Achievements: Revised job descriptions previously completed by outside agency. Discovered errors resulting in miscalculations related to job classification, duties, and pay. Extern MPA Program, University of Arizona Worked with Assistant County Manager to broaden knowledge of county government, inclusive of assisting HR, Prisons Medical/Mental Health Unit and interacting with all departments. Updated FMLA and Sick Leave policies and provided research for development of social media policy. Achievements: Revised FMLA and Sick Leave policies to attain compliance and ensure policies were complementary. Board of Supervisors adopted both policies on first presentation. Both policies ensured lack of loop-holes and ensured FMLA met federal guidelines. County incurred residents' request to provide services to veterans. Board of Supervisors mandated a link be installed on County website to address issue. Needs assessment determined offerings provided by local, state, and federal government (financial assistance, housing, health, job retraining, employment sites, etc). Designed, implemented, assessed and evaluated student and faculty satisfaction of curricular change, relaying findings to administration/clinical faculty; participated in sessions with Phoenix campus considering a merger of the two medical curricula; planned and hosted the Interdisciplinary Curriculum. Achievements: Developed mixed-design faculty and student satisfaction surveys. Provided quarterly presentations on longitudinal satisfaction of curricular change, resulting in better informed clinical faculty with enhanced group/teaching skills. Developed Interdisciplinary Seminar Series focused on topics inherent to medical , nursing, and pharmacology students. Became sole person responsible for all educational responsibilities, inclusive of expanding the GS curriculum; redeveloped defunct Surgical Assistant (SA) Program; assisted in development of Trauma/Critical Care Fellowship, and prepared accreditations for each program. Developed/edited policy and revamped curricula. Supervised personnel. Trained surgeons in best practices related to teaching. Attained Assistant Professor status and conducted research, published in surgical journals, presented at regional/national conferences, and served on regional, and national committees to increase department recognition. Achievements: School ranked in bottom 1/2 among 125 medical schools. Enhanced curriculum, worked with faculty to demonstrate improved teaching methods, longitudinally evaluated curriculum. Scores on residents annual exam increased, with school increasing rank among top third. The GS program encountered its 5-year accreditation. Single-handedly prepared entire process; prepared residents for accreditation interviews; ensured accuracy of resident and clinical medical student files; and worked with accreditors during visit. No citations were received, a first for the GS program. Tasked as Program Director for SA program. Conducted initial accreditation process, receiving no citations; increased student body three-fold, increasing departmental revenue; expanded curriculum and faculty to meet accreditation guidelines, creating a two year program. Controlled a $103,000 annual budget.
