Luke 15
1 Now the tax collectors and "sinners" 19 I am no longer worthy to be called your son; make
were all gathering around to hear him. 2 But the
Pharisees and the teachers of the law muttered,
"This man welcomes sinners and eats with them."
3 Then Jesus told them this parable:
4 "Suppose one of you has a hundred sheep and
loses one of them. Does he not leave the ninety-
nine in the open country and go after the lost sheep
until he finds it? 5 And when he finds it, he
joyfully puts it on his shoulders 6 and goes home.
Then he calls his friends and neighbors together
and says, 'Rejoice with me; I have found my lost
sheep.' 7 I tell you that in the same way there will
be more rejoicing in heaven over one sinner who
repents than over ninety-nine righteous persons
who do not need to repent.
8 "Or suppose a woman has ten silver
coins and loses one. Does she not light a lamp,
sweep the house and search carefully until she
finds it? 9 And when she finds it, she calls her
friends and neighbors together and says, 'Rejoice
with me; I have found my lost coin.’
Genesis 3
1 Now the serpent was more crafty
than any of the wild animals the LORD God had
made. He said to the woman, "Did God really say,
'You must not eat from any tree in the garden'?"
2 The woman said to the serpent, "We
may eat fruit from the trees in the garden, 3 but
God did say, 'You must not eat fruit from the tree
that is in the middle of the garden, and you must
not touch it, or you will die.'"
4 "You will not surely die," the serpent
said to the woman. 5 "For God knows that when

together and made coverings for themselves.
Matthew 24
1 Jesus left the temple and was walking away
when his disciples came up to him to call his
attention to its buildings. 2 "Do you see all these
things?" he asked. "I tell you the truth, not one
stone here will be left on another; every one will
be thrown down."
3 As Jesus was sitting on the Mount of
Olives, the disciples came to him privately. "Tell
us," they said, "when will this happen, and what
will be the sign of your coming and of the end of
the age?"
4 Jesus answered: "Watch out that no
one deceives you. 5 For many will come in my
name, claiming, 'I am the Christ,' and will deceive
many. 6 You will hear of wars and rumors of wars,
but see to it that you are not alarmed. Such things
must happen, but the end is still to come. 7 ation
will rise against nation, and kingdom against

birth pains.

field. When he came near the house, he heard

Ephesians 6:10-18

Isaiah 6
1 In the year that King Uzziah died, I
saw the Lord seated on a throne, high and exalted,
and the train of his robe filled the temple. 2 Above
him were seraphs, each with six wings: With two
wings they covered their faces, with two they
covered their feet, and with two they were flying.
3 And they were calling to one another: "Holy,
holy, holy is the LORD Almighty; the whole earth
is full of his glory."

friends. 30 But when this son of yours who has
squandered your property with prostitutes comes

always with me, and everything I have is yours.
32 But we had to celebrate and be glad, because
this brother of yours was dead and is alive again;
he was lost and is found.' "
