 8:11? - "Neither do I condemn you, go and sin no more." He did not say anything about forgiveness of her past sins of the flesh! Remember what Jesus said in John 8:15 to Pharisees who were judging him in worldly terms and what he did - "You judge according to the flesh (i.e. worldly things); I judge no one (i.e. worldly things)." Now the Good News! First let me quote from Luke 15:25-32 25 'Now the elder son was out in the fields, and on his way back, as he drew near the house, he could hear music and dancing.26 Calling one of the servants he asked what it was all about.27 The servant told him, "Your brother has come, and your father has killed the calf we had been fattening because he has got him back safe and sound."28 He was angry then and refused to go in, and his father came out and began to urge him to come in;29 but he retorted to his father, "All these years I have slaved for you and never once disobeyed any orders of yours, yet you never offered me so much as a kid for me to celebrate with my friends.30 But, for this son of yours, when he comes back after swallowing up your property -- he and his loose women -- you kill the calf we had been fattening."31 'The father said, "My son, you are with me always and all I have is yours.32 But it was only right we should celebrate and rejoice, because your brother here was dead and has come to life; he was lost and is found." ' Once you forsake your false worldly ego of self, the idol you have before God, that separates the spirit son of God in you from the Spirit Father and you are back home, your Original Sin is forgiven by the Spirit Father. Whatever is past is water under the bridge. You were dead (as a mortal being) and has now come back to life (as the eternal son of God); you were lost in the world (Sin City) and now you are found (your true spirit being and home).Your worldly sins that have committed do not matter because they remain and are left behind in Sin City and with your past alter ego of false worldly ego of self (which is of another world anyway). Even if your worldly sins are not forgiven (as illustrated by the reaction of the elder brother) it does not matter. A Father's love is unconditional and boundless. A father takes his son and children as the son is and the children are, warts and all. There is nothing to to repent or forgive when you are one and not separated. It is like the left hand not knowing what the right hand is doing! When there is no 'ego' of judgement or condemnation where is the need for 'ego' for forgiveness? Who judges and who forgives? All of Jesus' teachings can be summed up by His Twin Commandments and are all spelt out in the Sermon on the Mount. Love. Chuan 16/9/13
