This consists of set of image & signal processing algorithms used for various types of inspection programs. This project focuses on automating part visual inspection to identify dimensional irregularities defects and grade the product quality. Such appearance based defects like irregular gaps, dents, pores, scratches and chipping may occur due to various reasons like machine error, manual error, manufacturing faults, part misalignment, mishandling of products or raw materials during transportation etc. Features for defects are extracted and quality index is calculated for ok or bad part.
