As contracts engineer and regional technical focal point for directional drilling, formation evaluation while drilling (FEWD) and electric wireline contracts, successfully managed global framework contracts for the Africa Region. Through regular demand and capacity reviews with service companies, successfully maintained resource availability in these key contracts at the peak of global bottlenecks in drilling services.

2002-2004 Operations Well Engineer, Deepwater, USA and Morocco Reporting to the Senior Drilling Engineer (in Houston) and the Drilling Superintendent (in Morocco), responsible for providing well engineering input to the subsurface team, producing well engineering designs (including well programmes) and planning in conformance with Shells DTL (Drilling The Limit) process. Carried out tender and bid evaluation for drilling services and consumables procurement. Put in place HSE documentation in collaboration with the Moroccan environment ministry. During the drilling phase, managed daily drilling operations for two deepwater wells in accordance with the drilling programme. 1999-2002 Offshore Drilling Supervisor, Deepwater, Brazil As Offshore Drilling Engineer responsible for the DTL process, supported the Senior Drilling Supervisor in delivering the deepwater drilling Program using a 5th Generation floating Drilling Unit. Was an integral part of a successful ten-well campaign, and was later involved in well planning for one ultra-deepwater well with surface BOP. With the high daily costs in deepwater activities, the focus was on continuous optimisation of drilling performance. Through implementation of the DTL process, achieved cost savings in the region 10% over twelve wells.
