Membership in the GCRC is open to representatives of all government organizations interested in recruitment or college relations activities; representatives of all post-secondary institutions concerned with placement of students and graduates into public sector jobs and internships; and to college students interested in networking with government employers. The History of the Organization

The Government College Relations Council (GCRC) was founded in Chicago in 1968. It is a professional association that supports working relationships between representatives from accredited post-secondary colleges and universities and federal, state, county, and local governments. An Executive Board and Steering Committee govern the organization and reflect the diversity of the membership. They are made up of both elected and appointed officials from GCRCs general membership. The work of the Council is performed by elected officers and committees. The structure of the Council, within which business is conducted, is directed by the constitution.
