Review the section in Chapter Two entitled Looking to the Future: Three Ways of Looking at Globalization. Make an argument as to which way you think globalization is headed. Defend your reasoning. The world has undoubtedly become increasingly interconnected. The way in which our economic and political boundaries have merged have changed the ways nations interact with one another. We not only trade goods and money, but also trade jobs and ideas to compete in this international market. What is the future of international business and globalization? Well, there are three different perspectives on what the future might hold. Some believe that future globalization is inevitable. They note that advances in transportation and communications are so pervasive that consumers everywhere will demand the best products for the best prices regardless of their origins. Moreover because MNEs have so many international production a nd distribution networks in place, theyll pressure their governments to place fewer rather than more restrictions on the international movement of goods and the means of producing them. Others however, think that in the future international business will grow more along regional rather than along global lines. This argument is based on studies that indicate that companies tend to conduct international business in neighboring countries. Its logical that when companies first engage in international busine ss, they expand into neighboring countries first and continue outwardly from there. This helps reduce transportation costs and companies can benefit from regional trade agreements that reduce barriers. Still others feel that the pace of both globalization and international business will slow down. There are some of the negative effects of international business activity. Economic recession, growing political instability, and rising fuel costs among other things, threatens to slow international business growth. With my personal opinion, I think globalization is Inevitable. The market economy became universal. Under the impact of globalization, the need for integration of the world economy, the activities of the national expand cooperation in economy appear. It not only in the bilateral trade relationship but also with the higher forms is to build economic institutions and global sector. Implementation of international integration has become an urgent need for all countries to take advantage of the globalization of the actual operation. Globalization and economic integration are always hidden two possibilities: opportunities and challenges, struggle and cooperation, autonomy and dependency... The ability to affect dependent on the ability of the host country. In summary, global economic integration is an inevitable trend. Which countries catch rate trends, that take advantage of opportunities and overcome challenges will development. Reject or deny that economic globalization is self-excluded themselves from the world's development.

Review the section in Chapter Two entitled Looking to the Future: What will Happen to National Cultures? There are four scenarios described. The United States is a melting pot of many cultures and would probably be classified under Scenario 1. Japan, on the other hand, has a very strong cultural identity and would be classified under Scenario 3. Which scenario is Vietnam currently in and where is it headed? Defend your reasoning.

The process of globalization has an important significance for the culture of different countries around the world. Culture should be seen as a specific aspect of globalization, not only as a reaction to the globalization of the economy. Cultural Globalization does not mean setting the culture of the whole world. Fact, in this process including the clash and conflict of cultures. According to Daniel, there are 4 scenarios of global culture: new hybrid cultures will develop and personal horizons will broaden; outward expressions of national culture will continue to become homogeneous while distinct values will remain stable; nationalism will continue to reinforce cultural identity; existing national borders will shift to accommodate ethnic differences Culture Vietnam joined the World cultural space while maintaining its own identity without sealed within their culture. As in some other countries in Southeast Asia, in Vietnam, globalization raises the localized culture: cultural globalization is received but with significant distortions. In other words: the ongoing search for national identity, to protect culturally. It is observed that globalization strategy common values "from the West" has caused opposition by maintaining barriers of traditional culture of the society that is based on the traditional structure values, have a long history of developing civilization. Vietnam socialist is one of these societies. In the process of historical development, the people of Vietnam have been exposed to many cultures have a higher level of civilization, including Chinese culture, Western culture. The process of acculturation that long, there are "forced culture" and "cultural dialogue" ... Vietnam cultural fusion expressed in reception and acculturation. Many East-West cultural elements have been modified for cultural enrichment Vietnam while maintaining national identity. It is undeniable that culture will be affected by trade, the economy, and some aspects of it will affect many people are not satisfied. Globalization will pose many challenges, many new problems for those who have a certain cultural prejudices. But the challenges and problems that are inevitable when society changes, generations collides, and the international exchange increasingly more intricate. The cultural diversity of cultural heritage will make cultural heritage of humanity more abundantly. References A.A. Sokolov-Vietnam Culture: globalization and market.
