HOW TO ENJOY GOD

TRUTH: God is highly glorified when we are most satisfied with Him!

DO YOU KNOW that there are 7 Hebrew words for the word PRAISE?
A) Yadah = to extend to throw out the HANDS in praise. B) Towdah = the EXTENSION of the hands in adoration or acceptance. C) Shabach = to address in a loud tone; to command; to triumph; to glory; to SHOUT. D) Halal = to be clear to shine; to boast show; to rave; celebrate; to be clamorously FOOLISH. E) Zamar = to touch the STRINGS and is used concordantly with instrumental worship. F) Tehilah = to sing; to laud; it is a sort of chanting whereby the words of HALAL were melodiously CHANTED. G) Barak = to kneel DOWN; to bless God as an act of adoration.

DO YOU KNOW that Celebration is the final emphasis in the Book of Leviticus?
The book gives instructions for the FEASTS. These were special, regular, and corporate occasions for remembering what God had done, giving thanks to him, and rededicating lives to his service (see chapter 23 of Leviticus). As believers in the Lord Jesus Christ and the Bible, we too, need special days of worship and celebration with our brothers and sisters to remember Gods goodness in our lives. Celebration is a time of rededication to holiness. Celebration of thanksgiving in praise and worship is a rededication to worshiping God in both private and public display. We have to be CELEBRATIVE we have to be THANKFUL always! Do you know that in the 3 principal festivals of the Old Testament namely: Passover, Pentecost and Tabernacles, all the males were required to attend?

On each of these occasions every male Israelite was commanded to appear before the Lord (Deuteronomy 27:7; Nehemiah 8:9-12). The attendance of women was voluntary. (Compare Luke 2:41; 1 Sam. 1:7; 2:19.) The promise that God would protect their homes (Ex. 34:23, 24) while all the males were absent in Jerusalem at these feasts was always fulfilled. These festivals, besides their religious purpose, had an important bearing on the maintenance among the people of the feeling of a national unity. The times fixed for their observance were arranged so as to interfere as little as possible with the industry of the people. The Passover was kept just before the harvest commenced, Pentecost at the conclusion of the corn harvest and before the vintage, the feast of Tabernacles after all the fruits of the ground had been gathered in.

DO YOU KNOW that Worship is our Ultimate Response to God?

We are made for His pleasure. We were made for Him. It should be done in SPIRIT and in TRUTH. Our MIND, HEART and STRENGTH must be totally involved. It is the pure way of Enjoying God and God enjoying us. Love the Lord your God... This is the first and greatest commandment. Matthew 22:37-38 (NIV)

DO YOU KNOW that in the Book of Revelations, worship & praise is all about Allegiance, Adoration and Admiration?
"You (God) created everything, and it is for your pleasure that they exist and were created." Revelation 4:11b (NLT) One of the BEST pictures of Praise and Worship is found in the LAST of Book of the Bible, the book of Revelations. That Salvation belongs to our God and that the whole world will become the kingdom of our Lord and his Christ, and he will reign forever and ever Revelations 11:15b Then the seventh angel blew his trumpet, and there were loud voices shouting in heaven: The whole world has now become the kingdom of our Lord and of his Christ, and he will reign forever and ever.
