Jackie Anne U. Antig BEE-3A JOURNAL ENTRY NO.

1 Topic: Exercise and Physical Fitness Monday, July 15, 2013 Lecturer: JNAT The lecturer said that Exercise and Physical Fitness is any bodily activity that enhances or maintains overall health and wellness of a person.

My thoughts There are many ways to be physically fit such as having correct nutrition, exercise, hygiene and proper rest, but, is it really effective or it is just a waste of time? How can we say that it is effective?

JOURNAL ENTRY NO. 2 Topic: Gender Equality Friday, August 23, 2013 Lecturer: JNAT Gender equality, implies that men and women should receive equal treatment. The importance of gender equality is understood by its inclusion as one of the eight Millennium Development Goals

My Thoughts Gender and equality is a human right. If we wont allow women to participate in sports, its just like we are stepping their rights. Women should not be discriminated since they also have hidden abilities.

JOURNAL ENTRY NO. 3 Topic: Theories of Play Wednesday, August 07, 2013 Lecturer: JNAT The six theories of play are Relaxation, Preparation, Recapitulation, Cathartic, Camparsation, and Competence/Effectance theory. My Thoughts: Knowing these six theories of play is very important since it affects the perception of why and how children play and it answers the phenomena on how play affects the development of the child. Theories are said to be repeatedly tested. What happened at the end of the test? Does these Theories of Play yield possible outcomes?

JOURNAL ENTRY NO. 4

Topic: Outdoor Education Monday, August 26, 2013 Lecturer: JNAT Outdoor education usually refers to organized learning that takes place in the outdoors.

My Thoughts: Mountain climbing and hiking are two examples of outdoor activities which we had experienced as we went to Mount Salumayagon, Lake danao and Kasilihon Falls last August 26, 2013. We started walking from Sungay at 9:45AM and we reached Mount Salumayagon at 3:00 in the afternoon. Before I decided to go there with my friends and classmates, I asked myself and wonder, Does this activity worth exerting effort? Ive been there already when I was still

in elementary. Maybe it is still just the same. If I will go with them, for sure, I will get tired of walking. If I wont, seems like, I will miss the experience with them and when they discuss things about it I wont longer relate. This will be my final decision, I will go with them. I wont care if I will get tired, whats important is the new experience that I will acquire. Did my parents allowed me? Of course, Im such a princess in our house, what I want is what I get. Sounds bad right? Well, it is, but I know what I am doing. I also know how to analyze things whether it is good or bad. As we walk towards Mount Salumayagon, we met various challenges; we climb over the mountains, we crossed the river, others get dehydrated, majority get tired, some collapsed, shoes were destroyed, others became hungry, yet, all of us never surrender and that activity is a prove that we are survivors. At Mount Salumayagon, you can feel the gentle touch of a cool breeze on your face, slight howl from the wind and a refreshing smell of the air which relaxes and calms the soul. There, I have a birds eye view on the nature that god gave to us. At Mount Salumayagon, you are free to fly as high as you can, and there, you can somehow realize how lucky you are to be in this wonderful world. As we went to Kasilihon Falls, I was amazed of its improvement since there is a cottage already. Ive been there already when I was still a first year college. The water at Kasilihon Falls is cold like an ice. The water flows smoothly and freely between the rocks. There, I found myself enjoying every second of my life as I plunged my head into it which really made my whole spine to shiver. That activity made my muscles to stretch out, taught me some good values and made me to somehow realize that I have a big role in preserving and protecting our environment. I enjoyed that activity so much and I learned a lot of things that will be now applicable to my daily living. In general, this is what I can say now Bahalag Kapoy Basta Enjoy. To our instructor, thank you so much Sir for letting us experienced such unforgettable moment.
