• Can you and I can are key phrases in English that make conversation a lot easier.
• Repeat until the kids seem to get it – as a last resort have the HRT translate into Japanese.
• Then, practice with the kids a few times, asking them “can you ____?”
• Go through all the vocabulary on page 26, make sure the students understand.
4. Listening ~ リスニング活動
13:40-44
• Hand out the page 26 worksheet.
• ALT says “I can ______”
o Students point to the various activities.
5. Gesture Game ~ ジェスチャー ゲーム
13:44-48
• Do some gesture from page 26. As kids figure it out, they raise their hands and ask “Can you _____?”
• Depending on time, perhaps have students come up to play.

• “Can you ___?” guessing interview game
